Table Mountain Gilgil Hike
Table Mountain, strategically sits next to Lake Elementaita, in a small forested area known as Maji Moto. The Great Rift Valley, Aberdares, Lake Elementaita, and Sleeping Warrior are just a few of the breathtaking and picturesque sights visible while you are on this hike.
The start point is just right at the drop off point along the the Nairobi-Nakuru highway, where it ascends to a peak with a beautiful view of Lake Elementaita after crossing a railroad.
A flat portion then follows along a cliff on the left after a brief dip through the bush lands. It then ascends once more, climbing quickly and easily to the peak of Table Mountain.
As there aren't many trees on the plateau's top, it's best to take the much-anticipated lunch break at the hot springs, which can be reached after a brief decent.
