I discovered your blog just yesterday and I have to stop by for telling you how amazed I am by the literal art you create! Wow, I’m stunned and marveled. ✨ I’m really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future. 💜
Ahhh thank you so much! I love doing my crazy costuming thing and sharing how it all comes together <3 Definitely gonna keep working on the Briclot concept Loki, and next projects are probably Vax (Critical Role) and maaybe another Rings of Power Galadriel because I have grand thoughts about shooting at the ice castles again this winter o.O

Sad that Ashton didn't keep the Boots of Speed because as Taliesin said, they could do terrible things.
Base 80 feet walking speed when the Boots get activated is already pretty hefty, but when paired with Ashton’s more mobile rage modes? It is wild.
In Spatial mode, it's possible to travel 200 feet in one round without dashing. If it's a swarm fight and Ashton manages to knock someone out with each attack, that's two 60 foot teleports plus the 80 walking speed.
And Temporal mode is Vax-level absolutely bonkers once Hyper Rage is activated. Quadrupled speed because the Boots and Hyper Rage both double, so the base walking speed is 160 feet.
Oh yeah, and the whole time they’re zipping around in these boots, Attacks of Opportunity are at disadvantage. Want to see how many enemies they can get to waste their reaction the first time or two they go for a run?
Also, pairing this with the push and damage bonus of the Belt of Momentum? So evil.
So yeah, Ashton should have kept the boots. He doesn't go down enough to need the ring.

Confession time:
In the campaign, I loathe Mythcarver.
Vox Machina are given the Vestige as a sidenote - 'here are the locations of a ton of cool ancient weapons, and also this sword I can just give you guys'. While every other Vestige involves a quest for it, or at least some planning, often with some degree of expectation of who will get it (Fenthras, the Titanstone Knuckles, Whisper, the Plate of the Dawnmartyr, the Spire of Conflux - they all really fit one party member well. Cabal's Ruin is more up in the air until we find out who has it, and the Ward has already been given to Vax by this point). Many of them are tied to character moments for the party members in question - 'take me instead you raven bitch', the killbox, 'my heart is someone else's', 'i forgive you, but I cannot let you leave'.
Scanlan doesn't get a noble quest with his friends to power him up. Scanlan does's even do anything of particular note in Kamaljiori's canon trial. He's just... given this Vestige as loot, and because it's made with bards in mind and he's the bard so he should get it.
Except Mythcarver doesn't suit *Scanlan's* style of bard, at all, and I can count the number of times he uses it on one hand, one of which required heavy prompting by Matt because Sam was so used to ignoring the thing. It's a glorified stat stick that buffs some abilities but never sees use because Scanlan is so heavily focused on support spells. It can't match the damage output or utility of his spells, so it just sits on his belt looking pretty. He gets one cool moment with it, against a minor boss, and that's it.
(Notably, he pulls it out and tries poking for a Blinked enemy during a critical fight which I'm not naming due to spoilers, and he just... still doesn't get to do anything with it. That one round could have prevented a death - sinking a turn into trying to use that sword actively hurt the party. It sucks.)
Credit where credit is due: I really appreciate the vision Matt had for the weapon and the intent behind it! On the other hand, it just... further fed into Scanlan feeling like he was an afterthought to the party. They didn't go on a quest for him. They didn't even think of getting him a Vestige - he's just handed one, in a fairly forgettable sidebar, and then hardly ever uses it again. It sucks. I hate that stupid sword.
So when I tell you I was grinning so, so massively during episide 6 of season 2 -
Mythcarver isn't given to Scanlan by default - it's given to him, specifically, by a friend. Kamaljiori is the first person to see through his exterior, his many masks, who bonds with him over love and longing and sincerity. It's not an offhand 'oh while you're here take this' it's for him. He gets a cool moment with it!! It reveals the locations of the other Vestiges!
Here, now, Mythcarver represents what Scanlan wants to be: a hero, a valued friend, someone who matters and has an impact on the world. Someone loved.
(And also noteworthy that this happened not long after Pike was dismissive of him, too. Whistles.)
And then Umbrasyl swoops in to take it, singling Scanlan out for what he carries - and Kami fights for him. Kamaljiori protects him, over and over and over, not for Mythcarver but because it’s Scanlan, it's his friend. He's going toe to toe with an ancient black dragon for Scanlan. And dies for it.
