Yuga Ohdo: he's so small. like sure he's eleven and eleven year olds do really be tiny but even compared to all his friends (mostly also eleven) he's just. pint-sized. pipsqueak. fun-sized. all he cares about is his roads (inventions - cause he may be eleven but he's also an engineering genius) and making sure people have fun (mainly through duels). he's such a sweet wee kid i'd die for him i'd kill for him i'd blow up a government building for him <-- something he's basically almost done by the way in case that helps. he also time travelled twice and was turned into a card and a cat in case that helps (this is related to the time travelling)

Yugi Moto: sooooo short he's just a little birthday boyyyy. usually drawn as about half the size of everyone around him. constantly punted & picked up like a sack of potatoes bc he is SO fucking little

Blair Flannigan: No propaganda provided

Pharoah Atem: ok i KNOW you're all gonna be like "idk when i saw the anime as a kid he was pretty tall compared to yugi" but that is a LIE! he is canonically 5ft aka the exact same size as yugi aka absolutely tiny. a running gag in the manga is to have only the spikes of his hair in frame with all of his tall ass friends. he's fucking tiny

Monster Reincarnation

This card caught me so off guard when it popped up in the anime looking exactly like this. There was only three years between the first English version episode (the censored) Monster Reborn appeared in versus the first episode this card appears in. And apparently in that time frame they just decided that ankhs were okay??? Or was it just not worth it to change this art that shows up during two separate filler arcs? Speaking of the original Monster Reborn though, when compared with this art, I actually like this art a whole lot more. The angle of the ankh and the sunlight streaming down onto it through cloudy skies creates a sense of drama here that Monster Reborn just doesn’t have. Seriously, it’s so good.
