my cat, kimo, has been unable to go po.tty and refusing to eat for two days. he cant walk properly because of this. i asked my nearest vet and his treatment needs at least $300. i dont have that much... he's very dear to me and has been with me for two years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
he's really weak and we have been trying our best to give him medicine that we could find. I'm really scared to lose him because he's just... he's so so dear to me. he's my everything.
my p.a.y.p.al is mayohiyo (please only choose business to prevent li.mit (´;︵;`)...)
and my ko☕fi is mayofriends
kimo is an indoor cat that ive been taken care of with love and affection and seeing him in pain shatters my heart... it just happened so suddenly and i currently am doing everything i can to bring him back to health. i appreciate any help i can get so so much with my life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this is him when he was still young!! i love him more than anything he's my best friend and my support. without him I'd feel so lost....

Apologies for posting them like they’re about to kiss every week but it will happen again. They’re both obsessed with each other what can I say?
Tumblr media
By the way cute little bonus detail about this one: I imagine that sometimes when Kaiyo is in her more “relaxed outfits” (t-shirt, leggings/jeans and her glasses) Threepio can’t help but think she still looks cute and he’ll prop her on the counter like in the picture:
Kaiyo: Woah! Threeps, what are you doing?
Threepio: Apologies, my dear, but I simply couldn’t help myself…

saint thinks that maybe a beautiful dream can only be real if aventurine is there with her.
"Ugh… it's so hot."
Aventurine's grumbled complaint is accompanied by the the sound of a spoon scraping around a pint of ice cream. Once he scoops out a generous glob of the chocolatey, fruity dessert and stuffs it in his mouth, he passes the container to Saint.
She digs for her own share. The standing fan hums in the background and does its best to push warm air around her home. "They're still trying to fix the AC for the staff dorms. Apparently."
Neither of them talk much that night, too warm and lazy to do anything. Saint doesn't often keep ice cream in her freezer, but Aventurine likes it, and that's just another one of the changes she's made since he started spending time with her. In retrospect, she appreciates his goading her into stocking more snacks. She thinks of him whenever she indulges herself.
Once the pint is fully decimated, Aventurine leans back against the couch and throws an arm over his face, groaning quietly. Saint observes him.
He looks so different in a regular t-shirt and shorts. Not a member of the IPC, but just a guy she'd see anywhere. One of billions of people in their universe.
…He's not like other wealthy guests, she realizes. Old folks who delight in telling her just how much they have, how a stay in the Reverie is simply a yearly vacation. Families born into money and big businesses and high society. He's never mentioned any of those things--then again, it's rare he mentions anything about his past.
"…Aventurine." That's not his name, is it?
"Mm?"
"What… kind of a planet did you come from?"
He says nothing for a while, and the silence makes Saint anxious enough to keep talking.
"Because I mean… obviously the Dreamscape never changes, but neither does the hotel really. There's not much season change when everyone stays in one huge building all the time, unless you go outside, and why would you…"
Aventurine takes mercy on her and lowers his arm, staring up at the ceiling with a blank look on his face. "You don't know, huh? I'm from Sigonia-IV. It's a… desert planet." He speaks slowly. "Sand and sun and more sand. We get… we got a lot of meteorites, quicksand, that kind of thing. Almost no rain. Far from being a tourist destination."
Not having been to any planet other than her own, Saint tries to imagine it. Her only frame of reference for deserts is the Moment of Scorchsand, but of course that's a deliberately crafted dream made to awe and dazzle. There's no dehydration or heatstroke in a dream, and at worst, one wakes up feeling a little sweaty.
Aventurine trying to survive in the desert… it's so far from who he currently is that it shocks her. What kind of a life has he led? How did he get from there to here?
"You really don't go anywhere, do you?" he wonders aloud. There's no mockery in his voice; he just speaks the truth. He casts a glance at her that looks a little sad.
"No… never. I can't remember the last time I left the hotel. There's… well, nothing out there."
Languidly, Aventurine sits up. "Show me."
-
There are a few smaller exits in the hotel, long-forgotten and unnecessary. Mostly fire escape balconies where one can step out and touch the sky.
It's one of these that Saint leads him to. She opens a door and gets the two of them blasted with warm air before they carefully step outside onto a little metal platform with a rail. A mere blemish against the hotel's imposing facade.
Outside of the Reverie, in the back where ships aren't docking, one can see how little attention has been paid to the surrounding area. Small handfuls of residences clump around the hotel with factories beyond them, but nothing so grand or developed as anything in the dream. The rest of the planet is a careless afterthought.
The people of Penacony have three options: be born into The Family, eke out a meager existence struggling for power and wealth in the Dreamscape… or leave. In some ways, it never stopped being a prison planet. Dreamers are instead plied with the illusion of excess, drinks that make one forget, and promises of neverending happiness.
It speaks of Saint's well-cared-for upbringing that she can forget the world beyond her hotel even exists. No one will ever deny her entrance to the Dreamscape, and she will always have a seat at the table.
It's everything she needs, right?
Aventurine takes in their environment quietly, unsurprised as Saint knew he would be. Outsider he may be, she knows for a fact that he's researched Penacony in detail. Then he looks up.
"At least the stars look nice here."
Saint follows his gaze and traces her eyes across the Penacony night sky. It's true, she can see everything outside of her little planet. Constellations and clouds of galaxies hang quietly, peering down at them with impassive eyes like statues dedicated to Xipe. She wonders if she's ever noticed or if she slept through that too.
"Hey…" Aventurine starts, his gaze still skyward. "If I ever asked you to come with me. Hypothetically. What would you say?"
The two of them are buffeted by wind that's noisy against their ears and rough against her wings. It drowns out the sound of their breaths. Saint hopes it snatches away her answer too.
"I don't know."
She catches a barely audible huff of amusement from him. He's never felt further away than now, and it makes her want to reach out and grasp him tight and never let go. Part of her does want to beg him to take her away from here. It's dizzying how completely possible it is. But as much as she hates certain things about this place--the Family, the corruption, the sadness that permeates the fabric of the dream--she can't imagine being anywhere else. Her roots are too deep, too tangled in the earth to let go without ripping apart first.
Baptized in memoria she was born, and buried in memoria she will surely die.
Saint is brought out of her daze when she feels him slink his arms around her waist from the side, drawing her close to his body. Even with the heat, she doesn't think to shy away from him.
Aventurine's lips touch her ear. He murmurs, "Offer's always open. Tomorrow, two years later. I'll come get you."
Her throat tightens. She cups his face in her palm and turns to him, touching her nose to his. He's the only person she would trust to follow through on that promise. "Thank you."
Since when was she so optimistic? Since him, she answers herself. Since he roused her from a deep and joyless slumber, upending her life with a grand spectacle she never even dreamed of.
Sleep is a rehearsal for death, he once told her, and she is more rehearsed than anyone.
But... is that really alright? To dream until she never wakes up again, never knowing anything outside of her cage? She never really questioned it, but these days, with Aventurine's stories of other worlds, she feels restless.
"I could take you anywhere you want. We could go to Thalassa and see the ocean."
Saint's eyes grew wide. "Is it like the Moment of Oasis?"
Aventurine chuckled, and she could hear the grin in his voice. "It's even bigger than that. A whole planet of water. Tons of fish too. Maybe it's not as pretty as the dream, but..."
She turned to hug him tight, filled with a giddiness she never knew existed in her.
"I want to see it."