Not only does Umbrasyl kill Kamaljiori but he steals this Vestige. This gift for Scanlan alone, this first fucking testament to having mattered to someone, to being valued and cared for. Mythcarver isn't just a reward, it actively pushes the plot and Scanlan's character development forward, gives Scanlan what he's been quietly looking for in the background, and then viciously takes it away.
(This also gives Scanlan a bigger motivation to be part of that one stupid plan with Vax that's in the trailer: Umbrasyl killed his friend and stole something representing everything Scanlan wants. And he wants it badly and he wants it back, you flying fuck.)
I can't wait to see what's in store. This was, I think, my favorite change to TLOVM so far after 'darling take off the mask' getting a bigger Moment. I can't believe they gave weight and meaning to that stupid sword and I'm here for it.

AITA for refusing to file for disability in order to pay bills?
I quit my job right when COVID started surging in 2020 because my boss refused to mask and I'm immunocompromised; I also didn't wanna bring that home to my partners (I'll call them Fox and Rabbit), one of whom is also immunocompromised, or our then-toddler kid either. (Plus, my boss wasn't paying me consistently on-time or the full amounts I was owed, but that's another can of worms)
However, I wasn't able to find anything work-from-home (I have auditory processing issues that make phone jobs impossible, plus we didn't have internet so I was just hotspotting off my phone to get online), and because of lockdown, safety concerns, and lack of a vehicle, I couldn't really get an in-person job either, so I did as much as I could taking care of household budgeting, conflict resolution, and looking after our 3-4yo kid along with Fox (who did most of the actual housework, as I wasn't able to be outside my room much because I was severely allergic to the pets there at the time).
Rabbit (kid's bio-parent) became work-from-home after a brief stint on unemployment due to their employer fucking around, staying over with their coworker/other partner (I'll call Rose) for the internet, and our other roommate contributed to rent until he moved out, so we were able to stay afloat and safely isolated for a while at least, and I started teaching our kid to read and write as my main share of the household contribution, which everyone at least claimed to be fine with.
Fast forward a bit, and both me and Rabbit got extra people in the household mix; a partner who I'd been involved with online for some time (Chomps) moved in with us, and Rabbit married Rose and moved in with her officially, with the kid staying on non-workdays with them and otherwise being looked after mostly by Fox and I. Eventually, with leases on both our places running out but with all of us outspokenly committed to working together, we all moved into Rose's parents' house (while they were overseas on vacation; they wanted caretakers there to look after Rose's younger sibling, who is disabled). Rose's parents--who are also polyam and very well-off--offered to bankroll a new home for all of us so we didn't have rent to pay for a while and could just catch up on things. Chomps even secured a decent-paying job. Things were going very well!
Then, a significant wrinkle came when Chomps needed to quit due to COVID concerns (anti-vaxxers in a high-risk environment, no vaccines available for small kids yet so we were mostly worried about the kid as we'd all been vaxxed at that point otherwise). At the time, everyone agreed that was a good idea! So, everyone braced for financial belt-tightening, and Chomps quit.
At this point, I was barely eating one meal a day out of guilt for my inability to contribute much, but I was also homeschooling our then-pre-k-into-kindergarten-age kid, and helping cook food and handle chores. Due to both Rabbit and Rose working from home and complaining of connection issues whenever anyone else used internet, me and Chomps could barely job-hunt (our phones didn't really get signal out there either), and without the ability to drive or a consistently-available vehicle, we worried constantly about providing for the household. Still, Rose and Rabbit reassured us that it was fine and getting handled.
Until one day it apparently wasn't, and Rose started getting onto me specifically (having been jobless for a couple years at this point, only getting two interviews despite putting in literally hundreds of applications) about filing for disability. Her opinion was that I could "just be on it until [I] got a job". That is not how disability works, and I told her as much, and refused to even start that process instead of continuing to look for work that I could feasibly do (which, frankly, was already taking as much time and effort as a full-time job, just with no financial benefit).
