We drove yesterday to Arkansas. The weather from Waterloo to St. Louis was horrible. We hydroplaned all over the place, after St. Louis it got better though. I saw this morning that there were a bunch of tornadoes on the west of Iowa starting near DesMoines.

David went this morning to change the back tires of the car and come to find out he had to change all the tires ☹️ who knew!

Now visiting the grandbebe, he’ll go down for a nap at noon then we’ll meet Michael and his girlfriend to eat brunch and then I’ll go to Sophie’s bridal shower.

My sister Zoe did this painting. The angel is a self portrait. The white house in the painting is of my Dad’s parent’s house in Lincoln, Nebraska. I recently posted a painting I did of the house in 1983.

Today I am grateful for DC Young Fly + Cam Newton conversation. They spoke a out grief in a way that was powerful for me to hear in the right now season of my life.

Today I am grateful for the extra hours and days and pay available at this job. This independent contractor work is a great set up for aligned entrepreneurship. There is is $$ available for this next phase that simply requires me to show up.

Today I am grateful for my technology. The streaming services, my new computer, my headphones. Just to create solitude within my private space.

I am grateful for the power in my words.

Today I affirm:

I am heading home

I am calling in resources

I am surrounded by love.
