ok but consider: Holly knew Will pretty much her whole life, he visits the Wheelers so often that he sometimes ends up helping Mike babysit her. and well little Holly loves him of course! he's always so kind and gentle and she loves and admires his art and so he always helps her to get better and he always compliments no matter what she draws and she just loves him so much!
so much that little Holly starts talking about how she's gonna marry him when she grows up.
and Mike ..well he's Mike ...so of course he's jealous. he knows it's stupid but also hey if Will is going to marry any Wheeler it's going to be him you little shit-

50s or 60s au idk where homophobia isn't like um. real <3 and will is a poor prep and mike is a rich greaser and it's all cute and gay.
will wants mike to give him a ride on his motorcycle and pouts at him until he relents (as if mike hasn't been daydreaming abt this scenario for ages). mike's brain short circuits the first time he feels will hold on to him, and his heart threatens to leap out of his chest whenever he starts giggling and woo!-ing in his ear.
they often share a milkshake at benny's burgers where will talks and talks and talks and mike makes the conscious and incredibly valiant, taxing effort to pay equal enough attention to both him and his lips. (will flicks some of the milkshake glass's condensation at him and tells him my eyes are up here, mike.)
mike lets will eat the cherry n kisses away the whipped cream from the corner of his lips. he very chivalrously and mercifully does not comment on how red will blushes after, because he's a very good boyfriend. (he waits until later to bring it up ofc, specifically when will's gotten a little smug and off-guard.)
will is always locking arms with him and mike is always putting his arm around will's shoulders. mike gives will his leather jacket when will's cold and will ignores mike's many protests and just shoves his still-warm sweater over mike's head whenever he's CLEARLY shivering but refusing to so much as admit tht it's even a bit nippy outside.
will fixes his hair for him after and tells him while giggling that he looks like an angry bird right now. mike just blows his hair out of his face and glares at him without any bite to it bc he turns into a softie around will sure but also bc he's kind of screaming inside at the fact tht will's sweater smells just like him which means he'll smell just like him now and it's so warm and Oh My God He Was Wearing This And Now I'm Wearing It And That's Kind Of Like A Hug If You Think About It And—

Nancy scheming to get you under the mistletoe!
okay i don't know how much i like this one. i kept going back and forth between loving it and hating it, but go figure. it's also longer (5k+ words yikes) but i combined with one of my other anon requests for a steddie mistletoe kiss! i received two of those, so there's still one coming that'll be just steddie. :-) anyways, enjoy <3
"who put that there?" (nancy wheeler x gn!reader)
warnings: none! this is gn!reader, with a side of steddie, and a mention of jewish dustin henderson because i very much stand by that headcanon (it's only mentioned in passing though). if anything, i'm going to put a warning for bad writing. sorry in advance if it isn't very good
Steve was surprisingly good at being sneaky. It had been quite a feat to learn the skill, considering he never needed it growing up as his parents were never around to give him a need to be cunning in the slightest, but it had started to come in handy with his friends.
Especially in moments like these.
Nancy hadn’t heard him arrive. Her mother had let him in and told him that she was down in the basement, finishing up last minute decorations for their holiday party that he had arrived early for. There was still an hour, give or take, until everyone else would probably begin arriving. Nearly two hours until the set time for the get-together to begin. So he’d descended the stairs into the basement with unintentional grace, his shoes left beside the door, and somehow managed to not make a single wooden step creak under the weight of his sock-clad feet.
The sight before him almost caused him to give himself away.
The decorations were gorgeous and well thought out, just as he had expected, but there was one noticeable detail to him immediately. It hit him when he caught sight of the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling at the top of the stairs and then another one at the bottom of the stairs. And then, he glanced around the room, and he realized there were more. A dozen mistletoes all hanging inconspicuously at random locations throughout the basement. One over the window where they’d have a clear, wistful view of the snow falling outside. One a few paces from the couch, in an area that was usually utilized for people to step aside and have private conversations during the hustle and bustle of these hang-outs. One hanging over the punch bowl that was set up on the long table Nancy had decorated with snacks and small table-top decorations. Every spot that had potential for two people to end up next to each other, alone, there was a mistletoe.
Nancy was currently on top of an unsteady stool, nearly leaning up on her tippy-toes as she stretched to be able to reach the ceiling above Mike’s table he used to utilize for D&D nights. They didn’t host them as often as they used to, so the table was currently home to several board games as well as a menorah with Dustin Henderson in mind. Nancy Wheeler was also inclusive to her younger brother’s friends, no matter how many times they’d gotten on her nerves over the years.
“Wheeler, what’s up with all the mistletoes? Are you trying to turn this into a different kind of party or something?” Steve finally announces himself once Nancy has safely pinned up her final sprig and has her feet planted back on the steady ground.
She still jumps and turns to Steve with wide eyes, like a young child caught stealing cookies, “God, Steve! Don’t scare me like that!”
“You didn’t answer my question,” Steve continues as he steps down from the final step he’d been hovering on while watching her, “Are you trying to play matchmaker tonight or something? Are you trying to kiss someone?”
“I-I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Nancy defends herself with a red face and diverted eyes, hands reaching up to fuss with her hair out of instinct. It was her clear-tell sign of nerves; she’d fiddle with the ends of her curls, twisting them around her knuckles and tugging gently on each one, “I just hung up one of them by the door and this one here. That’s all.”
Steve fights the urge to roll his eyes, “Nance, I can see them. Everywhere.”
Nancy flushes further from being caught in her lie. She gives herself away when her eyes flick to a few of the mistletoes Steve had caught sight of this.
This was unusual. This wasn’t like Nancy. Usually, she had a strong poker face. She was always one of the strongest contenders for winning at game nights.
“Oh, is that what those are?” she squeaks, continuing to be uncharacteristically nervous, “I had no idea. I just thought they were cute.”
“You, Nancy Wheeler, are many things. Determined, brave, head-strong, and more - but you are not dumb. I know you aren’t dumb, and I know you knew they were mistletoes. So out with it, who are you trying to kiss?”
He watches her physically gear up as if she’s preparing another lie, but her shoulders slump before she even utters a word of it, accepting imminent defeat. She’s deflated, voice barely audible when she softly sighs out your name. She stiffens and expects Steve to react in some awful type of way, to either scold her or crush her dreams. It’s not that that’s Steve’s normal way of going about things; she just knew her silly crush was simply ridiculous. It’s why she’d never told any of her friends - they were sure to make fun of her for such an outlandish dream of you and her, her and you, together.
But the two of you just made sense to her. Through the haze of oddity and her self-indulgent skepticism, she felt like it really did make sense that she wanted you this way. You two had grown close over the last few months. Moments alone were filled with soft touches and aching laughter. Countless Friday nights filled with incessant sleepovers, endless Saturday mornings filled with breakfast with her family who adored you. Even Mike had warmed up to you, and vice versa, as the two of you had taken to arguing like siblings finally. You’d even learned how to handle Holly, how to keep the young girl entertained and cared for in order to give Mrs. Wheeler a break as she busied herself with making pancakes for the family. On the occasions you joined them for dinner, you’d even managed to get her to eat her vegetables without a fuss.
It was adorable, and endearing, and wonderful. The way you fit into her life so effortlessly. How could she not fall for you?
So it made sense to her. But she didn’t expect it to make sense to her friends, especially not Steve.
“I knew it!” he suddenly shouts, though, and Nancy is caught off guard.
“What?”
“I knew it,” he cheers happily, brightly smiling at Nancy’s revealed secret, “Oh, God. I can’t wait to shove it in Buckley’s face. She owes me five dollars and shift coverage. This is amazing.”
Nancy stands baffled, creases forming between her brows as she grapples both with his excitement and the pieces coming together for her. Her friends knew.
“You guys bet on this?”
“Sort of. We just knew you liked them. Was hard to miss when you’re usually so subtle, Nance.”
Steve had once been on the receiving end of Nancy Wheeler’s crushing tendencies. Those heart eyes, those longing glances and attempts at flirting that remained so subtle they couldn’t even be considered flirting. All of that still remained when it came to her and you, but there was something more.
After everything Nancy had gone through these recent years, it had been impossible to not melt for you. And Steve watched in awe at the puddle that had become of her.