Granted, I could probably qualify for disability benefits, since I have physical and mental issues that make my range of possible employment pretty limited (though, as I'd been able to put in hundreds of applications to things I was sure I could do, it's far from impossible for me to work). However, the type of disabilities I would most easily and likely qualify with are the kind that would also very probably have my autonomy removed (this has been confirmed by two doctors and a therapist independently of one another). Plus, I'd be unable to marry Fox (as we'd agreed to do years and years ago) or get a job again without risking the loss of any benefits I could manage to secure, and also making it incredibly hard to recover those benefits if/when I further deteriorated down the line due to age, injury, or other factors and actually couldn't physically work.
So, while continuing my (unexpectedly unsuccessful) hunt for employment beyond a once-monthly gig that paid ~$75 (which is how I bought my own essential toiletries and groceries), I homeschooled the kid (which was a success, to the point that they later rolled into 1st grade with reading, writing, and math proficiency well above their peers!!), did most of the house troubleshooting and repair, and used as few resources as possible to minimize my impact on household finances, to the point that I averaged eating only one meal each day for years. Still, AITA for not just biting the bullet and giving up on the job hunt to prioritize securing disability payments?
(It's been about two years since that point and our current situation is stable despite partial dissolution of the polycule, with Fox and Chomps both working and paying the entirety of my portion of "rent" on the place Rose's parents bought her, while I continue to job-hunt with help from the state's vocational rehab dept. Fox and Chomps reassure me every time that they can see I'm doing my best and they're happy to take care of me as needed; I still feel fucked up about not being able to contribute financially and take care of them and everyone else in the same way, and wonder all the time if I made/am making the right call by refusing to pursue disability benefits unless I absolutely physically cannot work.)
What are these acronyms?

love that people could very well have mistaken Vax for being a follower of the bertaryer god The Cloaked Serpent because he is an assassin who uses poisons (on his daggers) and he has a magical snake belt
wonder if that ever got him and the party into trouble

Percy being 'like that' in perpetuity is so very in character and funny and I'm still not over it truly. He's a shitty little bastard to literally everyone he knows, this coming from someone who loves him dearly, he's a bratty, snooty posh dickhead to everyone and despite that he had Keyleth, Vax, Vex, Pike and god only knows the guests and NPCs crushing on him at least a little bit, yes his heart is very big and he can be so so so sweet and kind and loving to those who have earned his affections but even to Keyleth, his best friend (re: every moral argument they have ever had), and Vex his beloved wife, (re: truly god I can only remember him flat out telling her absolutely not you scrub go bother someone else when she wanted to help him build her broom's seat but I know there has to be more) he's always had the capacity to be an asshole. Capacity and will without fail or hesitation fall back on being a snooty, aloof, uptight prick. (Edit: no hang on it's time to dogpile on mommy's special little man, in one of the prestream vines he literally threatens to skin someone and make a book out of the people leather and no I don't know the context and I don't need to, there's no way it was justified, this dramatic numbskull has literally always been like this)
Percy's traumatic start was not his fault and I would say that Im on the fence about Orthax being his fault because he says himself that he thought the deal was just a dream, but he does then choose to kick off the whole briarwood arc (starting a fight in Uriel's backyard almost getting them jailed for treason, defingering that one guy, setting that house full of people on fire for a second) and then just go full supervillain for a very long little while, and that most certainly is his fault even if the influencing factors were out of his control, and he fucked up a lot. A lot. And VM, his family, forgave him. Plenty of times. Ressurected him despite the dangers and loved him through his truly worst moments and saved his humanity alongside his life. And now here he is denying Laudna that same chance (while she has altogether done far far less to deserve her death) and I am not at all surprised because he lets his fear direct all of his decisions to an alarming degree. And! Not only that but he is wildly impulsive and has a bad habit of making decisions by himself because by Taliesin's own words Percy always thinks he's the Smartest person in the Room at any given time. He lets fear rule him, he's impulsive, he thinks he knows better than or can outsmart the consequences of his actions, and he's unfortunately very good at eloquently explaining himself. A true recipe for disaster. But, he's scared under it all. Has been for a while.
