So after a comment I got from the lovely @dangara2610 I wanted to ask a question to the tangled fandom.
If I were to start a group where people were to cover various songs as the TTS characters, would you want to be a part of it?
If yes, what roles would you be interested in taking on, be it singing, making AMVs, or anything else?
This would be a passion project rather than a paid gig, since whether we were to stick with covers or branch out to originals, we would still technically be using copyrighted content unless we stopped associating our work with TTS
Also, would you prefer a casting call for every song, or to have set characters you play/roles you take on? It also wouldn't matter if there were a few duplicate roles, as different people could take on different songs. You could also voice multiple characters if you wanted, though only one per song.
As long as they are a tangled character, there would be no limits to who you could sing as, and the future may hold branching out into different fandoms
(Please note that though you could audition for anyone, characters would be offered based on who's voice you can imitate the best, rather than your favourites)
If you're interested in being a part of this if it were to take off, please DM me! I'd love to hear your ideas! Anyone from any background and with any level of ability in what they'd like to contribute can join, this is for fun after all!
EDIT: please contact @tbspiritss if you're interested in joining. Since I posted this, my main account's shadow ban was undone, so I've moved back to it 🩵
You know what saddens me about A.I. covers? Besides the fact that people could just either commission or request fellow fans to sing songs as certain characters, but the fact that you're not giving attention to people who do this on their own. There's a genuine love that's put to these covers that people are missing out on. So I wanna share a couple of these with all of you and if there's any you'd recommend, feel free to add! (Also, yes, they're all Hazbin-related covers, but y'know, that's the big thing right now. Songs related to other fandoms are welcome!)
I think from now on it'll be a regular occurrence for me to advertise whenever the Wagstaff Drama Club releases a new Bob's Burgers cover via @devilh0rnsinc's YouTube Channel!
We tackled Lucky Ducks from The Bob's Burgers Movie, and it was so much fun to do. I got to play the "iconic" role of Carnie #5 (the one who says, "And our misdemeanors, now we sell fried dough and weiners!")
@numberonetinabelcherdefender was also a part of this as Tina, and part of the backup singers. @devilh0rnsinc also was part of the backup singers and edited everything!! All the love in the world shall go to them for editing all of this and making it possible. They're such a wonderful singer, by the way!!
@sydney-sawyerr was also a part of this as Louise, and she did such a fantastic job!!
I would tag everyone else too, but I don't think the rest of the singers have Tumblr!! Definitely go check them out on their other Socials, though!!

Hello fellow vocal synths, how do you guys feel about other vocal synths doing covers of your songs? I personally love it, because it means they heard my song.
hello hello hello everyone!!!! local weird archivist, lesbian, and mythology nerd here. did you know I also make stuff? now you do, and even better you can get some custom stuff!!
I make a lot of book recommendation lists for friends and work (check out some examples here), and I realized I have a lot of fun doing it, so I want to do it for other people!! if you would like custom recommendations on any topic you’re interested in, fill out the commission form here and I’ll make you one!!
I also have a literal degree in music, and one of my friends recently commissioned me to transcribe some of her favorite songs into (viola) sheet music; I hadn’t even thought of that as a commission idea before but now that I’ve done it I think it’s super cool, so if you want a song for you or a friend or sibling or parent put onto sheet music and you can’t find it online, commission me here!! I really want to do these, so please do commission me! I can translate vocal lines to instrument lines, straight up notate existing vocal/guitar/bass lines, and even do extra stuff if you have more time and money (email me, I would love to do complex projects!!)
also please feel free to share this around!!! I want to make cool stuff for cool people, and sharing is the best way to help me do that. I hope you guys like and share this, and I can’t wait to start making cool stuff soon!!!
I don't care if you don't like song covers. I require every song I like to also have both a lo-fi and a metal version if they're not already in those genres.
Have you found any super accurate piano cover of I see the light? I can find some online but they always add over the top details that aren’t in the actual song
Look for a piano tutorial rather than a piano cover. That will give you much more soundtrack-accurate music. Then, you'll be able to look at beginner, intermediate and master, in order to find one that suits your needs.
This is a hard-level piano tutorial and is probably the sort of thing you're looking for:
youtube
Anytime you're looking for an extremely accurate piano cover of anything, look for a piano tutorial, instead. They follow the sheet music.
So I've been getting heavily into AI song covers because Jack Davenport refuses to sing and I crave hearing him sing .. and wow can he BELT out a tune when he wants!
I'm part of the amazing Wagstaff Drama Club, a group run by the amazing and super talented @devilh0rnsinc who are going to be covering several Bob's Burgers songs!!
Our first song was Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom, and I think it can out great!!
@numberonetinabelcherdefender was so good as Louise. I had the pleasure of getting to play Gretchen.
