The 1981 Glades County Jane Doe has been identified as Nicki Elkins. For nearly four decades, she was thought to be a woman aged 25-45, but in reality, she was only 16. She had left home to visit an unnamed boyfriend on Valentine’s Day of 1981.

Her decomposed body was found on 9 March of the same year, dying from a blow to the head. She was thought to have been seen in a Lewiston, Florida prior to her still-#unsolved #murder. The reconstructions pictured were created by artist #SamanthaSteinberg and an unknown artist. 🧬
