Prince in Denver, July 3, 1986, by John Leyba, my edit of original via totally80s. Joni Mitchell joined him for an encore of “Purple Rain”, but alas, I couldn’t find a photo of that (or indeed, any photo of them together).

i'm thinking of a (cursed) comparison between classic rock bands and kpop girl groups. i have reasons for all, and i've even divided them according to generation:
the beatles: snsd
the rolling stones: 2ne1
the who: f(x)
led zeppelin: sistar/exid
queen: red velvet
rush: loona (böc may be here too)
hanoi rocks: weki meki
iron maiden: dreamcatcher
mötley crüe: itzy
fyi: the 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations of kpop correspond to the 60s, 70s and 80s respectively. gnr isn't here since we're still in the early 4th gen. they're in late gen 4.
ask and i shall explain (also may add other bands in the future)
