Firebrand x Observer fic...perhaps....? ....enemies to lovers perhaps.....?

OKAY SO-

I kinda went all out with this from pure excitement, I posted some small headcanons before the story so I hope that’s alright. I’m sorry this got out so late, I completely lost my motivation to do any writing but I finally got back to it, I hope this isn’t bad

TWS AND OTHER THINGS: Small mentions of the rake, mentions of blood and fighting, not completely canon, aspects of the slenderverse being tied together

WORD COUNT: 627 words, 3,536 characters (sorry that it’s short, I didn’t know what else to write and didn’t want make the headcanons too long)

SOME QUICK HEADCANONS (KINDA HELPS ADD TO THE PLOT)

- These 2 could be complete polar opposites of each other but yet so similar at the exact same time. Like Observer could be so chaotic and Firebrand could level headed one and vice versa

-BLOODY FIGHTS BLOODY FIGHTS!! Like, two weird entities being enemies is not going to be all happy happy joy joy, there’s 100% going to be fights and some blood will probably be spilled

- I believe Firebrand can be very territorial over some areas of the forest so small fights and arguments would 100% ensue if Observer stepped anywhere near those certain parts of the forest

- Despite the fact that they are ‘sworn enemies’ , I like to believe that they both take enjoyment in messing with Habit when they have the time. That’d also be what would get them closer

- After all the times they mess with Habit, they’d start hanging out more and more even if they weren’t messing with Habit before things started to get more lovey dovey

- Firebrand would 100% be confused and wondering how the hell it happened once he realizes that he had gained feelings for Observer, his enemy, while Observer on the other hand would be like ‘Oh, that’s new’ and not very confused about it

-I feel like Observer would sorta realize that Firebrand has some kind of feelings and purposely mess with Firebrand about said feelings, both in a way to show his own feelings and just ‘tease’ Firebrand

THE FIC

Crimson blood droplets dripped onto the crumbled up leaves of the forest, a bit of a battle between inhuman beasts fueled solely by their rivalry. The blood would likely tempt a beast, The Rake, if it was nearby but lucky was on their side, it wasn’t around to witness the rivalry. This battle had happened when Observer had strayed too far from the Bridge To Nowhere, leading over to where Firebrand tended to stay. “I thought I told you not to come over here, especially not when I don’t want to deal with you..” A voice finally broke the silence, Firebrand being the first to speak up. “Now that isn’t the way I thought to be welcomed, no wonder people call you The Stubborn.” Observer hissed back out in retort, a slight pause in his words as he thought of something before continuing on with his sentence. He didn’t even give Firebrand the chance to angrily reply, cutting off Firebrand’s words for the quick instant. “Besides, I just thought we should have a nice little chat about how we feel about one another, maybe help you deal with all that anger.” The words that had escaped from Observer wasn’t anything that Firebrand expected to come out of the other party, confusion spreading through Firebrand’s mind as he wondered for the quick second, if Observer had known something, anything, about how he was feeling. “You’re my enemy, I hate you and you hate me. There’s nothing else to be discussed on that topic.” A brief chuckle had left Observer as he slightly shook his head, taking a few strides over to Firebrand with a wide smirk that never left his face. “Oh Firebrand, you know that isn’t the whole truth. You’re just lying to ignore your feelings aren’t you? Running away from the fact you know you feel something else about your enemy, isn’t that exactly what you’re doing? That or maybe you’re just too stubborn to admit you can feel any emotion beside anger, especially an emotion like love.” A pause of silence immediately filled the surroundings and it seemed like the world had stopped for those few moments, everything was so deafeningly quiet. “You..couldn’t understand what I feel, how I feel.” “Oh but I can-”

“Because I feel the same way, about you..”
