"Time is a construct and progress isn’t inherently good. That is the main takeaway from this song and it’s probably something you’re not aware of if you listen to it really young the first time, but it’ll seep into your world view. This song is like Wall-E. It warns of the dangers of letting “progress” and ease take away meaningful parts of being human. Choice and connections are so essential to our experience, but the way society is going we are letting others (like corporations) streamline so much: what we say, what we eat, what we can see, how we exercise (or don’t), procreation. The song is very critical or losing these tasks we take for granted, it uses God’s judgment/disappointment to nail that coffin closed. Then the song also goes “all time is happening at once and we still have a chance to fix this” that’s a bit of whiplash and some entirely new philosophy to work with. I did mention, this song is like Wall-e but it’s from the 1960s"

The song 2525 ticks me off because they don't commit to the numbering all the way through. 2525, 3535, 4545, 5555, 6565, good so far, but then 7510. What kinda tomfuckery is this? They're cowards for not powering through it; 7575 is only 8 syllables compared to 6 for the rest, they could have made it work. And then 8510, that's just egregious. There's no good reason they couldn't have gone back to 8585, it has the exact same number of syllables as the rest! And then they end with 9595, so they made a conscious choice to make 7 and 8 suck.
