Emma Bloom HCs

- She has a heart locket with a picture of herself and Abe inside. She couldn’t bring herself to replace his picture or put it away when she started to date Jacob. Only after she finally began to get over him (post TDoDA) she put it in a keepsake box in her closet and hasn’t thought of it since.

- Her breakup with Jacob made her reflect a lot on how obsessed she was with Abe which is how she began to finally get over him. She ended up discovering she was pan after falling in love with a preppy popular girl at Jacob’s school who she’s been dating ever since.

- She became a professional photographer in both the modern and peculiar world, making a living in both worlds. Her girlfriend helped her set up a social media account to get more traction; her first photos that went viral were of photoshoots of her girlfriend and she’s been living off commission since. In the peculiar world she helps document fellow peculiars.

- Emma was always in charge of Miss Peregrine’s photo album and was the one who took photos of all the children (Abe took the photo of herself for her).

- When she fled home she didn’t have any belongings, therefore nothing to remember her sister by. After all these years she’s forgotten her voice and her face, and she sometimes cries at night trying to piece her back together in her mind. She and Millard once tried to find records or any information of Julia but they never found anything, which plagues her mind.

- Noor and Emma’s girlfriend drastically helped Emma warm up to modern fashion. She finally developed her own fashion sense, mostly consisting of sundresses, floral crop tops and baggy jeans. She’s a fan of the preppy-hipster style of dress to her girlfriend’s more bra top and leggings style of preppy.

- As often as they fight, she sees Enoch as the younger brother she never had and loves him dearly. It never occurred to her that he felt the same until she realized how concerned he was over her (towards the end of TCoTB) and she started to be more patient with his attitude (though she never hesitates to call him out on bs).

- She loves birds and owned a pet canary once, but after she accidentally burned his wing with her pinky, she decided that all pets were off the table and set him free, though she still misses him dearly and loves all animals in general.

- While she disliked and felt very jealous towards Noor at first, after they began to hangout, she grew to saw Noor as a good friend. The two, along with Bronwyn, Fiona, (and later Emma’s girlfriend), all hang out together as often as they can, usually shopping or going on walks (or pranking the boys). They love having girl’s nights with Claire and Olive (Horace tags along occasionally) and sleepovers in each other’s rooms (though Miss Peregrine makes sure Emma and her girlfriend sleep separately much to Emma’s annoyance).

hello!! out of curiousity, do u have any voice headcanons for the nextgen kids?

OKAY SO last time this question was asked I didn’t have answers but now I have a few!!! It’s been a bit of a struggle to find voices for some of my guys but I do have ideas on their voice profiles so I’m open to suggestions on who would be good…

Azura- I’ve really fallen in love with the concept of AJ Michalka (Stevonnie, Catra spop) being her voice- I think Azura would have a scrappy cute voice that’s still unique to her that fits in with her family, and it would be very cute to have a VA who’s iconic for voicing queer cartoon characters be the voice for the kid of two of the biggest history makers in Disney…. Shes so cute

Bronwyn- Bronwyn at her core is a musician and her struggles with anxiety and panic disorders are a huge part of her character- I feel like her voice would be that of someone who could connect with her and play a soft voiced “mature” girl with a passion for singing and songwriting, so I settled on her being voiced by Mitski, the singer we all know and love. I think she would be able to bring a lot of life to her.

Juno- Juno being a trans girl is very important to her character and I would want a transfem to voice her, but when there’s transfem characters in media they’re almost always portrayed with higher “passable” voices from what I’ve seen. I want her voice to be a little deeper to represent girls who have those voices, and I think her sense of style and humor would come through well with iamblizzymcguire/blizzabella, A transfem nyc based comedian and model who I love. She’s so unique and sillay and I adore her

Now!!! Voice profiles for the guys I don’t have specific ideas for!

