A solo piece featuring the eleventh doctor

Sneaking out of the Tardis, like two naughty school children skipping class, the Doctor and River grabbed their coats and quickly rushed out of the blue doors laughing.

"Right, do you have your…"

"Sweetie you should know by now I never leave home without it" She replied raising her arm to show him the vortex manipulator strapped firmly to her wrist.

"Excellent" He replied rubbing his hands together before grabbing her hand and pulling her wrist over towards him. Pulling out his sonic screwdriver he pointed it at the manipulator as she gazed back over her shoulder to make sure they weren't being followed.

"Oh do hurry up because if Mother Dear catches us you know she will either stop us going or will want to come along with us"

Gazing up at her the Doctor shook his head "Oh no, no, no she is not coming both her and the nose are staying here" After a couple more seconds he placed his Sonic back into his pocket. "Okay we are all ready to go" He said grinning. "Are you ready for a night of fun River Song?"

"Oh I am always ready for a night of fun with you Doctor"

As the words left her lip they vanished from in front of the Tardis just as the door swung open.

Appearing slightly down a long drive that led up to where some loud music was playing River burst out laughing.

"Well at least this time we landed on solid ground" She teased as she linked her arm into his and the two began to make their way up the drive.

"Once, one time I landed us in a pond and you still won't let me live it down" He replied smirking over at her.

"To right I won't let you live it down. Do you know how much those shoes cost that got ruined that night" Nudging him playfully she tried her best to fight back a laugh.

"I got you some replacements didn't I?" He asked nudging her back as the music began to get louder.

"Yes you did and I thank you very much for doing so considering they were my favourite pair"

"Well then you better drop this topic or else the next time you're wearing them I'll transport us into the middle of the ocean" He turned to look at her grinning as they they both burst out laughing.

Pulling her arm out of his she gave him a salute "Yes sir subject dropped"

As they reached the bottom of a large set of stairs they began to make their way up only to be stopped by security

"Invitation please" The man in a black suit requested.

"Yes let me see" The doctor said as he began to search his pockets, "I know I have them somewhere here on me"

Shaking her head River turned to face him and leaning over she reached into his inside pocket and pulled out two pieces of paper and handed them over to the man.

Looking at both bits of paper then up at the doctor and River he looked back down at the paper "They look in order," He said handing them back to the doctor "You can both go in"

"Thank you," The doctor said as he held his arm out to River. "Shall we"

Linking her arm back into his they made their way up the rest of the stairs. As they entered the building she leaned in and whispered "So who exactly did he think we are?" she asked

Turning the paper to face himself he let out a laugh "Seemingly we are Lord and Lady Smith."

Letting out a little laugh she shook her head. "You've got to love psychic paper when you want to get into an exclusive event"

Placing the paper back into his pocket he looked over at her. "So knowing we are a lord and a lady and looking at the way this building is decorated do you have any idea whose wedding reception we are about to crash"

Letting out another laugh she unlinked her arm from his so she could take a look all around them. "We it's obviously someone of high status" As a waiter made his way over to them with a tray filled with glasses of champagne they both took one. Taking a sip from her glass she continued "Oh that's top shelf stuff so obviously someone of importance"

Before she could say anything else he slipped his free arm around her waist and using his hand with the glass in he pointed over into one of the rooms off to the side. "Does that help give you a clue" his smirk growing.

Looking over at where he was pointing her eyes grew wide, "Is that?"

Nodding his head he let out a chuckle "Yes it is"

"You do know if we get caught we are likely to be killed"

"Oh come now that's a bit of an exaggeration. I don't think England haven't had an execution for a long time" Taking a drink from his glass, he continued "Worst-case scenario we get thrown into the tower"

She had just taken a sip of her drink when he spoke which made her almost choke as she began laughing "You are wicked"

"Only occasionally and only with you" he smirked. "Speaking of wicked which would you rather do, follow the sound of the music and join the party or go explore the building see if we can find the queens bedroom"

"Like you have to ask" Downing her glass she placed the empty one down on the tray of a waiter who was walking past them and grabbed another two full ones off the tray. Handing one of the glasses over to the doctor.

Downing what was left in his first glass he placed it on the floor near the large red velvet curtains that were draped against the wall. Taking the full glass from River he clinked his glass against hers "Well then I think we should go looking down that hallway just past the room the queens in. See if the stairs that lead up are down that way" Holding his arm back out to her she smiled as she linked her arm once more with his and they began their way down the hallway.

They had spent a good three hours wandering around and exploring a multitude of rooms before they were caught and escorted back down to the party. After a few more drinks and both of them strutting their moves on the dance floor they exited the building and made their way carefully down the stairs.

"Can I order you both a car sir" The security man who had let them in asked

"No no it's quite alright we are just going to walk as it's not to far,"

"Okay sir and madam have a good night"

"Thank you" River said as she smiled over at him then linking her arm back into the Doctors they began their way down the driveway in anything but a straight line.

Waiting till they were out of sight of anything and one, the doctor took her wrist once more and pulled out his sonic screwdriver. "Where to next Lady Smith"

"Well Lord Smith" She said through laughter, "I think we need to go somewhere that you can get me a big giant teddy bear so while you're off traveling here there and everywhere I have something to keep me company"

Nodding his head "Yes your ladyship. How about a funfair state-side somewhere?"

"Yes" She said pointing her free hand at him "You can show me your skills while you win me the teddy thats much better than buying one"

"Agreed"

After a few minutes the two vanished from the driveway and into a parking lot next to a funfair. Both of them filled with laughter and alcohol, they made their way through the gates.

"Aggghhh it's rigged," He said throwing his arms in the air after he failed to win anything for the sixth time.

