Get to Know Me
I was tagged by @mangeur-detoiles :D
Relationship status - in a relationship #girlfriend
Favourite colour - green
Lipstick or chapstick - chapstick. most recently, peach or orange lip balm from gal collection
Three favourite foods - butter chicken, chicken and rice dish in a white wine and mushroom sauce that my mom makes, fresh olive and cheese bread made by me
Song stuck in my head - You Are My Soniya from K3G
Last song listened to - All My Exes’ Moms by Brooke Alexx
Last movie I watched - The Little Mermaid (new live action version); technically in the middle of Jodhaa Akbar
Time - 12:40 PM
Dream trip - many places, but Cape Town and Darjeeling would be really cool. Also Athens
Top three shows - The Other Love Story, A League of Their Own, XO, Kitty (these are favorites right now, not ever)
Books I am reading - This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone (so so good, yes as good as that Tumblr post says); 4:50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie (all of her books are comfort reads for me)
How many blankets do you sleep with - one duvet, with an extra blanket on top in winter and limbs hanging off the side of the bed in summer
Last thing I googled - you are my soniya so that I could see where it’s from lol
Random factoid - one reason it’s so hard for adults to learn a new language is that it can be difficult to discriminate between speech sounds in different languages. across a couple of studies, at 6 months, English learning infants were reliably able to discriminate between different speech sounds in Hindi and English, whereas English-speaking adults and 10 month old infants were not.
I’m tagging no one and anyone who wants to do it :)

BIONICLE MENTIONED
You’ve come to semi-the right place, as I am indeed a Bionicle Man.
Though tbh there are more well-read members of the fandom and those who’ve done more fan work than I.

hi guys. after a very long drive home from camden i am finally going to hit it, but first i just have to say... these three shows changed my goddamn life. tourdust toronto, darien, and now camden.
also, when this tour got announced i was admittedly skeptical about the fob x bmth crossover in terms of crowds & whatnot.... guess i'd forgotten how much i truly love mixed bills. this tour rocked.
seeing two bands i've loved for nine freakin years, that have been there with me since i got into the scene pretty much, for, in the case of bmth, the first time ever, and for fob, the first time since way back then in 2014, changed everything for me. i said in a post the other day that live music has the biggest impact on my love for music, and these shows have truly changed how i hear these songs and how close i feel to these bands.
the connections i formed at this tour, both with the bands like i was just saying, like patrick beaming at us whenever we started to do the stardust project thing the second fake out started, or seeming stoked last night that so many folks had been there for multiple shows (and were there at all), or pete shouting out our little pit at darien, or standing right under him fingerpointing & yelling along while he did his crowd thing during what is probably my favorite song ever, and with everyone i had a blast moshing with every night and singing every word with and engaging in (multiple!) fake out row pits and chatting with and exchanging stickers/bracelets with (i thought it was so sweet when pete acknowledged that whole thing last night), are like none other.
in hindsight, i think toronto was my favorite? but i truly had a blast at all of these shows. if there is a second leg, i can't wait. and i'm endlessly stoked for the inevitable bmth us headliner to come soon, too.
i'm so so glad i made the decision to go to that first toronto show at the last minute. that started all of this.
tourdust forever and ever baby!!!!

Delibird Delivery..? Well, really, it's more a Banette dressed as a Delibird that Teleports in- how did she get all the way out here?- with wrapped gifts. Before vanishing back off again, like one of Santa's oddly spooky helpers, she runs to visit the Skornaling egg. In the package is a book with fun facts about different historical time periods and different recipes from those eras! Along with the book is a black baby blanket, embroidered with a skull and bones pattern.
Along with it is a seemingly homemade three-pack of decent-to-comically-bad horror films. The first is called No Man Left Alive, about a medieval knight falling to present day and going on a murder spree to try and return home. The second is called Fallow Fairy Tales, about a group of people in ancient Unova haunted by a powerful Zoroark. The third is a horror spoof on Jurrasic Park called Fossil Fury, with lots of people getting eaten. The package isn't signed and there's no card in sight, but hopefully the Santa should be obvious.
HI JUPETTA- BYE JUPETTA!
Oh- recipes! Historical ones! Yes!! Everyone keeps telling me I should spend more time cooking good food for myself instead of eating nothing but instant curry all the time so this is perfect! I mean there's a coupel of small errors and overgeneralisations in the factoids but you can't really expect much else from pop history-
HORROR MOVIES! Oh YES! I'm going to make Bons watch these with me! He's such a little scaredy Meowth about horror! It'll be FANTASTIC!!
And the blanket is so soft, it'll be great when the egg- what's that noise?
