The first time around I was busy look at the leads to notice anything else but this time I am looking 👀
zhou zishu sure is flexible
I never noticed the scars behind Zishu’s back before. He has had it rough
on side note, I never cared for prince jin to begin with but my goodness the actor playing prince jin is pretty great.
Now we bring you a quick makeup tutorial by the leader of Tian Chuang, Zhou Zishu
and bam
gasps* a wild ghost valley chief appears
I wonder who could it be 🤣
omigod its gu xiang
poor chengling! look at him still so innocent, pure, oblivious to what is gonna happen to him within few hours 😭😭😭😭
and then zhou zishu’s eyes lands on
wen kexing
look at him internally going wow he is pretty
and wen kexing using his masculine wiles (cause that’s a thing)

Ship: Wen Kexing/Zhou Zishu
Word count: 10,808
Rating: Teen and up
Summary: Zhou Zishu knew from the very beginning that returning to Tian Chuang was a death sentence. He deserves it. He accepts that. But he also knows that Wen Kexing will come to rescue him. He only needs to hold out long enough.
(Never could he have imagined the things he can still regain.)
// I originally wanted to post this in time for the Word of Honor Rewatch Event, but I didn't get it done in time. I hope this still suffices tho. It's my take on the whole torture/rescue thing in episode 31, because I think the show could've made it. more. Ya know.

okay so the opening song is playing during this scene (symbolizing yet another beginning)
and the placing of these lyrics are Very deliberate while the focus is on zzs
right when he’s Looking for wkx that is sneakily hiding from him
in a field of flowers and leaves, their colors are indeed perfect
poetic cinema. everything in this show is INTENTIONAL

”If you hand over Young Master Zhang, I’ll let you go”.
Episode 4 of my Word of Honor rewatch/redraw challenge! I wanted to practise painting architecture a bit, but I completely underestimated how long this scene would take ^^;
