ok but consider: Holly knew Will pretty much her whole life, he visits the Wheelers so often that he sometimes ends up helping Mike babysit her. and well little Holly loves him of course! he's always so kind and gentle and she loves and admires his art and so he always helps her to get better and he always compliments no matter what she draws and she just loves him so much!
so much that little Holly starts talking about how she's gonna marry him when she grows up.
and Mike ..well he's Mike ...so of course he's jealous. he knows it's stupid but also hey if Will is going to marry any Wheeler it's going to be him you little shit-

Y/N wasn’t a sibling to the Wheeler kids, but a close cousin. She did however live with them due to her parents working outside of the United States and wanting to finish high school at the same school. She lived in the basement in that one tucked in the back room where no one actually went. She was okay with that, but sometimes it made her feel like a shut-in. That her family was embarrassed or obligated to take her on, and financially she was taken care of since her parents sent money, yet that feeling knawed at her at night. After family dinners nightly Aunt Karen went to the kitchen while Uncle Ted went to the living room. Nancy was either in her room or out and Mike was the same way. Holly followed her mom wherever she went, leaving Y/N alone in the basement contemplating her worth. She took that time alone in her room to focus on books, novels, and music. For Christmas, her parents sent her a Walkman with tapes of her favorite bands.
Y/N wasn’t a fan of the preppy kind of music that Nancy listens to, but more of Rock and Metal. Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Guns n’ Roses, Led Zepplin, Metallica, and The Eagles to name a few were her preferences. She decided to listen to one of her records one night without knowing Mike had his friends over for a Dungeon and Dragons campaign. She was lying on her bed with the music at a soft hum and the small window cracked open to have a breeze flow through the room. Y/N softly sang to the music with her eyes closed and imagined herself being at a concert. She dreamed of being on the open road, taking life as what it is, trying to live it to the fullest, and with no hard-set job to tie her down. She was looking into colleges of business management to become a band manager. There was something about the freedom of leaving that helped her try to escape the depressed hole she was stuck in now.
Y/N knew her parents loved her, but they thought her love could be bought. Don’t get her wrong, she was always grateful for the presents they sent, but once she wished they would come home to spend a holiday with her. A Holiday card with an “I love you, Happy Holidays. Love Mom and Dad” with an international postcard. It was somewhere nice as if it seemed like the couple had their daughter obligatorily. Not that she’d ever want to admit it, however, the anxious emotion of them dumping her off with her mom’s sister. Aunt Karen was loving but made sure to focus on herself and her needs as well. Uncle Ted didn’t care too much about his kids let alone his niece whenever he was home. Most of the time he was at work, but Y/N’s relationship with him did not matter to her as much because she never really cared for the man. The home was already strained and distant, yet whenever the family was out and about, the persona of a “perfect family” went into play. Through environment and self-hatred, Y/N craved the touch and love of someone, anyone.
“Is someone else down here? I hear music and singing.” Gareth asked Mike while helping set up the table.
“Oh yeah, that’s my cousin Y/N.” Mike shrugged. “She lives with us.” He pulled out more dice.
Eddie’s ears perked up at her name. The only girl he knew with that name was his Y/N. The girl he crushed on and increasingly grew to fall in love with. But surely, this couldn’t be his Y/N. The girl he sheepishly looked at from afar and sat next to in a few classes. The girl that has ultimately captured his heart.
“I didn’t know she lived with you,” Dustin commented. “You guys would like her, she’s really cool. Quiet, but cool. She likes the same music we do. Eddie, you should invite her to one of your gigs, she would like it.” Dustin smiled gently.
“Yeah? Well, she’s welcome any time if she doesn’t mind hanging out with the weekly five drunks.” Eddie sat in his chair. “Are we ready or we still talking family matters?” He said trying to hide a blush.
Tumblr media
Y/N hated taking the bus to school and driving with Nancy was like driving with the most preppiest and annoying morning person you could think of. They were both in their senior year, so Nancy chose to be happy every day before school started to “enlighten her life”. It annoyed Y/N to no end being that she wasn't a morning person. She had to deal with it during the winter months, but if it wasn't too cold, she biked to school. Sometimes she would take the back way and chill out by the picnic table in the woods behind the school. It was a way for her to escape the surroundings that suffocated her.
That morning she thought she was alone until she heard leaves crunching in front of her. She looked up while reaching into her backpack to pull out a screwdriver, her weapon of choice. It was easily accessible and could be used to stab, or so she told herself while awaiting the person to arrive.
“I swear, I am not afraid to put you into a coma.” She said before looking up at the beautiful brown eyes of the person she had developed a major crush on. He stood there in front of her a little shocked by her sudden comment.
“It’s just me, I promise. I didn’t know you came out here.” Eddie said, sitting across from her. His eyes sparkled more in the sunlight that was coming between the tree branches that surrounded them. “It’s normally just me.” He smiled lightly in a calming manner.
“Yeah, sorry I’m taking your space… And threatened you.” Y/N chuckled.
“Well, it did catch me off guard but never be sorry for taking a seat. You’re always welcome here at the Dungeon Master’s Table.” Eddie smirked, while she chuckled at his adorableness. They shared homeroom, Spanish, English, and History together. This made it easily accessible for both of them to develop a crush on each other.  Eddie would look over at her while she wrote notes, or read her book quietly. Sometimes his head was way too far into his notebook writing campaign ideas, that when she answered a question, he nearly broke his neck looking up at her. She would sheepishly admire him in the lunchroom while he expressed himself to the whole school.
“H-how’s your campaigns going?” Y/N looked up, trying to make the interaction less awkward, although her shaky voice didn’t help hide her anxiety.
“You know about my campaigns?” Eddie sat up smiling slightly. He didn’t realize that she had noticed him at all. But to notice something that is so important to him, made his heart flutter a little more than when he saw her.
“Of course, Mike talks about it all the time. Most of dinner is Nancy talking about college and Mike talking about how Hellfire is going.” She smiled at him. He looked at her confused. She never mentioned them before, why was she mentioning them now?
“Mike and Nancy? Do you normally go to their house for dinner? Neither of them has mentioned you before.” Eddie leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table.
“Oh,” Y/N sounded hurt in her quick reaction. She understood why, she wasn’t a sibling, just a cousin, but still, she went to school with them, lived with them, and was a blood-related family. “I’m their cousin. I live in the basement. They, uh, they don’t really talk about me much. Not that I expect them to, they’re not my siblings. Although living with them, I consider them close, but I know they don’t think of me like that.” She awkwardly chuckled, while nervously continuing to rant. The feeling of a knife digging deeper and deeper into an already traumatic wound came back.
“You’re the cousin in the basement. You listen to rock music and read comics and mystery novels. It all makes sense now. Why haven’t I noticed that Paladin’s cousin is my dream girl.” Eddie smiled wide at her. She looked up at him surprised at his words and so did he. Eddie didn’t mean to say those thoughts out loud that she was his crush, but deciding to confess how he feels about the girl sitting in front of him.
“Y-your what?” Y/N stuttered out a response. She couldn’t have possibly heard him correctly.
“I’m telling the truth when I say this. Y/N, you are my dream girl. I have had this massive crush on you since we met last year. You walked through the halls and the gates of heaven opened up. You’re gorgeous, talented, funny, and have great taste in everything. I’ve been wanting to tell you how I feel, but the constant thought of rejection stopped me.” Eddie sheepishly said with blush-tinted cheeks.
“Eddie, you’ve been my secret crush since last year. I’ve always found you fascinating, animated, and unapologetically yourself. Plus you’re incredibly hot.” She had blush-tinted cheeks covering her face as well. Y/N’s eyes got wider realizing she just called Eddie hot. Eddie himself blushed harder and got shy, which was a side of him she hasn’t seen before.
“Skip school with me today. We don’t have anything going on anyways, it’s the day before break.” Eddie reached over to hold her hand, and she let him.
“Where to, rockstar?” Y/N smirked, feeling the confidence in her spike up.
Tumblr media
After they decided to ditch for the rest of the day, they went downtown to look around the record store, see a movie, and talk about miscellaneous things. Eddie learned that she was just like him. Yeah, he knew they had the same taste in music, but it was scarily to a T. They chose a comedy movie while sharing a large popcorn. Both of them reached into the bucket with their fingers brushing against each other. A blush set across their cheeks as they quickly turned their heads back to the screen. Y/N smiled lightly failing miserably at hiding the excitement she felt when he touched her. Eddie’s facial expressions matched hers in feeling electricity when she touched him. Closer to the late afternoon Eddie drove them to Lover’s Lake overlooking the beautiful scenery before them. They began talking about family, school, and personal feelings. He understood how she felt when it came to family matters. The only one that cared about him was his Uncle Wayne, but for Y/N it was like living with strangers.
Tumblr media
Eddie and Y/N were inseparable from the moment of their picnic table talk. They talked for hours and hours, especially when coming home after school and when he wasn’t in the club with the guys. Friday nights after Hellfire Club was spent at the local diner for fries and milkshakes. Saturdays were spent at the trailer watching movies or driving around town with no plan or destination set. Sundays were study sessions and Eddie chose to pay attention more in class to graduate. Because of Y/N, he took school seriously. Of course, Eddie wanted to graduate this year, but with the recent times spent with her, he was motivated.
