Ugh I want my term to start SO BAD. I feel like there isn’t much for me to do after work and I want to learn so bad I crave knowledge nom. like now that i’ve got everything set I cannot WAIT. I also want tater tots but it’s 2am and I cannot justify that when I have work at 8am. life is cruel. are tater tots breakfast appropriate?

I DID IT I GOT MY JOB AS A LIBRARY ASSISTANT!! I DID IT!! Today has been so insane I put in my two weeks at the rat and finally finally I’m gonna work at a library!! I did it!! i’m totally freaking out and so so excited. today has been super productive too as well as the past few days. I’m not totally where I want to be with my routine yet but I suspect that getting a job that doesn’t take advantage of me and drain me of all vitality will help so I won’t come home and just crash. I also finished my school orientation so woo!! student and library assistant!!!

You guys rlly don't realise how much knowledge is still not committed to the internet. I find books all the time with stuff that is impossible to find through a search engine- most people do not put their magnum opus research online for free and the more niche a skill is the less likely you are to have people who will leak those books online. (Nevermind all the books written prior to the internet that have knowledge that is not considered "relevant" enough to digitise).

Whenever people say that we r growing up with all the world's knowledge at our fingertips...it's not necessarily true. Is the amount of knowledge online potentially infinite? Yes. Is it all knowledge? No. You will be surprised at the niche things you can discover at a local archive or library.

approx two seconds from quitting my job guys it’s gonna happen. today was rough but like I was productive at work too much so bc my managers sit around and do nothing and the one who was on today made me basically close everything but kitchen by myself and that is not a one person job. I hurt so bad. but it’ll be okay. tomorrow will be a better and brighter day.

one thing that so many students forget is that, a win is a win. if you planned on doing english homework but instead you finished your history essay, celebrate that, don’t be upset taht you didn’t sick to your plan, at least you got SOMETHING DONE. a win is a fucking win and don’t let anyone tell you different.

April 13th 2024

been a silly goose but I’m back on the grind gang. I am so back. anyways had a wonderful day yesterday with my besties @kiwi-mochipanda and joy who is tumblrless. we did so many fun things for joys bday and got kbqq which was banger and I destroyed that beef brisket like my life depended on it. we also went to the fancy shmancy mall and we all got cute shoes!! today was also wonderful (minus work I had to leave early before I had a meltdown bc our assistant managers do literally nothing all day and the gm can’t fire him his boss has to ughhh) me and @f0xttr0t went brekkie with jake and I just love being outside and eating food with my dog and bestie shit goes hard yk. Then I went to work which was fine customer wise and I love working at cec it’s just that once again the assistant managers do nothing and we were severely understaffed today. my gm is super nice tho and I called him and told him what happened and he said he’d pay me for the rest of my shift since I basically worked 4 jobs at once. but other that, in the words of ice cube, today was a good day.

Btw Israel let Palestinians celebrate not one (1) holiday in peace. They didn’t grant Christian Palestinians access to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, they actively attacked families who were already starving at Iftar during Ramadan, and now there are several reports of families being killed on Eid al-Fitr—a sacred multi-day holiday practiced by lots of Arabs. It breaks my heart imagining the Palestinian families in Gaza right now, most of whom are spending Eid mourning loved ones who were taken by Israeli strikes. Most of us will never understand the sheer magnitude of that pain.
