I nkt sure if still take request for event prompts still but I was wondering if u can do dan heng x Reader with Angst dialogue prompt "I thought I lost you." I was wondering if can be mix between angst but fluff ending ? If that makes sense but u don’t have to do this if don’t want to

"Dan Heng, wait!"

Blood roared in his ears. His vision filled with red. All he heard was his own heart - pounding away like a gong. He barely comprehended the arms of the Trailblazer and March pulling him back.

"Let go of me." He didn't recognize his own voice: dark and eerily calm, filled with barely subdued rage and fear.

His hands twitched, wanting to grab and squeeze at something - someone. Embers swirled in his palm as Cloud Piercer began to form. What for, even he didn't know.

"I know you're worried, but you can't go in!" He felt his back hit someone's chest as his wrists were held apart.

"Let me go!" He writhed against the Trailblazer's grip, but to no avail. "I can't- I need to-"

He slumped, exhaustion finally catching up to him. Choking down sobs, he gulped down heavy breaths, his shoulders shaking as he tried to keep his emotions in check.

"I know," his friend said slowly, worry evident in their eyes as they looked to Natasha's clinic. "I know. But you have to trust Natasha."

March nodded solemnly, tentatively putting a hand on Dan Heng's shoulder.

"They're going to be okay," she tried to assure him, but he could hear her voice trembling. "Natasha- She'll fix them right up! Right, Trailblazer?"

They nodded. "All we can do is wait."

Dan Heng's breath shuddered as he inhaled. "I'm aware. But the wound- I should've been there. I should've protected them."

The Trailblazer's eyes softened. "You couldn't have known what was going to happen."

"Yeah," March agreed. "Don't go blaming yourself."

Dan Heng looked up, his eyes glossy. "But-"

The sound of a door opening cut off any conversation. Natasha removed her surgical mask, having already taken off her gloves. Dan Heng tried not to look at the blood splatters on her coat as he broke out of the Trailblazer's grasp.

"How are they." The question came out like a demand as he rushed to the doctor, paranoia swirling in his eyes. He searched every detail of Natasha's face, looking for even a hint of your fate.

Natasha hesitated for a moment, but that was enough for the anxiety to spike in his heart. Noticing this, the doctor moved to block his path as he tried to rush past her.

"Dan Heng, you need to calm down," she said sternly, yet gently. She let out a sigh, before a tired smile appeared on her face. "The procedure went well. It'll be a while until they can fully recover, but they'll survive."

"Can I see them?"

Natasha put a hand on his trembling shoulder. "Yes, but you need to be gentle. Their wounds are still fresh, and any excess movement could tear it open again."

Her words barely made it through before Dan Heng nodded, desperate to see you already. Seeing this, Natasha sighed knowingly, before leading him to your bed.

Despite knowing your status, Dan Heng couldn't help but prepare for the worst as he neared you. But to his surprise, rather than seeing your unconscious body, you were sitting up, looking out the window with bandages wrapped around your abdomen.

You looked to him as you heard his footsteps. Immediately, you tensed, anticipating a lecture from your lover, but instead, you were caught off guard by his weight suddenly being thrown onto you - enough to push you back, but gentle enough so that your wound wouldn't rip open.

Dan Heng sucked in a shuddering breath as he buried his face into your shoulder, his hands clutching onto you as if you'd disappeared if he let go. Carefully, you hugged him back.

"Hey," you tried to soothe him. "It's okay. I'm okay."

He shook his head, tightening his grip around you. Something wet trickled down your shoulder. Startled, you realized that he was crying.

"I..." he barely managed out. "I thought I lost you."

You pulled him away to cup his face in your hands. "But you didn't. Look at me, Dan Heng. I'm still here."

Dan Heng closed his eyes, one of his hands leaving your shoulder to gingerly hold your wrist. His thumb rested against your pulse point, feeling your life beat against it - a steady rhythm that chased away the panic and worry. Slowly, yet surely, his shoulders relaxed, and his breath steadied.

"See?" you smiled. "Seriously, I'm the one injured here, and yet you're the one crying."

Your lover didn't bother for a rebuttal. He only opened his eyes as you wiped the tears from his eyes with your thumb, his worried gaze having reverted back to that familiar stern glare.