Eddie was motivated to spend more time with her. He was motivated to get done with all his schoolwork on time. He was motivated while writing his campaigns for Hellfire Club. Eddie Munson was motivated to do good by the woman he so easily fell in love with. Even Wayne could see the difference in Eddie the moment he came home with a massive smile and blushed cheeks. Wayne was about to leave for work when he saw Eddie like that, he knew it had to be from a girl. Nothing else made Eddie Munson look like that. For the next couple of months, his entire demeanor changed around her and Wayne. A lovesick puppy in awe and admiration of a lovesick puppy. Neither of them wanted to be out of this phase, and they didn’t have to.
All of Eddie’s friends knew something was different about him, but at lunch, he didn’t change himself. Still, the same metalhead goofball he was, but now with a smile while reading a note that Y/N passed him in the hallway.
“Eddie? What’s up with you man? You’re acting different.” Mike said popping another grape in his mouth.
“What’re you talking about, Wheeler? Nothing’s changed.” Eddie grumbled, tucking the note into his jean jacket pocket.
“Yeah, I’m with Mike. Something is up with you…” Garreth mentioned. “Or maybe, someone not something.” He smiled wider with an evil look.
“It’s a girl!” Dustin yelled earning a smack in the head from Eddie. “No, it’s not. Leave it alone.”
“It’s definitely a girl. Metallica hasn’t released their album yet and there’s nothing new at the Hideout. You’re hung up on a girl.” Jeff chuckled and dodged the pretzel thrown at him.
The rest of lunch the guys teased him about his smile and acting different, while Y/N sat in the corner quietly watching with a smile. She yearned for this kind of connection, never thinking she’d one day be able to have it. She waited for him at the picnic table after school mindlessly doodling in her notebook. She loved the fact that he was all hers and she was all his, but something about being public and showing affection around others was different, and she worried that he didn’t want the same.
“Hey, Babygirl,” Eddie said walking up to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her deeply. She leaned into his embrace kissing him back with the same passion.
“Can we talk about something?” She whispered after pulling away from him.
“Did I do something? Princess, if I did, I’m sorry.” Eddie was quick to ramble out.
“No,” she chuckled lightly. “I um… I was wondering if you wanted to go public with our relationship?” She played with the rings on her fingers, not daring to look up at him.
Eddie was in shock, he didn’t think she’d want to considering what her home life was like.
“Are you sure? I mean I know you were apprehensive.-”
“I’m sure. I want to laugh with you in front of others. I want to kiss you in the hallways before class and at the diner. I want to hold hands and not care who’s looking. I’ve never felt this way with anyone before and I want to feel this and enjoy what we have together.” Y/N cut him off and poured her heart out to him. Eddie couldn’t have smiled more thinking and dreaming of all the things he just heard her say.
“I want that too.” He smiled that big goofy grin of his. “I want us public, not caring who is around.” He cupped her face in his hands, leaning in to kiss her. She leaned into him as well, kissing his soft lips with love and passion.
Eddie and Y/N graduated that year happily together with plans to move in together when they had the money. For now, she moved into the trailer with him and Uncle Wayne. Wayne couldn’t have been happier to have her there, especially after getting cold-shouldered by her family except Mike and Nancy. The future held their love closer as Corroded Coffin took off and Y/N’s dream of writing gave her massive success as well. She was no longer a hidden Wheeler from the world, but the well-known author and wife of rock star Eddie Munson.

Chapter Thirteen
Nancy smoothed her skirt down and walked downstairs to wait. It was going to be her first official date with Eddie and Steve. She was a bit nervous and she hadn't exactly told her parents that she was dating both of them.
"Oh, Nancy, you look nice," Karen said when she entered the living room. "Do you have a date tonight?"
"Yes," Nancy beamed.
"Is it with Steve?" Mike asked, without looking up from his book.
"Yes," Nancy paused.
That was true. She was going on a date with Steve. She just left out the part where she was also going out with Eddie.
"Oh, that's wonderful. I'm so glad that you guys are back together," Karen beamed.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang, and Nancy froze before moving to answer it. Holly beat her to it.
"I'll get it!" Holly exclaimed and opened the door. "Steve! Teddy!"
"Hey, there, Princess," Eddie said.
"Come on in," Nancy grinned.
"Why is Eddie also here?" Mike asked, putting his book down.
"Uh, because I'm also dating Eddie," Nancy said. "Surprise!"
"You're dating both of them?" Karen asked. "And you boys are alright with that?"
Eddie and Steve shared a look with each other before grinning.
"Yeah, well, we're also dating each other," Eddie said.
"Oh," Karen said softly, and then she smiled. "I don't really get it, but whatever makes you happy, Nance."
"As long as she's not keeping you boys in the basement," Ted said without looking up from his newspaper.
"Is that the bare minimum? And what the hell did he mean by that?" Eddie asked.
"Oh, yeah, Mike used to keep El in their basement," Steve said.
"You mean my little sister?" Eddie asked, and Steve winced in realization.
"It was for her own good!" Mike exclaimed.
"Yeah, you and I are going to talk later. You're going to tell me exactly how keeping my little sister in your basement was good for her," Eddie said. "And then I'll decide if you should join Hellfire."
"Hellfire?" Mike asked.
"Oh, did I not mention? Eddie runs a D&D club at school. Anyway, we have to go," Nancy said.
"Oh, we got these for you," Eddie said. "We picked them out together."
Nancy smiled at the red and yellow flowers and let Karen take them to put them in a vase.
"Thank you," Nancy said.
"Have fun," Karen smiled.
Steve and Eddie held their arms out on either side of her. Nancy grinned as she took their arms, allowing them to lead her outside.
"I see we're taking Eddie's van," Nancy said.
"Only the best chariot for the best lady," Eddie said and paused. "Yeah, Steve asked if we could take my van, but he didn't say why."
"What do you have up your sleeve, Steve?" Nancy asked and Eddie snorted.
"You'll see," Steve said and opened the passenger door for Nancy while he climbed into the back.
He started giving directions to Nancy's favorite diner just outside of Hawkins. Steve ordered their food to go and then gave Eddie directions to a drive-in movie theater.
"Okay, now I understand why you told me to bring so many pillows," Eddie said as he propped open the van doors. "What are we watching, my leige?"
Eddie and Nancy settled against the pillows on either side of Steve, their food in their laps as the opening credits played.
"The Outsiders?" Nancy asked. "I love the Outsiders."
"Shit, me too. Good choice, Stevie," Eddie said.
"Really? I've never seen it," Steve said.
Eddie and Nancy gasped before staring at him.
"You've never seen it?" Nancy asked and Steve laughed.
"Of course, I've seen it. I've also read the book," Steve replied.
"Ass," Eddie grinned and elbowed him in the stomach.
Eddie snuggled further into him, and throughout the movie, he would dip his fries into Steve’s shake as payback. After the movie was over, Eddie closed the door as Nancy moved to straddle both of their legs as she talked about the movie. Halfway through their conversation, Nancy suddenly became aware that both of their hands were on her hip. She moved to kiss Eddie. Now that his nose was healed, she was able to kiss him without any problems. His lips were just as soft as she thought they would be. She broke the kiss, sharing a shy smile with him. Her lipstick was smeared across his lips, and he smacked them, cackling before pressing his lips to Steve’s. Nancy giggled as they kissed and watched Eddie pull back with a proud look on his face.
"I thought I would share," Eddie said, his lips still smeared with Nancy's lipstick.
"Thanks," Steve scoffed and wiped off the lipstick.
"My gift!" Eddie exclaimed and Nancy giggled.
"Idiots, the both of you," she shook her head.
"Probably should keep it PG anyway. I promised El I would give her all the details when I got home," Eddie grinned, and then his smile wavered briefly.
"What?" Nancy asked. "Is something wrong?"
"Nah, I'm fine," Eddie said.
"Eddie," Nancy said softly and pressed her hands against his chest.
"I don't want to bring this date down," Eddie whined.
"We won't push you, but we're here for you to talk to," Nancy said. "If you need to."
"Fine. If you're going to inflate your eyes at me like that," Eddie sighed. "Joyce wants to move to California, which is perfectly understandable considering everything that happened. I don't blame her for wanting to get the hell out of Dodge. However. . .she wants to take El with her."
"Does El know?" Nancy asked.
"I haven't talked to her yet. I know I need to, so she can make her own decision, but I've been putting it off because what if she decides to move to California?" Eddie asked. "I mean, I just got her into my life."
"She could surprise you. She could choose to stay," Nancy said.
"Yeah, I've seen the way she is with you. She looks up to you," Steve said.
"I have no clue why," Eddie scoffed, rolling his eyes.
"You'll never know until you talk to her," Nancy said.
"I know, I'm just afraid of losing her," Eddie said. "Look at me, this date is supposed to end on a happy note."
"Well, it's a good thing that the date isn't over," Steve said. "Let's go to the quarry."