Hyacinth- at first I thought of him being voiced by Alex Lawther who plays younger Philip in canon, but he’s 1) British and 2) his voice is a bit more mature than I would like. Part of Hyacinth and how he differs from Philip is that he’s a lot smaller, and while I wanna have a voice for him that’s still in that “tenor range head voice that’s very in the nose and has a soft cadence,” I don’t think Lawther could do that. I would want someone similar and who isn’t British so I could imagine it better…

Mittens- I think mittens would have a tiny voice that’s also more masc, not so much scratchy and raspy but like. Little guy. Y feel me

Calcifer- honestly I’m not sure how to describe what I hear for them- they give me a vibe of a very cute and polite little kid who’s able to get Sillay???? They’re excitable and they tend to infodump………

Bramble- at first I thought I had a voice for him- that voice being Andrew Kishino who voices the character his design is based off of (Kevin from Steven universe) but Kish’s voice is way too mature for an angsty 14 year old trans boy. I do want his voice to be on the deeper and softer side with a good amount of sass though.

Briar- I don’t really know what to do for her since she’s still kinda new ….

This is such a good question agggh!!!!

Addy: During oouin I imagined her to have a grown out purple bob that barely touched her shoulders. i've thought of her as being really pale - bordering ghostly.

Bronwyn: I've always imagined Bronwyn with long wavy brown hair - and obviously her grey eyes. I also feel like she would be quite tall (around 5'6 or 5'7).

Cooper: In my mind Cooper has a blonde crew cut in oouil - then quite long floppy hair in oouin. He is also a short king and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Nate: He's always been quite hard for me to picture tbh. If I had to describe him, he has dark brown hair that is not floppy but also isn't short?? Maybe a 5 0'clock shadow???

Maeve: Chestnut brown shoulder length hair with blonde and auburn highlights (this is so specific, but Maeve is such a vivid character for me to picture, I just can't help it). She also has a smattering of freckles on her nose and quite a soft, heart shaped face.

Luis: The tallest of the group by a MILE. He has black hair that is short on the sides but long on the top. I've also imagined him with 2 moles on the right side of his face for some reason? Ooh, he also has a strong nose that is a little bit bent from being broken so many times.

Phoebe: Copper red hair that reaches the middle of her back, with a bit of a wave to it. Her whole body is covered in freckles in true redhead fashion. I also think she would have quite prominent eyebrows.

Knox: Blonde crew cut style hair - almost a buzz cut. Long, lanky limbs. a scrawny white boy, if you will.

Kris: Short fluffy, light brown hair. an oval type face with ridiculously long lashes. I also feel like he would around the same height as Luis.

jose and i love lord of the rings. it was the first thing that brought us together. watching it with our highschool friends was our meetcute of "omggg u also have appendices memorized??😳!" i was convinced trop was gonna suck also fuck amazon but jose's the most give it a chance man on earth like this dude loves everything but he especially loves lotr. he will take whatever he gets. so i was like sigh.... ok. you're gonna watch it anyway, I'll sit in, I'll give it a chance. to support my husband who i adore.

it's important to me that you understand this. that i was, definitively, NOT hate watching. i was going in with as open a mind as i could muster. and guys?

that shit sucked so so fucking hard.

ita bad! it was really really so bad. and i had to acknowledge that, ok, we will never get another good lotr trilogy. the formula that enabled the lotr to be such a gorgeous passion project will never come together that perfectly ever ever again, so i don't really wanna compare it to that standard. but this was like.... just bad television. just deeply unlikable stuff.

as i slowly started to pick up hints that even my loves-everything husband was, thankfully, not enjoying himself, i prodded with a, "i think the actors are doing their best with very very little to go off of" and he considered this, nodding and admitting, "yeah it's just okay." this, from jose, is about as scathing as it gets.

right away, the writing. it's bad. at times unbearably so, ranging from bursting out in laughter at the middle school level moments of triumph to looking away with literal nausea at the emotional beats. it's like a group of 19 year old male business majors minoring in anthropology got together and competed to see who could write the most moving speech, and there's your script. every word, delivery, expression is like they're saying the most dire thing that's ever been said. sometimes you get attempts at friendly banter trying too hard for charm, or commonfolk wisdoms, but mostly it's so so so serious guysss this is SERIOUS definitely the stakes are soooo high can't you tell by the way the actors' jaws are always clenched? nothing in middle earth has ever been so serious.

