I saw this ask right before going to bed and I immediately wanted to draw it, but then in the morning I realised my hands refused to cooperate so this was the result

Naive. Naive was a term she had grown more accustomed with and at the same time simutaneously hated on the same token. She was naive over the enitre situation that the entire country was in. Even more so, she wondered who were the people she traveled with? She knew she was clueless to the state of her father’s --- no, her people... but as she sat beside the companions in the campsite watching Yun prepare their lunch for that afternoon she came to a painful and haunting realizaiton... she knew nothing about those she traveled with.

Yet, they were her cherished friends...her new family. How could she support them and protect them along with the people of this kingdom if she could not even understand the soft sadness behind all of their eyes? When she thought about it... she realized she hardly even knew anything about Hak’s past outside of the palace.

Concept of Apollo's backstory

A fair warning. Cross, dream, nightmare, or shattered dream don't belong to me. They belong to @/jakei95, @/jokublog, and @/shattereddreamsau. The ship Dark Xsunshine was started by @zu-is-here. The only thing I own is Apollo.

Tw: abuse and semi gore?

Apollo... Was a mistake. He was always a mistake. His supposed to be happy go lucky father figure Dream turned out to be a messed up manipulative man towards him and his mother Cross. Dream made Apollo think wrong of the outside world with the use of manipulation and when he dared tried to go outside without Dream knowing.. Two tentacles stabbed his eyes. His eyes sockets bleeding and filling with blood as he could no longer see. After that incident Apollo didn't dare leave. He soon adjusted to not seeing, using his other senses and tentacles to walk and other stuff. Dream was quiet impressed but.. Not enough. Dream put Apollo threw intense training and pushed them beyond their limits. Dream hurted inside but he knew it was for the best. Cross tried so hard to intervene yet he was always stopped by the hallucinations Dream created to give Cross the appearance of a happy family.

Later on Apollo saw more children and tried his best to give them a happy childhood. He was becoming desperate for them to be happy. Even if it was for a moment that Dream or Cross wasn't around to stop him. Apollo cried himself to sleep and tried to stay happy for his siblings.. Didn't stop him from snapping tho. The day Apollo snapped was on his "birthday". Or what Dream liked to call Mistake Day. Apollo tried to keep a fake smile but once Dream had hit one of his siblings.. Apollo attacked Dream, throwing them into a wall before escaping. Apollo for the first time felt the cool air and the sunshine again. He ran through a forest and ended up in a random AU. He felt around the ground and felt flowers and grass. Then he heard birds and cows...? Was he at a farm?? Apollo thought he was trespassing then he heard a soft gentle voice of a woman.. She asked him if he was lost and of course he nodded. The woman helped Apollo up and introduced herself as Toriel, a goat monster who took care of most of the animals and flowers. Toriel and Apollo talked for a while on the way back to her home. [some examples. T for tori n A for apollo]

T: "so Apollo how did you end up here?"

A: "I was running for my life. I'm glad to of found someone like you. You seem to be kind"

T: "oh my.. From who?"

A: "My father."

And thats it for the concept of Apollo's backstory! I might make Apollo take one of the Dark Xsunshine kiddos so they could be happy with him but of course I need the other Dark Xsunshine ship children creators to approve of it! Feel free to ask some questions as well! I'll reblog this post for more story n details. I'll attach the Ref for Apollo as well when I'm done with it!
