thinking about how Ronan letting his hair grow out was a form of freedom from his family,,
bc according to his job changes lore, from spell knight, dragon knight to abyss knight, his hair grows longer, w the sole exception of aegis knight, a job directly linked to his role as royal knight and heir from erudon family
like spending time outside w the gc he obviously doesn't have time to cut his hair, but it could also be a way to separate himself from his family's expectations
also if u consider in gcdc for the T universe, his hair does get much longer after he leaves kanavan, especially in his SI, which I'd assume is way past the time he leaves and has been spending most time wandering outside

this is random, but I was thinking on the batkids who has the healthier to least healthy lifestyle, as healthy as a bat raised vigilante lifestyle can be, and came up w this ranking (not to be taken that serious)
Duke
Damian
Jason
Stephanie
Dick
Cassandra
Tim
duke: had the longest "normal" childhood, spent the least time training under bruce, understands and values the concept of a good meal and healthy sleep time, tries to stick with it when possible
damian: I'd like to think thalia did ingrained some form of health discipline on him, under the argument of being a more efficient assassin, values a healthy meal and diet, and enough rest
jason: has experienced hunger and sleepless nights, so he values getting enough food and rest when possible, probably doesn't like sleeping much after coming back from the dead bc of nightmares, but still prefers sleeping when given the chance
stephanie: wants to have a healthy lifestyle, strives to have a healthy lifestyle, but years of following her dad to ruin his plans, as well as the next months and years of trying to prove herself, kinda ruins it. however, she tries hard to get a healthy meal and enough rest, gets better and probably on the same rank as damian and duke
dick: former acrobat, therefore is very acutely aware of what his body needs, however, many years of vigilante training and living under Bruce's training kinda screwed that up a bit, getting some of his traits, especially after going to live by himself, lost a bit of discipline but doesn't mind trying it out every once in a while he's reminded of it
cassandra: was never taught the concept of it, Barbara tried to teach it to her, and fortunately she did try to listen to most of it. it's hard, tho, to unlearn what she was taught, but she tries. still, sometimes functions on automatic and forgets the basic concepts of sleep and eating. has gotten better with her interactions with steph and babs
tim: kid never had a healthy meal and rest, between been left alone by his parents, following batman and robin as a kid, and then training to become robin, then trying to prove himself as robin. is the most similar to Bruce when it comes to their lifestyle, barely sleeps and eats, and often forgets to even do so, or consciously chooses not to in favor of his work

you know that dialog of Harpe getting mad at Ronan for leaving, and being like 'I'll see how far you can run away', I like to think Harpe would actually go after Ronan to bring him back
like Harpe's profile story and his dialogs make me understand he's willing to stay and be an aegis knight to weed out the 'darkness' in the Erudon family, as in the Council and those who spoke ill of Ronan
so I have this hc that after Harpe clears out the 'darkness' from the Erudon family, he decides to go after Ronan. and like during this entire time Harpe has been keeping an ear out for any news about Ronan, because the other never sent any letters. so Harpe finds out where Ronan is, and tries to bring him back but Ronan refuses, because it's not only about his family, it's about all the crimes he committed, the blood on his hands. and so Harpe decides to go against Ronan's wishes for the first time, and actually force him to come back. because Harpe thinks that's the best for Ronan, and it's the best way to protect him
I know it's kinda ooc because canon has proven Harpe is very understanding of Ronan, and will support him no matter what, but that's in main timeline. if it's alternate timeline, I think it can be a bit different, like Harpe will still support Ronan before anyone else, but maybe it's more only if it's somewhere Harpe can keep an eye on him, just to make sure nothing happens to Ronan. like maybe he'd be more overprotective, especially if Harpe were to find out the side effects Ronan would be going through because of tyrfing.
idk I just like angst and if they're bound to never be together, I think fate would actually fuck them up more if they were to end up together
