He smiled softly to himself as he ran his thumb along your jawline before leaning in to kiss that spot.

“You'll look so hot, all pregnant.”

“Lando– I love you–” you chuckled in disbelief. “But I don’t think I would feel hot carrying a little person inside me.”

“But you will, just watch,” he stopped you, pressing in closer to you and Mila – who just cooed in disagreement, taking her little hand and pushing her uncle Lala away from your personal space. Cackling in satisfaction as she bounced up and down in your arms.

“Once you learn how to change the diapers, we could talk,” you smiled, looking at the niece and her uncle – tickling each other into a giggling mess. Lando snapping his head up as his messy, curly brown hair fell out of place.

“Then you get ready tonight baby.”

You couldn’t only help but rolling your eyes back, tilting your neck to an angle. Turning away from him before smoothing out your lovely skirt.

And God help him because he was torn between his thirst to pull you back in and let his instincts take over or letting you finish getting ready. Deciding to let you get ready instead of making you feel like he only cared about one thing. For now, at least. That thought was enough to get him to try and behave himself for the time being.

"What about your shoes? Have you picked them out yet?" he asked, taking his eyes off of you for the first time in a while.

Knowing what he wanted. Let’s say…he has always been gentle with your baby girl inside, but he could only try so hard.

“Maybe tonight,” you smiled nonchalantly, fixing your hair in the mirror. “The adidas please?”

BUT the funny thing about all of them is theres a clear class divide even with their names? like sorry im abt to dig deeper than u asked but i find names to be so interesting how some go in and out of fashion but others (like john) are forever 😭

joh b and jj have some SOUTHERN ass names okay…john booker routledge and jj (whether you think its john james or jesse james…COUNTRY) are both technically double names and in the south those kinds of names are super common! normally the first name is something common or a family name and the second is more unique (hence booker) and john b was probably one one many johns which is why he became john b, and if u believe jj is also a john then well thats how you get jj but if u go with jesse james theory he goes by the shortened version bc its just simpler

and names like these are often associated with the lower class nowadays and theres also the fact that naming conventions in families tend to follow a pattern like my grandma has a traditionally southern double name, then she moved and over time her kids went from popular names (60s) to afrocentric names (70s) and then my mom with the most afrocentric name turned and named me something in swahili like theres a pattern!

so i think its likely for john b to name his son john with his own second/middle name much like his dad did with him or go with a relatively common but short name. nothing too outrageous. for a girl itd probably also be a pretty classic girls name, short and simple but i don’t think she’d have a double name at all

jj is a wildcard but i do think he’s be simple too? like i could see him going for relatively unisex names bc again if u think his name is jesse thats a p unisex name and i think hes a no fuss no frills namer bc hes also dirt poor from the cut like john b. i do think he’d hive at least one kid a double name as well and one of ems being named jj boy or girl i dont think he’d care. also has to be nicknameable because hes big on that edit: also meant to say of you go by jesse james theory hes prob naming a kid after a historical figure, the badder the better

pope is actually a very like…southern black name i dont know how to describe it in a way that makes sense to non black ppl but if ur black u cant tell me pope heyward doesnt sound like a toni morrison character 😭 theres this slight foreignness to it where its not traditionally a name but he couldnt be anything else i think he’d likely do a literary name tho! but none of the obvious ones because thats try hard, but it would also be slightly unusual like his because like i said in families the names tend to be one step up from the parents so boy or girl itll likely be one syllable, pretty short, not able to create a nickname for it because hes insistent on people knowing his kids name as is (another black thing)

rafe is most interesting because all of the camerons have very interesting names from a class standpoint. sarah and louisa (wheezie) are both traditional names with the latter being the oldest and more outdated even with the nickname wheezie, and rafe could be short for rafael it also could just be rafe but the exoticness of it is used to establish wealth, they can use older or more “ethnic” names to signify both their familys longevity because louisa is prob a relative and wealth because rafael gives “i travelled to Spain and met a local with that name i had to give it to my son.” so i think rafe would probably go for something either super traditional with a name from the family or “exotic” with a like italian or spanish name

New Ideas for HOTD Rhaenyra Fashion pt.7

First time I’m doing one of adult Rhaenyra’s costumes, and we’re starting off with the one I hateeee the most of all:

I get it’s a sort of call back go her of outfits when she was younger but bruh😶 you’re telling me this is what she chose. Even her younger outfits were better than that. And I get it, I get it, it’s supposed to be maternity wear but reminder that this:

Is what Alicent wore when pregnant with Helaena. And this is what Rhaenyra wore right after the birth:

Both are hella fire, stunning. The dress Rhaenyra’s wearing is very Velaryon esque, slowly, loose, a sort of beached of Greece type beauty. Now she can still wear Targaryen colors, but she can also still have some representation of her Velaryon marriage (as we really tryna post a happy front so no one thinks about daddy Harwin😘)

So I think she’s still be wearing something similar, but perhaps representing both family’s. This being an under dress:

With it blue threading running through the red it could easily be designed a scales.

I’d also add an open fronted petticoat so that she could keep her arms warm and protect her belly or breasts if she feels the need as a woman whom has freshly given birth.

I’d use these three for design reference:

Taking the pattern from the red gown, the design of the green gown w/ the white designs, and then the golden medallion chains binding them together from the third design.

I’d change the color of the petticoat to a Targaryen black, and trade the white designs for gold ones more similar to the ones we on her blue dress. As you can see the zigzagging in the first picture of the three is reminiscent of the blue threads on the red dress meant to be worn under so honestly those could just be changed to gold. Keeping the golden belt with the rubies in the second picture, I’d disregard the highest neck piece with the laces in the front. I’d keep the spacing of the open front in the third picture, turning the bands of the front to match the fabric of the underdress. The gold on either side of the bands could be formed into dragons heads (perhaps reminiscent of Syrax’s head if ur feeling fancy). Lastly, I think I would make the inside fabric of the petticoat a velaryon blue, replacing the yellowish color we see on the interior of the dress in the third picture.

Sorry if that was confusing, I might’ve got a little too descriptive to show you what going on in my mind 😭

As for her Jewelry, I just saw a Reddit post made before hotd came out about the color of Joffrey and Jace’s dragons. They were actually correct for the most part about Vermax (Jace’s dragon) so I have faith in their theory that Tyraxes (Joffrey’s dragon) is red & black or something similar.

That being said I’d want to reflect his hatchling, or at least egg on her jewelry. (Bc I also saw someone say Rhaenyra wears a ring for everyone of her three sons @atopcat) Maybe it’d be cute if she did something to reflect their future dragons after their birth with her jewelry as well.

Red and black for Tyraxes, gold for the ring she wears for him:

Her hair is more of a simpler extent, as I feel like though time hasn’t calmed down her fashionista tastes to an extreme extent, she’s more concerned about her newborn baby than her hair right now.

Something like this, but instead make it a half-do w/ hair still hanging free from any binds/braids:

Replace the pink ribbon and bow with two Velaryon Blue colored bands with gold design embroidered onto it, golden thread braided at the edges of the fabric. Perhaps the bow could be replaced with a golden three headed dragon pin stick through the braid so it appears as if mini dragons heads are roaring at those walking behind her.

I've been in the Kirby fandom for quite some time now. I've been there when the MetaKirby ship was popular, even shipped it myself and watched the comments being positive. So I’m just going to say this because I saw your megastar opinion in the tag and then i see that you ship megaop as well, but have strong opinions on megaop.  just do find it kinda strange and hypocrtical how you will say that about megastar but still ship and abusive ship like Megop, that has dynamics of abuse, power imbalance, violence, manipulation, etc. Megatron has also, pretty much raped Optimus in IDW by pulling out his spark and torutring him with it, as spark touching is associated with intimacy and romance, especially in IDW. Grabbing one without consent is sexual assault. Let’s not even forget TFP where megatron abused and manipulated Optimus when he had no memories, when he purposely targeted the humans and his friends, when he is overly violent toward him in both top and idw. Yet that’s okay?  If you are going to call out one abusive ship, and make sure that ship hate shows up in the tag, then you should also do the same for others.

I'm all for calling out abusive ships but I don't understand why people will hate megastar, but then in the same breath, they will ship and romantize toxic and abusive ships like megaop and not call out the problematic aspects in those ships, like you did.