there's a boy and his mother (who's embroiled in a human/elf romance that lacks any of the tender, captivating distance between aragorn and arwen, but based on the music, we're definitely supposed to think it's on level). at one point when things are, again, Getting Serious, and she's like remember when you used to have nightmares as a kid? remember what I'd say? I'd say: In the end, this shadow is but a small and passing thing. There is light and high beauty forever beyond its reach. Find the light, and the shadow will not find you. ok, 1) did you? did you say that whole thing to your kid? yeah i bet you did sure bronwyn, and 2) this illustrates the most annoying pattern in every filmed lotr property beyond the original trilogy, which is the attempt to top the original trilogy. oh did you like that thing gandalf said? then you're gonna LOVE A THIS.

and galadriel. ohh galadriel. they girlbossified galadriel so hard I'd call it character assassination. it's egregious. personally insulting. galadriel is an interesting and powerful character who's simultaneously ethereal, feminine, calm and soft with moments of fury. well the trop writers saw that they were like hang on... she can't be powerful AND gently feminine that doesn't make sense. no. she has to be PISSED the HELL off!!! she's not like other elves. she's tough, she's gonna show these BOYS how to sword fight. also there's a hot MAN she's gonna have DYNAMICS with because, can't stress this enough, she is not like other elves.

they keep trying to make another "into the West" or "edge of night" like SHUT UP. SHUT UP. SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU WILL NEVER BE BILLY BOYD. YOU WANNA BE BILLY BOYD SO FUCKING BAD IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID. ENOUGH. the credits song on the final episode is just someone singing the one ring poem. literally. like it's the one ring to rule them all poem word for word set to a painfully obvious into the west copy.

there's so much more. and i swear on GOD i was trying to give it a chance. my mistake. i shouldn't have done that i was wrong i messed up by watching the r*ngs of p*wer i wish i could take it back.

A 12 year old Amy sat in the back of her mother's black Chevrolet Impala as they drove down a road through the woods to crystal lake, her mother was one of the councillors and her best friend Pamela who Amy adored was gonna be there as the cook.

Amy's mother had told her that Pamelas son Jason was going to be there, Amy had never met him but she was excited to meet him since she usually had no friends at camp they all made fun of her poliosis. It's a condition where your hair has black and white streaks and the other kids called her "Cruella Deville" and a "Dalmatian."

Dust flew up from the cars wheels as the car pulled through the gates of the camp, Amy was fidgeting in her seat excited to see Pamela and to meet Jason. When the car pulled up Amy got out of the car and ran up the stairs to the kitchen cabin "Amy Lou slow down!" Her mum called but she was to excited to listen.

When Amy spotted Pamela in the kitchen she ran over to her "Pamela!" She said excitedly "well hello little Amy" she said giving her a hug "my you've grown" Pamela said with her hands on her hips "and look at your hair isn't it beautiful."

Amy hid her face shyly as Pamela smiled at her, Amy's mum came through the door with their bags and the them down "phew glad I got that over and done with" her mother said. "Hey Pam" she said walking over to give Pamela a hug "Hello Bronwyn lovely seeing you again it feels like ages" Pam gave Amy's mother a friendly hug.

"Amy would you like to meet my son Jason?" Pam asked with a smile "yes I would love to" Amy said excitedly "use your manners Amy" her mother said. "Sorry mummy, yes plz" Amy said excitedly "He's playing on the playground" Pamela said taking Amy's hand.

They walked outside and down the back steps of the kitchen cabin and into the playground "Jason I have someone here who would love to meet you" Pamela let go of Amy's hand and walked into the playground. Jason was hiding behind Pamelas back as they walked back over to Amy "don't be shy dear she's very nice."