"And we're just going to pretend like that was something you were always going to do?" Eddie asked, and Steve rolled his eyes.
Eddie pulled up the quarry, and the three of them climbed up on top of the van to watch the sun go down. It was completely quiet as they watched the sky turn dark and fill with stars.
"They almost look like diamonds," Eddie muttered.
"Lily doesn't like diamonds," Nancy said. "She says they're a scam."
"Wow, I should have known that you would find a way to bring her up," Eddie teased.
"What? I don't talk about her a lot, do I?" Nancy asked.
"Yeah, kind of," Steve said.
"She's just so - ,"
"Awesome. We know," Steve and Eddie grinned.
"One would think you had a crush," Eddie said.
"One would be wrong," Nancy said.
"There's nothing wrong with having a little crush, Nancy," Steve said.
"Yeah, especially in positions of power like this where it's clearly a one-sided puppy crush. It just means you admire her is all," Eddie grinned.
"Okay. Maybe I do have a bit of a crush," Nancy blushed.
"Oh my God! I can't believe you!" Eddie gasped and clutched his chest. "I am wounded!"
"You're an idiot," Nancy laughed and shoved him.
Eddie collapsed dramatically and fell into her lap.
"How do you make being called an idiot sound like such a compliment? Call me an idiot again, Nancy Wheeler," Eddie said.
"You're an idiot," she said, putting more affection in her voice.
Eddie grinned and put his feet into Steve’s lap as he nestled his head further into Nancy's lap.
"You're going to fall," Steve said.
"Ah, you'll be there to catch me, big boy," Eddie said.
"Not a chance," Steve scoffed.
They fell into silence again as they watched the stars twinkle above, hoping nothing rose up out of the darkness to grab them.
"Stay gold, Ponyboy," Eddie whispered.

Okay absolute crackpost time, bear with me
Recently I made a lil post about how the party would react to the classic "when life gives you lemons" situation but even before I wrote that there's a super silly idea that's been on my mind forever.
I desperately want some Wheeler siblings interactions that include Holly now that she's a bit older, so an idea came to me.
Halloween of '87, Karen and Ted had allowed Holly to go trick or treating without them, as long as she stayed close to Mike and Nancy. Mike really didn't wanna babysit his sister, especially not on halloween, when he had plans to watch some scary movies with the party (and maybe use it as an excuse to get close to Will when he got scared), but deep down he loves his sisters and he has a soft spot for Holly. He's her big brother, so it's his mission to always be there to protect her, so he eventually agrees to go with them and Holly gets super excited about it, she can't and won't stop talking about it.
Holly is the Wheeler's little princess, and she's a sucker for dressing up and putting on her fake tiaras and make up that barely has any pigment. Nancy was a bit to old to play dress up, but in some occasions she did her make up with her real products, it was a nice bonding moment when her plastic fake family felt a little more real, after Holly went downstairs to show how pretty she looked, with barely any reaction from their father and a small photo session by Karen Wheeler.
She had managed to pull both Nancy and Mike into her dress up moment, and she was gonna take that opportunity and run with it. Holly had her costume planned months ago, she was gonna be Sleeping Beauty with that pretty and sparkly pink costume dress her Nana got her for her birthday, and she was decided to keep up her theme. She talked with Nancy about how they should be the trio of Disney Princesses, and since she was the going as the most recent princess it only made sense for her big sister to go as the first princess ever, and that's how Nancy Wheeler ended up dressed as Snow White as a twenty year old. Jonathan found it pretty adorable when she told him, reminiscing how he also had some matching costumes with Will when he was little.
But convincing her sister to dress up like a princess with her was easy. Now came the hardest part of her little master plan. She and Nancy went to talk to Mike, who was in his basement, as usual. Holly started explaining her idea, and while cheesy, Mike thought that dressing up as a prince for her little sister wasn't the worst thing that could happen to him.
But Holly didn't want a prince. She wanted her trio of princesses. And the second princess' spot was reserved for the second child.
"Absolutely not!" Mike's response was immediate. He wasn't gonna go around Hawkins, trick or treating with his sisters in a ballgown dress. No way. But Holly didn't fret, she expected that reaction.
"But Nancy is dressing up too! We need the middle princess!" Holly begged. Mike was still shaking his head. "...And I know blue is your favorite color, so I kept that one for you."
Ouch. Holly was using her puppy eyes stare, the one that melted mom and dad even in the toughest situations. Mike knew it was on purpose and he didn't wanna back down, but he'd be damned if he was gonna let his baby sister be sad on halloween night. Her first proper halloween night. Some of Mike's fondest memories were of previous halloweens, laughing with his friends and having way too much sugar in one night. But dressing up in a sparkly blue dress all night? It was too much.
"Do you remember that time I dressed up as an elf for one of your D&D games? I did that in front of your friends, and I stayed in character the whole time. If I could do that for a whole day, you can spend less than three hours in a princess dress." Touché. This was Holly's second weapon, Nancy making sassy remarks right into Mike's ego. If one thing was clear is that Mike never backed down from that. Making sassy comments was his thing, and both girls knew how to use that in their advantage. For a seven year old, Holly was suspiciously smart and skilled in getting her way, she knew exactly where to hit, and that tiny soft spot Mike had for her eventually made him surrender.
"Fffffffine... I'll do it. Just for one night though." Holly's smile was huge, and Nancy had a smirk on her face. "You only need one night. After that your carriage is back into being a pumpkin." Nancy laughed, going up the stairs. "Hilarious, Nance. Really funny." Mike's voice was monotone, knowing this was only the first of many jokes to come. Holly went up to Mike and gave him a hug, planting a small kiss on his cheek. "Thanks, Mike! This is gonna be so much fun!" Holly went up the stairs too, with a skip in her step. Mike heard how she immediatly went to tell their mom, clearly not trying to keep her voice down.
He let a out a defeated sigh, collapsing back into the sofa. And that is how Mike Wheeler ended up dressing up as Cinderella as a sixteen year old.
Wow okay this was supposed to be just a silly idea but ended up as a whole ficlet but tbh I'm kinda proud of how it turned out.
This was barely scratching the surface, I still have the idea of the party's reaction after they find out Mike is dressing up as a princess for halloween, and how in an attemp to definetly not miss that glorious moment they decide to scrap their costume ideas and do something Disney related so they can blend in with Holly and also laugh at Mike right to his face (affectionately). But I'm having waaay too much fun with this so I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna pick this idea and run, turning it into a proper fanfic because I desperately wanna write the dialoge of Max, Lucas and Dustin laughing their asses off, Eleven being geniuenly excited to dress up as something Disney as I imagine Max introduced her recently to the classics, and most of all I wanna write Will's internal struggle of realising the boy he likes is about to dress up as a princess and how insanely funny that is, but also not wanting to laugh too much about it so that Mike isn't too upset about it. Mike is already regretting the moment he opened his mouth suggesting to accompany Holly and the party CANNOT wait for halloween night to come, because they already know it's gonna be one of their best ones.
Yeah so that's it, if you managed to reach all the way down here hi omg ily <3 and it would mean the world to me if you reply or tag this saying what you thought about it, it's the first time I actually upload any of my fanfics and I don't expect many people to see it but still, ily <3

Hellfire Halloween
Tumblr media
I forgot to post this yesterday oops! Just some headcanons of the different members enjoy!
Eddie
🔥Writes a one-shot D&D campaign the Friday before Halloween. It’s filled with ghosts, monsters, and maybe even a vampire….and yes costumes are required
🔥Eddie dresses up like Ozzy Osbourne and gets annoyed when no one gets it. “Why are you carrying around a bat?” “Are you seriously asking me that Henderson!? I thought I taught you better!”
🔥Forces Dustin to go trick or treating so he can have some of the candy “Eddie I’m in high school now I-” “Shut up Henderson and just go”
🔥Wayne makes him sit on the porch and pass out candy to the trailer park kids. He secretly loves it and compliments all the costumes. When a young girl dresses as a princess walks up Eddie bows dramatically “For you my lady” dropping a handful of candy into the giggling girls' basket.
🔥When some of the basketball players stop by his doorstep for Halloween drugs Eddie tells them to “Get lost there are kids around” while throwing candy at them.
🔥When the kids start coming by Eddie goes inside and joins Wayne on the couch watching some scary movie on the TV. Eddie holds out the almost empty bowl of candy to Wayne “Nah you're a good boy 🔥you have the rest”
Eddie falls asleep on the couch with a bowl full of candy wrappers and Wayne just laughs draping a spare blanket over him. “Scariest night of the year and you look like a big baby”
Favorite Candy: Hershey’s
Favorite Scary Movie: Young Frankenstein
Gareth
🔥Gareth loves Halloween! The colder weather gives him an excuse to layer up! Scary movies on the tv all the time. And his mom is constantly baking!
🔥Everyone makes fun of his costume! He complains because his mom wouldn't let him get a scary one. “What if it traumatizes your sister Gare?!”
🔥He ends up being a knight because his sister picked out a pretty princess costume and begged her big brother to match. Gareth pretends to be annoyed but secretly would do anything for his sister.
