I expected him to die, yet a part of me is glad that in the end he didn't. Watching his consistent internal war between doing 'good' and doing what makes him happy is a never-ending source of fascination. It only ever takes a slight nudge and he makes the choice that he knows others won't approve of, and he does it every single time.

I often wonder if that's his defiance. After so many years of taking orders, is this his way of railing against the machine? To simply do the things he knows others won't approve of?