"Love," he murmured, leaning against your palm. You hummed in response. "Don't ever do something that reckless again."

You giggled, pecking him on the nose. "Don't worry, I learned my lesson."

I’m so down bad for this man so I really couldn’t resist making another one. He’s handsome and charming and manly and ughhhhh kill me!

P.S slight FC use of Olivia Dejonge. Not only is she gorgeous but she’s so smol and I find it so beautiful, especially with how large he is. Needed that picture for a specific use to help identify the size difference between the two but feel free to keep imagining whoever. He’s dated Vanessa Kirby and Dua Lipa so the hair color constantly changes in pics 😭

Lil' timeline of major events:

-1980: Rafael is born in Monaco, January 29th. -1984: Rafael receives his first custom-made violin and begins lessons. -1987: Magritte is born in Timmins, Ontario, August 12th -1988: Rafael's uncle, Guillaume, quits his role at Ephrem Records and leaves Monaco. -1992-1997: The peak years following Rafael's rise to becoming an internationally recognized child performer, bringing the Ephrem Records label into popular culture. Raf begins attendance at Juilliard during the autumn of 1997. -1999: Magritte buys her first musical instrument (Yamaha PSS-270). -2001: Rafael graduates Juilliard with a bachelor's of music. -2002: Rafael reaches out to his uncle in Vancouver and moves in with him the same year. a/n; wrote this as scenarios... hope you enjoy it! only did the trio and welt bc 4 characters is my limit per scenario post. march's part is shorter than the rest im sorry

caelus is not well versed in situations like these.

he knew of your reckless nature. how you just loved thrills, how you want to destroy every enemy in your way, how you enabled his weird tendencies and fighting instincts just to watch a good show.

but this was too much.

in the heat of battle as you charge in, you take a big hit (even if with the help of caelus's shield) and the enemy smashes their weapon against your leg. you collapse to the ground, the pain rushing through all your nerves as you yell out.

caelus does his best to keep the enemy busy with his taunts and trying to build his shields. when he finally manages to finish the enemy off, he's running to you and picking you up as carefully but urgently as he can. he's talking to you to distract you from the pain and hoping that the adrenaline you're feeling with do until he gets to you to proper help.

when he finally gets you to medical help, he's conflicted. his usual expressive witty self is quiet with frustration. within the small time of you joining the express a little after he did, he's gotten attached to you, seeing you as a younger sibling. he can't help but think it's his fault for not being on guard to keep you safe. he can't find it in his heart to scold you despite how he's aware that if you just thought before you did anything, you would've at least been less injured.

it takes a day for you to get properly patched up and resting. and it's awkward when caelus walks in, no longer wearing his usually amused smile, but wearing a stone faced look. you avoid looking at him, it's not subtle at all with how you don't want to talk about the accident at all.

but he speaks about it anyways, "i really hate being angry, you know?"

"i know."

"i think it's safe to say that we're both in the wrong for this?" he suggests, sitting on the edge of your bed. "i could've stopped you and you could've waited for me." you're both silent as you recall the pain of it all.

"yeah. i'm sorry." he moves to sit by your side, patting your head.

"i'm sorry too, just get some rest alright?" he mutters, tugging the blanket to cover you better. "i'm just glad you're okay."

he hated when you got reckless, he was not as nice about it as the new trailblazer. well, he wasn't openly rude about it but he gets the most abrasive when you decide to be reckless. he would never say it openly but he cares for you. he cares for you a lot. you're younger than the other express members so of course it was natural that he felt the need to care for you. totally not because he's basically the established parent friend out of the four of the youngsters of the express, you included.

so the moment you get such an injury, he's killing the rest the enemies and taking you to welt and himeko. he's muttering about how frustrated he is with this turn of events. he's annoyed because he doesn't have the path that march and caelus have, so he can't protect you as easily.

you can't understand a word of what he's saying since your mind is fuddled with pain and slowly running down from its adrenaline. you pass out before you hear his pleas to stay awake.

when you're finally okay and stable, it's dead silent in your room. you and dan heng sit nearby each other, you on your bed and him in a desk chair. you're concerned by his silence but you don't want to say anything, knowing that he would start scolding you. unlike caelus, he's not afraid to be honest and sound rude while he's at it. he doesn't like sounding like the bad guy, but someone has to put the foot down when welt and himeko weren't around.

