"just in time Y/n... we're having a small meeting" she said as she dragged you towards the others. You sat down, searching for an specific person. "Hey hey hey Y/n!!!!" a loud beaming voice greeted you and you already know who it was. And yep, there he is. Together with his upperclassman. "hello Bokuto-san" you greeted while your head scanned towards Akaashi. "there you are idiot... I've been looking for you" "I thought you were busy so I just went here all alone." he said in his usual tone while you kept a smile on your face, pressing onto your pocket to give him the paper ring you made.

The small meeting and practice ended as all of you went outside to go home. The two other managers and your other upperclassmen went straight home while you and Akaashi walked home together since you guys lived with each other nearby.

"Is there something wrong?" you asked "Nothing," he replied while turning his head at you giving you a small smile. "ever since we were kids, there's always something about you that I cannot describe what" your sentence made Akaashi's cheeks pink. You being his best friend for a long time, he knew before that he's already forming some feelings for you but tried to hide it, completely ignoring it cause maybe it was just some 'puppy love' but in the end, he knew that it was not.

"Oh yeah! wait," you pulled out the paper ring you've made earlier and wore it on Akaashi's ring finger, making his heartbeat increase with you having a dust of pink on your cheeks. "there you go... I also have mine!" you cheerfully said as you showed him your hand with the ring. You knew this may be so childish for the both of you, and for sure others will also think that way, but this how you just cherish someone important in your life. But for Akaashi, this is also a thing he'll cherish. Only if you knew that he kept every little handicrafts you made for the both of you. Especially the "red string" you've made when you were 11. Both of you were so innocent that time, believing about the soulmates things and stuffs and he knew that you completely forgot about it. You were being a ball sunshine in front of him telling your agendas when he held your hand, pressing it against his left cheek then into his chest, where his heart was beating. This one just made your mind explode and you just stopped your tracks. "A-akaashi..." "Feel that? I don't know how to say this but, here we are, and I'm also so obvious. I like you. So much. Ever since. And this paper ring? I'll keep it. I'll consider this as our promise," He softly said as you can't believe on what he just said. You just smiled, but not an ordinary smile. A smile that he knows and he can only make you smile like that. Everything around you just felt like nothing, feeling everything just stopped. You went up from your toes as you placed a kiss on his cheek as he kissed you on your forehead. The feeling that you can only see him, his pretty face, heartbeat, both of your existence, you wanna stay like this forever, the feeling that both of you were literally made for each other in this universe.
