When Jonathan saw Dracula skittering out of the castle in the last entry, we all laughed, but he was probably out on his way to steal that baby from a local family- maybe even from someone who had given Jonathan protective gifts just days before. Which means that, for all the peasants’ fears of Jonathan going to Dracula’s castle, they’re still not safe even if they live far away from it, because that baby sure as hell didn’t make its way to the castle and knock on the door by itself.