He's scared of Anna, Delilah, Sylas, it might come off as anger but I'd put money on the fact that that's because he could afford to be angry or at least focus on the anger, cuz he had Orthax gassing him up making him think he actually stood a decent chance at killing them all, he had his family besides him and some decent kills under their belt, he had Anna down an arm locked away in his dungeon cell and they had Pike on their side and Sarenrae with her, but I know they scare him far more deeply than he ever wants to admit (because he doesn't like having situations be out of his control either naturally, cuz the first time that happened he was brutally tortured, orphaned, kicked out of his ancestral home and beset upon by a demon taking maaaajor advantage of him) and now that he's free with most of his soul intact, now that his whitestone is once again full to bursting with life and laughter and children (children he never thought he'd deserve), now that he's settled into the leadership role he never thought he'd be ready for, now that he's settled down into domestic life with his wife whom he loves so much she brought him back to life, he is once again letting that fear (and the certainty as always that his every idea is the only one to have) rule all of his decisions. This is so incredibly on brand for Percy I could puke, and I know he's gonna apologize to Vex for being snippy later so fine Matt, well played I suppose.
Percy might be a dick but he's also a pillar of Vox Machina, these selfish dickheads brought out the very best in that bright young man and I know that with a bit of time he'll pull his enormous head out of his ass and get down to business, righting wrongs and writing lefts in true Vox Machina fashion. He's a hero at heart, even if he is retired, he just needs a bit of time to (over)think it all over.

Let Her Shatter
This fic is part of this writing challenge, as well as based on the prompt Memories from this prompt list. Day 2 - Write a scene without any dialogue. [Read on AO3]
Two weeks. That’s how long it takes Keyleth to return home for good. But is it really home? It still feels like it, but, at the same time, it also feels like there is something missing, and it’s not just because Keyleth has spent the last few years traveling Exandria with her companions. No, that is just a grain of sand in the sandpit. Through her adventures, Keyleth learned that home is not simply a physical location, but it can also be people, and without him, home feels emptier. So, no. Maybe Keyleth is not actually going home, not when he is not with her.
Korrin is waiting on the other side of the magic portal with a small entourage of guards (Keyleth warned him about her return so her father wouldn’t be worried sick about her most recent adventure to the Windswept Depths of Pandemonium). The relief on his face is evident once he sees his daughter alive and in one piece, but Keyleth sees the shift in his expression as it dawns on him that she crosses the portal alone when once she had a shadow behind her.
There is no need for questions, and with the guards standing behind Korrin, looking equally confused, there is no opportunity for Keyleth to run into her father’s arms and break down into tears. Keyleth must wait until she is finally alone in her house (the one she shared with him, the one they left together, thinking they would return in a few days) to let out the primal scream she has been holding for two weeks, to break everything in sight, to punch and kick, and cry herself to sleep. Keyleth feels so empty, but simultaneously full of anger and frustration. She couldn’t do anything to stop him from leaving… from dying, even. If anything, she made it worse. She made Vax witness his own death before it happened. It’s all her fault. She should have done more to save him, to stop him from being disintegrated. Maybe if she had been good enough he could have stayed with her. It’s all on her.
Korrin must sense the cloud of darkness that assaults her thoughts because he grabs Keyleth into a tight hug. Fuck the guards and anyone watching, Keyleth knows is what her father is thinking. He’s right. In this moment, she’s not the Voice of the Tempest, she’s just Keyleth, a young woman who had her life taken away from her, and Korrin would be in the ground before he allowed anyone to say anything otherwise. But no one bats an eye or even dares to look their way. Keyleth’s face might be buried in her father’s embrace, but she still hears the guards’ footsteps leaving, growing quieter and quieter until it’s just the sound of the wind rustling the leaves of the cherry tree behind her, the low, muffled sob Keyleth finally releases, and Korrin’s sniffle against her head.
Keyleth doesn’t know what comes next or how she’s supposed to take on the mantle and lead her people when the one person she needs the most at her side is gone. She doesn’t know if she’s ever going to be able to return to her house and see the spare pair of boots that Vax always left by the door—one always askew on the floor, even though Keyleth scolded him everyday before she righted it—or the training daggers hidden in every nook and cranny. Keyleth chuckles wetly at the idea of finding daggers and weapons hidden everywhere years down the road when she thought she had found them all. Maybe one day she can look back at the fond memories of Vax hiding daggers in the umbrella rack or behind the couch cushions and smile, but today she cries because he’s not there anymore to replace the blade Keyleth took from its hiding spot in the fertilizer bin once she realized she’d forgotten her gardening knife. Vax will not be there anymore to scold her for dirtying his blades with manure, or tease her for using Whisper (which rarely left his belt) to peel potatoes in the kitchen.
