apparently it’s my first year on tumblr so here are some overdue head cannons

- Danse could sleep in his power armor. In fact, he has. Completely upright nonetheless.

- Deacon loves the USS Constitution for some reason. He refused to tell Sole why. Be it the rockets or the history, he loves it.

- Gage knew Nisha under a different name. For the first few years after he left the settlement, he went by other names to avoid being sent back. He ran into Nisha when he switched from Caravan hand to raider. She didn’t remember him.

- Hancock knew Nick while growing up. He smoked his first cigarette on the ‘roof’ of Nick’s agency after stealing a pack of cigarettes laying around.

- MacCready has almost all the issues of Grognak the Barbarian. The only one he’s missing is the one Nate got the day before the bombs dropped. He also has all of the Unstoppables.

- Nick doesn’t sleep, but gets these little crashes when he’s been working too hard for a long period of time. Hence why Ellie wants Sole to help with cases.

here we go again

yet again, I speculate about the character who is only mentioned within Fallout 4- here’s what Cutler as a companion would look like if he survived the mutant hive.

You can find him working with Danse in Cambridge Police Station, and accompanies both of you to Arc-Jet and the Prydwen. It would be that you get a choice who you want to take as a companion, but for BOS missions you can take em both and have a whole wall of power armour to protect you :)

Equipped with T-60b power armour with Knight paint- but you can command him out of it (gasp) Wields a laser rifle, but in major battles has a Gatling laser. Can take less damage than eg. Danse or Curie but can also access terminals up to the Expert level. Gifts you scrap that can be sold for a decent amount of caps or repurposed for materials.

Perk: Brothers in Arms

15% more damage while travelling with any companion that is neutral or allied with the BOS/ Minutemen

important- Blind Betrayal

you can take him along with you for BB and he has a lot of unique dialogue. Will absolutely hate both agreeing to executing and killing Danse- there’s a hard level speech check to make him stay after carrying out Maxson’s orders, being removed as a companion if you fail. If Danse ends up dead and Cutler stays with you, he’ll have a vendetta not for the BOS but for Maxson, and will confide in you his desire to see the man dead. If you bring him to the Prydwen, he'll approach Arthur, verbally berate him and drive a switchblade into his throat. This makes him (but not you) enemies with the faction; you’ll also notice he wears Danse‘s holotags after the mission.

supportive of Danse despite him being a synth, if anything caring more to protect him from their enemies. Remains allied with the Brotherhood if he lives, but more timid/ less of a personality with them

likes:

Kind decisions, being generous

anything in favour of the brotherhood/ Minutemen (loves)

Not using violence when applicable

aiding Danse (loves)

sarcastic dialogue choices

hacking unowned terminals

dislikes:

Being kind towards supermutants (hates)

helping the Institute (hates)

unjust cruel action (have a reason next time)

Being harsh in dialogue

lockpicking

pro-institute choices

neutral on synths, ghouls, the Railroad etc. isn't as extremist with the Brotherhood’s views as most soldiers, and believes more in Lyons' core beliefs than Maxson's.

Keeps the best interests of Commonwealth civilians at heart, will not show prejudice to most and is kind/ trusting in manner. Him and Danse have banter while travelling/ in settlements together, and possibly non-romanceable because why not, let's have a couple where one isn't dead.

- Gage purrs when he’s happy/content. you must be ‘together’ or he won’t do it. fucking fight me

- Hancock has thrown multiple parties where people have died. just sayin. there’s a solid chance you might be next

- Deacon can and will cuddle you if he feels comfortable enough with you. he’ll do it randomly too

- MacCready feels intimidated and jealous if you can shoot better than him, even if he doesn’t really have a reason to be

- human Nick loved lounging in pj’s when he didn’t have a client in his space and you can catch him still doing it quite frequently
