me, breaking into your house in the middle of the night and crawling into your bed: honestly eps3.7_dont-delete-me.ko of mr. robot is one of the most important episodes of television of all time it not only spends its run time respectfully honoring trenton and mobley and allowing the audience to mourn the deaths of two beloved characters it gives elliot a chance to face his mental illness head-on while representing suicide as a quiet menial process before filtering elliot’s experience through that of a young muslim boy who changes elliot’s perspective just enough to allow him to discover a modicum of will and meaning in his life that he then attempts to pass on to angela who has been isolated and brainwashed all the while showing us, the audience, that it’s the tiniest things in life that matter and are worthy of holding on to and fighting for

If mastermind/elliot forgetting who he was wasn't part of the original plan and mr robot is devoted to the original plan, why does he actively try to prevent Elliot from remembering for 4 seasons?

season 4 scene here

We were never gonna get your standard "out on a date" shit and that makes sense because it would've been trite and reductive-

-but sometimes I still like to imagine Will and Hannibal sitting outside some fancy little café at some fancy little table in some wide-open metropolitan square in Europe, watching all the people walking by and analyzing them together. Taking turns telling little stories to each other about the ones that look the most interesting to them. Will particularly likes to extrapolate about anyone who's got a dog, guessing what the dog's name is and why, what the relationship between dog and owner is like. Do they let the dog up on the furniture, what do they feed it, why did the person decide to get a pet and why a dog specifically, etc. Hannibal's all business about the whole thing given his history as a therapist, but occasionally he'll let himself lapse in that a little bit and make up some ridiculous tale that he knows will get Will to smile at him and maybe even laugh - as much as he prefers realism and accuracy, and as much as that can also amuse Will, he still has a great sense of humor and knows how to use it.

You know, just as a treat for myself.

I've been thinking about my own version of a Season 4, based on this opening scene I posted once.

In short, I would want it to revolve around the concept of boundaries, more precisely the need to establish one's own path while being joined at the hip with somebody else.

We have seen Will commit murder in the show, but we've barely seen him commit to his design. Post-Fall he'll have to compose for himself, becuase he won't stop killing and he won't agree with every victim of Hannibal's choosing.

Their conflict derives from this so now we have these two men, learning to adjust their lives in more ways than one. They have to juggle the fledgling murder aspect and the fledgling intimacy of a new relationship that now are both based on compromise.

Will, even if it wasn't the most genuine marriage, has a bit more experience in the invested relationship department while Hannibal has worked as the guide in Will's journey towards Becoming since day 1. They work on reciprocity and exchanges.

Now for plot points:

A new killer, kind of a fan, whose murders are based around sewing people together i order to offer them closeness. Inspired by the Junji Ito's "Army of One" in terms of design. This killer becomes fascinated by Will & Hannibal's bond and wishes to elevate it to new levels of oneness

Disagreements regarding Hannibal's promise to Alana. I do think Will would oppose it and I do think Hannibal would insist on it after everything. You get from this some lovely compromises such as "If dear Alana is not available for dinner, then would the former Mrs. Graham be?" and Will's realisation that Hannibal went through with his plan to eat Bedelia's leg so soon after the fall to get leverage over Will when this subject inevitably crosses their conversations

Alana & Margot being cautious, yet on their trail the entire time as Will & Hannibal seem to meet agents sent by them everywhere they go, thus forcing them to abandon their safehouse in Cuba and travel all over the world ( eventually each returning to the places where they grew up and opening up about their pasts to each other )

Flashback scenes to Bedelia at the dinner scene with her claiming Hannibal will erode Will's souls whether he intends it or not and Will figuring out his design in the secluded places of his Mind Palace is it continues to merge with Hannibal's

Turns out the reason they are safe after the fall is Chiyoh's intervention, which Hannibal planned, even if the details of how they'd get to her ( a.k.a The Fall ) were not expected. The season ends with Will striking a deal with the new killer to protect Alana & Margot, pretending he'll hand Hannibal over to him on a silver platter. Hannibal and this killer end up going at each other hard. Both are heavily injured and that's when Will shows up. He murders this new killer, and positions him as a peace offering for Marlana. Hannibal realises he's been played as Will nurses him back to health

The progression of their intimacy is shown through their homes. At the start of the season, they are standard, they receive no addition. As the season and the tension between them progresses their places look more and more lived in but their things seem to be at war. At times, Hannibal's touch is everywhere, othertimes Will's is. The ending features them living in a small apartment, but one that reflects both their tastes tangled harmounisly, yet distinguishably.

i just finished watching hannibal yesterday and from what i’ve seen so far, everyone thinks the “is your social worker in the horse?” is hilarious, which it is

but what’s funnier i think is that after Will and what’s his name leave, Hannibal walks up to the horse, stares at it for a second like “hummmm that guy is definitely still alive in there” and then just. walks away. to go pet a sheep.

and then when the social worker finally gets out, Hannibals just like “oh hello😁 nice of you to join us😁” this motherfucker KNEW he was alive and just went “whatever man. not my problem. this is a really fucking weird day” and i think that’s SO FUNNY
