I’ve had the “you can shove your coronation up your arse” stadium chant from EU TikTok stuck in my head for the last five hours and now it’s begun overlapping with Jack Black’s “Peaches Peaches Peaches, PEAchES Peaches PEACHES” song from the Mario Bros movie.
I don’t know weather to laugh or cry.

I was having a nice day.
UNTIL I SCROLLED DOWN MY PAST POSTS AND WAS VIOLENTLY REMINDED OF THIS EVENT.
One time a friend and I made May Day baskets to drop off at some other friends’ houses and I had one last basket to deliver on my way home since the last friend was on my travel route so I swung through their neighborhood, rang the bell and left the basket. Then when I got home I found out that friend’s family had moved like the month before and I’d left the basket at the house of a complete stranger.
Which, y’know, wouldn’t have been so bad
IF MY MAY DAY MAYHEM FRIEND AND I HADN’T SIGNED THE CARD
“YO, TOTALLY NOT A CREEPER LOL”

It’s late and I’m feeling absolutely feral.
If this ever gets 10 notes I’ll dig up and revive my most chaotic college essay on the Enigma machine and post it so we can all ask it five questions before it dies again never to be re-revived.

When the sorcerer turned the swan into a woman, he was picturing someone beautiful, graceful, and fragile. What he got was someone beautiful, graceful, and very much willing and able to kill a man.

the reason Michael Caine and Tim Curry are so good in their respective Muppet movies is that Michael Caine treats the Muppets as fellow actors, and Tim Curry treats himself as a fellow Muppet

This is my thesis statement on the difference between the TOS and AOS triumvirates that literally not a single person asked for.

Judging from the Daily Dracula tag a lot of people don’t know how copies were made with a typewriter - which is totally fair but is something I know so it’s grating at me.
Carbon copy paper existed and was used to make copies. The letters from a typewriter hit the paper hard enough to transfer the letters to another paper beneath and it was common to do two layers so you’d make three copies in one go. Mina, being a modern and clever woman with professional level typing skills, was most likely implementing this to make three copies at once while typing all of the information. One copy with ink letters directly from the typewriter and two copies made with carbon paper.
Fun aside the CC on emails comes from ‘carbon copy’ which stems from this practice of making immediate copies of handwritten or typed documents and giving someone a copy.

Fact: The earliest reliably dated use of the phrase “fucked up” appears in the court records of a US Navy court-martial case from 1863; the way the phrase is used suggests that its meaning was already well known at the time, but this is the first known printed record of it that we can confidently put a date to.
Additional fact: Bram Stoker’s Dracula is set in 1897.
Conclusion: It would not anachronistic for your Dracula fanfic to have a character describe the Count as a fucked up old man.