as you lay there on your bed, you feel small, like you were just a weak kid who couldn't do anything. you struggle to look at dan heng, the room is thick with tension and worry. you hate how stupid you feel. it's hard to describe it, when you want to cry but it's not out of sadness or anger. you feel bad. and it makes you want to cry. and you do. you don't say anything, he doesn't say anything.

he looks at you while you're a silent mess. his hand presses on your forehead and moves down to rub away your tears gently. "please don't do that again. not when i can't do as much to keep you safe." he mutters, moving his chair to sit closer to the bed.

you spill out your apologies and worries as you hug him weakly. "i'm- i'm sorry dan heng!" he pats your head, providing his silent comfort.

"it's okay. i'll always forgive you." he sounds tired as he jokes deadpanned, "maybe this is a sign from the aeons to stop being stupid."

"hey!"

despite march's cheerful aura and bright words, she was skilled in battle. and very good support. even when she was smiling in support during a battle, she was ever so alert for everyone's safety.

unfortunately she let her guard down for just a small moment and you ended up running in with no shield support, causing you to take a bigger hit than normal.

after that she had immediately shielded you, the cold of her ice felt nice against the heat of the pain.

"y/n! please be more careful next time!" she says immediately after she takes care of the last enemy. she's probably the only one to actually scold you in the battle even if it was close to ending. "just because i can shield you doesn't mean you're safe all the time." she insists on carrying you via piggyback as she scolds you all the way through the trip back.

"you know you're gonna have the rest of the express worried sick when you do things like that!" if this was anyone else, you would much worse but march has such a sweet tone to her voice that you can't help but feel fine. on the way back, she cares for the injury the best she can with her ice. and it helps when you finally get the proper help.

you recovered quicker than usual with her assistance.

"now what do you have to say to me?"

"you make me want to not say it now."

"i just saved your life and this is the thanks i get?!"

"bleh."

"i'm never gonna give you a shield again."

welt..

welt dislikes taking you on expeditions. he's been clear about that from the start. but he's not gonna restrain you from experiences, good and bad. but he'd much rather you have good experiences. and not ones like these.

the ones where he has to pick you up from the ground and worry that you're gravely injured. just like the rest of the crew, he hates seeing you hurt. maybe it even hurts even more being a sort of father figure to you and feeling the obligation to care for you.

instead of the cold silence from dan heng or the worried silence from caelus, you feel the disappointed silence from welt. and that hurts more than your injury.

it's suffocating when you're being carried the way back and you know you're about to get a mouthful of scolding. it's not even gonna be an angry scolding, which is even worse.

when he takes you down the hall of passenger rooms of the express, you struggle to find the words that would at least lessen the looming feeling of disappointment. "i- um.. uh.." you stammer. he continues to walk and find your room, but you feel his hold tighten. you know he's listening.

"i don't.." when you both enter your room, he places you right on your bed and sits in a nearby chair. he looks at you, which almost makes you break in a cold sweat. "i'm really..." he doesn't rush you to speak, he doesn't cut you off or anything. he waits patiently by your side.

"i'm sorry." you look down at your lap, "i was really excited when you finally let me go on one of these trips with you. and i ruined it. sorry."

his lips pressed in a line before he speaks, "please be more careful next time. i can't guarantee you'll go on your own though, not until you learn to control yourself."

next time? "does this mean i can still go next time?"

"not anytime soon." he sighs, "did you not catch any other word?"

"that's not a no."

"i'm not saying a yes."

After dozens of adventures with the world renowned Traveler, many would think that you've seen it all. In some cases, yes, you've gotten to see all sorts of places in Teyvat that you didn't even know existed. All these travels allowed you to meet many new people, as well as old friends from lifetimes ago. Some reuinons were, nicer than others (tea with Zhongli will always beat running away from Ei in Inazuma)

The next destination for the Traveler was Sumeru, with the goal of meeting the the dendro archon. Perhaps it was the perfect compatibility of your abilites and that of the archon of Dendro herself, but you were always closer to her than the other archons. She was kinder than most gods, and definitely smarter. Several times along the journey to Sumeru the Traveler had to make sure you were alright, with the all your excitement constantly bubbling.