🔥He carries her on his back when her legs get tired and holds her basket full of candy as they make the way back home.
🔥When they get home Gareth dumps out the candy to “go through” for his share! But it's secretly an excuse to check her candy and make sure she wasn't given anything sketchy. There are some freaks in Hawkins!!
🔥Stays up all night watching cartoon Halloween movies with his sister on the couch sharing candy until she falls asleep and Gareth follows. When his mom comes down to check on her kids she gasps and takes a picture of the rare moment. It's printed and hung on the fridge by the next week!
Favorite Candy: Sour Gummy Worms
Favorite Scary Movie: Halloween
Dustin
🔥His mom makes goodie bags for Hellfire Club. They are little pumpkin bags filled with candy for “All the growing boys!”
🔥Dustin loves Halloween but starts to feel conflicted now that he is in high school if he should go trick r treating and dress up.
🔥Calls Suzie late on Halloween night to tell her about all the different candies he got. They stay on the phone watching a Halloween movie ‘together’. Not too scary though because Suzie doesn't like scary movies.
🔥Ask his mom to make him a Frodo costume! Eddie is so proud of his boy wearing the costume he makes someone take a picture.
🔥He picks out all the really good candy and full-size bars and lets his mom go through the candy before he lets Eddie get his share
Favorite Candy: 3 Musketeers
Favorite Scary Movie: Psycho
Mike
🔥Doesn't dress up because he ‘forgot’ mainly because he was lazy and didn't want to. When the other members ask him what his costume is (his everyday look) he just says “Oh I’m a……loser!”
🔥Thinks he’s too cool for Halloween now. Doesn't go trick or treating with Holly or Dustin he just sits at home and watches tv….not even scary movies!!
Favorite Candy: Twizzlers
Favorite Scary Movie: Alien
Lucas
🔥Dresses up as a famous basketball player and all the members get annoyed because they thought he didn't dress up “Sinclair! I said costumes were required!”
🔥His mom forces him to go trick-or-treating with Erica. He stands back and complains the entire time. Mainly because when he gets too close Erica and all her friends start making fun of him
Favorite Candy: Skittles
Favorite Scary Movie: Halloween (its Max’s favorite)
Erica
🔥Loves Halloween! Candy? And all she has to do is knock on some doors…..she’s in!
🔥Erica is the reason they didn't do the Halloween campaign on Halloween night. Erica has to go trick or treating and stay the night at Tina's. They need Lady Applejack to save the day!
🔥Definitely, the one to suggest a candy trade-off when they get to Tina “I’ll give you these M&M's for 3 suckers…..What do you mean of course it’s a good deal!”
🔥Dresses up as a My Little Pony character while making fun of Lucas’s costume
Favorite Candy: Lollipops especially cotton candy and cherry-flavored ones
Favorite Scary Movies: Erica doesn't do scary moves
Jeff
🔥Does not like scary movies or anything scary at all! You thought Eddie got scared easily? Nope, Jeff is the biggest scardey cat of the Hellfire members. Poor guy just wants it to b Thanksgiving so he can cook
🔥He dresses up as a cat or something basic for Halloween. None of the members question it (they have Gareth to make fun of)
🔥Definitely complains about having a tummy ache when he eats too much candy
Favorite Candy: Paydays
Favorite Scary Movie: Does It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown count?
Freak 1
🔥I feel like he would dress up as a pro wrestler or try to dress up as Eddie as a joke and makes Eddie mad
🔥Stays inside and watches scary movies all night on Halloween he just leaves a bowl of candy on the porch
🔥 He invites Jeff over to watch movies and laughs every time Jeff gets scared which is basically the entire time.
Favorite Candy: Snickers
Favorite Scary movie: Jaws

It's been a while so I hope I still got it 😊

Harry Styles and The Most Difficult Time of the Year!
Tumblr media
It's here! The first one-shot for my Holiday Spectacular.
“Lovie, we’ve been at this for hours, are you done yet?” H asked me. H as in Harry Styles, my boyfriend, who is being a very good sport while helping me with my Christmas Shopping.
“I’d be closer to being done if you would actually tell me what you want for Christmas H.” I reply in a slightly snarky manner as ive been attempting to get my answer to this question out of him since September.
“All I want for Christmas is You, baby.” H said back.
“Mariah Carey? Seriously H?” I say before turning into a kitchenware stall at the Christmas Market, and selecting a bells with holly cookie cutter for my mother. I’ve been giving her one every year since I was 6 and she let me help her make the sugar cookies. “Now I just need something for your mum,” I say after tucking the cookie cutter into the bag with the gifts for my dad, sister, and brother.
“I already have our gift for my mum.” H says to me, and quite matter of factly at that. “Now come on, let's get some cocoa to go, I wanna wrap you up, tie you in a bow, and put you under the Christmas tree for me.” You both laugh at that.
A few hours later, you've finally returned from the market and are getting your big wrapping station set up in your art room. It's huge. Big enough for quite literally every medium of art you do. Harry was happy to adjust his renovation plans when you agreed to move in with him just shy of a year ago. There are only two things in this lower level, your art room, and Harry's Studio. The music softly making its way through the sound panels for the instruments and that first croon Harry does. Though lately, Harry has been having the sound proofing on so nothing goes beyond his studio walls. And whenever you ask him about it his answer is the exact same, “You'll hear it one day Lovie, it is for you after all. Not until that one day though, there will be no spoilers.” That last line is your favorite because he glares at his mates, Mitch and Kid especially since he knows you're pretty close with them.
Now as Harry is chilling in the lounge chair in your art room singing acoustic Christmas songs while you wrap gifts, you stop every so often and turn to him.
“H, I need the present for your mum so I can wrap it.” You say and he just smiles at you before getting himself back into the song.
Finally after hours of wrapping, Anne's gift is the only one left and you still don't have it.
“Harold Edward Styles, I need the gift for your mum, NOW!” You give him your best death glare, hoping it will scare him at least a little bit, after all, you're no fun when you're mad.
He runs over to the studio and comes back with a little black wooden ring box with Le Raoulivere engraved into it. He sets it in your hands and you open it automatically.
“It's empty H.”
“Mum's old one for the ring from Robin broke, so we're getting her a very, very nice new one.” H says and I go to wrap it in the blue snowflake paper I have when h interrupts again. “Can you use the sleeping puppies wearing Santa hats one instead please love?” He asks very politely and you just sigh before wrapping it up in the paper Harry wanted.
“Thank you my love!” He says with a kiss when the bin is all packed up with the presents.
*****
December 24th
We're all dressed up. Harry has on his suit he hugged Stanley Tucci in at the Brits. You're in a midi silver dress with white Mary Janes and a small white clutch. The house is decorated, the presents are under the tree, the appetizers are in the ovens, and the doorbell is ringing. Plenty of time to calm down and not freak out. Shit wait, that's the doorbell.
“They're here H.” You holler and run over to let everyone in. “Merry Christmas Eve!”
Your family and H’s family are both here. Your mum, Dad, sister, and brother, Anne, Desmond, Gemma and Michal, Mike and Amy were invited, but had other plans. Everyone mingled with appetizers while you and Harry prepped the lasagnas. When they were done you all sat around the table smiling and laughing with each other. After dinner you turned on the fireplace and some soft tunes while doing gifts. When Anne unwrapped the one from you and Harry, she just smiled at you. It was a bit confusing at first, until the music switched. Harry was suddenly more anxious, and everyone else was just watching the two of you.
“What's going on?” You whispered to Harry. He smiled, pulled you over to stand in front of the Christmas tree with him, and said, “Y/N.”
You instinctively replied, “Yes H?”
“Y/N, it's the title of this song.” He answered back and let the lyrics wash over you both. You realized they were telling the story of the two of you, from colliding in a rainstorm, to you having almost no clue who he was, the time you spent apart, and him showing up at your doorstep soaking wet from rain ready to do whatever it took to get you back, and finally his little dreams for the life ahead of you two. The last line of the song was, “All you have to do is say yes to me.”
He knelt before you, took the box from Anne, and pulled the ring out of his pocket. “Mum's been on my case lately, she knew I wanted to marry you before I did. So our real gift to her, only if you want it too, is us, because all I want for Christmas is you to agree to be my wife. I love you Y/N.”
“I love you too H. And yes, yes I want to be your wife!” You let out between tears.
After sliding the ring onto your finger, H kisses you and whispers, “best Christmas ever.”
“I made you a new pendant.” You whispered back.
“I'll love it, but even more so because it's from you.”

Is it possible if you do a Holly wheeler and any character interaction? It would be super cute! ˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
Hi!! I hope this is cute enough!
Steve is Holly's favorite of Nancy's friends. Jonathan is nice, but he's quiet and almost always focused on Nancy. The girls in Nancy's newspaper club usually just squeal over how cute she is and tell her that they love her dresses. Which is nice, but they treat her like a baby. And Holly isn't a baby anymore!
She's six years old, in kindergarten, and can stick her head underwater because Mr. Billy taught her how to!
