"Whoop! Sorry there, didn't see you - what a night, right?"

Hank's pretty much barged right past her with the kind of shoulder charge only a high school quarterback or a superhero can have - and as it happens, he was both. Dressed in what looks to have been date attire, a rather swanky suit and pants (though no shoes, of course).

"Y'know, feels like I was sort of daring this to happen - you try and take a gal out to see Little Shop of Horrors, and, well."

He gestures at the massive plant creature that's savaging the city with a distinct air of 'figures.' This clearly isn't a new experience for him. He takes a moment to think things over, spotting an overturned truck on the other side of the street - past a veritable jungle of carnivorous, snapping plant mouths and violent, whipping tendrils - before snapping his fingers and shucking off his suit jacket, handing it to Skye.

"Hold on to that, would ya? A good friend of mine had that tailored for me, and I'd hate for Audrey II over here to get her nippers on it. Wish me luck!"

And with that, he dives in, bouncing, bounding, and practically ping ponging all over the place as he evades the plants, unable to stop talking the whole way through. Or, well.

Singing.

"Oh, da-doo~ I was walkin' in the wholesale flower district one day!"

"Shoop da-doo~! And I passed by this place where this - oh, yanno, we're just gonna skip that line."

"He sometimes sells me weird and exotic cuttings~ Snip da-doo!"

"Uh, because he knows, you see, that, that strange plants are my hobby~!"

"Da da da da da da-doo~! He didn't have anything unusual there that day!"

"Nope, da-doo~ So I was, ya know, just, just gonna walk on by!"

"Good for youuuuuu~!" He takes a moment in the midst of it all to snap his fingers, singing in the tone of almost a barbershop quartet (of one), before leaping away again.

"When suddenly and without warning, there was this, TO-TAL ECLIPSE OF THE - OOF!"

Hank let out a grunt when a tendril smacked him directly into a building, recovering enough to bounce right back into action. "Not a Little Shop fan, huh? Well, that's all right. I'm more a fan of one of the other songs, anyway."

"They say the meek shall inherit, you know the book doesn't lie, it's not a question of merit - da da da da daaaah, no way, forget it It's much too dangerous to keep that plant aliiiiiiive!"

With one last dive, Hank tumbled into the back of the truck he'd spotted, just missing the WHUMP of an oversized and very thorny, lethal looking limb that was just a hair away from turning him into a beastly pancake. He searched for a moment, the picture of controlled frantic, before finding a tank and grinning, cranking the top hard.

"No, no, you've got no alternative, Seymour, old boy, though it means you'll be broke again and unemployed, it's the only solution, it can't be avoided!"

"The vegetable must be destroyed!"

With an almighty pitch, the tank went sailing through the air and landed directly in the creature's mouth, taking just one pregnant moment to explode - in a shower of medical liquid nitrogen, causing it to shriek and spasm, right before Hank got to lobbing more and more tanks of nitrogen, freezing it into shocked hibernation, the almighty creature stuck in a beautiful icy tableau.

"Yanno, it's a shame we missed the winter season. Just a few weeks ago, they'da paid to keep you and move you to the Rockefeller Center. Heh!"

Whistling merrily as he made his way past the creature, Hank gave Skye a wink as he took his jacket back.

"You know what they say. Don't feed the plants!"

Right now I’m using shein but I’ve noticed that there has been some concerns over the ethics in regards to people who create their clothing. I try to be cautious of where I shop and I just want to find other brands and places that are affordable but suitable to my taste ( my style is a mix of casual and modesty ).

Yeah Shein is infamous for being tacky and low quality...you really should opt for buying less but more qualitative clothes.

As a fashion graduate, I want everyone to know how undervalued clothes are. A tee isn't supposed to cost 15$. The only reason it does is because slaves stitched them. The textile, the transportation, the shop maintenance fee, etc....how can all of that can amount to so low. I know that fast fashion giants have interesting wholesale price, but still, the labor is weird they have the leverage to cut the costs

In my Christian fashion brand market study, I purposely put a wide range of price (10€>100/150€) to see where my audience is and...the results are quite....eye-opening xD I wouldn't say I'm surprised because as a millennial I grew up with fast fashion and cheap clothing, but it definitely shows that my brand demographics won't be of the majority. I am totally aware that not everyone is willing to pay more than a hundred €€ for a dress, and almost as much for a top or bottoms...

Less is more ; buying a good, pretty & exquisitely appropriate 200€ dress once a year will always cost you less than buying a few ones a year at +50€ at H&M or Zara. My business model doesn't rely on solely selling clothes anyway. I wish the my proposal will prompt people into introspection and whether they would by less, but better and more "appropriate" fashion.

Perhaps neighboring locations share a few things here and there, and perhaps convergent evolution makes similar in theory practices, but there could be no “majority” singular belief and list of conventions... Thus, paradoxically, there is an accepted sort of “default”... marketable alternative, the kind of broad holiday that simply saying “holiday” or “festivities” encompasses, an easy out if you’re unsure what a stranger celebrates indicating vague traditions easily adaptable or understood by various people of various backgrounds. Most regions will recognize a four quarter year, or at the very least understand that the year can be split up into these four discreet seasons, and these marketable default holidays then celebrate the easily perceived shifts in time, with aspects of minor offshoot celebrations around there being part of it. Winter and Summer represent fighting the conditions and finding joy in doing what you must to survive to keep spirits and morale high in patently miserable times, but Spring and Fall are the more abstract celebrations of new life... Whether the stories be truly paranormal, not technically paranormal but still important tales, or simply wholesale and weak fabrications to get the heart pumping, the confusion is what makes the holiday so captivating anyways- what and who can you believe, and who will you blame if you do not take those stories seriously and find, due to your own flippant negligence, teeth bared upon your throat?

Despite the tone, it’s a very jovial holiday. Candy and sweets are good bait to lure children into entertaining terrifying and gory fables, and hopefully dressing as the figures most horrifying would be helpful in desensitizing people enough to manage a situation, if it were to unfold, without succumbing to shock.

On the 19th, everyone is invited to have their characters participate in a group event, hopefully being a good excuse to dust off your OCs and have them interact with others they may not otherwise and with opportunities such as playing games, costume making, practically trick or treating, and scary story telling to illustrate your characters unique personalities and quirks, granting additional mutation points compared to casual roleplay threads. Staff OCs are given bowls of candy and can give them out to whoever they see fit- student OCs are encouraged to dress up, beg for candy, attack others to steal their candy, or tell scary stories to gain candy. Whoever wins and loses will gain a prize! (Spoiler alert; it’s something relating to mutations.)