While your powers weren't as strong as they were in your past life, you knew something felt of the moment you stepped into Gandharva Village. And, as per the usual, the whole visit of Sumeru was filled with adventures, commissions, and saving a whole population due to the fatui's escapades. When it came to escaping the Sabzeruz Festival, it was only then that you realized where the goddess you were looking for was.

The whole fiasco of rescuing Nahida went better than it played out in your head. When it came to saving her, you specifically requested to stay back and fight all those who locked her up in the first place. And so, once the Traveler finds Nahida, they both are met with the sights of you scolding (and threating) several sages.

Seeing the familiar white haired archon, you immediately sprint over to her and scoop her into a hug, which was lifetimes overdue.

"Lesser Lord! Archons, I've missed you so much!"

"It's really good to see you too, I hope you've been well"

(i'm doing tarlos as one) the break up in the beginning of season 3, they were both at fault. it wasn't all on tk, or all on carlos, they both did not great things and they really needed to work on their communication with each other.

also i don't remember the episode but when carlos comes to tell tk that owen had been arrested, that was done poorly. yes tk was acting out of emotion, but you should never shove your partner like that, and carlos grabbing tk and basically restraining him, that's not a good thing to do either...

and the wife plotline of carlos's in season 4 and the way he was treating tk, and the way it got resolved, but i don't think that's unpopular, i think most people in the fandom agree with that one.

today I finally gave in to my most childish sweet tooth girlie desires and I ordered half a filled chocolate easter egg... aleks it weighs almost 450gr what the fuck ! its so well priced too... abt six dollars (inflation rates in this country are worrying to say the least and im glad Im able to buy myself a sweet treat as well as I am aware that its almost the same price as two cartons of milk... and most argentinian families are struggling to buy groceries like that). the price is particularly good *To Me* taking into consideration that store bought easter eggs are twice as expensive and barely weigh 120 gr. como se nota que cobré che... wdym im an adult with a salary I feel like a teletubbie w a debit card 🥺💳 anyways if everything goes well ill have Her in my hands on March 31st !!! looking forward to it (yes thats a chocolate spoon LMAO the baker I ordered it from really said 'Willy Wonka who?')

"This corrosion" the sisters of mercy - nothing revolutionary here, its a goth (sorry eldritch) classic with the big stupid jim steinman bombast that i love. If you want a good time search "andrew eldritch interview" on youtube, he's a huge bitch its so funny

"My lady of mercy" the last dinner party - a cute fizzy indie pop song that splits open into huge, triumphant stoner rock choruses. Its my understanding this band has weathered "industry plant" rumors despite being like, not. Anyway if industry plants made shit like this id be ok w the concept

"Kybalion" killah priest - my friend sold this wu tang associate to me by saying a) he's into the occult, b) not sure if he's actually any good, c) hes making animal noises on the new album. "Hermes trismegestis of lyrics that specialize in physics and pyramids" literally what else do i have to tell you

"Blood makes noise" suzanne vega - i love when a singer songwriter chick has one hard track on her album and this one sounds urgent and clanging and ominous im having a great time

"You aint no celebrity" jungle - everybodys losing their shit over "back on 74," and rightfully so, but this is the ass shaker on the album, its like an update on all those 2000s sean paul hits i liked before i heard at too many bar mitzvahs (it actually knicks the buzzing theremin from "get busy," which was always better than "temperature")

"Naked eye" luscious jackson - 90s crunchy touchy feely divine feminine radical vulnerability nonsense

"Come together" primal scream - these guys were kind of narrowly revolutionary in the 90s and i dont hear anybody under 40 talk abt them ever but i loooove the early 90s uk "what if classic rock was dance" shit that was happening with them and i guess kind of madchester?