She likes Mr. Billy too but he's more Steve's friend than Nancy's. Sometimes Nancy calls Mr. Billy a burnout and Holly doesn't know what that is, but it doesn't sound nice.
Mike's friends are all gross and they like to take her toys. And most everyone doesn't pay attention to Holly. Because she's little, even though she's really good at listening to people. She knows things!
Steve is different. He always treats her like she's six. A big girl, who knows lots of stuff about the world and who is going to school to learn even more.
Steve doesn't go up to Nancy's room anymore, now he sits in the living room when he comes over and sometimes he sits by Holly and helps her with a puzzle instead of hanging out with Nancy and Jonathan. Sometimes he brings Billy and they'll all have a contest to see who can hold their breaths the longest.
Steve brought over banana bread earlier, said his mom made it. He even let Holly cut her own slice, with supervision and let her spread the butter over it.
She likes Steve because he treats her like Holly and not just Nancy's little sister.
Steve's on the couch, flicking through the newspaper Dad discarded earlier, trying to not look interested in Nancy's conversation with Robin. Robin's cool too, but she doesn't have conversations with Holly like Steve does.
Holly climbs up beside him, her coloring book clutched in one hand so she can show him the newest one she did. She even colored in all the lines!
Steve puts down the newspaper, smiling at her. "Whatcha got there, Holly?"
Holly opens her book to the picture of the cat she colored in. She even gave it patches of color even though the lines didn't come drawn like that. "I colored this earlier."
Steve takes it, looks it over for a long time, nodding and humming his approval. "This is very good, Holly! You should ask Mommy to hang it up for you."
Holly thinks about all the pictures already hanging on the fridge and shakes her head, pigtails flying. "You can have it, but you have to rip it out."
Steve turns his smile to her and chuckles, nodding at the idea. "Okay, deal."
He sets the book down on the coffee table and gently tears the page out, looking at it a moment longer. He folds it up carefully and tucks it into his pocket, patting it once for safe keeping.
"I'll hang it up on my fridge, okay? And when you come swimming you'll be able to see it."
Holly nods eagerly, a bright grin on her face. Nancy has lots of friends, but Steve really is her favorite.

the beating of our hearts is the only sound
Mike is going to a wedding. His favorite part isn't the food, or the actual wedding part. Oh no. His favorite part is the dancing. Why? Because Will is there, of course. And he is going to ask Will to dance perfectly normally in a very romantic and cute way. Hopefully. Probably.
TW/CW: swearing
Words: 2.7k
ahaha byler at a jopper wedding and mike being awkward enjoy
the beginning was inspired by a tumblr post by @imyoursgiogio !!
Alright, you can do this.
Mike straightened his tie, which, weirdly, was starting to feel like it was strangling him.  He stared straight ahead with a look that was…seductive? But also cute. And inviting.  And wow, was he already completely failing at this.
“Hey,” Mike offered a half smirk, “wanna…” he paused, motioning around his room, eyebrows quirking up, “y’know?”
Oh my god.
Internally, Mike slapped himself in the face.  He scanned his appearance again, in the mirror, and immediately felt as though he looked like he’d just rolled out of bed.  His stomach was in knots.  Okay, again.
Mike cleared his throat, offering his mirror finger guns and making an odd clicking noise with his mouth. “Hey,” he whispered, “wanna dance- oh god, that’s even worse.”
Again.
“Hey, I was just wondering, y’know, there’s music, and stuff, and we both don’t have dancing partners, and like, it’s a wedding, you kind of need to dance- goddamnit.”
Again.
“Dance with me? Like, now?”
FUCK.
“I love you and I want you to put your arms around me and-”
“Mike? Who’re you talking to?”
And just like that, Mike saw his entire life flash before his eyes.  He turned around, trying not to implode.  Holly tilted her head curiously back at him.  Mike could’ve sworn he saw the hint of a smirk flash across her face, but he hoped that maybe he just imagined it.
“I- uh- no one.”
“I heard you talking.  You were trying to ask someone to dance.”
“Just…uh…practicing.”
“For what?”
“Nothing,” Mike sighed, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.  Sometimes he forgot he had a little sister who was more than happy to barge in on him anytime she pleased. “Why are you in here, anyways?”
“Mom says it’s time to go.  The wedding is starting soon and you’re taking forever.”
“Right.  Fuck.  Sorry.  Shit, shit, shit…” Mike straightened his tie absentmindedly before bolting out of his bedroom, leaving Holly in the dust.  His stomach was in knots, and he was so nervous that he neglected to think of the fact that he just accidentally taught Holly two new swear words. He’d definitely be hearing that from his mom later.
***
The ride to the venue was, in Mike’s mind, terrifying.  Holly was staring into his soul and he was fidgeting in his seat and if he could’ve jumped out of the car and ran there himself he would have.  He didn’t have a plan.
“Mike, are you okay, sweetie? You look…pale,” Karen commented, looking nervously into the passenger seat where Mike sat.
Mike snapped out of his nervous daze, whipping his head around to look at his mother.  “Fine! Just excited!” His voice was about three octaves too high, and Karen definitely noticed.  She removed a hand from the steering wheel, using it to place a hand on Mike’s shoulder.
“Hey, it’s okay if you’re a little nervous.  It’s been a hard year… years, for all of us.”  Karen looked at both Mike and Holly, offering them a soft smile. “But I want both of you to have fun today, alright?  It’s a big day for Joyce and Jim.  And Will, and Jonathan…”
Mike’s mother kept talking, but he neglected to actually hear what she was saying.  His stomach was currently doing backflips.
How is everyone else so calm about this?
Oh right.  That’s why.
As the Wheelers stepped out of the car, Mike took notice of the Party standing on top of the hill.  Everyone was there.
Ranger, Mage, Bard, Zoomer…
Wait.
“Hey, Mike.”
Fuck.
Mike coughed awkwardly, trying his best to look Will in the eye. “Hey.”
Without realizing he was doing it, Mike looked Will up and down, taking in his full appearance.  He was wearing a suit and tie that fit him really well, and his usual bowlcut was styled in such a way that made Mike’s heart nearly stop beating.  It was tousled, and clearly had some sort of hairspray in it (Mike half wondered if Steve had helped Will out) and wow, Will looked about a thousand times better than he did.
“C’mon.  Everyone’s waiting for you.  Nancy was getting worried.”
“Right.”
Will began walking up the hill towards the Party; Karen was busy talking to Lucas’s mother; and Mike was frozen in place.
“Mike.  Are you just gonna stand there?”
Mike flinched, looking down at his little sister, standing, forgotten, by his side.
“What- oh- yeah.”
Holly smirked, giving her brother a playful shove. “I hope you get to dance tonight.  Wouldn’t want all that practice to go to waste.”
Mike seriously wanted to die.
***
So far, the night was going smoothly.
So far.
It’d only been about an hour.  The procession had started, and Mike was sitting amongst the Party minus Will and El due to the fact that they wanted to sit up front to see Joyce and Hopper.  Everyone looked beautiful, and Mike knew he was supposed to be staring at the bride and groom and the pretty dresses and Erica who was scurrying down the aisle and throwing flowers on everyone (mostly Lucas- she’d used up half her basket of petals dumping them on his head) but he couldn’t manage to tear his eyes away from the brown haired, hazel eyed, absolutely stunning creature that was Will Byers (nearly Hopper-Byers) sitting up front.
His heart wouldn’t stop pounding.
He must’ve stared off into oblivion because the next thing he knew he heard “you may kiss the bride!” and a lot of clapping and cheering.  And some crying (he could’ve sworn it was coming from Max but she was sure to wipe the tears away before she thought anyone would notice).  Mike shook himself, clapping and cheering along with everyone else.  He was happy for Joyce, and Hopper, and El, and Jonathan, and…
Will turned around.  For a moment, everything around Mike seemed to slow as hazel eyes met brown.  Will was smiling, and it seemed as though all of the sunlight that had bathed the wedding was coming from him.  His eyes glistened as he looked at Mike, and he felt so close.  So close that Mike could reach out, pull him in, and wrap him in a tight embrace that lasted for an eternity.
Then, just like that, the moment was over.
Will sat down again, and Mike’s heart stopped racing.  He swallowed hard, sitting back down.  He felt very hot, even though it was a rather cool evening.
But, despite this- he felt better.  Stronger.
Just a few more hours.
***
Mike was beginning to regret where he had decided to sit for dinner.
He figured it wasn’t that big of a deal.  It wasn’t a super big wedding dinner like rich people always had.  Just a buffet with various foods to choose from and then some tables to sit at.  Easy.  Plus, Mike was hungry.
Nancy had decided to go sit with Jonathan, Steve, and Robin.  Max and El were in a corner, giggling about something while El bit into a waffle that she had gotten from who-knows-where, Lucas, Dustin, and Erica were having an intense conversation about DnD in another corner of the room, his mother was off fawning over Joyce, and Will…
Well, he was standing.  Alone.  And Mike was sitting by himself, playing with his food and unable to focus.  He inhaled sharply through his nose, glancing over in Will’s direction.  His gaze met Will’s, and oh my god this lighting makes him look so pretty, wait, stop, shut up, and without thinking, Mike motioned him over to the table.  Will gladly complied, plopping down in the seat across from Mike- far enough across that it wasn’t, for lack of a better term, weird.