Okay, let’s address the elephant in the room: I am not a proshipper. I hate proshippers. I would rather burn slowly and painfully to death than participate in proshipping. Secondly, I am going to underline in red where I condoned shipping TFP and IDW MegaOp:

As you can notice, there is nothing underlined in red. Because I did not say I shipped TFP and IDW MegaOp. In fact, I did not mention them because I agree with you on specifically TFP and IDW MegaOp because they are abusive and toxic in certain points of the storyline. I highlighted Earthspark instead, when MegaOp can be a positive ship. In my original post about MegaStar I also mentioned Shattered Glass Megastar, which can also be a positive interpretation of Megastar because of Megatron and Starscream’s more tame and even friendly relationship in Shattered Glass.

I also do not actively ship MegaOp. It is not a ship I actively involve myself in nor really care that much about. I said word for word, “Kind of? It’s not a ship I’m particularly invested in,” and “They kind of fight each other for 4 million years so MegaOp doesn’t make that much sense to me. But yeah it’s not a ship I’m SUPER interested in so I don’t have much of a say on it lmao” <- Notice how I said I don’t have much of a say on it and I am not super invested in it. I do not pay attention to MegaOp as a ship, so I have no idea how people chose to interpret it. I mainly pay attention to the angsty part of their relationship, because they were close friends before the war and it causes Optimus specifically a lot of anguish during the war. I think in a shipping aspect, the whole “they were dating but then the war happened and now they HATEEEE each other” thing could work for MegaOp. Megatron wasn’t really torturing Optimus pre-war or anything so in theory it’s not totally deplorable to ship pre-war MegaOp. And during the war they could like divorce or something. I think that is a reasonable MegaOp ship story not “they love each other during the war even tho they beat each other up!!!” I think Optimus definitely misses the way Megatron was before the war, not to the point of kissing each other.

The reason why I’m not as strongly opinionated on MegaOp as I am MegaStar is because with MegaOp, it’s like a healthy relationship that turned very sour. Even in cannon with their platonic relationship, it is like that. Megatron and Optimus were on good terms before the events of the war. It’s emphasized in a lot of TF stories that they were old friends before the war. However, MegaStar does not have that same backstory and emphasis. As far as I know, we don’t really know if Megatron even knew Starscream before the war. It seems to be toxic from the start. I mean, in G1, Starscream’s whole thing is getting beat up by Megatron and wanting to otherthrow Megatron. Kind of the same in TFP and literally everywhere else except Starscream has more personality.

I think in cannon the toxicity of Megatron’s and Starscream’s relationship is MUCH more emphasized than the toxicity Megatron’s and Optimus’s relationship. With Megs and Screamer it’s kind of like “GODDDDDDD I HATE this man he ruined my whole LIFE and I want to KILL HIM” and with Optimus and Megatron it’s kind of like “wow I used to like this guy. Wow I miss being his friend. :( we used to be friends man but then he went and started a war :(((“

Basically I think the dynamics for MegaStar and MegaOp are WAYYYYYY different. Like, in TFP Optimus couldn’t even bring himself to kill Megatron. And Megatron wants to kill him, but kind of just doesn’t?? Can’t remember much of TFP but I’m pretty sure there were some attempts made to kill him that ultimately failed. I think the whole thing with wiping Optimus’s memory and keeping him around with the Decepticons instead of just killing him was Megatron’s messed up way of keeping his old friend around without said old friend spoiling his evil plans. Keyword MESSED UP I don’t condone it that’s just how I see it. Like back in the old days they used to be friends, but now everything is strained and changed and they both feel bad about it. Megatron definitely does not feel as bad about it though lmao

And with MegaStar the only reason Megatron keeps Starscream around is because he needs extra hands around to do his bidding. He’d gladly kill Starscream once he isn’t of use to him anymore. And Starscream would gladly kill and take Megatron’s place, given the chance. There isn’t any past friendship between them, they’ve always hated each other. Yeah that’s basically my character analysis about the two ships. I think MegaOp can work as a “old lovers who broke up because of a horrible war against each other” thing. I don’t think MegaStar can work like that.

Also I’m pretty sure spark touching being associated with romance is purely a fandom/headcannon thing. I have not once seen that as an actual thing in ANY cannon TF media. Grabbing Optimus’s spark and tearing it out of his body leans more towards physical torture and not sexual assault, I mean doesn’t make it any less bad but I felt I should say that anyways. You spend too much time in transformers fandom on ao3 and wattpad. I also did not use the MegaStar tag in my original post. I used TF and Transformers as a tag, NOT Megastar. Making a ship hate post in the ship tag is asking for a death sentence on tumblr. I am not that stupid.