Maybe tomorrow will be better, maybe next year it will hurt less, maybe the next decade will bring her solace, but today, in this moment right now, all Keyleth wants to do is let grief consume her. She will pick up the pieces later, but for now… let her shatter.

Thinking about Supernova and gentle touches. For the first few months of their actual relationship, Vax flinched whenever Kerry goes to touch him. Ker doesn’t take it personal, instead he just pats his hand gently and pulls back. They’ll try again later.
Vax keeps waiting for Kerry to up and leave him, because why would a rock star like Kerry wait around for some low life to stop flinching, to stop being him, why would he wait around for V anymore? Surely there’s several people wishing they had a sliver of what Vax had. There were.
But Kerry didn’t want them. Kerry wanted Vax. The only person who looked at him like he was a person. Who didn’t make him feel like a drama queen when something upset him. Vax was patient with him, it was only fair he gave the same treatment back. They would move at Vax’s pace.
Sometimes Vax didn’t want to be touched, sometimes holding hands was too much. That was fine, Ker held him by his belt loop or linked their pinkys together. If Kerry was honest with himself, sometimes he didn’t want to be touched either. Sometimes he wanted to start a fight with Vax just to see how far he could push the merc before he started fighting back. But he never did. Vax didn’t deserve that.
They are both simply trying their best, but as long as their last words to each other at night are “I love you”, everything is okay.

“And daylight doesn’t stop dragons, but one day someone will.” -Vex’ahlia, Kith and Kin
This quote is so beautifully poetic considering the events of campaign 1. If you haven’t read Kith and Kin yet, I highly recommend it. Wanna find out where Vex got to study dragons? Wanna find out how Vax got Simon, his living snake belt? Wanna learn who taught Vax to pickpocket? Or how actually awful their father was? I cannot recommend this book more. I listened to it while working, and between Liam and Laura reading their character lines so well, and Robbie’s excellent narration, it was quite the experience.
Being a Star Wars fan I’m used to kinda bad books that LucasFilm hired some uninterested writer to write that mischaracterizes most of the characters and has a plot that couldn’t be more pointless, this book is such a nice refresher. I guess I have to remember that Critical Role still makes quality content, as most of my interests have fallen to capitalism driven laziness.
Anyways read Kith and Kin! It’s so good!

My name is Ro, though you may know me from my main blog (@jorisjurgen) and art blog (@atchamcrepin). On this blog I had posted random dissections of Dofus Aux Tresors episodes in a rewatch liveblog format, and now post about other Jurgen-Crepin related things.
My goal is to solve Crepin-Jurgen related lore.
Things to know:
This was my uhhh. 6th-11th rewatch of this show. Who even knows anymore.
I welcome any lore related asks, even if I may not know something.
I only tag posts with character names if I think I analysed them at least a little, or if the post is quite informative (has trivia that isn't available in any of the shows).
I hope not to spam the tags too much & that it will be entertaining in some way.
※ Please read on desktop/in your mobile browser. Chronological tag links are broken on tumblr's mobile app.