Jason slowly moved from behind his mother's back and fiddled with his hands nervously "Jason this is Amy" Pamela said with a smile. Amy smiled as he walked closer to her, usually he was used to people looking at his face in disgust and horror but Amy didn't. She only smiled at him and held out her hand for him to shake, he was hesitant for a second before taking her hand and shaking it.

"Now Amy I have a question do you know ASL?" Pamela asked holding Jason's hand "I do, mummys brother is deaf so she taught me" Amy said smiling at Jason. "Wonderful, Jason doesn't like to talk very much so he uses ASL to communicate."

"That's ok, would you like to go and play Jason?" Amy asked whist signing and he looked up at his mother silently asking "go on dear." Jason ran on the playground and Amy followed running to the monkey bars and hanging upside down and playing on them.

Pamela was filled with joy knowing that her son finally had a friend, one that wouldn't bully him or hurt him and one that could communicate with him. Jason shyly tapped Amy on the shoulder and she turned her head to pay attention 'your hair is very pretty' he signed shyly "why thank you" she said smiling.

None of the other kids ever said that about her hair and that made her feel happy 'may please ask why your hair is that way?' He signed and Amy nodded "I have a rare condition called poliosis it turns some parts of your hair pure white and other parts pure black, mummy said I should dye it because I'm made fun of but I like it just the way it is."

'It's very pretty' Jason signed making her blush "thank you" she said back whilst signing, "Jason, Amy time to get ready for the other kids to come!" Bronwyn called from the kitchen. They jumped off the monkey bars and walked through the grass to the back steps and walked up into the kitchen "now Jason you can either stay at our house or you can have a cabin with Amy" Pamela said putting down a box of lettuce.

Amy and Jason looked at Each other and Amy smiled 'I would like to have a cabin with Amy' he signed and Pamela smiled "well that's settled go ahead and take your bags and pick which one you want." Amy and Jason ran to get their backpacks and ran outside into the camp "be careful!" Pamela yelled.

Favourite character: u know as a known villainfucker i am contractually obliged to say Adar but close seconds are Miriel, Elrond, Elendil, Valandil, and Disa and Durin. I HAVE A LOT OF FAVORITES OKAY THIS IS A LARGE ENSEMBLE CAST.

Funniest character: Disa has some of the greatest comedic beats in the show but i think Elendil's dad humor is underrated as well lmao

Best-looking character: Adar, Miriel, Elendil. you canNOT make me choose here i have written extensively about how beautiful they are and i will cONTINUE to write about it

3 favourite ships: obviously miriel/elendil, but the cracky miriel/elendil/valandil ship ~accidentally~ turned into a real ship, and i wasn't convinced about adar/arondir until i wrote it for an exchange and they won my heart (also intrigued by adar/arondir/bronwyn, you KNOW i love an ot3!) honorable mention: isildur/valandil.

Least favourite character: i've said it before and i'll say it again: modern AU kemen is a college republican. unforgivable.

Least favourite ship: brandishes the sign of the cross at the h*ladriels (exception for like, the cool h*ladriels who ship them in a way that doesn't strike me as incredibly sexist...........)

Reason why I watch it: diehard tolkien fan, loves the 2nd age, was not to be deterred by the fact plenty of people hated it (funny story... i actually looked in my saved photos earlier and realized in like 2020-21 i had actually publicly said "fuck the lotr show!" and then. screenshotted it. because of the nudity/sex scene rumor. hindsight is 20/20 i guess, sorry rop, i'm better now.)

Why I started watching it: honestly pure curiosity about if the show would be good or not!!! and because i could not skip a LOTR show, tbh. (i really thought elrond and gil-galad were not hot at first but their charisma & acting won me over! look at me now!)

Favourite character: crais & aeryn, which really says a lot about how much the "child soldiers fighting to be their own self" works for me as a character arc. (FUNDIE/EXVANGELICAL METAPHOR??? note: talk about this with my therapist later.) they are both so very sexy and tortured and carry big guns. very hot. very cool. *drooling a little bit thinking about aeryn and crais* what was i talking about..... ummmmm yeah okay-- (wait honorable mention to Pilot, who is LOVELY and my FRIEND. also the fact that crais's actor also voices Pilot has given me a weird hard-on for Pilot as well. sorry. alienfucker present.)

