¿Cómo estudiar Anatomía?

Libros que yo recomiendo:

Necesitas un Atlas de Anatomía: no esperes encontrar texto. Un atlas de anatomía es un libro con imágenes de las partes anatómicas que están señaladas por etiquetas. Es esencial utilizar un atlas porque los libros con texto a veces no son muy detallados con esto. Te recomiendo el Atlas de Anatomía Humana de Netter o el Prometheus. Los dos son muy buenos, pero debes elegir dependiendo del estilo que te guste. El Netter es un poco más artístico, y el Prometheus más realista. (En mi Instagram les dejaré algunas fotos para que vean los formatos de los libros - @medstudblrr).

También necesitas un Libro de Texto: te recomiendo el Pro de Anatomía Clínica o Anatomía Clínica de Moore. Estos dos libros son los que yo usé en mis primeros semestres y la verdad, ambos son muy buenos. Las ilustraciones en el Moore son más bonitas, pero el Pro tiene tablas de músculos en donde puedes ver de manera ordenada la inserción y los orígenes de los músculos, pares craneales, etc. así como su función y eso ayuda muchísimo a estudiar. Ambos tienen una buena aplicación clínica.

No importa si vas a leer para anatomía o cualquier otra materia, te recomiendo acercarte a la biblioteca de tu universidad para ver cuáles tienen disponibles. Los libros de medicina son muy costosos.

2. La práctica es tan importante como la teoría: no solo es importante estudiar de los libros, si tu universidad te da la oportunidad de trabajar en el anfiteatro con cadáveres, ¡aprovéchala!. Los libros de Anatomía son muy bonitos y hasta llegan a ser artísticos, como en el caso de los Atlas, pero la anatomía no se ve así en la vida real. Es importante aprender a distinguir, por ejemplo, entre arterias, venas y nervios. Sí, en la vida real no se ven rojos, azules y amarillos: ¡¡¡TODOS SON DEL MISMO COLOR!!!

3. También, te recomiendo ver videos cada que te sientas saturado. A veces es necesario combinar las estrategias de estudio y a veces es cansado leer todo el ída o intentar memorizarte el Netter completo. Te recomiendo este canal de YouTube:

4. Si necesitas clases además de las que tomas en la universidad, te recomiendo lecturio, y osmosis. Yo he usado las dos y la verdad las dos me gustaron mucho. En Osmosis hay clases explicadas con videos animados y en Lecturio con un profesor que tiene una presentación y lo va explicando, así que te recomiendo escoger dependiendo de lo que más te guste. -> yo actualmente uso osmosis porque me lo proporcionó la universidad, te recomiendo preguntar o pedirle a tu universidad que lo pague como paquete institucional para todos, ya que puede ser costoso pagar la suscripción.

5. Hazte exámenes. Está científicamente comprobado que la técnica de repetición espaciada es lo que más nos ayuda a aprender (si quieren después hago un post hablando sobre esto con más profundidad). Si decidiste inscribirte a osmosis, lecturio o alguna parecida, tienes esa función ¡aprovéchala muchísimo!. Puedes hacerte exámenes, flashcards y quizzes. Si no te quieres suscribir a ninguna, te recomiendo mucho usar Anki o quizzlet. Tu mismo creas tus flashcards y dependiendo de cuánto te costó responder las acomoda para volver a revisarlas en un determinado número de días.

6. ¡Disfruta mucho! Ya lo lograste, ya estás en medicina. ¡¡¡Tu puedes lograr todo lo que sigue!!!

I studied in bed today. Checked off all the things on my list.

day 6 of my studying challenge!:

• are there other languages you learn besides your native langauge? if so, which ones?

yep! i’ve learnt and been learning english, and i am also learning german!! and i duolingo french from time to time. and i studied bosnian for a short time.

-> article reading for my group assignment. we’ll make a presentation on the article and design a teaching material according to the findings in it. i’m excited but the article is a bit hard to read. i hope to finish it today, then we’ll discuss it with my group mates. and sorry for not posting lately. i’ve been dealing with health issues among other things but i’m getting better slowly and hope to post more!

A day about preparing for my exams and gifts shopping (also had a break for coffee at this super cute café ☕💐)

i struggle getting things done on some days. it’s very hard. but i think of how lapsing into habits or behaviors that you thought you’d overgrown is often seen as regressing— but i’ve come to see it as a natural cyclic part of life. like spring and winter, death and rebirth.

✨ coffee ✨ just to say i’m almost done with this semester: there’ll be a project presentation tonight, and there’s a (very cool) project due in two weeks and then that’s it!

The end of classes/preparing for finals is absolutely kicking my ass right now, so I'm repeating to myself the work ethic/words of wisdom that my family instilled in me since I was young.

From my grandfather: "work hard, but not too hard (and always brush your teeth)."

And from my mom: "it doesn't have to be good, it just has to be done."

This next week and a bit will suck but I'm gonna power through it and then it'll be over!
