Remix Authors Reveal

The authors in the Remix Main Collection will be revealed in a few hours, at 12:00am EST Wed. July 15! For those who have not done so, please feel free to post date it your work (i.e. change the date from when it was originally posted to the current date) so that readers will see it on Ao3. 

If you have not yet read the fics for Remix, definitely check them out and give our authors some much deserved love!

Also, Remix Madness has been extended - author reveals will happen at 12:00pm EST, Sunday July 19 and you can post fics right up until the end of that day! So feel free to keep claiming and filling prompts for the rest of this week :D :D :D

2020 FanFiction Roundup

I almost didn’t want to make this post because I was under the impression that I hadn’t been productive in 2020 in the realm of fanfiction. But despite... everything, I, surprisingly, pumped out quite a few works last year. So 2020 doesn’t look too bad for me in light of fanfiction

Crime AU: A Modern AU where Erik’s a Mob Boss and Charles is the FBI agent who’s assigned to put Erik behind bars

4. For the X-Men Secret Mutant Madness 2020, I wrote the below fic for @ikeracity‘s prompt:

Gin and Tonic (cherik): A Modern college/University AU, which also happens to be the sequel of my fic: Rum and Coke

5. The only fic (or a bunch of ficlets) I wrote out of my own violation in 2020 was:

You and Me Make Us (cherik): A compilation of headcanons I have for Charles' and Erik's relationship OR slices of their life in my eyes

I co-moderated the @cherikbigbangandbingo last year with the amazing @flightinflame and @destinyrainevans

I moderated the X-Men Kink Meme 2020 (which was a first)

I also moderated the X-Men Secret Mutant Madness 2020 

Not that they were all executed smoothly. There were plenty glitches with my execution of all these events. But, hey, I take my victories as they come

I really hope I’d created some content for the capri fandom last year, but that’s something I can always work on this year.

X-Men Remix Madness 2020 - Signups Now Open!

What is Remix Madness? Madness is a variation of the Main Remix Challenge; instead of remixing an assignment from the Mods you simply remix whatever fic/art you want from the people who’ve signed up to participate!

I want to let people remix my fics for Madness! Simple! Just go to X-Men Remix Madness 2020, first read the rules, and sign up when Madness opens!

I want to remix other people’s fics - do I have to sign up for Madness too? You only have to sign up for Madness if you want people to remix your fics. You do NOT have to sign up for Madness at all if you only want to remix other people’s work.

I didn’t sign up for the Main Challenge can I still do Madness? Yes! And people who participated in the Main Remix can do Madness as well!

Any word count minimum? What about art restrictions? No minimum word count and artwork can be sketches!

What are the dates for Madness? Sign-ups are open NOW, and the collection will go live on July 8, the SAME day as the main collection. You may continue to post remixes to the Madness collection until the end of the day on July 15 when authors are revealed for both challenges!

X-Men Remix 2020 is now live and open for viewing! Please enjoy the 16 amazing new fics by our wonderful writers! :D

Please note that X-Men Remix Madness 2020 is now open too! You can post new fics to Remix Madness at any time up to the end of the day on the 15th when this year’s Remix officially ends.

Note re: post-dating your fic/art:

As a general reminder, it is perfectly acceptable and even encouraged for you to post-date your fic/art in both the madness collection and the main collection. Post-dating means that you edit your work to give it today’s date instead of the earlier date it was posted. This allows more people to see your work during the anon period, versus few people outside of the exchange seeing it if it’s buried further back in the tag. All we ask is that you limit post-dating to once during the anon period and once afterward after reveals, so that you are not constantly leapfrogging over the other participants…so if you have not already post-dated, that is an option that is available to you. :)