"Obsession" animotion - this is the loud obnoxious goofy 80s pop hit all the other ones want to be. The boy-girl vocals are really fun BONUS the singers fell in love and are still married, go look up a recent performance of this song theyre so old and so horny for each other i love it

"The big sky" kate bush + "chains of love" erasure - two very different 80s pop classics, but i listen to them the same way, and frequently right after each other. I have a theory of art and fiction i call, for the moment, "mythological awareness." I use this to refer to work that knows what old folkloric/mythological/archetypal symbols and narratives and images it evokes. Work that knows that any love story is every love story, every mad scientist is a wizard and a shaman and a hacker as well. Kate is singing about the things we pay attention to as children and forget as adults, the sky is a marvel its easy to forget about because its there every day, but that doeant mean its any less a marvel. This might be the most straightforward u2-ish rock single bush ever put out, but it feels like shes marching at the head of an army of zeppelins and airplanes and rockets powered by the laughter of gods. Andy bell of erasure is singing about a fictionalized pre-aids era of gay utopia like its something that used to be real and can be real again if we all clap our hands. He details a world of "sisters and brothers" open to the pleasures of the world, fucking and loving and worrying about what theyll do for dinner rather than whether they can get into the hospital to watch their loved ones die. And over an unstoppable synthesizer bounce, falsetto floating over clouds of gospel-inflected backing vocals, you believe him. He could be talking about atlantis or hobbitton or erewhon or the greek age of heroes and he knows that, the halcyon past is a myth none of us can get away from, maybe we need to understand it and use it rather than disavow it. I was born years after both of these songs hit, and my parents didnt listen to either of these artists, so they come to me fresh and bright and veiled in the light obscuring mist of morning, for me and no one else (everyone else)

TURNING INTO THE TBH CREATURE READING THIS ASK YES I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ELABORATE ON THESE SONGS. ELATED EVEN. im glad you enjoyed what was on the playlist though! im well aware my music taste is eclectic and also everywhere at once. i never left my vocaloid phase ever, its simply aged with me. the amount of tmg songs on the playlist is because one of my qpps is REALLY into their music and gave me some recs. some music they recced me isnt on spotify alas.

this is gonna be a long one with A LOT of rambling so im gonna put it under cut.

4æm - this one is one of the songs that are a mix of just vibes and “i have the craziest amv in my head” for it. it makes me think of meeting someone walking down the sidewalk in the dead of night and it changing you irreparably. epic kaon behavior.

rain of blood - another one where its vibes, but specifically post chapter 20. i dont want to spoil what happens but a BIG thing happens for the mcs character development and their view on murder. more like post chapter 25 because i have a few filler chapters planned.

DEATHBODY - this ones a song that makes me think of the mc, specifically surrounding their obsession with dying and being killed that gets kind of worse after an incident sometimes after chapter 25. i have it planned out but not written LOL oops. some lyrics i especially like are “icicles of a medial at unease, please just pull me together and repair me. old thoughts floating above a new horizon. something i’ll never doubt; i know im rotten.” and “all this time, i felt that my time would arrive. that it can’t last forever; i’ve been decaying. moldy scaffolding, ritual strangling. no matter what i try, i seem to stay alive.”

alpha desperation march - this one is definitely early kaon and was added to the playlist when i was writing the early chapters! specifically the lyrics “im coming in. try and stop me. push furniture in front the door. it only gives me something to push against.” and “see im perfectly aware. of where our love stands. but the plain fact is that you owe me eight grand.” make me think of him. especially push furniture in front of the door one because hes always pushing and pushing, whether it be boundaries or literal doors. theres no stopping him when theres something he wants.

hello, i love you - OKAY THIS ONES FUNNY. while this would usually be considered a kaon song because of the obsessive and sugary sweet lyrics and the general i will literally never leave you alone ever-ness of it, i associate it more with vos for reasons unknown. vos, at specifically, his most down bad. he has enough control over himself to not act like this but he is just as stubborn as kaon and is more likely to lock you in a room with him until you talk to him if he really wants your attention. whereas kaon would probably go sulk somewhere. vos is pushy and very intense.

fruiting bodies - another mc song! more specifically a post chapter 20 mc song. theres a lot of imagery with a seed being planted and its roots filling them from the inside out. which is kind of fungal.