“So, uh,” Mike mumbled, poking his chicken with his fork, “how does it feel?”
Will raised an eyebrow. “How does what feel?”
“I dunno.  Your mom marrying Hopper.  How does it feel?”  Mike was normally very good at making conversation but now he was failing miserably, and he wanted to choke on his food so he had an excuse to leave the room.
“Normal, I guess.  It’s not much different from before, when they were just dating.  I just thought the whole wedding scene was…I guess…a little boring?” Will chuckled at the last part.
“Oh, yeah.  I get that.  I totally zoned out for most of the ceremony.” Mike instantly regretted saying that, as he had conveniently left out the part explaining why he’d zoned out.
Will laughed at that.  “Shouldn’t have expected anything less.”
“Ha.  Yeah.”
“Yeah.”
There was an awkward silence between the two of them, and Mike fidgeted uncomfortably in his seat.  He needed to find something to talk about.  Now.
“So…uhm…when does the dancing start?”
Will gave him a questioning look. “After dinner?”
“Great.  Cool…that’s, like, my favorite part. Of this- stuff.  Like, the music, and the lights, and…and…dancing…stuff...” with every word, Mike had the increasing urge to launch himself off the top of a building.
“Right,” Will replied, suddenly having gone a rather deep shade of red.
The rest of dinner was spent in uncomfortable silence, with Mike occasionally breaking it to talk about the “great food” and Will simply nodding along.  Mike felt like slapping himself.
This was so much easier with El.
He supposed years of repressed, and then, eventually, open pining could do that to a person. Make them suddenly awkward and about as smooth as a jagged rock.  If Will was picking up on Mike’s poor attempt at flirting, he was definitely not showing it, and Mike didn’t blame him.  Or maybe he just wasn’t picking up on it.  Maybe Mike was stupid to think he should make tonight all about him and Will. He felt like Will was suddenly judging him and he couldn’t handle it.
“I’ve gotta go to the bathroom.” Mike had barely taken any bites of his food, but he didn’t really care.  He just needed to hide.  Immediately.
As soon as he was in the bathroom, he was met with the mirror hanging over the sink.  Mike was sweating.  And shaking.  His tie was crooked.  He’d tied his hair back in a low, messy bun, because hey, he thought it might look cool, but now it looked lopsided.
He was going to be in here for a while.
Might as well get some more practice in.
Mike gulped, adjusting his hair and tie before extending a hand towards the mirror.
“Wanna…dance?”
Oh god.
***
Mike had been joking when he said dancing was his favorite part of weddings.  Actually, this was the first wedding he’d ever been to so he couldn’t possibly have known that.  He’d only really said it in order to impress Will.
But now, he was starting to think that dancing would be his favorite part.
The lighting in the venue room was absolutely stunning.  It was a mix of yellows and blues and all of the colors that brought joy to Mike’s world, to everyone’s world.  He watched as Joyce and Hopper stepped onto the dance floor to have their first dance.  They were soon joined by several other couples that Mike didn’t know, and then Nancy and Jonathan, and then Lucas and Max, and El.  Everyone was having fun.  Even Dustin and Steve were having fun, making up odd dances that Erica was making faces at.
Mike searched the dance floor, looking for a particular face, but in the sea of people, he was left dumbfounded.
“Over there.”
Mike nearly jumped out of his skin.  Holly smiled up at him, pointing a finger towards the other side of the dance floor.  There, Will sat, slouched and looking rather crestfallen.  Mike’s heart dropped.
“I know you like him.  Go dance with him!” With that, Holly skipped away towards Karen, leaving Mike to stand, shaking, staring mindlessly at Will.
Over the speakers around the dance floor, Mike heard the opening sound of “I Think We’re Alone Now” begin to play.  It was a fairly new song; he remembered both him and Will liking it.  For some reason, it was making his heart beat even faster.
Will had finally noticed his staring, and the two locked eyes for the second time that night.  At that moment, the blue and yellow lights met to make green, and Mike was filled with newfound courage.  Without a second thought, he marched across the dance floor.  In the midst of his determination, however, he managed to crash into about five different people and just as he reached Will, he stumbled…
And fell on his face.
Fantastic.
“Shit, Mike, are you alright?” Will quickly offered a hand to help Mike up, and Mike took it without thinking.
The two were face to face, now, and Mike was feeling very woozy.  Maybe he’d hit his head on the way down.  Will’s hair was suddenly looking a lot softer and fluffier and his eyes were sparkling and before he could stop himself, Mike was speaking.  His initial rehearsed piece he was going to recite to Will that he’d made up in the men’s bathroom was thrown out the window.  Okay, it was probably for the better, but still.
“We should dance.”
Will’s eyes widened and maybe it was the lighting, but Mike could’ve sworn he turned red.
“Like-”
“Like, together.”
“The beating of our hearts is the only sound…”
A silence befell between them, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Will smiled softly. “Okay.  Lead the way, Michael.”
The way Will said “Michael” sent Mike’s heart aflame.  Mike was still gripping Will’s hand that had helped him up from the floor, and everything felt like it was a dream.  Soon, they were in the middle of the dance floor, and even though people were surrounding them on every side, it felt as though they were the only ones in the room.  Mike thought he’d be more nervous about this, but all he felt was calm.
“Running just as fast as we can…”
Gently, ever so gently, Mike guided his hands to Will’s waist as Will wrapped his arms around Mike’s neck.
“Holding onto one another’s hand…”
The room was dark, but Will lit it up.
“Trying to get away into the night…”
They swayed to the music, and Mike pulled Will closer to him.  This felt so natural.
“And then you put your arms around me…”
Will smirked, gripping Mike’s tie and pulling him down to his height.  Mike only had about two inches on Will, but now it felt like several feet.
“And we tumble to the ground and then you say…”
“Your hair,” Will remarked, “it looks good tied back.”
Mike couldn’t stop himself. “You just look really good.  Right now.”
“I think we’re alone now…”
Now Mike could properly see.  As Will was briefly bathed in yellow light, Mike could clearly see the blush staining his cheeks.  They were so close.  Yet, still, it felt like an eternity.  Everyone else had melted into one, turning into the background noise that neither Will or Mike seemed to acknowledge.
“There doesn’t seem to be anyone around…”
“I’ve always wanted to do this- to dance- with you.  I was trying to be cool about asking you and…sorry I kind of failed.” Mike murmured, embarrassed.
“It’s okay.  We’re dancing now….and…”
“And?”
“I think we’re alone now…”
Will looked at him, the glimmer that Mike had been seeing all night filling his eyes.  Mike’s heart would not stop hammering against his ribcage, but for once, he didn’t mind.
They were at a crowded wedding, in the middle of a dance floor, but they were alone.  Their love was for them alone.  And Mike was leaning in, and so was Will, and the music stopped, time stopped, everything froze as green light was casted upon them and their lips met.
It was clumsy, and only lasted about five seconds, but it was enough.
“The beating of our hearts is the only sound…”
Brown eyes met hazel, and for the first time that night, Mike was okay.  As he swayed to the music, as he felt Will’s arms around him, he knew it was okay.  The practicing in the mirror, the butterflies, the awkwardness…
It was all worth it.  Because now, they were here, together, and suddenly, it didn’t matter anymore.

I AGREE😭😭💗 HOLLY IS SO UNDERRATED WE NEED MORE OF HER SO BADLY!!!
nancy and mike as well. just more wheeler family dynamics all across the board bc i am Obsessed with them!!
yeah that scene was very emotional to write😭😭 he’s come so far and i’m so proud of him!! (is the one actively writing his character arc)
love me a good parallel🫡🫡
THANK YOU THAT’S ONE OF MY FAVORITE SCENES AS WELL💗💗💗 and yes i’m so excited to write the fic version!!
i’m so glad you liked this episode, thank you SO much for this comment! i don’t get as many comments on my scripts (understandably) as i do on my fic, but i really appreciate when people give me feedback :) i’m so happy that you’re enjoying them!

Holly's Letter
Years after she last saw her brother and sister, Holly sees the book A Collection of Queer Photography in the stores. It gives her the courage to reach out to them again. This is her letter.
On AO3.
Ships: byler & jargancy, Holly has a husband
Warnings: mentions of past homophobia (vaguely)
~~~~~~~~
Dear Nancy and Mike,
I have started this letter a hundred times already now, because I have so much to tell you and yet I don’t know what to say to you at all. It feels odd to introduce myself, but I almost feel like I have to, since I haven’t seen either of you since I was 9 years old. So, hi, I’m Holly, your little sister. My last name is Richardson now and I am married with two kids.
I am writing you both after reading your book. I try to keep an eye out for such things ever since my eldest, Lisa, came out to me, and I hope you can imagine the shock of seeing your faces after so many years. There, right on the cover, were the two of you, just like I remember from my childhood. Thinking back, I must have stood in that book shop for 30 minutes just staring, before a sales associate asked me if I needed any help. Of course I bought the book.