“Who else knows?” Nancy demands, taking a few steps towards the boy.
So they knew. And it made sense to them, too?
“Bets were only between me and Robin. Mike overheard us and made a face, but the kid was awfully quiet whenever we’d talk about it-”
“You guys talked about us? What?” Nancy nearly shrieks, having to be mindful to keep her tone down so as to not startle her parents upstairs.
“Nancy Wheeler, certified badass who has threatened to shoot our kneecaps on multiple occasions, going impossibly soft for someone? It was hard to not talk about it. Sorry,” Steve shrugs and it’s clear his apology is insincere. He’s still looking giddy from righteousness, practically buzzing to collect on his bet with Robin. He nods towards a small box mostly empty, once having held the decorations now turning the basement into something magical, “Either way, you’ve got anymore of those things? Dustin was being a butthead about how I’ll never make the first move on Munson, and now I’m a man on a mission.”
Nancy nearly chokes on her spit, “Munson? You and Eddie?” Steve remains nonchalant, but he’s gone as cherry red as Nancy had at her own admittance, “I- yeah. I have like, two more in there.”
“Thank you,” he claps, immediately moving to grab the two bundles of superstition and shoving them into his pocket.
“You don’t seem nearly nervous enough about kissing Eddie,” Nancy murmurs, squinting her eyes accusingly at her ex-boyfriend before it clicks, “Oh my God. Robin bet on the two of you with Dustin.”
Steve just grins wickedly, pulling out a mistletoe, waving it tauntingly in the air, cheeks still crimson, “I get fifty percent cut if she wins. Sue me.”
Nancy pinches back her wide smile, shaking her head softly at Steve and Robin’s antics.
They both knew Steve wasn’t only kissing Eddie for a few bucks, but Nancy had bigger problems on her mind than his lovelife. Problems in the shape of you, the shape of your lips, and how she could possibly end up beneath one of her mistletoes with you.
Everyone arrives about an hour after Steve. He helped Nancy finish bringing down all the snacks for the night, plugging in the small Christmas tree in the corner and helping her figure out how to change the lights on it. They had been set on the white lights originally, Nancy’s preference, but she insisted they needed to be changed to multicolor. Steve knew why; Nancy hadn’t had a change of heart in her taste of holiday decorations, but you had mentioned last week how multi-colored lights are far more superior.
Everyone notices the mistletoes, and they avoid them like the plague. The kids all bitch and complain without restraint, complaining how it was stupid, even though Lucas did manage to snag a peck from Max from beneath the mistletoe at the bottom of the stairs. Mike stairs in annoyance due to his recent breakup with El, and Will looks on wistfully, as if he were watching a Hallmark movie play out before him. It all felt a bit dramatic.
But even more dramatic was Nancy’s sore disappointment when half way through the party, she hadn’t managed to catch you beneath a single mistletoe.
In fact, she felt like she’d hardly managed to speak to you most of the night. There was never a free seat beside you and you were always in a conversation with someone else. Nancy was convinced that the Universe was punishing her, mocking her for her ridiculous scheme to kiss you tonight.
Hot cocoa was made and gift exchanges began, secret Santa in effect to avoid everyone having to splurge an absurd amount of money. Nancy was beginning to regret not trying to swindle Steve, who had organized that bit of the party, into giving her your name. She knew that others had done it, Steve was a cheap shot; all it took was puppy dog eyes and enough annoying complaints and he would have caved. It was obvious that had happened between him and Will, considering the young boy was far too excited to watch Mike open his gift from his Santa.
Everyone had someone to be wrapped up in. Even during the opening of these gifts, any stranger in the room would immediately watch the way everyone seemed to have a person their eyes were glued to. Steve was staring at Eddie, Lucas was staring at Max, Will was staring at Mike, and Nancy was staring at you. Her stare was scathing, burning with obvious jealousy as she watched you share Sour Patch Kids with Eddie from his gift to you. He’d admitted it to you when you’d opened it, enjoying your genuine gift, but he immediately complained he deserved some of the sour snack as well for being such an excellent Santa. Yeah, Nancy Wheeler was thinking of about twenty different ways to get away with Eddie Munson’s murder as you stayed pressed into his side and the two of you passed the box and candy back and forth.
When the time came for Eddie to open his gift, it was a small box wrapped in familiar paper. Nancy recognized it as the paper she’d let Steve borrow before everyone had arrived, along with a small box, him using the excuse of ‘not having any at home’ on her.
“Wow,” Eddie drawls, shaking the small gift ever so slightly, “Santa went small this year.”
He was joking. His shining grin sold him out, but it still had Steve sweating at his side. You were on Eddie’s other side, candy abandoned as you swatted at him.
“Hey, be careful! What if it’s fragile?” you point out, glaring at him.
He grins, “Aw, shucks. Did we get each other this year, doll? I hope you went sweet rather than sour with the gift.”
Nancy definitely would have a warrant out for her arrest by the end of this night. Doll. Her jealousy burst into flames, nearly swallowing her whole, not noticing your platonic playfulness with the boy as you rolled your eyes.
“Not a chance, Munson. If I got you, I would have showed up empty handed. Gifted you with my presence or whatever your lame excuse was last year,” you snipe back to him and Nancy’s flames burn brighter, because she wants that with you. Everyone got along well with you, you were likable. She hated that she couldn’t claim that the bond she had with you was unique. She wishes you would only banter with her like that, not some airhead like Eddie.
Nancy Wheeler was a mean jealous. So she kept her mouth shut until Eddie opened his gift.
No one sees what it is at first, Eddie’s face twisted in shock and confusion. He’d ripped through the paper and tape with ease. The fact that he had stopped his chaotic unwrapping as he caught sight of what was in the box confused everyone.
“What is it?” Dustin chimes from the floor, trying to sit up onto his knees and look into the box. Eddie immediately presses the heel of his hand to the younger boy’s forehead and shoves him back before he can catch sight of the gift.
“Alright, who the hell gifted me a mistletoe?” Eddie finally asks, looking up with a serious gaze as he looks over each friend. He looks to you, another nail in the coffin that Nancy was building him, but you immediately shake your head ferociously with wide eyes.
And then he looks at Steve.
All the cool composure from his private discussion with Nancy was gone. He looked like he might vomit.
Nancy is watching him with nearly unmatched intensity, the only gaze more severe being Eddie’s. He finally breaks with a sheepish grin.
“Uh… that would be me,” Steve attempts to chuckle, but his voice cracks a little. Everyone has gone even more silent. The two boys stare at each other for a moment that remains just theirs, even in a full room.
Now Nancy’s watching on as if it’s a Hallmark movie, wearing the same hopeless expression Will had been earlier.
“Well, are you gonna kiss me or what, Harrington?” Eddie finds his confidence first, ripping a familiar mistletoe that Nancy recognizes as one that Steve had also taken from her, and hanging it in the air between them.
Steve has never burned a brighter red. He’s beginning to match some of the garland Nancy had put up around the window.
“I-” he’s speechless. Nancy forgets her jealousy for a moment, looking to you only to already find you staring her way, not even paying the two boys at your side any mind. A secret moment between the two of you, passing biting smirks and swallowed down giggles.
She rolls her eyes and mouths, ‘What a moron.’
Your eyes widen, but you simply shrug, mouthing back, ‘It’s cute.’
“Fine,” Eddie finally sighs, breaking Nancy’s private moment with you, “I guess I’ll have to just get my Christmas present myself. C’mere, big boy.”
Eddie leans forward, taking Steve’s face in his free hand, and plants a kiss onto his lips. Steve’s red up to the tips of his ears, but everyone can see the way he reciprocates without overthinking it.
“Get a room!”
“Gross!”
“Finally!”
Differing reactions call out from across the room, continuing until Eddie finally breaks away from the kiss. Steve is breathless, looking into Eddie’s eyes in disbelief.
Nancy snickers. He won’t be getting his cut from Robin’s bet. Eddie made the first move, technically, by initiating the actual kiss. She’s sure there will be an argument between Robin and Dustin regarding the entire ordeal.
“Merry Christmas,” Steve finally breathes out, a genuine smile crossing his features. He looks blissful. He looks like the entire world really was a Hallmark movie.
