There are speculations about Zhao Wei. 1. It's about her photoshoot where she wore a dress looked like the Japanese's flag (The raising sun one, during WW). 2. Because ZZH is under her management (if this is the reason, I think it's unfair).

Man Anon, your guess on this is as good as mine. There's also speculation that its due to her connections with Alibaba and Jack Ma, or it might be because of her husband's business connections, or it could be from her past shady business dealings that led her to being banned from the stock market for 5 years, etc. There are so many possibilities and nothing confirmed because all CCP said was there was violation of regulations but didn't go into detail. Its actually quite interesting to see how she's managed to keep whatever scandal she's being banned for on the downlow as compared to everyone else...

In any case, a rumour has it that Kris gave up 47 names in order to try and get leniency for himself- so if the rumour is true, this is only the beginning, and we should see more celebs being affected / embroiled in scandal over the next few weeks.

Omg what is going on in China. Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of the C-ent? So far the list of stars affected/charged are:

Kris Wu: charged for rape

Zhang Shuang: banned for the surrogacy scandal

Zhang Zhehan: banned for his visit to Yauskuni and Nogi shrine

Zhao Wei: seems like she's banned for an unknown reason??? All her works have removed her name or been removed, her weibo supertopic is gone, and no clear reason was given except that she violated regulations (??)

Qian Feng: left DDU after a rape allegation resurfaced against him

Zhou zhennan: scenes have been mysteriously scrubbed from Happy Camp???

Activities affected include anything to do with fandom: fan clubs have to be regulated and registered, celeb rankings are removed, and celebs are now in charge of managing and guiding their fan behaviour. This last part makes me worried for GGDD as they have some of the most rabid fans around, and its suspected that YB/YB's studio was warned literally 3 days ago on 27 Aug about guiding & restraining the behaviour of fans. Seriously? How do you expect them to control sasaengs who won't even respect their privacy, and think its ok to put trackers on the cars, who call the airlines and change their flight times so that these sasengs can meet them at the airport, who think its fucking funny to call their hotel rooms incessantly and who get delighted when their supposed idol gets angry at the harassment, etc.????

Welp. Watching my other fandom go up in flames again, and this time, I don't know how he's going to recover. The amount of hate and viritol directed at one single person makes me incredibly sad. The smear campaign really ramped up these last few weeks, and never mind even about laying low, I honestly don't know if he even has a future in C-ent anymore after this. Anyway, if anyone has Word of Honor queued up in their to-watch list, do it now, before it gets cancelled and taken down. I know I've said it before, but this time, it really might disappear for good.

Although I guess it also depends on what you're looking for? If its an archive of BJYX material, I've read that the best one is on douban, but its locked and membership is almost impossible. The alterative is following the fan sites directly on WB since none of them seem to be deleting material anymore. If its a community of fellow fans to squeal over BJYX with, there's always tumblr or twitter.

I should clarify: the "breaking" of the actor couple ship itself is controversial. It appears to stem from a popular discord server dedicated to the actor couple ship, based on an "insider" rumour + what the actor said + what the actor did not confirm but also did not deny yesterday. The smear campaign on the other hand, is on Weibo. I am not going into any further details because its unnecessary drama, and the actor has been through enough.

To add onto this complicated mess, there's a smear campaign going on against the same actor that some fans view as being "responsible" for the whole thing, and an ongoing theory that the smear campaign is started by a particular production company with an upcoming BL drama - the idea is that the company wants to "clear" the fandom to free up fans for the new drama.

Omg so I'm on the GD route for my first playthrough, and I've just done the Battle of Gronder and had to kill Dimitri and I'm legit crushed. Why couldn't the Alliance and the Kingdom have teamed up?! Goddammit. I'm gonna have to do the BL for the next playthrough now... gah this hurts.

OK so this is possibly one of the geekiest things I will ever write on this blog but, well, I am going on a short hiatus because Fire Emblem: Three Houses has literally taken over my life since getting it 2 weeks ago, and I have been spending all my free time playing it. I’m about 50 hours into the game and only halfway through, and so far the story is pretty much blowing my mind. The betrayals! The twists! The wrenching angst as you slew people you knew on the battlefield! You can tell the amount of work and care that has gone into this game: the characters are so well developed and fleshed out, the voice acting is fantastic, and the support relationships the team develops is so realistic. Each of these characters have their own unique baggage that they carry, and even though they have A+ support on the battlefield and take damage for each other, they don’t necessarily get along off the battlefield, which results in some pretty hilarious support convos. Also the music effing slaps - come on, they went in hard with this! I haven’t been this addicted to a game since I finished Breath of the Wild when I literally ignored the outside world and disappeared for 3 months to explore Hyrule, and that familiar feeling is creeping back up on me again, and 3 Houses has multiple replay value because of all the branching avenues you could take, so! I’m gonna disappear for a bit, but I’m fine this time, just addicted to Fire Emblem and determined to marry each of the 3 house leaders in turn, and if you’re looking for a good JRPG on the Switch, GET IT. YOU WON’T REGRET IT.