so since my brain has been in Legend of Vox Machina land since the trailer dropped I kind of wanted to try my hand at putting all the scenes we see in context with the episode order and my best guess on when they take place. Just my speculation based on context clues. Obviously MAJOR SPOILERS for the entire season and a very long post under the cut. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
Based on these clips and the episode structure released I think the plot of the season is going to go thusly:
1. The Conclave attacks and the fallout around that. We end in Whitestone with Kima and Allura providing direction to Vasselheim.  2. Our heroes get refused at the Platinum Sanctuary, meet Zahra and Kash, have to prove themselves, and get information on the Vestiges of Divergence. Grog gets his beard-giving belt. We meet Victor either here or in episode 4/5.   3. SUNKEN TOMB 4. Sunken tomb aftermath. Vax visits Raven’s Crest. I’m guessing this is where we meet Kaylie and Dr. Dranzel, based on the double meaning alone. (”Those who walk away...” from the Sunken Tomb and from their accidental daughters??)  5. Pyrah and Raishan backstory. Vex either gets her broom in this episode or episode 4. Keyleth gets her new outfit.  6. Mythcarver and Kamaljiori. I think that we go into Westruun at the tail end of this episode before leaving for the Feywild. I actually don’t think that we are going to get Craven Edge denouement in this based on the clip of Pike trying to talk to Grog about Craven Edge as they head towards Gattshadow. I think this means we will get to Westruun at the end of Episode 6 and the stinger will be our heroes scouting out the town and then leaving. Also makes this a Scanlan episode which means we could introduce Kaylie here, although I think that’s late in the season for it.  7. Feywild part 1, Feywild shenanigans meeting Garmelie and arriving at Syngorn 8. Feywild part 2, Syldor and Saundor and the title, this is going to be Vex’s episode 9. Westruun, we meet Willhand and Scanlan helps survivors escape with Kaylie. Craven Edge denouement which leads directly into the fight with Kevdak.  10. Kevdak 11. Umbrasyl part 1 12. Umbrasyl part 2 and wrap up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:01 - 0:12 is all clearly footage from Episode 1. Big dragon attack, lots of destruction, etc. Picking up exactly where we left off at the end of last season.
Tumblr media
0:13 we get this shot. Vax is in Deathwalkers Ward, Keyleth has her new Ashari colors which I am assuming we get at Pyrah, and Vex seems to be holding Fenthras. I think this probably is going to take place in the last episode of the season, in Umbrasyl’s lair.
Tumblr media
0:14 is our first glimpse of what I can only assume is the Raven Queen communing with Vax. I’m guessing that this takes place in Episode 4 “Those Who Walk Away”, but could be elsewhere as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:16 - 0:18 is this shot of Keyleth saying “It’s like the end of the world” followed by Thordak and Vex, Keyleth and Scanlan narrowly being missed by a fireball. All of these I’m pretty sure are from Episode 1, based on Keyleth’s outfit and that I doubt we’ll see Thordak again until next season.
Tumblr media
0:19 we get Vax asking what the plan is. I think this takes place in Whitestone with Allura and Kima, right before they go to Vasselheim. End of Episode 1 or start of Episode 2
Tumblr media
Followed by this shot at 0:20 of the Chroma Conclave together. Probably episode 1 or possibly in Episode 5 as a flashback to Raishan’s role in everything.
Tumblr media
0:21-0:28 is Grog vs. Raishan. “19 doesn’t hit,” indeed, Grog. More from Episode 1, to set up the main plot of this arc.
Tumblr media
0:31: Keyleth opening the Sun Tree with Cassandra, Keeper Yennen and Gilmore watching. Guessing this will be at the top of Episode 2 to start us going to Vasselheim. (I doubt we are going to get back to Whitestone until Season 3.)
Tumblr media
0:31: Scanlan making plans in front of Trinket. Hard to tell from context clues when this is but we’ve got sunset lighting. I’m going to take a stab and say Episode 3, or in the Feywild. Could be anywhere though.
Tumblr media
0:34 team shot!!! Based on the shape of the buildings in the background and the lighting this is Whitestone, probably Episode 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:35-0:36 is definitely going to be Episode 5 in Pyrah, possibly with Percy worried about his flammability because he’s just loaded up on black powder at Victor’s shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:37-0:38 Vex’s spit take here and the following group shot seem to be in the same place (the trees are very similar). Neither Vax nor Keyleth have their new outfits which means we haven’t been to Pyrah or the Sunken Tomb yet which means either episode 2 or early in Episode 3 for both of them. Lighting on the first shot matches Grog’s beard growing, and lighting on the second matches ice skating above the Sunken Tomb. These are probably different scenes, I’m guessing from episodes 2 and 3 respectively.
Tumblr media
0:40 New building architecture + snow says this shot is probably Vasselheim! It matches the sunset lighting of the previous group shot. Interestingly we’ve got Grog separated from the rest of the group and in shadow so maybe our first hints of Craven Edge stuff? I’d guess this is Episode 2, probably around when we meet Zahra and Kash.
