Last sentences written (from Disillusioned):

“Can’t.” Danny shoved his backpack into his locker. “I have to talk to the school counselor.”

Writing was hard today, I had a bit of a traumatizing morning where a foster kitten just very suddenly died. He was running around and playing like normal and then suddenly he started screaming and convulsing and just...died. Like the whole thing lasted maybe a minute and a half, I didn't even have enough time to grab a crate to take him to the vet, he was just gone. I have absolutely no idea what was wrong with him. Maybe a birth defect? Just the most bizarre sudden kitten death I've ever seen. A major shock.

I am only grateful that he hadn't been adopted yet because it would've been awful if someone took him home and then he just suddenly died on them. But he really did deserve a long life with someone who would give him so much love. He was such a sweet little boy and I am beyond devastated.

Devotional for March 27th

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. - Romans 5:8-10

How could love better assert itself and glorify itself than by dying for its enemies, for sinners? Will love now destroy us and give us up to death after we have acknowledged and believed it, and have it dwelling in our hearts? What a pledge of bliss and eternal life has it not given us! Love is our pledge, our hope, our eternal life here by anticipation and hereafter in full enjoyment. Since God sought and found us when we fled from Him, will He flee from us and turn us away when we seek and find Him? Since God effected our atonement at the cost of the blood and death of His Son, shall He again cast us away? Shall He not rather save us, inasmuch as our salvation will glorify His Son’s life and exalt the glory of the Son? Since God has been good to us when we were yet His enemies, shall He reward us with evil after we are become His friends? When we loved sin and served Satan He died for us; will He now slay and destroy us when we love and serve Him? When He loved even unto death those who hated Him, how much more will He not love those who love Him? Let us therefore no more depart from the cross of Christ, that we may learn the love of God and know it in all its greatness and glory. May we learn to love Him, hope and trust in Him.

Jesus! the very thought of Thee With gladness fills my breast; But dearer far Thy face to see.

And in Thy presence rest.

And those who find Thee, find a Bliss Nor tongue nor pen can show: The love of Jesus what it is.

None but His loved ones know.

A pedagógusok lassan egy éve vívnak szüntelenül csatát a kormányzattal, heti rendszerességű sztrájkokkal és polgári engedetlenséggel. A heves tiltakozás ellenére egy éve nem történik változás az oktatás ügyében. Ezen héten országos sztrájkban vesznek részt a tanáraink, kockáztatva ezzel az egzisztenciájukat. Mutassuk meg kiállásunkkal, hogy mellettük állunk!

A tüntetéssel a célunk, hogy Budapest, és az egész ország tudomást szerezzen róla, hogy még mindig itt vagyunk, és ELEGÜNK VAN! KÖVETELJÜK A VÁLTOZÁSOKAT! Emulators!

The days are getting long and time is getting wonky – I want an emulator because I want to play some cool games! 😎

I have been intently researching and thinking about emulators for a few days now and I feel like I want to pull the trigger on a handheld solution soon.

I’m between getting something like Retroid Pocket 3+ or an old android phone with a controller accessory.

The nice thing about an old phone would be that it would have a much nicer screen and slightly better performance. The nice thing about the Retroid is that it is a dedicated handheld.

I had come across emulators before but felt far too intimidated by the setup process to do anything about it, but I’m not in a place that I am willing to put in the work to figure out how to get the gaming console of my dreams (or close to it).

If there’s a chance that I can play so many of my favorite systems – even GameCube and PS2 on the same device – I need to see it through!!

…

Part of the reason I’m interested in securing some sort of gaming situation is to deal with the long days. The days still feel heavy and I feel very little motivation to do anything at all. The only thing that has been giving me excitement is games!

Once I can figure out an emulator situation, I think I’ll spend some time reconnecting with my inner child through games 🥹

Nessa's Lament

She was little then When it all burned down The sound of crackling she could still hear

Currently, she could only see the remains The charred remains of what was How she wished

She could have changed things

She couldn't She was little then And she was fleeing a burning house

She could still hear the sound of crackling Echoing in the winter winds

A memory so hazy and transparent Yet ecthed, engraved in her mind As she looked at the charred remains

She may as well have been looking at her soul What was burned away, ashes in the wind The sound of crackling

Against the winter winds

She lost everything Her home, her family, everything Due to something seeming so innocent

She wished she could have changed things

She didn't know the fire would happen It was a genuinely innocent mistake She was so little then

Currently, all that remain is charred A charred house with shards of her soul Burned to ashes