Funniest character: john crichton is actually so fucking funny i hope we all appreciate his comedic chops--same for harvey/scorpy, the comedy in some of those mind scenes is EXCELLENT

Best-looking character: crais & aeryn. im so fucking sorry i think they're both incredibly hot and the leather and scowling and "i could kill you in 12 different ways" energy really does it for me. when crichton is in his long leather coat outfit being edgy, he also is included in this category. zhaan is also too beautiful to look at. this is a very beautiful cast!!!!!

3 favourite ships: crais/aeryn/crichton is... basically the show for me. i know it requires a certain deluded perspective to watch the show through that framework but also it completely makes sense if you have the 3rd eye to see how homoerotic the crais/crichton fights are. they're constantly fighting over their own big feelings and over aeryn and it's just like okay, fuck it out already! i do like zhaan/stark a lot as well--super compelling and very sad but beautiful!!! i think crichton/scorpius is really fun in a fucked up traumatizing psychosexual way, but i also think they'd never actually fuck, scorpy just tortures john and that's as close to sex as they'll get. (@julians-meh-house back me up on this)

Least favourite character: rygel. i know what purpose he serves thematically and in the ensemble cast—and don't get me wrong, it SLAPS that a muppet is like, cursing and shitting and farting and pissing onscreen, committing proper war crimes/acts of immorality—puppets is definitely is the best way to do sci-fi aliens tbh—but he has done so many unforgivable things to my favorites! i hate him a lot, but in the "wow he's a well-written character" kind of hate.

Least favourite ship: honestly most things with chiana give me the heebie jeebies because she's canonically Very Young (teenager/young adult?) and d'argo is a whole-ass 40 year old man. so. i understand why farscape does it, i understand that the show is depicting chiana as someone who's hypersexual because of trauma, i know the chiana/d'argo relationship is FAR from healthy to start with. i just personally want chiana to have some healthy relationships with people her age lol.

Reason why I watch it: it is the best show in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but seriously... my major problem with contemporary sci-fi is that it is too clean and shiny and new and sharp and savvy and militarized. and what i really want from sci-fi is the dirty underside of the cosmos. aliens being weird and freaky and kinky and inhuman and gross and ALIEN. (star wars tries to show the grimier side of things but only succeeds in like, rare circumstances.) farscape is so messy and good and it's also from the era of TV where seasons were 20+ episodes long. so much better.

Why I started watching it: @yamelcakes farscape propaganda on the dash worked on me. i am forever grateful. <3

Least favourite character: i'm wracking my brain and i'm not sure i have one. moff gideon is so fucking sexy and cool i can't hate him even if he's super duper evil. well, maybe greef karga, he tends to annoy me when he's onscreen because i think carl weathers is hamming it up too much and the tone isn't quite right for the show. and cara dune i liked as a character but the acting was always bad!

Bronwyn loves babying ANYONE that lets her do so. When someone in the house is sick, she's the one taking care of them.

She's really good at singing. When Olive and Claire have trouble sleeping, she sings for them.

If you're having a picnic date with princess dresses and tiaras, (probably gonna end up happening because we all live for the aesthetic) then Claire and Bronwyn would usually end up making excuses to bring more food to you so then they could join, which Olive was sometimes too nice to protest to, but at least you got some time together without interruptions before they turned up.

• Okay so you're both pretty different. You're a literature girl ; books, music, writing and academic. He, however, was not. How could you not, he was funny, kind, didn't cat call you, was one of the beaters for Gryffindor's quidditch team and he wasn't too bad on the eyes. That's how you became friends, you'd asked him to tutor you in sixth year since your grades where dropping. Fred obviously teased him relentlessly for this because he didn't pull the first move.

Also France has alot of art history so you end up begging her to go on a little art tour with you. Bff vibes.

• I think you and George would just make a great couple in general. It's kinda a yin yang thing you have going on together. You balance each other out.
