You helped me when my son was at the hospital on Monday and keep me positive and bounce off treatment plans/issues when I was near crumbling. Seeing your child injured and having to advocate for his care when he is 6ft tall and nonverbal through a hospital and healthcare system is challenging already. My son and I have both endured histories of trauma under these very circumstances but to now have to do so when he is too large for me to control under these types of conditions (you can’t blame him for being scared and not wanting to participate in) . My sweet @realleagueofjustice Jon-Carlo was there for me to help me focus on the positive, not to give up, and helped pick me up when I had my moments of weakness. Thank you for keeping my positive, for reminding me of my strength and for being my emotional pillar like you are always. You have taught me time and again that you don’t have to be physically present at all times to be there in time of need. In the end our advocacy worked and my son’s response to his own trauma was flawless. I cried in tears of pride as to the champ that Jacob was that day.
