I've been thinking about gilf Daniel and his referenced history with addiction. what if it wasn't heroin he was addicted to but Armand's blood, like in devils minion/tvl? what if they already had their affair, starting after the interview in the 70s, and he just remembers it as a non-blood substance he was addicted to? the fallibility of memory is a constant theme in s1 after all

also, what if the show sort of combines Daniel's and David's arcs into gilf Daniel and he gets turned late in life (maybe with a fancy new body)?

I'm so sorry to have kept you all waiting on the requests, however I hope that now you see what I've been working on, you might understand why it took some time!! Especially when I've been working on this only in the evening, and while trying to keep my tiny human alive!

When I started this, it was originally a combination of requests/characters I really like! and somehow I ended up with 62 of them!! I'm hoping maybe in the future Ill revisit this, maybe try get 100?! But for now I'm glad to be able to take a break and start on other projects!!

Happy 92nd Birthday veteran Scottish actress Phyllida Law, born on May *8th 1932 in Glasgow.

Wiki has 8th July on the first line of their page on Phyllida, but on the side panel has May 8th, so who knows!?

There is very little about her early life except she was born in Glasgow, the daughter of Megsie “Meg” and William Law, a journalist. She said once of he Glasgow upbringing “When you grow up in Glasgow with a Glaswegian granny, you’re taught that pride is a wicked thing. I still feel a bit like that.“ Phyllida grew up in Glasgow’s west end, just off Great Western Road, but war broke out when she was just seven and she found herself evacuated to places such as Lenzie, in Dunbartonshire, and Skelmorlie, Ayrshire.

That gave her a love for the Scots countryside which means she now splits her life between her home in London and a family cottage in Argyll. Phyllida would fit in well with the Scottish & Proud ethos, in an interview she says:

“I’m passionate about my Scots heritage. How could I not be? I can’t live without it. There’s no way I could live without those hills and it’s got to be the west coast. “I sometimes travel to Edinburgh then go up to Pittenweem or somewhere and I think to myself, ‘This isn’t Scotland.’ It’s a wonderful coastline but it’s not Scotland for me.

“When my parents lived in Glasgow they were always looking for a cottage to which they could retire. They found one in Ardentinney, so I visit that a lot.

She joined the Bristol Old Vic in 1952, from what I can gather she was first in the wardrobe department, the first pic shows her standing, from a 1952 photo. Heron screen acting credits start in 1958 and are very extensive, the pick of them are Dixon of Dock Green and a stint as the storyteller in the great children’s show Jackanory in the 60’s. It must have been during her time in the BBC’s children’s TV department she met her husband to be The Magic Roundabout narrator Eric Thompson, She has previously stated that the character of Ermintrude the cow was modelled on her.

Angels in the 70’s and of course Taggart in the 80’s as well Thomson, the variety series hosted by actress Emma Thompson in 1988, Emma just happens to be her daughter. Heartbeat, Hamish Macbeth and Dangerfield in the 90’s, Waking the dead and Doctors in the noughties has kept her busy, now in her 86th year she has still been appearing on the small screen, in The Other Wife and New Tricks during the past 8 years. Film roles include She is known for her work on Much Ado About Nothing , The Time Machine and The Winter Guest.

Phyllida spends most of her time in Argyll in a house she shares with her daughter Emma. who is spending more time looking after her mother, as she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2915.

Phyllida constantly needs the support of a wheelchair and even assistance when washing due to the effect the condition is having on her.

Due to the progressive nature of the condition, symptoms tend to gradually worsen over time. It is common for individuals to struggle both with walking and talking at the height of the condition.

Phyllida herself spoke about the burdens of looking after an infirm parent, she looked after her mother, Meg who suffered with Alzheimer’s disease. Mego died in 1994 aged 93 after almost 20 years of being cared for by Ms Law at her mother's home in the village of Ardentinny on the west coast, near Dunoon.

Emma said of her mother “Mum is quite lame so it's a case of taking her out in a wheelchair, and making sure she takes her medication. The meds are amazing."

Several reviewers have talked about how episode 5 is not only horrifying, but heartbreaking. One of them said that a certain scene between Jacob & Eric made them cry. So my theory is that Louis killed Alice and she was his final victim in 2000. That's why Louis has sort of been keeping an eye on Daniel throughout the years; he feels guilty and wants to give Daniel this last opportunity to achieve success before they both die (Parkinson's & suicide by vamps)

... possible?

