History was repeating itself.

The mere statement was so true, it frightened Seojun.

At first he didn't mind seeing Cody skip a couple meals and stay up all night, he was in college after all there are going to be times were you have to pull an all-nighter.

But what irked him was when he started to grow more distant and pessimistic, even being irritable at times.

It scared him, it absolutely scared Seojun that Cody was starting to go through this again. He wanted to convince himself that it might be mood swings or something of that nature, but upon seeing Cody's medication untouched and with the same amount of pills, he slowly came to the horrifing realization that Cody was spiraling again.

Seojun anxiously paced around the apartment, the first time this happened ended up in total disaster and back then Seojun didn't have much experience dealing with these kinds of things. But now, he had more experience with dealing with Cody's mental breakdowns and body issues. But right now, he had to figure out how to confront him about this.

As he was gathering his thoughts, the sound of the door opening and shutting.

Seojun jolted and turned around as Cody walked into the living room, taking off his jean jacket and smoothing out his hair with his fingers

Seojun blinked before forcing a smile: Hey babe.

Cody: Hey...

Cody sighed and walked to Seojun before giving him a quick hug: I'm going to change...

Seojun: Isn't it a bit early for that?

Cody was silent for a moment: This shirt is uncomfortable.

Seojun: Ok...Call me if you need me.

Cody smiled before heading off into their bedroom, leaving Seojun alone.

A while later, Seojun finally stood at the door, now with a cleared mind and mustered up courage. With a deep breath, Seojun grabbed the knob and turned it slowly, opening the door.

Cody stood in front of the mirror, tugging and fiddling at the fabric of his oversized T-shirt. Seojun slowly entered the room and trudged to where Cody was, in hopes not to startle him. He softly grazed his back, making the blonde flinch.

Seojun: Hey, Blondie.

Cody: Mhm?

Seojun planted a kiss on Cody's head and motioned them to their bed: Let's sit down, I want to talk to you about something.

Cody hummed and followed him to the bed, a slight smile forming as he laced his fingers his Seojun's.

Seojun: Okay, I want to talk to you about how you were acting during this week. Now, don't take this personally and get upset, I just want to help.

Cody shifted uncomfortably: Ok... What is it?

Seojun breathed before meeting Cody's gaze: Cody, I noticed that you seem to be regressing back into your old behaviour. You've been barely getting any sleep nor eating much and I found your medication was barely touched. I'm really worried about you and I want you to be okay.

Cody was silent and rested his head onto Seojun's shoulder, unsure what to say.

Seojun: Cody, please tell me what's wrong. I don't want history to repeat itself and I want to make sure you're okay.

Cody: ...I might've stopped taking my medication.

Seojun stared at him in shock before holding the boy close: Cody, why would you do that?

Cody: I don't know... I'm just... Burnt out I guess...

Seojun brushed a single hair from his face: Was it school again? You know it's okay to take a break.

Cody buried himself deeper into Seojun's shirt: I know! I know it's just everythings been piling up and I keep slipping up on things-

Tears pricked his eyes and his voice cracked: Oh God! Why do I keep on doing this!?

Seojun held Cody close as the boy sobbed into his shirt, rubbing small circles onto his back: Sshh... It's okay, I understand. Tell you what, you should get some sleep and when you wake up, I'll go make you some food. How does that sound?

Cody sniffed and nodded, making Seojun smile.

Cody snuggled into the bedsheets and smiled as Seojun climbed in next to him.

Cody: Mmm... This feels nice.

Seojun: Yeah, Blondie. That's why you should get some sleep right now.

Cody hummed and snuggled closer to him: Hey Seojun, thanks for checking up on me, sorry that I had to put you through that.

Seojun: Of course, I don't want to see you hurt again and you should know that I'm always here for you.

Cody: Hm... Goodnight, Junibear.

Seojun: You too, Blondie.

For Nyumal traditional wear (at least for Golah), I wanted something familiar but different, so I'm combining Nigerian (primarily Yoruba), Chinese, and Indian traditional wear.

I'm thinking that this is more traditional, but I also have ideas for modern clothes based on African American street wear from the 90's/2000's!