When he looks Nancy’s way, as if silently saying ‘see? Easy’, she’s burning with that familiar jealousy once more.
Nancy is the only person who doesn’t get a gift during the exchange. She doesn’t mind, keeping her mouth shut and simply enjoying the time with her friends. The more years she’d spent with the group, the more she’d come to realize the gifts didn’t matter that much. What mattered were the people she surrounded herself; the people who cared.
Steve had gone to the bathroom after his kiss fiasco with Eddie, and when the long-haired boy had tried to follow with a cheeky grin, Robin had threatened him seriously enough to make himself fall right back onto the couch and stay planted.
“If the two of you try to fuck at the Wheeler’s house for the first time, in the bathroom, I’ll join Nancy in shooting you dinguses.”
It was funny until Steve took an unusual amount of time to return. Eddie looked worried, you looked worried, Nancy looked worried. The three of you kept glancing at the door as Robin continued to argue with the boys for the sake of getting under their skin.
Steve returns down the stairs, taking them two at a time and with careless abandon. Each stomp echoes before he reaches the bottom of the stairs breathless, grinning mischievously. No one thinks much of it, figuring he was just running on the high of kissing Eddie. It’d been a long time coming, and his excitement was reasonable. So no one thought of it. No one except Nancy.
The first clue that something had happened in his alone time was the way he was nearly giggling to himself. The second was one he suddenly announced that everyone needed a hot cocoa refill after being back in the basement for not even five minutes.
“C’mon,” he begs when you retort how he had just been upstairs and should’ve gotten some then, “Nancy can help you! Can’t you, Nance?”
The third clue was the way he wasn’t allowing either of you to say no.
So you gathered up the empty mugs of the room with Nancy, and she worried endlessly that you felt pressured to do it. She wanted alone time with you, she always wanted moments with you one on one, but she didn’t want you to be forced to do it.
“I can get it, don’t worry,” she finally assures you with an armful of mugs.
You just smile, taking several from her to lighten the load, “I don’t mind helping.”
The two of you take the stairs delicately, Nancy forcing herself to pace the space between the two of you to avoid being caught under the mistletoes at the same time. Steve notices, and his smirk widens.
He refused to be the only one who got his mistletoe kiss this year. Nancy should have known better.
The two of you are quick in the kitchen, moving around to warm the milk and measure out the cocoa powder for everyone. Nancy specifically makes sure to grab the oatmilk for Dustin, reaching for it just as you do. When her fingertips brush over your knuckles, she jumps back as if shocked.
“Sorry!” you blurt out, looking over at her like a deer caught in headlights, “Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry,” she tries to laugh it off, hand still tingling from the contact. It had started to be that way more and more lately. Every lingering touch was lightning, scaring her beneath the surface with unbelievable yearning.
It doesn't make sense. This isn’t a Hallmark movie.
While she’s busy losing herself in her own thoughts, she doesn’t notice you also being swept away in your own mind.
Because for everything Nancy felt, you felt just as strongly, if not ten times more.
You’d always admired Nancy around school, envied those who caught her attention so easily. Because she was pretty. She was pretty, and she was fierce, and she was the reason for so many pathetically sleepless nights spent in your bed, tossing and turning while ocean blue eyes haunted you.
You liked Nancy Wheeler back. It was why you had begged and bartered with Steve Harrington in order to get her for Secret Santa.
And yet here you were, still chickening out. Steve had reprimanded you countless times, trying to convince you that she wouldn’t reject you, but all his words fell on deaf ears. No, girls like Nancy don’t like people like you. It felt too impossible. So your gift to her had remained in your bag upstairs by the front door, neatly wrapped and burning a hole through the tote material.
But you had seen Nancy’s face when she hadn’t received a gift, and it broke your heart. You couldn’t let her feel so left out.
“I have something for you,” you finally sigh. You were going to regret this, and if it ended badly, Steve would have Hell to pay for meddling where he had no business, “I… I was your Secret Santa. I have a gift for you.”
“Oh?” Nancy visibly perks up, still holding a warm mug.
“Yeah,” you laugh breathlessly, nodding and trying to hype yourself up, “It’s just in my bag.”
You awkwardly shoved your thumb over your shoulder in the direction of the front door. Nancy nods in tandem with you, looking thoughtful, and you don’t even have to ask her to follow you as you begin to walk out of the kitchen.
But then fear strikes. Terrible, gut-wrenching fear that stops you dead in your tracks. And Nancy fumbles, running right into your back. The two of you are stopped in the middle of the kitchen entryway, in clear view of the stairway that leads to the basement.
The stairway that Steve, Eddie, and Robin had crept up after the two of you came up here alone.
“Sorry!” Nancy is the one apologizing now, reaching out to gently place her hands on your elbows after the collision. You’re looking up above the two of you, and she thinks you might be about to scold her. For what, she isn’t sure. Maybe for not watching where she was going, or maybe for all the lovestruck looks she’d sent your way this night. Maybe you had figured her out, and this was it.
“Oh, who put that up there?” you ask and Nancy finally realizes your staring at the ceiling wasn’t from contempt. Something had caught your attention.
She follows your gaze upwards and catches sight of a small bundle of leaves, bright red berries sparkling in the kitchen light.
Fucking Steve Harrington.
“Oh,” Nancy says, before looking back at you. You’re already watching her carefully. There’s a look there unfamiliar to her, but you’ve looked at her this way a million times when she wasn’t watching. Shining, adoring eyes, wide with the possibility of it all. Both of you remember Steve and Eddie’s kiss, the reminder of the holiday tradition. A reminder of Nancy’s scheming. “Oh.”
Were you two going to kiss? Had Nancy Wheeler’s plan worked? Technically, it was no longer Nancy’s - it was clearly Steve’s by hijacking. Nancy hadn’t hung that mistletoe.
“We don’t have to-” Nancy begins.
“I think it means we have to-” your voice overlaps as you shyly smile.
Both of you cut off once you realize you’re talking over one another.
“Sorry,” Nancy laughs nervously, “Go ahead. What were you going to say?”
“No, no. You first,” you insist.
She swallows hard. What she was about to say was to preserve your comfort, even if it ruined everything for her.
“We don’t have to kiss,” she whispers, noticing the way your gaze falls slightly.
“We don’t,” you agree solemnly. But then something sparks in your expression, and that smile that makes her stomach curl is back, “But it is tradition. Can’t mess with tradition, right?”
Oh God. You wanted to kiss her too. You wanted this.
You don’t let her overthink it. You’d seen that look on her face before.
You press your lips to hers in a peck, feeling the heat of both your blushes radiating before you pull back quickly. Too quickly for Nancy’s liking.
Both of you stand there for a moment, eyelashes fluttering against the tops of pink cheeks, unaware that all your friends are currently watching and silently cheering.
You don’t get another word in before Nancy is leaning forward again, kissing you with more confidence this time. Her palms come up and hover over your face, hesitating in touching you, but they quickly connect and cradle when you return the kiss with just as much enthusiasm.
The kiss breaks when you start to smile so widely, Nancy finds her teeth clashing with yours. You begin to break down in giggles and she pulls back, letting her hands fall from your face until it’s just her fingertips ghosting over your jaw.
“What’s so funny?” she asks, smiling curiously in return, eyes searching your face for the answer.
“Nothing, I just-” you cut yourself off, putting up a finger and walking away from her momentarily. When you return, you’re carrying a small box, beautifully wrapped with golden paper and a white translucent bow that reminds Nancy of snow, “This is your gift. And I need to preface it by saying that I like you, Nancy Wheeler. I like you a lot, and I swear that this wasn’t some plot between me and Steve. Honestly, he’s on my hitlist. I can’t- I can’t believe that jerk stole my idea-”
As you continue to ramble on, Nancy is carefully unraveling your gift to her.
Inside the box, she’s met by a few presents.
Two matching handmade bracelets sit on top of the cushion of paper bundled inside to keep all the gifts safe. One is woven in shades of blue thread that matches Nancy’s eyes, her initials on small beds in the center, while the second one is woven in threads that match your eyes, your initials engraved on the small white beads.
“I-” Nancy is smiling widely, mouth agape in happiness as she gingerly picks up the bracelet with your colors and initials, “I love it. So much.”