When I came home, I read it completely and I cried. Truly, I did. It is a weird feeling and I hope I can explain it right. It is weird, because you two left and never turned back and I hated you for a long time over it and now I had answers. Suddenly I knew why you left. And it makes so much sense that you would go and while I am angry and sad at how you left, I am so so glad that you two are happy now. That you found a better family.
Mom and dad divorced in in 1991. They tried to keep it together for my sake, but my mom blamed him for you two leaving and dad- well, dad was just dad. It didn’t work out. I lived with mom and barely talk to dad anymore. It seemed like life fell apart when you two left.
Before now, I never put work into finding either of you. The lack of the internet made it harder, but it was more that I thought you wouldn’t want me there. Like mom, I blamed myself for you leaving, I didn’t understand. Now I do.
I showed mom the book too, she never gave it back, so I bought another copy for myself. I think she has spend days already flipping through the pages and lingering on your faces. I can’t say I blame her, me and my eldest have gone through it together and I told her about her aunt and uncle. All the little things I can still remember from when you still came home. We laughed and we cried and she hugged me. It was a thankful hug and I don’t think I can ever forget it again.
It is probably odd how much I feel like I still relate to you after 28 years, but I do. One of my earliest memories is sitting on the couch with Steve when he was still together with Nancy. I remember the games Mike and the others played in the basement. I remember the fight when you wanted to spend Christmas with the Byers. Little flashes of you, before you were just ghosts haunting family albums and strained conversations with mom or dad.
But it is more than that for me. I never realized how much I am still intertwined with you, even throughout these years without contact. Like, I never realized that the Will Byers, who made my favorite paintings, is the same Will Byers that my older brother was friends with. And I never realized that the article that got mom better pay in 1993 was written by you, Nancy. As a college student I ate at Argyle’s diner with friends after getting drunk. I still braid my hair like Steve taught me. I voted for Erica without making the connection. I also work in education. My husband loves Corroded Coffin. All these little things have bound me to the family you made and that makes me feel connected to you in ways I haven’t in years.
In your book you said you hoped I was okay and that I grew up kind. I hope I am too. I know I grew up okay, I am happy where I am. And I try to be kind, I try to do better. I don’t know if that is enough, but I’m trying. I would love to meet you and your partners. I’d love to catch up with you and hear about everything, even the small things that didn’t make it into the book. And I’d love to tell you about myself and my family too.
Of course, I can understand if you would not want to see me, or if you would, but you’d like not to talk to mom again. I can stand here and tell you how she has changed, how she accepts her granddaughter and treasures the two of you more than her old bigotry, but I don’t think that is my decision to make. So, I’ll leave that to you.
I do hope that you want to see me, that we can catch up and I can get to know your partners more personally, as well as relearn who you two are now. And I hope I can tell you about my husband, Marvin, who is a lawyer, and our two beautiful kids. I’ve already mentioned Lisa, my eldest. She is fifteen now and so smart. She is part of the debate team at her high school and helps run the GSA. Her favorite subject is Math and I’m glad, because I never know how to help Ellie, my youngest, with her Math homework, so her older sister helps her. Ellie is eleven now, already getting way too big for my comfort haha. She’s a little ball of sunshine, always full of energy and smiles. She loves drawing and is so creative. The two are adorable together.
We live in a suburb in a small town near Indiana. I myself work as a preschool teacher nearby, but I only work part time and spend most time looking after the kids while Marvin is at work. We’ve been married for sixteen years now and still going strong. It was so nice to see you also still together with your partners and happy.
I must admit how odd it was to see you grown up. In my mind you two are still the people from ‘89, a young woman and a kid, who just reached into adulthood. Now both of you are fully fledged professionals with families and a career. Just like me.
I know you haven’t been frozen in time, but it felts like it for so long. It is weird to think that you have lived whole lives, had so many experiences, grown so much, and I wasn’t there to see it. Logically, I know the same must be true for you in regards to me, but I can’t help but let it boggle my mind. But I’m glad I got my mind boggled by you looking so happy.
I honestly don’t know if anything in this letter is making sense. No matter how much time has passed since I first picked up your book, my thoughts can’t seem to order themselves. At least not coherently on a piece of paper. However, I do want to reach out and I hope that I’ll get a reply and it will make it easier to place it all.
I also hope that this letter doesn’t come off as accusatory. I admit that I have been bitter in the past, but I have put that behind me. And I completely understand why you did what you did. I think this book has given me the closure I needed to pack away that last inkling that came from not knowing why. Even if this letter gets lost or I never hear back from you, I want to thank you for that.
Rationally, I know I have a thousand more things to tell you, but I’ve also completely blanked on what to say further. So, I’m just going to wrap it up and send it, before I can think about too much and scrap the whole thing again, like I’ve already done so many times.
Much love and kisses,
Holly Richardson
apocalypse byler scenario part 11 but not really byler but heavily implied: mike and nancy talk.
this is a running continuation of my apocalypse scenarios, and this takes place after mike opens up to lucas about getting vecna’d.
after lucas talks in behalf of mike, everyone started to swarm him with worry. in the end, all of them ended up apologizing for not noticing earlier, and even asked about his trauma so they can help.
though mike noticed that nancy wasnt saying anything, and didnt even approach him like the others did. he wanted to think that maybe she was taken aback by the news, not making eye contact with mike or lucas, but mike isnt sure anymore because he doesnt even know his goddamn sister. mike expected this, honestly, he didnt know what their relationship was as siblings anymore.
what? why would i care about you? nancy’s voice in his nightmares start to echo in his head. he felt stupid for wanting to try to open up to her for anything, and the visions served as a good reminder anytime he attempted to. he deserves this.
before everyone’s voices start to clash even more, lucas backed them off and told them to give mike time, much to his appreciation.
so imagine that he received his walkman and started to play his favorite song, he’s asked to be left alone because all the sudden attention and concern was overwhelming to him, even will. he goes and closes the door, and throws himself on his bed, staring at his ceiling as somebody to love by queen plays faintly in the quiet ambience of his dark room. he then hears a loud knock which makes him jump.
‘’goddammit, guys, i said leave me alone!’’
‘’mike, could you please open up? its nancy.’’
that was definitely new for mike. ‘’what do you want?’’
‘’we need to talk.’’
‘’can we please just save this for tomorrow?’’
‘’im serious, mike. just please open up.’’
mike groans loud enough to make sure nancy hears it. he gets up from his bed and lazily opens the door as he gets back to lying down, head buried in his hands. nancy awkwardly stands by. she notices the scattered clothes around his bed and the heaps of trash stacked up on the area of his closet and floor. she wraps her arms around herself and turns to mike. ‘’you okay?’’
‘’yeah, why wouldnt i be?’’ mike says through his hands.
‘’mike, we need to talk about this.’’
‘’there’s nothing to talk about.’’
nancy inhales. ‘’look, i’m just wondering.. why you didnt tell me.’’
‘’there wasnt a right time.’’
‘’mike-‘’
‘’you dont have to pretend to care, alright?’’ mike snaps. ‘’i got my walkman, so you can go.’’
nancy was about to leave but stays by the doorand turns her head.
‘’you think i dont care about you?’’
‘’i dont care about what you think of me.’’
nancy walks back to sit next to mike.
‘’i dont think i told you this, but..he got me too.’’
‘’…he did?’’
‘’yeah.’’
she was fully awake mike wasnt asking but she decides to continue. ‘’i saw barbara…and hawkins. it was torn in half. you, mom, dad, holly, everyone…was suffering. and i couldnt do anything. not for barbara, not for anyone.’’
she inhales before resuming. ‘’i see her face everyday. it reminds me of how i was, and i…hated who i was. who i am. i dont think much has changed. i thought i was doing better, but.. shes always there.’’
mike says nothing.
‘’can i ask what you saw?’’
mike continues his streak of staying silent, still not feigning eye contact with nancy.
‘’..yeah. i get it.’’ nancy says, her voice cracking a bit.
nancy breaks the deafening silence between them as she sighs. ‘’mike, can you at least look at me?’’
it took a while, but mike eventually does as he gets up to meet nancy’s gaze.
‘’’im sorry that i wasnt.. there for you.’’
‘’..you had your own shit, nancy. i dont expect you to babysit me.’’ it was tempted for mike to turn away from her again. he felt way too scrutinized at the moment.
‘’yeah, but look where that turned out. you clearly had a lot in your mind. and.. we both know mom and dad aren’t the easiest people to talk to.’’
mike scoffs at that statement, which makes nancy chuckle.
‘’…and youre my brother,’’ nancy feels herself start to choke up. ‘’youre my little brother, and im supposed to take care of you. god it shouldnt take henry to target you for me to realize that,’’ nancy sniffs and wipes a tear of hers. ‘’im so sorry. but im here now, and i promise you, that ill protect you from him.’’
mike opens his mouth to say something, but finds himself at a loss. this really was the last thing he expected, and he finds himself choking up, as much as hes trying to swallow his own tears back.
‘’and from now on, we’ll tell each other everything.’’