I mean, you're definitely right that the "last victim" likely bears significance. I had not thought of Alice there before, but... could be?!

We know Louis calls Daniel "our boy" so there is a more direct relationship there than they might have in the books.

I'm just not so sure about "success". If Daniel is a Pulitzer Price winner as said then he has had success. And I also doubt they will both die :)

This story is centered around these big four, Daniel, Armand, Louis and Lestat. And I don't think that will change.

The field of post-infectious diseases didn’t (except for ME/CFS) exist prior to the coronavirus. The medical field focused on treating infections – not dealing with their aftermath. Recent studies indicate why that’s not going to fly anymore – and it’s not just because of ME/CFS. It’s because large studies are indicating that a coronavirus infection – whether it’s mild or severe – is upping the risk for all sorts of diseases.

Most of these studies are very large – running into the millions of participants – that rely on electronic health records. They’re comparing the incidence of new diagnoses in people who were infected with the coronavirus with those who weren’t.

Eric Topol recently wrote a blog on the autoimmune implications of COVID-19. Three recently published large studies lead Topol to report a “substantially increased risk of developing a diverse spectrum of new-onset autoimmune diseases.“

The increased risk was not low – a 20-40% increase in the likelihood of coming down with one of these illnesses – and the range of autoimmune illnesses affected was diverse indeed: the studies pointed to dramatic increases in the diagnosis of almost 20 autoimmune diseases. (See blog for the diseases). Since autoimmune disease can take a while to show up after an infection, one can only assume that this number will rise over time.

Other studies have found a marked increase in neurological diseases, including some one might not have thought. Besides things like cognitive disorders, sharp increases in the rates of psychotic disorders, epilepsy, stroke, and parkinsonism as well as others.

Cardiovascular and metabolic diseases have not been as well assessed but increases in asthma, type I and type II diabetes, respiratory diseases, heart failure, and stroke have been seen.

Oddly enough, none of these studies have assessed increased incidences of the one disease long COVID has been most associated with – ME/CFS. Nor have they assessed new diagnoses of fibromyalgia, IBS, dysautonomia, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), or gynecological diseases.

If you want more research into post-infectious illnesses, then linking an infectious event to dozens of serious illnesses can only help.

The study makes one wonder how many chronic illnesses were triggered by an infectious event.

For all of its horrendous impact, the coronavirus pandemic is clearly going to force the medical profession to take a very close look at what happens during an infectious event – and afterward – and that is good news for anyone with a post-infectious illness like ME/CFS.

What mental illnesses do you think

Aaron suffers from ? I would like a physical illness for Aaron . What makes Danny miller such an amazing actor in your eyes ?

Well he at least has depression and anxiety, it would be good if the show got him under a doctors care and medicated him, they just pick it up & drop it so they can use it for more drama. I find it a bit irresponsable at times, they could do lots of good by addressing it, I know they've had a few counselling sessions here and there but it's really not enough & then it was soon dropped.

Yes a medical based story with Aaron would be good and something to explore but with Chas' cancer and Eric Pollard's parkinson's disease, I can't see it at this time, it would be too many health stories at once.

Danny has a way of making you feel what Aaron feels and he has such a good range, from emotional scenes to anger and everything in between, he an also is at great comedy but we don't get to see that much. The writing of Aaron helps because he's got many layers and there is so much they can do with Aaron. It's ecxiting to see what this Era of Aaron will bring, each time Danny returns we tend to get something different lets see.

•Eric has Parkinsons that seems to be getting worse rapidly, and Brenda has that to deal with as well as Cathy

•Chas has breast cancer

•At least one or two people might be headed to prison

•Aaron and Cain will beat each other senseless (when last year they tried 'teaching' us that one punch can kill...)

•Belle more than likely in an abusive relationship

•Moira has a secret that she should be terrified to share, because it could 'destroy her world'

•Charity is a mess after shooting Harry, probably has ptsd and has started to drink, Moses is getting bullied and Mack is out stealing cars for the thrill

•Caleb and Tracy affair aftermath with lots of Nate

•Will Jai embrace his new family members or is Amit a villain? (Meanwhile, we miss Rishi...)

•Victoria and Jacob are the loves of eachother's lives!!

•Ryan and Gail and their son, another long lost Dingle child

•Bear has a crush on Claudette