Tumblr media
0:41 Interestingly it seems this bar scene takes place later on, with Keyleth in her Fire Ashari outfit! I’m assuming she gets the upgrade in Episode 5, which means this is Episode 6 or later. Probably Westruun but could take place in Vasselheim or Whitestone as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:42-0:43 we get this orc-looking guy getting into a fight with Grog and some clever editing to make it look like he’s getting into a fight with Grog.  Interestingly though those big wide open arches don’t suggest that this is a bar fight. They actually seem to match the architecture from when Keyleth summons her wall of thorns in Episode 10... And whoever Grog is punching in that final shot doesn’t actually seem to be the same guy. I don’t think these are the same fights.
Not sure what episode orc-guy is from, I think it’s the same bar episode as the rest based on the crowd behind him and the white-haired lady drawing her sword later on, which places this Episode 6 or later. Those last two shots are definitely from either the end of Episode 9 or Episode 10.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:44 Keyleth falling, definitely the same episode as the bar shenanigans from before.
Tumblr media
0:45 we get this interesting character. No idea who she’s supposed to be other than some bar tough. I think this is from the same episode as the other bar scenes and wherever we get that orc-guy from.
Tumblr media
0:46 Vex has the broom, and hopes some asshat falls into lava! I think this has to be Episode 5 in Pyrah (there’s sparks drifting down).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:47 - 0:52 we have Vox Machina getting kicked out of the Platinum Sanctuary, almost certainly at the very top of Episode 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
0:53 We meet Osysa and get our first glimpse of the Vestiges of Divergence!! Which is likely going to be the arc of Episode 2, meeting Zahra and Kash and capping off with meeting Osysa who gives Vox Machina the quest for the vestiges. Interestingly her speech seems like it’s cut somewhat awkwardly, which means it’s probably going to be longer in the actual show.
Tumblr media
0:56 we get out first shot of the Titanstone Knuckles and what could be Kevdak! (Although he has hair, so maybe it’s not Kevdak?) This might be pulled from Osysa’s speech about the Vestiges but could also be from a later reveal of Grog and Pike backstory.
Tumblr media
0:57 Pike facing down a sphinx. I think this might actually be Kamaljiori rather than Osysa based on the size and Pike’s role in that fight. But also the markings are slightly different based on what we see from Kamaljiori later in the trailer.
Tumblr media
0:58 Vax at Raven’s Crest wearing the Deathwalker’s Ward. I think this is almost certainly Episode 4, since I doubt once we leave Vasselheim we’re going to go back until Season 3.
Tumblr media
0:59 we get this shot of Raishan, most likely from Episode 1.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:00 - 1:04 Grog gets his beard!! I think this must happen in episode 2 or 3. Neither Vax nor Keyleth have changed outfits yet, so I think this is probably during the Trial of the Take equivalent or right preceding the dive into The Sunken Tomb.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:04 - 1:06 Kamaljiori firing off laser beams at Vax! This probably takes place in Episode 6 based on the episode titles alone, which means that something else is going to happen to trigger Craven Edge.
Tumblr media
1:07 Scanlan, Kaylie and Dr. Dranzel’s Troupe. I’m guessing they’re going to want to introduce Kaylie as early as possible before stuff in Westruun. Might be as early as Episode 2 although I have a feeling Episode 2 is going to be packed already. Based on the title of the episode I’m gonna say Episode 4 in Vasselheim.
Tumblr media
1:08 Keyleth and Zahra opening the way to The Sunken Tomb which places this smack in the middle of Episode 3.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:09 - 1:12 We’ve got this Beholder-like creature, followed by Keyleth and Scanlan saying they’ve pissed something off. I think they’re talking about the Beholder-beast, which is clearly a copyright-friendly stand in for the Beholder in the Sunken Tomb. Episode 3!
Tumblr media
1:13 - 1:14: Scanlan doing some arcane skating above the lake that holds the Sunken Tomb.
Tumblr media
1:14 Pike yelling at someone that Vox Machina is trying to save the world. Interestingly this line also sounds slightly cut down. I wonder if it was originally “we’re trying to save the fucking world”.