The genuine happiness comes off of her in waves. But you still look terrified, and possibly annoyed, as you nod, “There’s more.”
You reach in and grab the other bracelet, and it exposes a small branch at the bottom of the box.
“Like I said, Steve is dead to me. He’s lucky I made the bracelets, or else-”
Nancy is in shock, her cheeks beginning to ache from her child-like smile. Her heart races in the best way before carefully plucking the mistletoe from the box and lifting in up between her face and yours.
A small laugh escapes her, “Oh my God.”
“Steve!” a sudden high-pitched voice gasps, making the two of you turn to catch all of your friends now gathered in the doorway to the stairway. Eddie is the source of the gasp, looking highly offended at an embarrassed Steve, “You stole their thunder?”
“I did not-”
“I can’t believe you.”
“I didn’t steal anything!”
“You absolutely steamrolled their moment. That’s just cruel, big boy.”
“Who’s steamrolling it now?” Steve finally snaps before he faces the two of  you, “Sorry. We, uh… we’re just…”
“Really fucking nosey,” you supply, not a hint of questioning or genuine acidity to your tone. You and Nancy both actually look impossibly amused.
“Yeah,” Eddie nods, before earning a smack on his shoulder from Robin as he says, “Really, really fuckin’ nosey.”
Nancy doesn’t even care. Not as she hears arguments over the bet that was made, or the kids complaining for a second time that night. All she can care about is you and that look on your face as the kitchen light makes your eyes sparkle just right. All she cares about is that feeling in her chest, realizing Steve had been right in his silent reassurance.
That was easy.
She’d have to find another way to repay him another day, because right now, all she wants to do is kiss you some more.
So she does just that. She holds up the mistletoe over your heads, still smiling so wide her eyes completely crinkle in the corners and her nose scrunches a bit, before saying, “Can I have my Christmas gift now?”
You nod softly. There’s some shouting from your friends, but this moment in this room is only for you two. “Yeah. Yeah, you can.”
The kiss that follows nearly gives you both cavities from its sweetness. But Nancy’s convinced that that’s just how kisses are supposed to be - growing to be more sugary and syrupy with each passing one. Or at least, with you that’s how they’re supposed to be.
“I think I, for one, have seen enough mistletoes tonight to last me a lifetime,” Dustin groans dramatically from somewhere behind Steve and Eddie, “Hey, by the way Robin - you owe me ten bucks.”
“And you owe me five,” Steve adds on, a proud grin as he continues to watch his friends.
He can taste the sweetness in the air, even from across the room.

The MDMA cleared Bria’s system after nine hours. She felt horrible, so Chester gave her some water. When she fell asleep, he checked on her every few minutes to make sure she was still breathing. He felt guilty about bringing her into his drug use. But, he was also lonely and desperate for someone to love him. Would Bria love him without using drugs? He had so low self-esteem, that he didn’t expect her to. Drugs helped him forget about his mental health issues and the pain he was suffering.
He had been sexually abused as a child and bullied in high school for being different. That led him to feel so angry he wanted to kill everyone. Instead, he turned to drugs. He also turned to music. With the success of Linkin Park, he had kids who identified with what he was singing about. They loved him and looked up to him. It was the kind of love he couldn’t find in himself.
When she woke up a couple of hours later, he kissed her. Was she still tripping? No, she was fucking hungry, though! They decided to get something to eat.
Joe realized Bria was always going to choose Mike or Chester over him. Mike apologized. He had so many great qualities that any woman would love to go out with him. It wasn’t fair, he agreed with that. He didn’t know why she was with Chester and to be honest, he wasn’t someone he wanted her to be with. They knew he was using drugs and they were afraid of him pulling her down.
Chester was his best friend and he loved him. He trusted him as far as he could throw him. Drugs. Didn’t her mother die from an overdose? Yes, she did. She died from a heroin overdose. Bria was at risk of developing an addiction to drugs and alcohol because of her genetics. She was wild and hypersexual. At eighteen years old, she was experiencing sex for the first time. She was always ready for it and she always wanted it. Maybe it was the feeling of being loved.
Or the feeling of having a connection with someone. When they got back to his hotel room, he kissed her before taking off her dress. She then took off his shirt. They both knew what the other wanted. He brought her to the bed and laid her down before getting on top.
Mike told Phoenix about his conversation with Joe while they lay in bed. They had compassion for him because he had been so excited about going on a date with her. He deserved a woman who would love him for who he was. What was Mike going to do? He didn’t know. If he asked her about it, she would deny it and he didn’t have any proof she was using drugs.
“Mike, don’t jump the gun until you have evidence. Then, you can confront her.”
He nodded. “That’s what I thought. I just needed to hear it coming from you.”
“You’re welcome.”
He laughed. His laugh was one of the things he loved most about him. It was adorable and he loved hearing it. He also loved how his mind worked and his love for the people in his life. Mike was a leader and they all looked up to him for answers. The Glue. That was his nickname. If it weren’t for him, the band would’ve fallen apart a long time ago. He could look at every problem from all angles and he went through every scenario before making a decision.
But, he was also very human and had emotions just like everyone else. He could admit when he needed help and when he was wrong. There were multiple reasons why he loved him and was over the moon with happiness that he got to call him his boyfriend. Did anyone deserve him? No, they didn’t. Mike was one of a kind.
He ran his fingers through his red hair. This was what falling in love was like. They had made dinner together while making each other laugh. They then went upstairs to his room. He leaned over and kissed him. Yes, he was perfect and he couldn’t get enough of him.
Chester showed up on time and was ready to work the following morning. He was in a good mood and didn’t give off any clues that he had been using drugs. His eyes were normal and he wasn’t nervous. After going to dinner, he and Bria went into the bathroom and turned on the fan to get rid of the smell of marijuana. Once the weed exited in their systems, they fell asleep.
His clothes smelled like marijuana, even though he had changed before leaving. They were used to that smell. Sometimes he tried to cover it up with cigarettes, but it just made it more noticeable. Bria had gone home to change clothes and take a shower before going to meet a customer for a date. She was highly recommended, so getting dates was easy. Her customers liked how beautiful she was. They also liked her open personality, sense of humor, and professionalism.
She was one hundred percent able to keep their identities confidential. It never felt like they were paying for an escort because it felt more like a date. She was charging good money, so they expected a lot. Their expectations were always met. Brad recommended her to his friends.
“She’s super professional and you never feel like she’s there just for the money. She is also one of the most beautiful women you will ever meet.”
And she was. Leonardo DiCaprio had a great time with her. He took her out on his yacht. She had never been on a yacht before, so she was excited to go. He paid one hundred dollars because he didn’t want to spend a lot of money. Next time, he would pay to have her for the weekend. She was more than worth the money he spent!
Brad happened to come across a notebook Bria left behind in the studio. It had the names, dates, and prices of every date she had been paid for. It included very high-profile names like Brad Pitt, Jude Law, Johnny Depp, and even some prominent politicians. She could get into a lot of trouble if the notebook ever got leaked. He handed it to Mike because he didn’t know what else to do with it. When he got home, he looked through it.
Yeah, it was exactly what Brad said it would be. She was being paid upwards of fifteen hundred dollars from men willing to pay that much for her. In a couple of years, she could be a millionaire. She had youth and beauty on her side, along with her personality and professionalism. He would return the notebook to her the next day.
“Where did you get this”, she asked.
“Brad found it. Now I know why you don’t want to tell us who you’re dating. I wouldn’t want anyone to find out.”
“I started writing everything down, so could remember. Just in case.”
“There is something I want to talk about. It’s about Joe. I don’t know what you and Chester are doing, but I don’t like it. I’m on the sidelines here. You deserve better. Chester is married and is a father. He shouldn’t be spending his time with you. Please give Joe a chance. He’s been waiting a long time to ask you out.”
Because of his calmness and the fact that she trusted him, she revealed their relationship was fueled by drugs and sex. What kind of drugs? MDMA and marijuana. She was getting drugs for free and selling them to him.
Chessy, I’m sorry. Please talk to me. – Bria
The next day, he confronted him about it in front of everyone. He denied using drugs. Joe’s heart broke. That’s why she didn’t want to go out with him. Mike, Phoenix, and Brad forbade him from contacting her. It was either that or rehab. He chose to cut off contact with her. Thank you.

