New series: VTV Beginnings (r2)
New series: VTV Beginnings (r2): It's hard to believe, but there was a time when publishing and watching video on the internet was a rather complicated thing. Bandwidth was sufficient only for stamp sized videos, competing video codecs were a pain, and video hosting platforms rare. When YouTube started in 2005, the playback quality was crap. So when we started VernissageTV in 2005, we had to adapt to the realities, which meant: filming in HD, but publishing in 320x240. Well, times have changed and 4k videos a no brainer. But what about those old videos? Well, with the arrival of AI driven upscaling software it's possible to substantially improve the quality of legacy videos. And that's exactly what we are doing now. We are currently remastering videos from the early days of VernissageTV (2005-2007), so you will soon see some “historic” stuff on our channel. We decided to attach the label “r2” to these videos to distinguish them from our “r3” series. What's the difference you may ask? Well, the r3's are also recut, while the r2's retain their original editing. This is also the reason why we don't repost the r2 videos on our website, instead we just replace the video files on the posts. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLVcPFUhBuut9dGoA8x6PSow-_t3PwjfHY

Marjan Moghaddam’s #Arthacks
In her series #Arthacks digital artist Marjan Moghaddam deals with the global art market. The artist uses footage of major art fairs and populates the scenes with distorted and hallucinogenic 3D CG figures. For her recent works she also used footage from VernissageTV's coverage of Art Basel. Here’s the link to her latest piece: https://twitter.com/TheMarjan/status/1670815480389550080
