RE: I got Volume 15.

After pulling it from my shelves yesterday, it's still on my desk. Because I have the habit of putting down my books with the cover down, now, every time I glance to the left, I see Ciel's bombastic side eye.

Happy Season 4 Saturday! Yesterday, my tumblr app glitched a bit and I thought this blog somehow got deleted without my knowledge orz All is well, thankfully! (Maybe, it would have been better that way; then, you wouldn't even have to scroll past this heh)

I recently bought Volume 15 as it was next in sequence (with that I mean 13, 14, 15; I own uh 5 + 2 volumes), not realising it contained one of my favourite panels in the manga^^ They make up for the Sebastian cover. So happy to have it in print now!

And so happy to have seen it animated!!! They look so cute^^

What I like about that part is that Ciel looks so genuinely surprised that McMillan offered to help out of the blue just because they're friends; Ciel didn't have to do or say anything to make him do that. And then, Ciel smiles so impishly right after because McMillan's offer, of course, fits greatly into his scheming XD (In the anime, I missed that smile a bit. Instead, he looks... a bit in thought and sort of happy in a sad way? (worst description))

Anyway, Ciel has the best of friends, even if he doesn't want to acknowledge it.

My spider senses tingled watching the second episode. I checked the manga afterwards, and yes! McMillan wasn't that tall! They stretched the boy, making Ciel look even smaller than he is 😭 Give him a little stool to stand on, omg.

Oh, yes. There are few people (still) actively following the fic, I think, but I'm very lucky that they are all very nice people!^^ Never really thought of them as "little fan base" orz

Ah, you do like that? Very happy to hear! I planned to do a large "making of" chapter/post when I finally finish this arc because there are many things that changed a lot and other things that I considered and rejected, etc. But that's still a long way to go^^' I could do smaller-scale "behind the scenes" stuff in the meantime though! And research stuff and writing stuff too, sure. (Though I don't exactly have a writing technique...) Thanks!

A commenter on Ao3 said they get worried when I don't update the fic/this blog for a long time, so I'm now trying my best to show that I am still alive.^^' I only don't really know what to post about orz Anything someone wants to see/know? You know, apart from more frequent chapter updates.

No, not a fever dream! You are correct that Oscar knows that Cedric is a Grim Reaper. He said that to Cloudia in the intermission's (The Reaper, Hosting a Party) flashback section.

The current set of "Oscar" flashbacks will not stay in 1843 (the next flashback will be the last one set in that year); the continuation of that intermission conversation will also be part of these flashbacks :)
