new beginnings

Hey everyone,this is my last post here. It's been more than seven incredible and inspiring years here on tumblr. And it's also been long overdue, but I have finally managed to set up my new blog. It will now share the same roof with my design portfolio, which I am so exited about. Tumblr, I had a great time, thank you for publishing my messy creative thoughts and giving them a beautiful home.

new shore

News! We have moved! This whole decision making and actually moving went down really fast. On my last post, I had no clue at all. But as sad it is to leave Berlin, I am so happy in our new place here in Bremen. It's airy and sooo sunny, it doesn't even feel like winter time. We've been unpacking and exploring a bit and I am glad, we came here. Also, the sea isn't too far, which is actually the reason why we came. Just kidding. But I am sure, you'll get to see more of water soon enough. But for now, take a moment to relax and sing some carols like oh christmas tree!

from the sketchbook

Just doodles from the sketchbooks. I love notebooks that have different kinds of paper inside, so sometimes I bind them myself ( this one was bought though ). I mostly letter song quotes or random stuff that comes to my mind. Bottom left you see random words concerning trains/trainstations or trainriding. The german language has a lot of long words to offer. I like.

coaster invitation

I designed a coaster and matching adress stickers. It's an invitation for a birthday party. I had coasters on my list of all the things I wanted to design and print. Done and quite happy with the result. What do you think?

Windy times

Yesterday it was kinda windy here in Berlin. I guess everyone smarter than me stayed at home. Guess who found herself in the middle of Tiergarten, when the surrounding trees starting falling? Yep. Haven't been running that fast for a long time. So I better watch the weather channel next time. The blue pictures above are mostly recent pictures from Berlin. The first one was from a Spree Tour via Boat. Hey, being a tourist here can be fun. The last one is taken here in our neighborhood. I like passing that smiley.

it's official

Sadly, summer is over. I can see that very clearly when I look outside, but also on my calendar. Looking back on lots of endless walks by the river and lake, sunny breakfasts on the balcony and millions of icecream cones. Looking forward to a lot of nice hot cup of teas, snuggling on the sofa and collecting chestnuts.

I can't believe it's the end of august already! I don't want the warmer days to be over so soon. That's why I am hoping for and actually decided on a great september. Who isn't? But I must admit, I really do not have any reasons to complain. For instance, we spent the last weekend in Belgium, mostly at the pool, celebrating our friends who got married. So Belgium wasn't really on my top list for summer vacation, but I wonder why. No clouds, endless sunshine and a flamingo floating on top of the pool. oh summer!

calm holidays

With a few stops inbetween we arrived down south and spent some quiet days back at home. We ate great handmade food and met a lot of friends and family and I enjoyed some digtal detox time.

Taking it real slow these days feels so good. We got out of the city for the long weekend, spent it soaking up the sunshine and the fresh breeze. Now back in Berlin and exited about the rest of the summer which is ahead of us. And today, we had the first real summer storm which lots of rain, hail and thunderbolts. And the smell of clean fresh air afterwards I missed so much.

collecting stars

It's been quiet here and for a very good reason. We call ourselves a small little and very happy family of three now. Our daughter had us waiting for too long, so I was able to do a lot of collages in the meantime. Here you go. And numerals always have something to do with counting, waiting, measuring. So this one seems to be the perfect fit.
