it’s okay, tomorrow brought a new day.

releasing you, I released the negative energy, and that right there the moment of clarity like a breath of fresh air was the best thing I had ever felt.

it wasn’t ever my burdens that were to heavy,

it was yours, and that is something I no longer have to live with.

Who she was & who she is.

She had dandelions dancing in the sky,

Capturing every moment that goes by.

She kept memories forever,

never willing to surrender

She looks back,

Heart about to crack.

She wishes she could be her again,

Her own best friend.

The one who laughed like she didn't care,

Who danced in the mirror with out carrying the look of despair.

Did I romanticize sadness for so long?

she felt like she’d never belong

Did I lose my strength?

Am I no longer someone I love ?

why do I fill my head with this stuff

No it can't be,

I'm still that girl you see.

I just have scars I bare,

no one sees them, so i pretend I don’t care.

I still make dandelions dance in the sky,

Smiling in my car singing my favorite song, cruising, living life.

I've grown,

I hold my own.

I am stronger than before,

The old me can't be restored.

She never left she’s just grown

finally coming into her own

She is ready to come back out,

Her mind no longer filled with doubt.

She said,

I didn't leave you for dead.

There was just a lot to work out in your head.

Everyone has their time,

And darling you're doing just fine.

Just believe in me as I do you,

Cause look at all we have been through.

We survived together hand in hand,

You see darling this was only part of the whole plan.

You had to see who you didn’t want to be,

And escape into an unrealistic horrible reality.

It had to suck you in,

To give you the strength to live, and have true self love within .

You act like you have to hold the world on your shoulders, but the world is not for you to hold.

You are who you need to hold, and care for.

You’ve gone through so much war,

Inner, outer - it’s all too painful.

You tear yourself down to make others happy, but you never consider making yourself happy.

That’s what needs to change, and you hold that power in the palm of your hand.

So change it because this world you’re holding up will destroy you.