run rabbit run - VOS SONG. just a straight up vos song, it reminds me a lot of him. there are a lot of things that make me think of vos, foxes being one of them. is it a little worrying a fox betraying and hunting a rabbit is a vos song? maybe. dont worry about it too much. if he hunts the mc i can promise theyre both a little too into it LMFAO

call me little sunshine - okay so this is a kaon AND vos song. little sunshine is supposed to be lucifer because lucifer means light bringer. basically you will never be alone because you have the two most down bad murderers obsessed with you who will come to your every beck and call (within reason) amen

bad bad things - OKAY I CAN SEE HOW THIS SONG WOULD BE NERVE WRACKING TO RUN INTO. its not a kaon or vos song dw. thats all i will say. the part specifically that ive latched onto in my brain is the “so i looked into your eyes and i saw the reflection or a coward you and i hate very much. and then i grabbed the knife and let the blood out of your throat and smashed those tiny mirrors inside of your skull.” if that means anything

cemetary girl - admittedly theres no deeper meaning here i just like the vibes and its fun to write to!

bridezilla - this ones a mc song and their weird little view on what a wedding with kaon and vos would be like. theyre just as absolutely odd as those two. casey would literally black out if he went to their wedding and they tongue kissed the priest. shelby would record it.

saccharine- another vos song. he doesnt want to get so obsessed with the mc but he absolutely does. the similarities between the mc and vos have been touched upon from kaons early pov chapter, but vos sees them as a weaker version of himself. he doesnt want to hurt them (too badly), which is new for him because most people he meets he cant wait to tear them apart. there are a few exceptions to that rule, and the fact a sweet little human is one of them confounds him.

against pollution - a chapter 20 mc song thats all i will say

west country dream - another early chapters kaon song. it was added to the playlist when i first started writing and my qpp read the first few chapter and said. this song makes me think of them. i agreed and the rest is history! onto the playlist it went

choke - okay so am i allowed to just say “vos is into choking” and leave it at that? LMAOLMAO

cop car - another early kaon song that i added. if its the mountain goats my qpp added it but the mitski was my doing. this song just makes me think of how kaon thinks about the mc in the first few chapters!

haunt, the cartoon heart - a kaon song! just his obsessiveness and the adoration for the mc he has later on in the fic. i can see him singing this to them if im being honest and i do entertain myself by imagining it LOL. the end where “i think you scared her” i imagine as vos criticizing his usual heavy handed approach.

am i being followed…? - honestly theres nothing deep her i just like listening to this one while i write and the general vibes of the song! i just really like the artist too HSJSHS

grendel’s mother - this is one i added due to my qpps recommendation and another where i dont have any reasons besides vibes 😭

guillotine - THIS ONES ACTUALLY THE SOMG I LISTENED TO FOR HOURS NONSTOP AS I WROTE CHAPTER 22. so i cant say much other than the title for that chapter will be “the secrets you tell me, i’ll take to my grave. there’s bones in my closet, but you hang stuff anyway.” its a kaon song too.

the fox’s wedding - okay this ones a banger but the lyrics do come at you like a brick to the face. its not as bad as the other songs in the series its in which is saying something. this song is an mc song though. cannibalism? check. horniness? check. falling in love with a vengeful fox spirit? kaon and vos arent that but they are crazy asses so. id say somewhat check. other things i shant say…. check.

I'm so sorry I know its a lot but just please bear with me because I HAVE THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS I need to express lol.

So Jervis is incredibly interesting to me lmao.

I've been in and out of the Batman/Rogue fandom going on about six years. I've always wanted to like Jervis (I loved Alice in Wonderland as a child shush I still do plus mind control?? Hell yeah) but given his controversy and everyone just sweeping him under the rug, aside from BTAS and Arkhamverse, I felt like I was slowly getting a grasp on him but never quite got there.

Now fast forward after a year and a half out of the fandom and thwarting myself back in I am here and I've met a couple genuine Jervis fans for like years, fans, shout out to @march-harrigan and @jervis-tetch-my-beloved and when I read their work and thoughts I was like...Okay so it's not just me that thinks this...it was very affirming to see others got the same read on him.

Because I say this with 0 hesitation, Jervis can be a tricky mad lad to write for. I mean extremely (Jon moreso for me lately, stoicism isn't my strong suit but I'm working on it) difficult.

A lot of people have a bad habit of infantilizing him or making him out to be weaker than he is. Yes he's a wee mad lad with a penchant for rhymes, hats, and tea.