Masterlist
Tumblr media
Manjiro Sano - 佐野 ( さの ) 万次郎
I can see him dating his childhood friend, I mean the man actually likes them protecting them ? He would even get extra attention if he is dating you so why don’t give it a shot ?
Obviously your relationship didn’t start like this (I mean not entirely)
You were living quite close to him I mean like on his neighborhood and one day you just saw him walking around probably getting back from school. A lollipop in his mouth, his hand behind his head the little boy was walking as if he was ruling the city (he might but you haven’t known yet), as a child you were kinda curious to know him since he seemed to be around your own age.
So you walked to start a conversation with him, as expected the little boy was pretty chill about everything so it was easy to talk with. You two talks about everything and anything at the same time until the little boy’s tummy was yelling for foods, laughing at his state you decided to buy him something since he was your very first friends.
After asking him what he wanted you moved into a Konbini
That you discover that his favourite was Taiyaki and Dorayki
You two started to hang on frequently (every day to be honest, each time he saw you leaving school he either ran into you or yelled to go home with him). People sorting to think that you two were in love with each other even though you both claimed that you were friends (even part of the same crew).
You even started to go into the same martial class as Baji, knowing it was his grandfather ruling everything, so you could spend more time with your new friends and get to know him more.
He never failed to amaze you, and took great pleasure of doing so many techniques just to see you getting all impressed.
He also enjoys seeing you working hard to do the same techniques he does previously
Two buddies.
That was your label for a long time until you started to notice your own reaction around him.
It was pretty silly at first. When he was too close to you, you felt your cheeks coloured in red. When he was smiling at you you couldn’t help but smile at him too, you discovered you were weak for his pouty face. Also whenever he was touching you (brushing his hand at yours or even touching like when he is taking your wrist to look at him so he would pout to have his precious Dorayaki he was craving for).
Honestly you just thought that you were starting to be a fan or something which was a little bit embarrassing.
But nothing to be worried about
Then, You’ve started to feel that it was maybe more than just a friendship or at least you were loving him more than you should.
You realized one day that you were in love with him, when he decided to kick your bullies’ ass without telling you. Like you once told him about those teenagers who were bullied you and that you’ll work even more harder so you could kick their ass. But it wasn’t on Mikey’s taste like all he heard was « Y/N is in danger I must protect them » and so did he. He walked into your school looking for those bastards.
Once he found them it was already over for them, he quickly kicked them off and as expected they weren’t as strong as they thought they were just in groups. What he didn’t expect, was you looking at him beating the shit out of your bullies.
The way he was beating each of them, how he was easily taking them down, the way he was fighting for you to protect you. It was the last thing you needed to fall deeply in love with him.
Even if he was still a little boy, his aura was quite something from behind (though he is quite small) he looked like an adult. A true leader.
You couldn’t think more about it because he turns in head into your direction raising his brow « what are you doing ? Let’s go I’m hungry y/n » he then smiled at you.
During your walk into the closest Konbini he was acting as if he didn’t previously fight against teenagers while still being well a little boy. You two were as usual talking about everything and anything until you found the shop, then he proceed to whine about not having money to buy Taiyaki or Dorayki.
Since you couldn’t refuse anything at him when he was all pouting you proceeded to buy his favourite foods
But being the young baby you were you didn’t understand that all the feelings you were feeling, how you cheeks tend to be red around him, how nervous you were when you walked together, how worried you were sometimes when you saw him his covering with some bloods (even though you knew it wasn’t his).
It took you one year to actually understand that you fell in love with him, and that you might screw your relationship because of that.
In fact when you finally aged up to go into junior high school, you started to have other friends than Mikey (it doesn’t mean you didn’t talk to him anymore quite the contrary). And those friends were particularly interested on one thing « crush ».
You’ve never heard about crush before, I mean you were aware of the attraction between two people but as a child you weren’t interested in him especially since your close friends (Mikey for exemple) didn’t give a damn about it, so you did the same.
Talking with those new friends made you realized that you had a crush on your best friends
Things started to get weird between you two
Cause whenever Mikey was around too and a little bit too close to you, you started to freak out afraid that he might discover your secret. So you tried your best to be a little bit distant with him
Which honestly broke his little heart, he kept wondering « why Y/N isn’t walking with me anymore ? » Why aren’t we sharing foods anymore »
It didn’t help that he started to really miss you, and was craving for well, attention from you
He never realized it but he was craving for your praise or approval. Like whenever you were sipping over him being so cool, he couldn’t help but to flex his chest with a smirk looking at Draken (as if he didn’t give a shit about your praise)
Also he was starting to feel a little bit nervous ? Everytime you were riding his bike and put your hand around his chest or waist for support he couldn’t help but feel nervous and relax at the same time.
One time when you were daydreaming as Mike was driving you home after school, you nuzzled your head on the crook on his neck. Smelling his smell, and his warmth you were starting to feel sleepy. You didn’t notice it, but when you put your head on his neck he started to shiver, his ears were a little bit red too, his heart was beating like hell.
He didn’t expect you to get so comfortable around him, but was he concerned ? Absolutely not, he even enjoyed it knowing you were so good with him
But then it happens, he started to dream about you. Every night he didn’t spend on thinking about his brother and what he could do to protect him, prevent his death, his night was decimated to you.
One time you two were driving together talking about everything, on other time you two were sharing some foods on the beach his hand around your waist as you were putting your head on his shoulder.
He even once dreamt about you two kissing, like you were on a picnic date together he did some funny face to make you laugh and just feel it. He wanted to kiss you, and being the blunt guy he is he just put his hand on your cheeks and then kiss you. To his surprise you hug him as one of your hand moved to his hair so you could kiss him more.
He woke up that night his face all read, his index on his lips (as if he could still taste your lips on his).
Those dreamt kept coming again and again
So he knew something was wrong so he talked to Draken who just looked at him as is he was dumbest man of the world « Mikey you’re just in love with Y/n »
What do you mean just in love ? He was the god damn leader of a gang, he was Mikey the invicible and yet he falls in love.
How he wishes his brother was still here to help him
Because he didn’t any idea how to handle this ?
The real issue according to Draken was to know if you were interest in such relationships especially since you two know each other since you were a child. They were a probability according to him that you weren’t interested on him but according to his sister Emma they were a high probability that you were in fact into him. She couldn’t prove it though.
It took him so many days until one day he had enough, he just wanted to talk about it so he could dream peacefully. No one knows about his « weird » dream and honestly he couldn’t take the risk of Draken knowing about it he wouldn’t see the end of it
So one day he just drives into your school and was waiting for you, to be sure that you won’t avoid him pretending of not seeing him. He parks right into of the gate and was making so noise with his bike. Everything so you would notice him.
Of course you saw him, and since he looked straight into your eyes, you knew you will go home with him (not that it bothers you quite contrary but it was starting to be more and more difficult to keep a straight face around him)
So you didn’t try to escape or anything afraid he might be sad or worst angry against you, and you moved behind him on his bike so he could drive you.
Much to your surprise, he wasn’t driving you home, in fact he was driving into that forest where he kissed you in his dream (something told him he must go here to succeed so). Which was starting to confuse you like where were you going ?
Knowing when he got something in mind you couldn’t fight you just decided to wait until he would park to confront him about it.
But again you couldn’t manage to say anything, as soon as he parked his bike he was already walking into that spot the one he saw in his dream to confess. So you had no choice but to follow him knowing you couldn’t get home until he decided so
When you two reached the spot Mikey was looking for, he finally turned into your direction looking right at you.
He looked very serious, he got that face you know ? The one he got when he was ruling a Toman’s meeting. You got Mikey the invisible in front of you, and even if you were used to see him leading you still were surprised (and a little bit scared) when you were confronting the leader and not your childhood friends.
