Things I learned this week: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. My groundwork needs a lot of practice. Fortunately I’m in the right place for that. And eventually it won’t look like I’m killing cats. 2. I have allowed my horses to do “just enough” and haven’t requested that they be “punctual.” 3. I’ve been staying “in” too long. I’m not entirely sure what this means yet, but like a horse that’s learning, I’m mulling it over. My guess would be that by “getting in and out” it helps make the horse softer. But don’t ask me for the “why” yet. This thought actually kept me up on Friday night. 4. I’m mostly unhandy. But I guess one gets handier with practice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For many of you this post won’t mean much. It’ll be a foreign language. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But for some of you it’ll mean a lot and you’ll be able to relate. . The bottom line is this: as we learn we grow. If we want to.
