revisiting star wars is really about rediscovering just how unhinged john williams really is. there’s a reason they picked him to make the olympic sport anthem, a universal theme song for the entire planet. literally insurmountable skill on display in every composition. It takes an absolute champion among the human race to wake up every day knowing you’re the guy who made Duel Of The Fates. and he did All Of That. For Space Wizards.

Someone at work asked me if I used discord regularly and a work colleague chimed in to say-- "I grew up using IRC back when that was the only option, I'm just traumatized about servers in general."

Anyway, if you're wondering if I don't do discord because I hate everyone and everything and am an antisocial hater, the answer is no, I just have formative early internet trauma and prefer threaded asynchronous conversations that don't require an immediate response.

I began quilting in the 1990s. I have handquilted about 60 sci-fi quilts. It has been many years of trial and error. I was never very good at following quilting patterns. My favorite pattern is the disappearing nine patch. I use it a lot in my quilts. My blocks were never perfect. In fact , I’m most certain every quilt I have made has a mistake or two. There is nothing wrong with making mistakes, I look at the mistake as adding character and artistic deviations to my quilts. :) A quilt doesn’t have to be a complicated design . My first quilt was an appliqué Star Trek baby quilt. It was simple by quilting standards. I worked so hard on it. It took months to finish but I was incredibly proud. As I was learning to quilt, I secretly hoped to make something fancy and worthy of an art show one day. FYI, A little more than 30 years later, I have never entered any of my quilts into an art show. I quilt for me. I quilt to give one of a kind quilts to friends and family…and the occasional acquaintance on the internet. Maybe one day, one of my quilts will make it to outer space. How glorious would that be? Peace to you and yours.

Also can we talk about how broken as fuck the Jedi:Survivor Oggdo's Spawn boss fight is. Like his attacks are unblockable. One of them is un-blockable AND un-dodgable. You have to jump. Does that sound hard? Sure. But still doable BUT NO because ALSO if you don't jump toward the center of the room he deals damage to you IN. THE. AIR. Also he can instant kill you. Turn on the spot. And his attacks are randomized so if you don't get lucky in the second half he can just keep spamming the un-blockable/un-dodgable/you have to glitch attack at you. It's the /woorrrsttt/