Unconsciously you gulped which Mikey noticed and couldn’t help but chuckled a little bit
« You know it’s not funny to make fun of me Mikey »
« You’re just too tensed it’s funny »
« No it’s not *sigh* you’re just so serious right now what’s happening ? »
« Are you afraid of me y/n ? »
« Uh ? What are you talking about of course not »
« Then why are you avoiding me so much ? »
« I-I’m not I just »
« Don’t lie to me Y/N »
« I’m not I swear I’m not avoiding you Mikey I just got so many things in mind I-i’m sorry if I hurt you in anyway » (of course you couldn't just straightly tell him that you weren't seeing him as much as before because your heart decided to beat like a damn drummer each time you were closed to him)
« Well that’s good then »
« Good ? »
« Yeah I couldn’t scare the person I love it wouldn’t make sense »
« (…) Wait what ? »
Your heart was beating so hard against your chest, you’re face was all read you didn’t even notice you high-pitched voice.
All you notice was Mikey holding his stomach with both of his hands, laughing so loudly tears rolling on his chest, his smile was so big.
Damn, I wish I could see him more like this was all you could think at that moment
When he finally calmed himself he just looked at you smiling and proceed to repeat himself « You hear me y/n I’m in love with you »
Before you could even realized, you ran into his chest holding him for dear life. As Mikey didn’t expect you to literally jump into his arm he couldn’t managed to catch and to keep his balance at the same time, so you just ended up laying on the floor, you on the top of him. He didn’t mind though, having you close to him relax him more than he could realize.
As you were mumbling something against his chest, he didn’t have any choice but to stand up a little bit while holding you so you two could be face to face. He then asks you to repeat yourself so he could hear you two.
« I love you too Mikey »
« *chuckle* Guess we’re dating each other now »
He didn’t kiss you that but he promised himself to do things like his dream, he wasn’t worried anymore he got you by his side.

Levi x Reader:: Marks
Tumblr media
Summary:: Sometimes you hated those scars so much, letting insecurities wash over you and allow self-hate to take place. But Levi was always there to remind you how beautiful you were.

。☆ ❅ ★━━━━ ❅ ━━━━★ ❅ ☆。
You let out a hiss as you slowly unbuckled the belts of your gear one by one, letting them drop heavily on the ground before quickly discarding your uniform and undergarments, throwing them in the laundry basket, leaving you bare. Blood flow finally began running smoothly and normally now that there was nothing to painfully tighten and restrict your thighs. You undid the taut bun, setting your hair free and relieving your scalp with a short massage as you proceeded to enter the bathroom. You let out a sigh of content the moment the hot water washed over your body, easing your sore and tense muscles.
The past forty eight hours had been nightmarish. You had returned from an expedition gone wrong. Two of your squadmates had been injured and as a good captain you had stayed by their side for hours as the doctors and nurses treated them. After that you hadn’t even had the time to wash and change as a mountain of paperwork had been placed on your desk. If that hadn’t been enough, the families of your injured subordinates wanted to speak to you so you had to spend more time reassuring them that everything was all right before returning to your tedious tasks. You had been so busy and just like that, two whole days had passed. The same could be said about the other higher-ups. Levi, Hange, Erwin, Mike and the other squad leaders and section commanders were up to the neck buried with work and in such moments you asked yourself whether it was worth to become a captain.
There was so much responsibility.
You wrapped a towel around your body as you finally exited the bathroom, now feeling more refreshed and clean. But when you stepped into your bedroom and passed by the mirror, you froze, slowly turning to look at yourself.
Your skin has always been easy to bruise and you hated that. Now, staring at your thighs – at the ugly markings from the belts marring your skin – you felt sick. And suddenly, you got reminded of every scar your body held. There was one on your calf when a titan had bitten down as you were trying to save a comrade from its jaws. At this point you probably had multiple scars on your back from the amount of times you had fallen, gotten hit or thrown left and right or smashed while fighting those monstrous creatures.
There was one on your abdomen too. It brought shivers down your spine every time you remembered how you obtained it. It happened on the day Wall Maria fell. The Scouts had returned from an expedition. Instead of returning to the base, you had asked Commander Shadis to visit your family – inform them that you were alive and ease their worry.
Your house was near the gates.
You had spent amazing few hours with your family – eating and laughing and chatting together. And then there had been an explosion and only a second later something heavy had rammed against your house. The sound of breaking and cracking of bricks and wood and falling debris had been deafening. You had almost been buried alive under the debris, a piece of wood stabbing you. You had thought that you were going to die. But someone unexpected had come to save you.
Levi.
That had set the beginning of your relationship. When you had asked him why he had gone looking for you despite all the odds, he had just shrugged, saying it was because you were the only person he was able to tolerate. It was valid, considering you were the first and only person to offer him and his friends help and friendship after they joined and you had made sure to shower them with lots of care and kindness.
You didn’t know whether it were insecurities or something else but right now you felt horrible. You hated those scars. You hated your body. You tiredly sat on the bed as you thought about all those other…normal girls who had clean, spotless, soft skin. Tears gathered in your eyes and before you knew it, you were sniffing, trying to suppress your sobs as you cupped your hands over your mouth.
You didn’t even hear when the door to your private quarters opened.
Levi’s eyes widened as they fell on your shaking shoulders. Your back was facing him as he stood silently by the door frozen, unable to move, his mind immediately listing and searching for reasons as to why you were crying.
His legs quickly carried him to your form and he crouched down in front of you, placing a hand on your knee. You flinched as you lowered your hands and looked at him through blurry vision before wiping away the offending liquid. He waited a bit, giving you time to compose yourself. When you seemed ready to talk, he spoke.
“What’s wrong?” it was a simple question but his tone was soft and soothing that you felt like caving in and telling him. But you were also ashamed. You didn’t want to appear weak or stupid in front of him. You didn’t want to bother or worry him unnecessarily. After all, one of the reasons as to why he allowed himself to love you, allowed himself to accept you and enter a relationship during those horrid times, was because he knew you could take care of yourself. He knew that you could handle anything thrown your way and survive and come back to him even stronger.
But sometimes you couldn’t help but allow a few moments of weakness. Was it selfish of you?
“It’s…nothing. I’m just being silly, that’s all,” you breathed out and he frowned, his hand squeezing your knee a bit scoldingly.
“You’re crying your eyes out for nothing then? You know you can tell me. But if you don’t want to, it’s ok,” he said as his other hand moved to grasp one of yours in reassurance, making you let out a sigh and close your eyes.
“I hate my body. I hate how…many marks it has,” you sniffed and prepared for him to say that you were behaving like a child or to berate you and scold you for being so weak, eyes squeezing more and more shut when you imagined every scenario.
But he didn’t do anything like that. Instead, what he did surprised you.
He gently unwrapped the towel and let it fall and pool around you, leaving you bare and exposed. You had half a mind to cover yourself with your hands but you were curious as to what he was about to do.
His face got closer and closer until he placed his lips onto your thigh, right over the still red markings from the uniform belts.
“Is it this one?” he asked quietly as he gently kissed it before moving to the one on your other thigh. “Or this?” he repeated the action before lifting his head, hands softly brushing against your legs and climbing upwards, passing by your hips, caressing your sides and resting there as he nuzzled against your abdomen.
“Or maybe this one?” he whispered as he peppered the jagged, long scar with fluttering kisses while his hands raised more and roamed over your back, fingers tracing each scar with such care and love that the tears started falling again. But this time it wasn’t out of sorrow or self-hate. It was because he was worshipping your body. He was worshipping you.
And it made you fall in love with him all over again.
“You don’t need to be ashamed of these scars and marks,” he muttered against your skin and your hand went to thread his raven locks. “They are a proof that you went through hell and you were strong enough to push through and survive. To keep living. Because if there’s one thing that’s worth it in this cruel world, is staying by your loved ones’ side and building beautiful memories together. That makes all the pain and hate fade,” he said before he looked up, his eyes meeting yours as one hand went to wipe off your tears, thumb brushing your cheekbone tenderly.
You gave him a watery smile as you leaned and captured his lips in a delicate kiss which quickly turned into a searing one as you tried to pour all your passion, gratitude and love through it. He rose to his feet and climbed on the bed without breaking the kiss, causing you to lay down as he towered above you, the hand that had brushed your tears still caressing your cheek with love while the other slid down to cup your breast.
“Let me show you how beautiful you are.”

Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat [Spencer Reid x fem! Reader]
Tumblr media
Find my masterlist here. Requests are Open.
