“Educaplay”

Conforme pasan las semanas, voy aprendiendo sobre nuevas plataformas que facilitan y favorecen el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes, un ejemplo de esta es Educaplay, una herramienta que permite crear actividades educativas de diverso tipo, como crucigramas, videoquiz, relacionar columnas, sopa de letras, ruleta de palabras, entre tantas otras.

Sin duda que se potencia como una plataforma que permite innovar en la sala de clases a los docentes, tratando de que los estudiantes sean los responsables de su aprendizaje, con una herramienta que para ellos y ellas resulte llamativa y significativa.

La página web de Educaplay, además de permitir crear actividades, se pueden visualizar las actividades de otros miembros que se pueden buscar por área (asignatura) y curso, ya que, cada una de estas cuenta con un título y descripción que la acompaña.

Sin embargo, cuenta con un pequeño detalle que en general poseen todas las páginas web, y es que para poder acceder a ciertas garantías, se deben hacer usuarios premium para evitar publicidad, restringir el acceso a las publicaciones y tantas otras opciones a las que se deben acceder con un pago de por medio.

Nos permite diseñar nuestras propias actividades educativas online, entre las que caben destacar: crucigramas, adivinanzas, dictados, sopas de letras, tests, mapas interactivos, relacionar, videoquiz, ordenar palabras, presentaciones, colección y diálogo.Este soporte virtual también se caracteriza, aparte de contar con las diversas actividades, nombradas anteriormente, que nos servirán de ayuda para aprender y disfrutar jugando, por facilitar al usuario a acceder a recursos educativos basados en las actividades anteriores.Otra de las utilidades de la plataforma es el acceso a participar y crear grupos en los que poder compartir trabajos o actividades. Gracias a que este soporte cuenta con juegos online, los usuarios podrán ver las actividades jugadas y sus puntuaciones en el apartado de ránkings.La opción premium permite al usuario crear un blog de diferentes maneras: gratuita, es decir, con un número de funciones limitadas. Lesson 9 (sixth day) - Educaplay

For this lesson we have chosen the platform “Educaplay” because it is a very easy option to create our own games for children to use as a tool of knowledge for them to work with them all kinds of topics.

As an online platform, we don’t need to download anything, so I think that is a good advantage because is more accessible tthan other types of apps or programs. 

At “Educaplay” we have a big variety to create different activities. That is another advantage, because for example as teachers it offers us many possibilities, and for children it becomes more fun and less boring, since they can play different games and not always the same. So, at “Eduaplay” we can find for example: Crosswords puzzle, order words, alphabets soups, relate columns, alphabet soups, riddles, matching columns, activities to complete, dictations, videoquiz, among others.

Another aspect to take into account, in that we can use this programe in different lenguages such as Spanish, French, English, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese, so that is perfect for us.

To find the program according to what we were looking for, in our case we used Google Chrome to search it with the following words in spanish: “cómo crear actividades educativas”, and we entered in the in sixth option of the first page, where we found "Educaplay” as the best option.

We decided to create a crossword game. The link to our activity is the following one:

We think that this kind of games make the children to put into practise the concrentration and to focus in the objective (find all the words). We add a short definition of all of them to make them to give clues to find the exact word that fits and also to make them understand better the meaning.

We also believe that crossword puzzles make the kids learn the vocabulary, more quickly, become familiar with it, learn how to write it and its meaning by having fun. In our case we made the crossword puzzle based vocabulary related to the TRAIN, because our topic is “Means of transports”. The words that we include in our game are: “wheels”, “station”, “wagon”, “seat”, “door”, “platform”, “train driver” and of course “train”.

Las actividades informativas son importantes por diferentes puesto que benefician al estudiante que estudia en modalidad b-learning o e-learning, para que pueda comprender, construir, crear, analizar, sintetizar y formar un pensamiento crítico para los conocimientos que se le imparten.