But he's also a murderer, kidnapper, manipulator, and a neuroscientist...he's one of the smartest bastards in the room but because he acts playful, and whimsical people misjudge and underestimate him

Also, Jervis has shown the capability of remorse (again varying iterations but he does seem the usual suspect to feel any sort of guilt whenever he's finally lucid) because of that, I felt a compulsion to do something DC writers are fucking terrified to do....actually give a rogue hope. They tried to reform Eddie but that didn't last (mostly cause of his own compulsions that were never properly addressed...poor baby..)

Now I know for many, a lot of these characters are BEYOND redeemable, Jervis included (y'know kidnapping, murder, mind control...yeah) and they're not inherently good people, but some rogues were once before...

And I truly do think if Jervis had a positive consistent in his life that was able to make reality a Wonderland, he wouldn't need the fantasy, he wouldn't need the delusion.

That's where the idea for Love and Suds came from.

I've written for Jervis a couple times before Love and Suds and when I tell you I had to stop myself from literally doing a character deep dive for a smut prompted request...I had to reel back A BUNCH. I would be almost 1k words in and remember oohhh they're supposed to be fucking goddamnit and have to edit the shit out of it.

So I knew I had to do something just to prevent it from happening again. Slowly but surely the plot came to me, but I was hesitant. Again, I didn't want to infantilize him, but I did want the reader to take care of him. Hence why a lot of the time in the story Jervis is scoffing at himself because he's in reality and he's ultra aware of what's going on but like he's also selfish and isn't going to pass up a chance to finally be clean.

Which is something else I hope I made clear was that Jervis was very much in reality during the entirety of the story whilst in his depression...hence why he wasn't rhyming, he wasn't absolutely appalled by the state of his home (scattered saucers, dirty tea cups everyone some broken after being thrown at the wall, hats with broken seams and holes in them, things I didn't really get a chance to describe). I'm sure you've figured that out but just wanted to confirm it.

It's one of those fics I hold near and dear to my heart.

Because one it was one of those fics I had going around in my head that I finally put onto paper and it was exactly how I envisioned it (its only happened with two other stories)

And two... I didn't realize how much it was wanted/needed? I knew since it wasn't a request from anyone it wasn't going to be everyone's fancy...but like the amount of feedback I got exclaiming that this is exactly what they want to see for Jervis? This is how they see him? Like I didn't realize that was something that people were looking for!

As far as if there's anything more to the story...when I tell you I have thought of sequel ideas for Love and Suds I have thought about it immensely...

I have a couple scenarios were Jervis returns the favor to Reader, one where Jervis comes to properly court the reader but overhears a heated argument with Reader defending Jervis to Batman, like the possibilities are ENDLESS but I also don't want to like...ruin it either you know? Too many may spoil it or make it bad?

But yeah...so sorry this is so long lmao if you guys do want more content regarding the set up of Love and Suds let me know! I may still write a couple connected drabbles here and there for a comfort project for myself but it's also good to know if you guys would be into it too! If tumblr could let us all have polls I'd put it in a poll but nooooo

Anon, you forget I rarely check out twitter.

I get my tea from tumblr and occasionally facebook and instagram. And things over here have been pretty normal. So I don't see it really. To my eyes, Polin has been getting the right ammount of attention. Or maybe it's just me, the polin fan, who sees polin everywhere.

Benophie fans have a right to ask for Sophie, in the same way there was an outcry for Kate before and during Season 1. we got a casting in mid March, but still the fans wanted to make themselves heard.

And Polin's season wasn't that surprising for most of us. With the amount of screentime they got in s1 and s2, were' all very aware that Polin's season is in fact s3. What with the amount of promotion they're getting. (My HC is that the rest of the Bridgerton actors who are available for promotions, are camera shy and not as used to being in interviews as Nicola) .

The polin season is getting a lot of hype. here in tumblr, heck, I'm riding that train on a normal day with my 146 project. Because they were in s1 and s2 and people want to see the conclusion of that love story in s3. Benophie on another hand is a love story that hasn't even started. It's normal for fans to be curious about who Sophie will be casted as.

Benedict is a fan favorite yes, but so is Eloise, people aren't more curious about her love story because we already know what her love interest is like. Chris Fulton will one day make a heck of a romantic lead for Claudia Jessie but that's some years in the future and we are satisfied with those breadcrums. With Sophie, what happens is that we don't know who her actress will be or what the character will be molded as. so the outcry of the fans is to get a face to put with the character. I think that's a reasonable thing.

