IMPORTANT: This modlist is done after my main playthrough that was originally started in 1.15.2. It has been adapted to the newer versions to the best of my ability. More info on outdated mods will be at the end of the post. I originally used this mod list with 8GB RAM PC (dedicating 4GB in MC). But I've recently switched to a 16GB PC, dedicating 10GB to MC, so going forward from 1.18.2 you may need to dedicate more than 4GB.

Blur: It doesnt look like we are going to get any new versions. The updated FABRIC version can be found ⮞ here ⮜ .

Mixin Bootstrap: No longer needed since the mixin library is already included in FORGE 1.18.

Vanilla Woods: The CurseForge page has been deleted so I assume this mod wont get any new updates.

Special Cases:

(12) Torch Slab: The 1.18.1 works for 1.18.2 Forge, so it actually doesnt need an update.

NOTES: Going forward I've decided try to use Rubidium. So going forward this modlist will have to options: to be used with Optifine or to be used with Rubidium The Rubidium version of this modlist only requires Rubidium, but other mods other mods that add missing features from optifine are available. This mods are: Rubidium Extras, for more features like zoom and others, Rubidium Dynamic Lights, for the dybamic lights feature (duh) and Occulus, for shaders.

posted this pretty much everywhere else but tumblr methinks has a better "algorithm" or whatever but

hello tumblr people i have been working on a 1.19 minecraft mod that is intended to invoke the feelings of older ~1.7 and below era mods with a modern twist or reimagining of mechanics

for example : spider ranching

an easier to understand version of forestry's bee farming, where you get tiny little spiders and they spin string in a new block, the spider nest

on top of that, it also contains a handful of references to content that arent old mods, since that was also actually a pretty big thing in mods back in the day (think orespawn's nightmare, the portal gun mod, etc) such as

the medamaude effect from yume nikki

nepeta leijon's action claws from homestuck (image shows it in off-hand , this is because it equips one if its in your main hand , dont actually put it in your offhand there's a bug that deletes it)

tougher times from risk of rain 2

the mod is currently very early on, but i believe you might be pleasantly surprised with it as time goes on !

also it would mean a lot if you gave feedback and stuff

Why does setting forge up for mod development suck so much.

I’m trying to mod 1.12.2 but I need the Java 8 jdk. Unfortunately you seem to need some kind of account/subscription thing for it I think?? I tried downloading eclipse temurin, but I can’t figure out how to install it to replace Jdk 1.8

If anyone has any resources/advice I’d really appreciate it

No mods are leaving the list. BUT if you have plans to update your minecraft further than 1.16 I reccomend using the (16) ILike Wood instead of the (15) Vanilla Woods mod that has been discontinued..

Special Cases:

Some mods: (2) Backpacked, (6) Double Slabs, (8) Mr. CrayFish Furniture, (11) Pam Harvestcraft and (13) Torch Slab, are availñable for different 1.16 versions such as 1.16.4 or 1.16.3 but work just fine with 1.16.5 and are safe to use.

my minecraft mod project: >lunacy (part 3)

hey its been a while since i posted this to tumblr

ive been working pretty hard on my minecraft forge 1.19.2 mod Project >lunacy: (an ode to modding)

it's themed around older style mods like thaumcraft and minefactory reloaded and such, but joined together into one cohesive package, while also being reimagined from mostly the ground up with a new spin on many aspects!

this image in particular i really like since it shows off a lot of the current additions and also looks reallly pretty

this mod is still super early on, but it has a nice handful of content, and i'm highly open to suggestions on the discord linked on the mod page, so go check it out if you think you might be interested!

not the same anon talking about how awesome it is to see butch MCs but i just wanted to chime in and agree that its really great you’re writing them — i’m not butch myself (gay trans masc) and seeing you fill that (extremely lacking) gap in the IF market has really given me the courage to start planning a game with a trans MC. i was hesitant before despite really really wanting to because well… some people (read: cishet people lol) are quite strange when you dont center a story on them but if writing about trans charas makes me happy why should i let cis people hold me back?

that was just a really longwinded way to say i admire your work a ton and it’s inspired me a lot. i hope you’re doing well and having a great day.

thank you!!! 💗 honestly there are always going to be people that don't like your work solely because they can't relate to it, particularly when they're used to having all media catered specifically to them.

writing what you want to see and what makes you happy is the best advice i can give, regardless of what other people want... of course everyone wants other people to read their work, but more importantly you should be writing it for yourself. have fun with it and your work will find its audience that will be receptive and excited to read a story about a trans mc.