"Yes it's rigged not that you're drunk and just missing" River laughed as she gave the man stood at the game some cash and picked up the gun. "Here let me show you how it's done," She said taking aim.

Each shot missing he began to laugh "Guess you're too drunk as well" He laughed out.

"No you were right in the first time. It's rigged"

Both looking at each other and as if reading each other's minds they both nodded their heads at the same time. If the games were rigged then they didn't have to play fair. Finding a game that he could use his Sonic on to help him he gave the woman running the game some money. It didn't take long for him to not only win the largest teddy they had but several smaller ones which they handed out to little children that were there as they made their way back to the parking lot.

Checking his watch he frowned. The look on his face said it all.

"Oh no do we have to go back?" She asked

"Yes we do if we want to get back before the in-laws wake up"

"Fine lets go then" She said thrusting her wrist toward him the best she could with her arms still filled with teddies.

As he struggled to get the sonic out of his pocket she couldn't help but laugh and after a few angry words he finally put his sonic back and the two vanished from America and reappeared back in front of the Tardis.

Pushing open the door they both stumbled in laughing.

"And just where the hell you two been?"

As they both raised their heads there sat on the stairs on the Tardis were Amy and Rory. Rory looked like he would rather be tucked up all cozy in his bed but Amy had a look on her face that let them both know they were in trouble.

"Mommy dear we went to get you a surprise," River said holding out a couple of teddys at her in hope that they wouldn't get shouted out to much as the alcohol was beginning to wear off a little and her head was starting to hurt.

Taking the teddies from River Amy sighed and pointed up the stairs. "Bed now both of you and we will talk about later"

"Yes mommy dear" River said as walked past Rory on her way up the stairs "Night father"

"Night" Rory said still not fully awake

Yes marm," The doctor said placing one hand on Rorys head to balance himself as he began to walk up the stairs.

Standing at the top of the stairs River waited for him to join her and as the two vanished out of sight the sound of their giggles echoed back into the console where Amy stood looking totally unimpressed with it all.

‘River had sent her daughter a message through the physic paper she knew her daughter slipped from her fathers pocket before leaving the Tardis.

This is not the first time Jessica found herself on Gallifrey, but certainly the first time where it was still whole, before the war broke, before the CyberMasters, before the empty space that used to hold the home of her Fathers people.

She stands on the outside, looking at the message, wondering if both her Father and Mother know she’s here.

Or perhaps they’re both here. Or maybe just maybe a version of River is here without the Doctor.

But that just makes more questions than answers.

The physic paper changes it’s message, before it read ‘Hello Sweetie’ now it reads coordinations to a room within the Citadel.

She begins to make her way there.’

Okay, so I am pleased with the outcome of this piece, I know myself there could be much well improved, however I drew this on my phone with my finger, but one day I’ll have an updated version once I invest in a better tablet and get a pen for it, thinking of the iPad of course I’ve done much research and had some advice on which would be better for drawing.

Anyhow, I hope you enjoy. I haven’t posted in a while.

I’d like to think Jess is still in Stormcage and just likes to come out now and then I have yet to finish that area of her for a reason.

So I have three versions so far (such an outnumbered amount but I have to post all three as I don’t know which to really choice. So don’t mind me.

Headcanon:

River is doing her normal routine of stealing the TARDIS out from under the Doctor’s nose and one day she walks in and finds a new desktop which isn’t weird because she’s seen a lot of desktops stealing the Doctor’s TARDISes, so she writes it off as another notch on her TARDIS stealing belt and carries on about her business.

But when she lands (with the brakes off, of course) she’s confronted with a woman who emerges from somewhere in the ship with a severe case of bedhead and dressed in jammies, who demands to know why she’s flying the TARDIS when she’s clearly not the Doctor.

River’s like, OMG I don’t have time for this I have important illegal timey wimey shit to do but the Doctor’s latest companion is like, oh hells no we’re having this conversation right now as I follow you to do whatever illegal scheme you’re about to enact, and naturally they get into a buttload of trouble together.

Two days later (which is only a hot half-second after River stole the TARDIS because she’s A Bomb Driver), River returns the TARDIS and companion, unharmed (mostly), and disappears to cause trouble somewhere else in the universe. The companion flops down in the pilot seat and stares mischievously at the time rotor and flashes her hand complete with a sparkly ring on it.

“Took her long enough. I warned her I’d notice next time. Still, second wife achievement: unlocked.”

Ahh, another day, another adventure. Well, well, Cybermen you’re no match for Jessica Song, well…. I mean after capturing me, keeping me hostage too lure the Doctor himself in, and try and ‘take over’ the world again. After hooking me up to some machines too turn me Cyber (if I had a fiver every time a cyber man wanted to try that I’d be rich ish) and it not working out. Forgetting to actually see if I had any ‘weapons’ too speak. Ahh, my trusted sonic. Mm. Managed to get out. Take out one of the Cybermen. And get back to the Tardis well, the Tardis arrived just in the Nick ay time. Just me rocking up with a cyber head. Trying to scan the orders too see who originally sent out the order to take me.

Mum and Dad we’re not so slightly pleased, well Dad more than mum. He didn’t approve too much of me taken out one Cyberman on my own ‘it’s two dangerous’ he said. You mean dangerous for the Cyberman since he’s in my arms?

Mum is secretly proud I managed to get away, not hurt. On my own. But agrees with Dad in ‘I should have waited till they arrived’ what? For myself too might have been a Cyber by then? Or for them to do what I did ? Get out. And away. I took down the Cyberman for one reason only. For data, information. That we can use. Too stop the rest. And that is exactly what we did.

Win win for the Songs. Zero for the Cybermen, AGAIN!

And let’s be honest? Dad is secretly also proud of his little girl!