I frowned a bit, my lips curling in an amused smile, before leaning against the back of my couch, holding my phone against my ear. It was late on a friday night and for some reason, I had decided on a relaxed evening in front of the tv. Still, I had to admit that getting a phone call from my drunk best friend was not something I had expected.

"Y/N, are you okay?" I asked, still smiling slightly as she started giggling.

"Yes, but I wanted to leave and my friends told me I was not allowed to drive." she explained with difficulty. "I have no idea why, I'm totally sober."

I laughed and she groaned, making me shake my head. "D'ya want me to pick you up, petal?"

"You would be a sweetheart!"

She looked happy that I proposed first and we finally hung up. I checked my phone to make sure she sent me the address and jumped in my car. It took me about 15 minutes to get there and I noticed her immediately, her arms wrapped around herself, her shoulders up as she tried to keep herself warm in her big hoodie. When I parked next to her, I realized it was actually my hoodie and smiled. It looked better on her.

"See guys? I have a ride home!" she let out a bit too loud, probably not even aware of it. "And he's pretty too!"

I laughed and rolled my eyes again as she waved them goodbye and opened the passenger's door, letting herself fall on the bench before closing the door. She leaned her head against the back of it and turned her face to me, sending me a big smile.

"Thank you, pretty boy." she said in a softer voice. "I can always count on you."

"Put your seatbelt on, darling, and stop flirting with me." I joked with a smirk, making her raise her nose up in a grimace.

She didn't answer but did as I asked and I started driving her back to my place. I could feel her eyes on me and after a while, I glanced at her and my lips curled slightly again on the left.

"What?"

"I can't tell. You're not allowing me to."

I frowned a bit and glanced at her again with a smile. "I was kiddin' pet, you can tell me anything, that's what best friends are for."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"Because, it may come off as a shock to you." she argued, making me laugh this time.

"Don't worry, I can take it."

"Okay then." she shrugged, shaking her head a bit. "I was not flirting, I was trying to get in your pants."

My heart jumped in my chest and I could feel my heartbeats accelerate. I had no idea if her confession made me horny or just made everything awkward, but deep down, I liked it, and it made me curious.

"Why would you want that?"

"Because you're pretty, Horan. You're so fucking pretty. Who said you could be pretty like that?"

I laughed harder and she sent me a smile. "What else?."

"I'm curious about your cock. I want to know how big it is. Is it thick? Tell me."

I felt her hand on my thigh and held my breath as my heart started beating all over my body. It's not that I didn't enjoy that, because on fact, I really did, but there was no way I would have sex with my best friend while she was drunk.

Hey! My name is Aspen (Don't call me 'Asp' unless I know you.) and I'm currently in my last year of high school at Uva Academy and I'll be attending Nar-Uva for university too. Trying to type this 'properly' but I don't really talk like this online I'm gonna be real. [See above] Things to know about me,,,,, While I currently live in Paldea, I was born and raised in Nimbasa City, and also lived on Ula'ula Island from the ages of 10-14, and I'm currently 17 and I finished up my Island Challenge last year in,,,, I wanna say March? (2023) Got champion rank in like December. (Also 2023) I'm currently in the STEM track at Nar-Uva, with a focus on Health Sciences and Biotechnology. I like cooking, Cyclizar (??? i'll elaborate below) racing, science, and some other stuff. I've been getting more involved in Pokemon battling recently too if you're into that. I don't think there's really much else to mention? I went to Ultra Space that one time, that was. Definitely an interesting experience, to say the least. Would not recommend, lmfao.

I do more things with Aspen in a discord RP, and he will likely reference events which occur in said discord RP. Additionally, he has a lot of lore/backstory derived from this RP as well, just something to be aware of.

Regarding the above point; Aspen is a Chosen of Palkia, she will say things on this blog occasionally. This Palkia is not necessarily 'good,' and could be considered cruel at times.

I've got a canon I'm working with, so I may ignore an ask or an interaction if it goes against it strongly.

High stakes won't be a huuuuuge thing on here, I don't see Aspen explicitly talking about his trauma on this blog, but he may refer to past events. Things that are explicitly high stakes will be tagged accordingly.