Based on a wonderful song fic request I received from @itsametaphorbriansblog for the song Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat by Del Water Gap. I'd never heard the song before but trust me when I say it's awesome and my head was full with these lyrics. And yes, Alice in Wonderland is my favorite book.
Requested: Yes l No
CW: swearing, mentions of drinking, mentions of smut but nothing too explicit, some angst but happy ending.
Plot: Spencer wants to believe he can have a casual relationship with you. But just the thought of someone else touching you the way he does sends him into a tailspin. He wants you all to himself.
WC: 3.9K
—————————————————————
I do not want to fight this anymore
I just want to lay back
And watch you pin me to the bed
How he ended up here was somewhat of a mystery to Spencer but he had no intention of complaining.
He was sure he’d have time to think about it later, but right now all he was focused on was the way you pinned him to the bed, your soft hands wrapped around his wrists.
He was too enamoured taking in every beautiful curve of your body, the swell of your breasts and hips, the feeling of your silky thighs pressed against his own much hairier ones.
He drank you in as you kissed him, your tongue tasting like coffee and vodka. Your lips against his felt as though they’d found their rightful place in the world.
And when you finally lowered yourself on his throbbing member, everything else slipped away. The only thing in the world he could focus on was how fucking good it felt to have you wrapped around him.
It was as though all the stars had aligned and all his birthdays and christmases had come at once.
He never thought he’d have a shot with someone like you. This was better than even his wildest dreams.
I used to call you my best friend
Way back before you were my everything
Now I’m sucking on your neck
You’d worked together for several years and quickly became best friends. But there was always something more between you. Lingering glances, a few too many casual touches.
An odd tension that Spencer had never been able to put his finger on until the first time you saw each other naked and it vanished.
It had started after a few too many drinks at Rossi’s and ended in Spencer’s bed. That had been six months ago and since then the two of you spent all your free time between the sheets together.
It just made sense.
But you had made it clear it was simply sex, a means to an end. You were seeing another guy who knew about Spencer too. You told Spencer he was free to see other women.
He didn’t want to see other women. He only ever wanted to see you. He wanted to see you all the time, preferably naked and sitting on his cock.
He had agreed this was fine. He was ok with this arrangement. He’d told you he was fine with this other guy you were seeing if he was fine with you seeing Spencer.
Fine. Everything was just fine.
And you wrote my favorite song
Now I’m fucked up and carrying on
I do not know the words yet, oh
It had been a lie.
He thought he could separate the physical from his feelings but he wasn’t that kind of man. He wished he could be. But the idea of not having you all to himself made him feel sick.
And it hits me
I don't want anybody else touching you like I do
Like I do
Like me
He thought he was ok with it until he was lonely in his apartment one night. He text you asking you to come over.
Your response told him you were with your other man. And he spiralled.
He couldn’t help his mind wander over the things you would be doing together.
Did he kiss you on your neck the way you loved? Did he know the way you liked to be touched?
Did he make you feel the way Spencer did? Did he make you come the way Spencer knew how?
The thought of you naked being pleasured by another man made his heart ache. Images of you touching him, being fucked by him, screaming his name; it was too much.
He wanted to be the only one who got to touch you like that; to see you at your orgasms peak.
It really wasn’t fair. He didn’t want to share you. He didn’t want to be left alone in his room wracked with sadness at the thought of you with another man.
Is it okay?
That I don’t want anybody else touching you like I do
Like I do
Like me
Yeah
“What did you get up to with Matt last night?” Spencer asked as he made you both coffees the next morning.
You rolled your eyes.
“Mark.” you sighed as you spoke. You knew Spencer knew his name, he had an eidetic memory for god sake. He was doing it deliberately.
“Matt, Mark same difference.” he shrugged, pouring sugar into his cup.
“We just hung out.” you took the other mug he’d filled and twirled your spoon around in it. “You know, usual stuff.”
You leant back against the counter, holding the warm mug between your hands and inhaling the smell.
Spencer turned to look at you.
You had a noticeable hickey on your neck, one he certainly hadn’t left. You must know he could see it.
“The usual stuff you and Morgan would do when you hang out or the usual stuff you and I do when we hang out?”
You rolled your eyes again and pushed yourself away from the counter and headed back towards your desk.
Spencer followed close behind you.
“Just because you don’t speak doesnt mean you didn’t answer.” he whispered as he caught up with you. “Nice hickey.”
He practically stormed to his desk and threw himself in the chair.
You sighed to yourself. You should have known Spencer would be this way.
A little while later Morgan passed by your desk as you had your nose buried in a case file.
“Ohhh looks like pretty girl got some loving last night! The size of that mark on your neck Miss thing!”
You looked up at him, your cheeks stained crimson.
You made brief eye contact with Spencer. If you weren’t mistaken, his eyes were filled with tears.
He pushed his chair back and stormed away from where JJ and Emily were now getting a good look at your hickey too.
“What’s up with him?” Morgan frowned.
“I don’t think he’s feeling too good today.” You replied.
It wasn’t exactly a lie.
Tell me that nobody else touches you
Like I do, like I do
Oh, tell me that nobody else touches you like me
Tell me that nobody else touches you
Like I do, like I do
Oh, tell me that nobody else touches you like me
There was no case to take you out of the state and you were looking forward to going home.
Spencer caught up with you as you stepped in the elevator and shoved his way inside just before the doors closed.
“Do you want to come over?” he asked the second the doors shut behind him.
“Not tonight Spence, I’m exhausted.” you stifled a yawn as if to prove your point.
“Did you use all your energy on Mike?” he sounded so bitter.
“I did not use all my energy on Mark. I’m tired from dealing with a whiny, jealous baby all day.” you rolled your eyes yet again.
“I’m not jealous.” he scoffed. “Or whiny. Or a baby.”
“Sure you aren’t.” The elevator came to a stop and the doors opened.
You patted Spencer on his shoulder as you stepped out.
“Goodnight Spencer, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
He pouted a little as he watched you go.
Maybe it was time to just let you go entirely.
You’re pulling on my habit lines
The more I smoke the more I find
I can’t just fall asleep instead
One am and Spencer’s phone startled him awake. He was used to being called in the middle of the night for work so he was wide awake in an instant.
He grabbed his phone from the nightstand and put it to his ear.
“Reid.” he spoke, expecting it to be Hotch calling about a case.
“Hey,” your voice was low and sultry.
Spencer swallowed.
“What?” he knew what. He knew exactly what you were calling for.
He had to say no. He had to stay strong. He couldn’t keep giving in to you. Not anymore.
“You know what. Don’t play dumb Spence, it doesn’t suit you.”
“I’m sleeping.”
“Well I’m touching myself.” you moaned softly. “But I do wish it was your hand between my legs.”
You heard a breathy sigh leave his lips. You knew that was enough to make him hard.
“Fuck Y/N,” he groaned. “I’ll be over in a half hour.”
You grinned as you hung up the phone.
Spencer wished he wasn’t so weak. He wished he could say no to you.
He wished he could tell you it was him or Mark. You had to choose.
He would if he didn’t fear the answer.
And you’re not my protector
I hope you know it wasn’t her
That kept me off your side of the bed, oh
He put his all in that night. He wanted to make you feel the best you’d ever felt so the next time you saw Mark you were thinking of him.
He made you come seven times, you honestly didn’t think you would walk for days after. By the time the sun came up you were so sensitive you didn’t know if you’d be able to dress for work without your clothes flustering your sensitive skin.
“Jeez Spence, I hope we’ve got another office day today.” You ached all over. “I don’t know if I’m going to be any good in the field like this.”
He felt an odd sense of pride. You’d remember this, you’d remember how good he’d made you feel.
He hoped he’d fucked Mark right out of your head.
And it hits me
I don’t want anybody else touching you
Like I do
Like I do
Like I do
Like me
“Jesus pretty girl, your hickeys have hickeys!” Morgan chuckled as you walked into the BAU with no sleep and only one coffee in your system.
Spencer tried to hide the smug look from his face.
“Another night with your lover boy aye?” Emily nudged you in the arm as you made a beeline for the coffee machine.
He felt very good about himself right now.
“Speaking of your lover boy,” JJ piped up. “You had some flowers delivered this morning.”
