To Whom it may concern in the town:

It has come to my attention that there is a rumor going around that I, Elliott, am a vampire. This rumor no doubt started as a joke from origins unknown, although I have my suspicions and the person or persons in question have no room pointing fingers.

I am fully aware that my attire and flamboyancies are uncommon. One might call it a costume rather than day wear, but I am not that one, nor I would I have it any other way.

Yet the most ludicrous notion in all of this is that a vampire would take up residence at such a location! Choosing a town with such a small population where a single missing person would raise alarm bells is poor planning. Furthermore, what kind of vampire lives on the beach? In a shack? A shack which has no curtains? A shack, mind you, near flowing water, and salt water at that! 

In closing, I ask you to think critically about mythology and folklore. There are always rules, and those rules exist for a reason. The caves, for example, or the sewers would make much more sense to house a creature of the night. Perhaps even a basement? But there I go again with my own hypothesises.
