Seungkwan’s life wasn’t bad. He knew that. He also knew that it wasn’t everyone that had this kind of life. The Pomeranian had listened to his owner’s friends talking about how they would sometimes see some stray being harassed on the streets downtown and things like that. But Seungkwan never actually saw anything similar before.

His owner was a good man, a good human. Being as old as he was, his owner was kind and didn’t really care about the human features of the hybrid. Seungkwan was there to be his company, literally a lovely pet. Not that he minded.

His owner didn’t touched him where he didn’t wanted to be touched nor did anything bad for him. His life was pretty much perfect. He was happy and didn’t had a care in the world. Even when he fought with his owner it was cute and funny afterwards.

There was only one thing that he actually hated in his life: his owner’s relatives. They were clearly different from the old man. They didn’t liked Seungkwan either, they though that he would be a problem if he was included in the will.

Of course they only wanted the money of the small human and that’s what always made Seungkwan mad. But Seungkwan didn’t show his anger since his owner still loved his family.

Youngjae was euphoric. He finally had a lead on the case he was having a lot of trouble for a while. It seems that they had finally slipped. Well… That was what you could understand from his speed talking/screaming from the computer room. It seems that this was a huge case involving some important family that has business with the government so we really had to be careful.

The Genius came running at your direction, in the middle of the day, interrupting your time with all your hybrids and their friends screaming that you needed to take action now or the lead would be lost.

Of course you got up in a jump and the hybrids who were used to it were just as fast to say their goodbyes. You and the other human ran to get the rest of the team while Youngjae was briefing you about that mission.

You couldn’t say that you weren’t excited, it has being almost a month after your last mission and even the building was getting empty with all the hybrids being released and moved to the city or the protected communities. Even Jun was uncomfortable with the lack of action and he and Woozi were the most clingy ones.

After you and Youngjae arrived at your staff room, everyone that had received your text entered and you and the strike team started the group briefing. Youngjae told everyone about the case, he also told them that this was a undercover mission, one easier for us than the Woozi one but much more delicate, since we couldn’t use fire guns. You all got ready for leave while your hybrids helped the way they could, being good boys.

Seungkwan knew that his life would change when his owner dies but he definitely didn’t expect to become the modern hybrid kinda Cinderella. After the death of his loved owner, his family didn’t wanted to just throw him away, they decided he was nice enough to earn some prestige and money to the family name. So… they decided to train him to enter hybrids contests.

It doesn’t sounds bad at first but to he get the first place on the competitions, they started to make him starve to get thinner, make him run almost 30 kilometers to get stamina and make him keep himself pretty all the times.

They would punish him if he was not at his best even at the end of the run. Not that anyone knew this side of them. The bruises were never visible, the traumas were hidden behind the awards.

That were his life for about 2 or 3 years. He was so tired that he didn’t even try to fight back anymore. His weigh had dropped to half of the time his owner was alive and everyone could notice that he would talk less. Everyone including the son of his new and hated owner. The boy was 10 years old and was pulling Seungkwan’s ears and tail besides screaming like a brat and offending the poor hybrid.

“I don’t even know why grampa liked you so much but thinking now… he was an almost dement old man anyway.” That. That was what made Seungkwan snap. everyone there knew how close the boy and the old man were.

They didn’t liked it but they all left it alone after the man passed away. With that comment, Seungkwan saw red and didn’t actually think before jumping in the boy, ready to really hurt him.

Mark parked the van outside the luxurious building. You all looked amazed by all the details and the floors that thing had. Youngjae wasn’t kidding when he said they were as rich as you can be in this country. Even you and Mark being part of the high society, you couldn’t think about someone specific that could be living there.

“Wow! Imagine what we could do if the center was like this…”

“Right?!” JB responded to me “I was thinking the same, maybe you and Mark could buy it for us?”

“Even if I could, the gov wouldn’t let us, this is the most expensive hotel they have in the capital, it brings a lot of billionaires to spend money here.” Mark said from his spot with the small telescope on hands. “They seem to be moving, hurry, everyone get in position.”

They had tied Seungkwan. The parents of the boy arrived right before Seungkwan was able to hurt him. The family men pulled the hybrid off the boy and tied him up. The mother was crying and screaming with the father while holding the boy in shock.

She said something about the Hybrid Control but Seungkwan couldn’t hear her since his blood was still boiling with rage. Rage that was forgotten when the also furious man came and hitted him so strong Seungkwan lost conscious.

“He’s on that room” He heard the masculine voice say when he woke up. “Hurry up and take him out of here. We don’t want this animal with us anymore, he is violent, he can’t be with normal humans.” He could hear the hate and the venon on the voice. He didn’t hear the answer but he noticed the door opening in front of him.

“Aish… This one is a naught one.” He knew that voice. He 100% knew that voice! He was about to cry for help when he felt a feminine hand on his mouth. “Yes, I’m also happy to see you.” She was now whispering “Hold it until we get out of here, okay?” He nodded. “Good boy.” With that, a huge guy lifted him up and started to walk away from the apartment.

“He can escape if you carry him like this!” The woman from the family screamed, which caused the girl to smile.

“Don’t worry, madam, we know what we’re doing.” She did a exaggerated reverence in their direction and also left the room. Seungkwan kept quiet until the trio was all accommodated in the back of a van.

“How did you find me?” They all smiled to him.

“Eh? Not even a thanks to save you?” The girl and the boys smiled to him, more sweetly this time. “They are up there, thinking that we are going to throw you out the streets or kill you, so you’re free and this is how you thank us?”

“Don’t test me right now, Y/n Y/s.” Seungkwan had forget how annoying she was.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe now, Boo Seungkwan.”