Tumblr media
1:15 and seems based on lighting that Pike was yelling at Zahra and Kash in the Slayer’s Take, probably after being rejected by the Platinum Sanctuary. Zahra doesn’t look impressed (although I think this is probably some clever editing and this reaction might be towards Vex rather than Pike). Regardless I think both these shots are from Episode 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:16-1:17, Keyleth summoning some thorns in Episode 10. Interestingly this architecture matches up with the big arches sees in Grog’s fight earlier in the trailer, which makes me think that that’s not actually him vs. Kern and rather Grog v Kevdak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:18 - 1:20 we get a series of shots that I can only surmise are going to take place in the Feywild. Look at all that weird flora and those psychedelic colors!! These have got to be from Episode 7.
Tumblr media
1:21 Grog coming out of the Pokeball for his final attack at Kevdak, solidly Episode 10.
Tumblr media
1:22 Percy is shocked by something new. Vax in Deathwalker’s ward and Vex on the ground and what looks like a chest full of gold to their right. Based on the gold which I think was the herd’s tribute to Umbrasyl, this is probably the start of the Umbrasyl fight which puts this at Episode 11.
Tumblr media
1:24 Scanlan and Pike trying to save Mr Winky from a wolf. Doesn’t look snowy enough to be Vasselheim so I think this is the lead up to Kamaljiori in the Frostweald which means episode 6.
Tumblr media
1:25 Vex uses Raven’s Slumber to summon Trinket. There’s sparks flying through the air and the general ashy atmosphere makes me think Pyrah so episode 5.
Tumblr media
1:26 And Vex on her broom vs Umbrasyl! Looks like this is indoors which means in the lair, which means Episode 12!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:27 - 1:37 our longest gag, Vax and Scanlan prepare to go inside a dragon the only way they know how. With a brief cutaway to Episode 1 and some poor lady melting to underscore how dangerous Umbrasyl’s acid breath is but otherwise this entire sequence will be in Episode 11.
Then we get the title card and release date!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1:43 - 1:57 We get Scanlan in the baby bjorn! More context on this clip was released on twitter. Keyleth and Vax are in their new outfits and that’s clearly Gattshadow in the background which means they’re headed down to Westruun. Pike is trying to talk to Grog about Craven Edge and he’s not having it. Pretty sure this puts us at Episode 6!
Anyways those are my thoughts, we shall see if any of them pan out a month from now!! (I can’t wait!!)

Am I hearing this right? Stars wars and Vox Machina? Together? Where?
Most of it isn't fit for human eyes right now, but:
“I think this means we’re now officially broke,” Vex says, turning her belt pouch upside down over the table. A single solitary credit chip tumbles out, bouncing across the surface, and Vax nabs it out of midair, checks the number displayed on it, and winces. He hadn’t thought straits were that dire.
“I could swear we had at least a few thousand credits left,” he says.
Leaning out of her seat, Pike snatches the chip from Vax, doing her own check. “Are you remembering before or after that stop on Zeltron?” she asks dryly.
“Before, most certainly.” Vax sinks back in his seat, casting a glance at Vex, who pulls a face at him, clearly aware of what he’s thinking. “After Zeltron remains…rather hazy.”
Pike rolls her eyes, tossing the chip back to Vex. “Is it enough for a ride off-planet? If we want to pick up any more jobs, we need to be somewhere that isn't a war zone.”
With a huff, Vex sinks back against Vax, letting him take her weight, and Vax obligingly shifts to brace himself better so that she can. “That depends. On a ship? Probably. On a ship that can manage hyperspace without shaking itself to pieces? Doubtful.”
“Great,” Pike says on a sigh, sinking back down. “There’s really nothing here?”
“Nothing for a group,” Vax says. He’s been checking the Guild’s posts religiously, but any sort of employment has been thin on the ground.
“We could, despite all evidence to the contrary, separate briefly to tackle jobs with less pay,” Percy says dryly, leaning over Vex’s shoulder to check her pad. “Some of these are relatively profitable, if…unsuited to certain members of our company.”
“Hey,” Pike says halfheartedly. “We’re fine.”
Percy raises one pointed brow, gaze sliding across the spaceport cantina to where Grog and Scanlan seem to be in the middle of retelling the story of their last job through drunken interpretive dance for a very unimpressed barkeep, and says nothing, very loudly.
Pike winces.
