I love the fact Leo is the leader in the zodiacs. I can hear Aries's jealousy from a far. Also, he reminds me of Loke from Fairy Tail who is also the leader of the Zodiacs.

But Leo is more interesting than Loke

It's funny because Leo was always going to be one of the main two characters and it's mostly because he was inspired by my grandmother, who is a Leo. She's very family oriented and the head of the family. However, it wasn't until I watched fairy tail that it dawned on me that I never considered the fact that there should be a leader for the zodiacs as it's a team. Since Leo was already one of the main two characters I made him the leader + of what happens in the story that fit better.

Initially, however, before I made this choice Aries was the leader but due to me doing more research and realizing how erratic Aries's personality was it didn't seem like a good idea to have him as a leader also the fact that Zeus would do everything in his power to get him to not be the leader of the zodiac, most for personal reasons.

So, in that aspect, his position was inspired by Loke, but they are completely different character-wise and even personality-wise.

Aries and Leo while they are best friends they are complete opposites, but this is like any relationship really, in the beginning, you guys can be similar but over time can change because lives can be different, but that doesn't mean you stop being their friend. However, that also doesn't mean resentment or other feelings cant grow as well.

Aries is more prone to being hot-headed and angry, nor does he actually think stuff through, impulsive. Aries enjoy killing and fighting, for Leo it's more of an instinctual thing as he is technically a Lion and those deep-rooted animalistic behaviors show. He can also be silly, exaggerate things, and be dimwitted. He basically has two brain cells and they're fighting each other. Leo on the other hand if it has nothing to do with Herakles he's very tactical, organized, and can read the room. He's a lot more patient than Aries but when he does get angry it's much harder to calm him down than Aries. Leo is very much the fatherly figure type while Aries is along the lines of a dad who tries to be your friend. All in all, they're a giant gap of maturity between the two Leo was quicker at making the gap bigger. Aries's jealousy isn't necessarily due to Leo himself bec he also has feelings of jealousy toward his sister, Athena. He's constantly told she's better than him. Well, if I were in his shoes I would also be jealous or angry, being compared to others constantly isn't a good feeling.

#(P.S: I don't like fairy tail mostly bec there is a lot of writing tropes within the story that I absolutely hate and on top of that they ne #they're just kinda there. It's the “idea of them” rather than anything more #you don't know if they're based off of the myths or astrology personalities as they do a bit of both kinda not really #or if they are just like any other character with the title of the zodiac but then at that point what's the point??? #idk big ich. it's the same with any other zodiac-themed anime they're just “there” and never expand on them and it drives me nuts) #astrite #original comic #zodiac #original character #zodiac signs #anime #original #ask me stuff #asks open #ask box #doodle #comic #leo #aries

in ur own opinion and without being biased, which abilities/power do you like out of the 12 zodiacs? if its fine could u do a ranking of the 12 zodiacs in terms of their abilities? like for example 1. would be aries bc hes ares 2. would be leo and etc. in my case, my 1 would be scorpio because pain supression seem so interesting, he can die before he even noticed hes bleeding to death because he cant "feel" the pain

That's a good question hmm this took me a while to answer since I had to think about it.

Sagittarius, it's a combo of his vast knowledge but also patients to teach which can be very difficult and not an easy thing, that I heavily admired and respected. I would love to just hear him talk about a bunch of stuff he knows or stories he heard of.

Aquarius, his learned ability to be technologically literate, and his coding and understanding of those languages. I admire and like that as I've always wanted to learn to code and do cool stuff but I'm just not good at that. I can at most tinker with already-made code or do small commands.

Capricorn, it was a tie as I like his power "Fearful Voice" like all he needs to do to induce mass panic is simply whisper at minimum, and "music magic" when he attacks or needs to do spells he uses his pan flute.

Pisces, Omnilingualism, the idea that you can speak any language fluently just from hearing it is really cool.

Libra, Truth Inducement, just from one look can force you to tell the truth and nothing but the truth is scary and interesting.

Virgo, Hypercompetence, I like this because I have the focus of a 2-year-old with ADHD. So, good for her I admire it a lot.

Gemini, air manipulation, they can fly technically and I've always liked characters that could fly it's very "freeing" despite being very scared of heights.

Leo, impenetrable skin, I like that he's p immune to all weapons but then weak to a choke hold since while his skin is impenetrable according to his myth it implies his insides are not. That's funny.

Cancer, his regeneration, I think it's cool you can just have your whole arm ripped off and then pop its back like nothing happened.

Scorpio, poison manipulation, I like that because if I wasn't an artist, I would have tied to be a toxicologist.

Taurus, his massive fucking boobs.

Aries, fire manipulation, fire is p cool tbh not much to say. Also, him being Ares is just him having the ability to start fights on a mass scale lmao

I'm a little curious on Ophiuchus. Since you don't follow astrology like the past arts, is he a wannabe to the zodiacs or helps the gods like everyone else?

I love his old bio along with his relationship with Sagittarius. He's a precious baby and I can't wait to see his appearance or cameo in the comic if he does get a role no matter is minor or not （╹◡╹）♡

No, he's not a 'wanna-be' zodiac, in fact, he doesn't care to be and never thought to be. As described in Greek mythology, the constellations were mostly god-favored heroes and beasts who received a place amongst the stars as a memorial of their deeds. So in other words all constellations are equal, in theory, there are still bias's among the gods with them.

His real name is Asklepios, and Apollo and Coronis are his parents however Coronis died giving birth to him and apollo was kinda like, well basically an absentee father only occasionally there, but he was busy so he couldn't be around and asked Chiron aka Sagittarius if he could in his stead, Sagittarius agreed as Apollo did when Sagittarius was abandoned by his parents. So, Aesculapius was raised by Sagittarius. Sagittarius was his adoptive father and as his mentor would instruct him in the art of medicine, Both were very close as both had similar interests. He grew so skilled in the craft that he was able to restore the dead to life. This was a crime against the natural order and so Zeus destroyed him with a thunderbolt.

After his death, Asklepios was placed amongst the stars as the constellation Ophiuchus ("the Serpent Holder"). Asklepios' apotheosis into godhood occurred at the same time. He was the physician of the gods and the god of doctors and medicine (he's not actually a god by birth, he's a demi-god technically but turned into a minor god when he became a constellation like Herakles.) He helps the gods/constellations and heals them when they get injured in their realms, specifically. However, rarely goes to earth nor does Zeus want him to, as stated, since the last time he was alive, he figured out how to bring the dead back to life - he basically figured out necromancy. So, he's banned from being around dead anything/ graveyards/ could-potentially-die-humans.
