Are Starscream’s Trinemates just,,, straight-up dead?

Spoilersish below the cut

In short...yeah. While they survived the crash and the adjustment period to Paradise, because Starscream was effectively dead and cut off for so long they, no longer able to feel him in their tine bond and having felt him “die”, kind of were forced to move on. They adjusted to Paradise, survived the remaining war there, but...unfortunately didn’t survive when the first of the viral Megatrons started fucking shit up, as they were among those who fought the new Megatrons, knowing full well that they were nothing but corrupted copies.

it’s particularly jarring for Starscream because he basically has a sort of “phantom spark syndrome” occuring, despite knowing they’re dead. Because his spark was inactive when theirs went out, it’s still reaching for them instinctively, trying to make a connection that can’t be completed.

Of course, they still lived on Paradise for decades during peacetime...makes you wonder what they left behind :)

ME GRIMLOCK KING.

Grimlock design work for TF: Paradise! The king of Dinobot Island, Grimlock patrols and protects his territory and people fiercely. Don’t let his heavy accent and propensity for violence fool you, this dino is a seasoned, clever warrior and loyal leader, and he doesn’t tolerate insults or injury to him or his people.

Still not sure exactly what sort of coloration his dinobits actually have. I really like the side-stripe I presented above, also with “Springtime” coloration- the colors shift for a few months of the year, like how certain lizards and birds have unique breeding coloration for a while. Some more potential colors tested below;

There’s still plenty of time to tinker with his design, and who knows? Maybe his coloration changes over time, or I’ll recycle these for other dinobots. For now, though, I’m just happy to have the basics of his design down so I can start drawing him consistently.

You bet your ass there’s robot babies in TF: Paradise! Some stuff on how they develop- they all have rather insectoid growth patterns.

They get real cute tho.

Starscream is real nervous (he’s never even seen a “child” before, as they were extremely rare on Cybertron) until he realizes how easy it is to gain kids’ adoration. Plus, he’s vulnerable to how helpless they are.