‘’thats what you said last time.’’ mike says, hurt clear on his voice. that was the most vulnerable he’s been that night next to lucas, and he hates himself for opening his goddamn mouth sometimes.
nancy scooches closer to mike’s side and carefully puts her hand on his shoulder. ‘’this time, i mean it.’’
before mike could say anything, nancy pulls him for a tight hug. it took a couple of seconds for nancy to quickly pull away, both siblings flustered and taken aback.
‘’okay, that was of weird.’’ nancy whispers.
‘’yeah, uh…it was.’’
nancy nods awkwardly, her eyes still glued to the floor and hands fisted on her lap.
‘’i’ll leave you alone.’’ nancy gets up from the bed and reaches for the doorknob.
‘’nancy.’’
nancy swiftly turns her head to mike with expectant eyes.
‘’..thanks.’’
she beams at mike, clear relief washing over her, eyes starting to glisten. ‘’get some rest, mike. we’ll talk tomorrow.’’
Top 100 Ladies of TV
Looking at old blog posts, many years ago I did a "100 favorite female characters" list, but I have met so many wonderful new ladies now that it is quite out of date and needs a major update to accommodate them. International Women’s Day seems like the perfect time to do so!
Only this time I'm restricting it to TV characters, or I will die of Overwhelm.
NOTE: This list is not in any kind of order, I just wrote them down as they came to mind. I considered alphabetical, but found it was nicer to keep everyone from a given show together. And rather than starting from scratch, I kept as much of the original list as I could and just added newer favorites on at the end, if you're wondering why some of these Very Old Fandoms are clustered at the top.
Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab
- oh I wish Jonathan was here to get in on the teen fun
- Someone looks like they could be an open target for the mind Flayer with all the attaching those bats did. Let’s get that son of a bitch back in here
- THE WOODS! ARE WE GOING BACK TO S1 GATE?!! PLEASE SAY YES!!!!
- Owens is right dude
- “The door is always open”?? She’s tried to escape twice and you haven’t let her
- “I have guns in my bedroom” I love her
- Uh it’s been like twenty minutes since we last saw Will and Mike. How are they doing??
- I better not see people shipping Hopper and this Russian
- I just missed whatever Hopper’s revelation was and I don’t really want to rewind and figure out what it was
- Someone to fill in the gaps?! Like Kali….nah probably not
- Oh it’s not a real life one
- SERIOUSLY WHERE IS THE CALI GANG? Watch them get two fricken scenes in this final episode
- I thought the air in the upside down was toxic (except for Will Byers) but they’re all just fine and not even trying
- Don’t tell me that Eddie has a crush on Steve. Wait a minute. Am I dreaming??
- Ah no he’s just a wing man trying to ruin Jancy
- What is this toy Holly has? Is she an iPad kid
- WHATS UNDER LUCAS’ BED?!! WHAT KIND OF FCKING PORN DOES HE LOOK AT 😭😭
- Yes Dr Pepper the superior soda thank you Karen Wheeler
- Oh thank goodness they tied this back to the Mind Flayer. Thank you guys so much
- *me scrolling through the episode to see if Mike and Will are in the rest. They aren’t. And I got lots of spoilers*
- Oh shit time has stopped. That explains the clocks!!
- Oh wait I can’t. They did Not make a full episode without Mike and Will. That is not okay. Like not because “Aw they’re my favorite characters” but because they are two of the most central characters. Will IS literally THE central character until they threw him away. And Mike has been the protagonist this entire time, being right up with Joyce and Hopper with the mystery solving. Like is this not messed up to anyone else? I am so glad that they are giving other characters a chance to be in the spotlight and be the heroes and solve the mystery, but does that have to be at the cost of taking away your other characters? Let’s grab Jonathan and Mike, title cast members since season one and now they’re replaced by season two additions like Steve or Max. We have Will who was made a title cast member in season two now being replaced by season three additions like Erica and Robin. I just don’t understand what his show is racing towards. If your characters don’t seem compelling enough to take on different evils, if your storylines aren’t interesting enough that they can be left out of HOUR AND A HALF LONG EPISODES then maybe you need to do a few rewrites before piling more on top to cover it up
- I’m so angry
- Ah it’s a lite brite
- Oh so Will doesn’t have any powers? Got it.
- You can’t play “tender, emotional music” whenever will and mike look at each other AND when jopper reunite. You see what you’re doing here, right?!
- HES NUMBER ONE
- LETS GO OKAY WE’RE BACK
- So wait did El not do shit?!
- Wait fucking tell me right now this is Henry Creel
- Oh shit Nancy’s gone
- ^^kidding. remember how I said I was spoiled? Yeah she gets taken by Vecna
- Oh yeah this is some Stephen King shit. Torture the woman with blood!!
- I want this to be Henry Creel so bad. Taken over by the evil that terrorized his family and then killing others the same way his mother and sister died
- Like it all has to be connected to Vecna, their deaths look the same. And it was super weird that Henry Creel was individually commented on with his dad saying he was “sensitive” and then never talking about him seeing anything weird. And then he didn’t die the same way as the rest of them, he slipped into a coma and then “died” OR WAS KIDNAPPED
- Like what if Henry Creel is Vecna though too. He did that to his family
- I want everything if I’m right. And by everything I mean for Will to come out NOW
- WAIT AM I RIGHT?!!!!
- I AM ARENT I!!!!!!!
- oh my gosh my mind
- thx duffers <3
- No way he’s Spider-Man
- Oh El way to ruin everything. You TRANSPORTED HIM
- And opened the gate uh oh spaghettio
- You’re going to tell me it’s still fucking tattooed there
- No
- Man that’s it. Wow.
- I didn’t see Will or Mike in the goddamn teaser what world is this that they’re so unimportant
Anonymous asked: mike whos your favourite sibling?
unprompted questions || always accepting
Tumblr media
“You want me to pick my favorite sister?” Mike repeated, contemplating the thought momentarily. “I mean, I love both my sisters but I also can’t stand them sometimes, you know? Holly likes to terrorize me constantly, but she’s also less than half my age so I don’t blame her. And Nancy can be a pain in the ass, but she does it because she loves me and wants to protect me. I don’t know how I can sit here and pick a favorite sister. I guess it just depends on the day I’m having? I don’t know,” he concludes with a shrug.
001 tma 002 caejose? OwO
nyeheheh lets see.....
ok lets see for tma
Favorite character: jon, hands down, i care him so much,,,,,,,if i think about him too hard i tear up
Least Favorite character: i hate elias with a passion, but he’s a great character y’know? he serves his purpose (being easy to hate) masterfully
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): oh boi....obvs jonmatin, georgie and melanie <3<3,jon and gerry (and martin why not) oh my....,s1 archives polycule djkasjdk (i know its ooc but....think of the shenanigans, the angst), and the absolute otp, breekon and hope of course
Character I find most attractive: martin pick me up i know u can
Character I would marry: georgie my beloved (and also probably the most reasonable of them all lmao)
Character I would be best friends with: i wanna say tim, i loved his energy. or maybe mike crew if i were of the fucked up side of things <3
a random thought: i would listen to the full what the ghost podcast xD
An unpopular opinion: oh i have no clue what opinions are popular lmao and i gotta rewatch it soon djaks
My Canon OTP: jonmartin, what can i say
My Non-canon OTP: probably s1 polycule djsakdj
Most Badass Character: addelard dekker hes the best
Most Epic Villain: the whole stranger theatre thing was unmatched awesome to listen to, idk about a particular villain though
Pairing I am not a fan of: anything with Michael,,,
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):
Favourite Friendship: i live for the georgie and jon friendship, both pre and post dating
Character I most identify with: probably martin just giving tea to everyone and trying to minimize the tense energy(?
Character I wish I could be: oh boi i hope i dont become any of them djkasjdka
oh wow this is,,,,longer than i thought it would xD no backing out now djaksdj
for caejose...
When I started shipping them: the training scene at the oil pillar, but  the ice cliff scene...that did it for me
My thoughts: djasfkhjkadhfjkadhadfjadfadjlka
What makes me happy about them: i love their dynamic,,,theyre just dumbasses your honor
What makes me sad about them: i dont even need to say it
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: i hate it when they just hate eachother’s guts, like, all they’re interactions are just downright hostile like......cmon. ALSO when people tear down susie q so she isnt in the way or something ;-; i havent come across many of those but i hate them
Things I look for in fanfic: the soft moments when they let their guard down around the other and go “huh maybe he isn’t just an absolute dumbass........oh..........”
My wishlist: (idk what this means so this is just my ideal everyone lives dynamic) dumbass old men bicker while trying to save the world, more at 11
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: on the one hand, i love me some good old everyone lives caejoseq au......on the other hand those two are divorced as fuck djaksdjak
My happily ever after for them: everyone lives (of course), joseph is dating both caesar and susie q, they raise Holly together <3. eventually joseph meets tomoko and even though they split up in good terms, both caesar and susie q know about her (i think they’d get along and team up to bother joseph, just saying), so when josuke is born he idk spends the holidays with the three of them and holly is the best older sister ever the end(?
