i want to say that your megaman art--especially seeing your stardroids art back in like 2016-2017 or so had such a massive effect on my own art and how i draw megaman stuff because i thought it was such a cool take on stuff and i wanted to replicate it as close as i could hell like, the way i draw pluto was outright inspired by the way you draw them and emphasize their cat features more, ofc my take on pluto differs more mainly because i headcanon pluto as being a trans woman (mainly because i'm transfem myself and i'm projecting on characters that i've liked since i was a kid)--but i feel my point still stands but yeah like this is rambly, but thank you so much for drawing mega man art bc it inspired me to experiment it--my art style wouldn't be the way it is if i didn't see your works as a teen

Aaaa, this is so sweet,,, am honestly at a bit of a loss for words really ehjh I'm very flattered!! and in a sense, honored to know that i've been an inspiration in any way,, 2016 and 2017 feel like such a long time ago so to know that something i created all the way back then was an inspiration is quite something,, always did love the idea of leaning bit more into the non-human -like aspects of the stardroids. (also hell yeah transwoman pluto. i've for a long time hc'd my sun and terra as transmale and transmasc respectively. though it wasn't until later on that i myself realized that i may be somewhere on that transmasc nb line too lol) thank you for this message!! and keep doing what you do- the stardroids always deserve more fan works

DOLR 'Jackdaw' units are the primary choice for replikas in the Luftstreitkräfte's station defense units. They are skilled pilots, that specialize in interceptor craft. Capable of defeating all drone aircraft and most gestalt they have been tested against at BVR and in a dogfight, Jackdaws are among the most skilled replika pilots in short-term engagements. Jackdaws also have a very strong sense of camaraderie with those assigned as their wingmen, primarily in a loyalty sense. This allows them to integrate flawlessly into both full-replika and mixed replika and gestalt squadrons. Additionally, the frame of Jackdaw units is designed to be modular. Limbs and the lower half of the torso can be removed as-needed for cases in which replika direct-interface cockpits are available.

Replika Known Issues: DOLR

Jackdaws adhere to a very idealized concept of being a pilot. As such, they will try to form close bonds with wingmen, and they often insist on unique call signs over standard identification forms. Stability in Jackdaws is known to fluctuate significantly in relatively short periods. Therefore, calibration by an AEON technician is recommended after every five (5) cycles while on combat deployment. An observed behavior associated with mild to severe Persona degradation is a sudden and violent attempt by a Jackdaw to remove her own integrated helmet. If no intervention is made, the Jackdaw in question is likely to destroy herself. Let it be noted that in these or similar circumstances, taking advantage of a Jackdaw's quick-removal limbs to disable her is recommended. To prevent sudden destabilization however, allow Jackdaws some socialization when off-duty and use small models of vehicles as fetish objects.

last song: Sweet Bod by Lemon Demon! i was listening to the playlist i made for one of my dnd characters (shoutout to mel, the sorcerer ever) and sweet bod was actually the main inspiration for her as a character (she was mummified in honey for abt 100 years and then she came back to life)! but yeah i rlly like making and then listening to character playlists for my oc's (mostly ttrpg characters, but b'rsh bran the kitty ever gets to have 3 playlists)

currently reading: i am veeeeery slowly reading house of leaves, i rlly like it so far, its just that for me sitting down to read a book is kind of a commitment so i dont rlly read as often as i'd like to

currently watching: me and one of my housemates have been rewatching arcane, and before that she got me to watch the dragon prince! dragon prince was rlly fun and sweet, and i love cool fantasy stories :3

current obsession: i'm currently in 2 dnd campaigns with some friends (and i'm preparing to run my own!) and whenever i make oc's for anything i end up thinkin rlly hard abt them (shoutout to b'rsh bran the kitty ever, mel the flynn rider/jesus mashup the world wasn't ready for, and isadora who is just. so sad all the time.)

im also a HUGE fan of the magnus archives, i've been relistening to it at work recently and i managed to get several of my friends to start listening to it >:) i love it so much its such a cool setting and the characters are so neat and cool and i think abt it pretty much constantly

i had to do a double take (in a good way) when i saw your commissions sheet, and i saw the pic of a bug from starship troopers i believe and an ur-quan kzer-za in starfleet uniform--mainly because i would've never expected to see star control fanart in 2023, for reference star control was a HUGE special interest for me when i was younger to the point that my handle that i used for nearly a decade before i started to switch to winternimbus, originated from an unintentional misspelling of one of the alien species from star control 2

thank you. i never played star control or anything; that was a commission I did for Dragon Cobolt. The idea was, hey, Star Trek SNW is doing fucked up shit with the Gorn, whose original TOS episode was about how they might look really alien but they're ultimately people just like us. So let's take some other "monsters" who are really sapient social beings capable of reason and compassion and put them on the bridge of the enterprise in starfleet uniforms as protest.

It's one of my favorite pieces just due to all the rendering and geometric complexity involved. I also edited in some star control screens onto the Ur'quan's workstation. though i just got them from google; they might be from like. different games in the series. bc i've never played the games (or watched starship troopers for that matter).