Spencer’s face fell. No. No that wasn’t fair.
You forgot all about the coffee and headed to your desk where a beautiful array of red roses awaited you.
Spencer wanted to take them and stomp on them. The way you were stomping on his heart.
“Oh wow.” You smiled as you read the note. “How sweet.”
“If you ask me he’s trying too hard.” Spencer tried not to sound bitter or sad as he spoke. He failed miserably.
“Well good job no ones asking you.” You shot him an annoyed glance.
The tension suddenly grew thick. You and Spencer glared at one another while Morgan, Emily and JJ stared on in confusion.
“We have a case.” Hotch’s voice broke the stare off.
Thank god you thought. Saved before you had a chance to say something you’d regret.
You put the flowers down and headed towards the round table room. You heard Spencer shuffling behind you.
“What was that about?” JJ frowned.
“Your guess is as good as mine.” Emily shrugged.
“I think I’ve got an idea.” Morgan smirked as the three of them started to follow. “Pretty boy has a crush on pretty girl.”
It is okay?
That I don’t want anybody else touching you
Like I do

You barely said two words to Spencer in the four days you spent in Missouri unless it pertained to the case.
Everyone could tell something was amiss between the two of you. The team was so used to your playful banter and inside jokes you had with one another. It was painfully obvious something was going on.
It was late when you arrived back at Quantico so Hotch sent you all straight home.
Spencer caught up with you in the parking lot.
“Y/N, can we talk?”
“No.” You didn’t turn back to look at him as you headed to your car.
“Y/N please we need to talk.”
“I’m sick of this.” You groaned as you reached your vehicle. “You said you were ok with us seeing other people Spencer.” You spun back to look at him.
He was playing with the strap of his messenger back in an awkward fashion.
“Well...I’m not.” He shrugged.
“No shit.” You scoffed. “I’m sorry Spencer but I can’t do this anymore. I like Mark, he’s nice. We have fun.”
“So I’m not nice? You don’t have fun with me?” He stepped a little closer to you.
“You’re draining Spencer.” You confessed. “I once thought maybe you and I could be more than, whatever this is, but it’s exhausting Spence. With Mark it’s just easy. We spoke yesterday and he said he wanted us to get serious. No seeing other people. I told him I’d like that.”
Spencer’s heart felt like it had been ripped from his chest. He felt as though you had punched the air from his lungs.
He fought for a breath, stumbling on his feet a little.
“You’re...you’re choosing him?”
“Yes.” You chewed your lip guilty. “I’m sorry Spencer but honestly, you’re too much like hard work.” You turned away from him and opened the drivers door, closing it quickly behind you before you changed your mind.
You watched Spencer in your rear view mirror as you pulled out of your parking space.
He hadn’t moved. He just stood there, dejected and sad staring in your wake.
You were barely out of the parking lot before your first tear fell.
You’re in his living room
And it may not mean much you
But your plates are in his sink
And your sweaters on his bed
Won’t you text me when you’re home?
My baby, spare me all the rest
It had been little over a month and Spencer wouldn’t make eye contact with you. He wouldn’t speak directly to you. He wouldn’t even be in the same room as you if he could help it.
At this point the whole team knew something was up. Hotch had pulled you both up on it but you’d both lied and said everything was fine.
Everything was far from fine.
Every night for just over a month Spencer had cried himself to sleep. He’d spent his waking hours in his apartment imaging what the two of you were doing.
Were you laughing at movies? Reading together? Having romantic dinners or walks in the park hand in hand? Were you making love over and over again?
His sleep was haunted by thoughts of you too. No where was safe. He’d started wondering if he could even work with you anymore. Maybe it was time to go into teaching?
Being around you every day just didn’t seem like an option anymore because every time he saw you, his heart broke all over again.
Please just tell me
That nobody else touches you like I do
Oh tell me that nobody touches you like me
It wasn’t just that he’d lost the woman he had started developing feelings for, he had lost his best friend too. He wanted to talk to someone about the heartache he was feeling and usually that someone would be you.
He wanted his best friend back. It was killing him.
He didn’t know how to deal with losing you so he didn’t. He didn’t know how to talk to you anymore so he stopped talking to you altogether.
The flower deliveries stopped after a few months which made it slightly easier for him to forget about you dating another man.
After about seven months your demeanor shifted a little. You stopped talking about Mark as much and were more vague about your weekend plans.
By the time it was coming up to a year you stopped talking about him entirely. When Spencer overheard you speaking to JJ or Emily about your weekend plans it was always along the lines of “TV and pizza for one.”
For Garcia’s birthday the whole team was going out for drinks at a local bar. Since you ended things with him Spencer avoided hanging out with the team outside of work when you would be there. He would always come up with some kind of excuse.
But Garcia was not the kind of person to take no for an answer.
So reluctantly he went along. Emily helped him pick out a gift for her, a unicorn charm for her bracelet. Certainly not something Spencer would have chosen but Emily insisted the tech analyst would love it.
Whilst in the jewelry store a delicate silver necklace had caught his eye. It had an intricate charm of a bottle with a little label with the words “Drink Me” etched into it.
It had taken him back to a conversation from years past.
You were still new to the team and trying to keep your head down and not get in anyone's way. The team was all so close and you didn’t want to step on any toes.
On the way back from your latest case in New York you didn’t sleep like the rest of the team. You were wide awake, probably on a high from the adrenaline brought on by the case.
You sat at the back of the jet alone with your head buried in a book. You didn’t notice someone watching you or approaching you until you heard the leather seat opposite you squeak a little as your company sat down.
You looked up to see Spencer smiling softly at you.
“What are you reading?” he asked with genuine interest.
You blushed a little chewing your lip, turning the book over in your hands.
“Alice in Wonderland.” you slid the old book across the table to him.
He picked it up cautiously and turned the worn pages.
“First edition.”
“Yeah.” you nodded as he looked back up at you. “It was my dad’s. He used to read it to me when I was young. He passed away a few years ago and it helps me feel close to him.” it was the most open you’d been since joining the team.
Spencer smiled at you sadly and handed you back the book.
“I’m sorry about your dad. But that’s nice you have that.”
“Yeah I suppose it is.”
Emily had stepped out of the store to take a phone call and he had found himself purchasing the necklace. He didn’t know why. He couldn’t help himself.
Garcia had loved her charm, she’d squealed and hugged him so tightly Spencer felt the air being squeezed from his lungs.
She opened the rest of her presents while the rest of the team drank. You and Spencer kept making accidental eye contact and each time you would both smile awkwardly at one another.
You got up from the table to buy a round of drinks. Spencer watched you go. It would be his perfect chance to get to talk to you. He needed to know what was going on. Had you and Mark split up? And if you had, did that mean there was anyway he still stood a chance with you?
He’d wanted to ask for so long but every time he went to say something, the words got stuck in his throat, refusing to leave.
But this time he was determined. He needed to know where he stood once and for all.
At the very least could he get his best friend back?
And it hits me
I don’t want anybody else touching you

“Thought you might need a hand.” Spencer sidled up next to you. It was the closest you’d been to one another in almost a year.
“Thanks.” you smiled softly, a little awkwardly.
You looked at each other for a moment, neither of you sure what to say to each other.
Not so long ago the two of you could talk about anything and everything until you were blue in the face. You never ran out of things to talk to each other about. So much had changed.
Spencer reached into his inside pocket and pulled out the small jewelry box. He turned it over in his hand a few times before he held his hand out.
“I saw this when I was getting Garcia’s birthday present and I couldn’t help myself.” he shrugged like it was no big deal.
You chewed your lip as you cautiously took the box from him. You ran your fingers over it for a few seconds before you slowly opened it.
Tears immediately sprang to your eyes as you looked down at the little Alice in Wonderland themed necklace cushioned inside the box.
You looked back up at Spencer with a sniff.
“Spence,” a small tear escaped your eye. “You remembered.”
“I remember everything about you.” he shrugged again.
You sniffed back any more tears that might fall and gently lifted the necklace from the box.
“Could you help me?” you held it out for Spencer who nodded and took the necklace from you.
He unclasped it as you turned around. He gently draped it around your neck and secured it.
You turned back to face him, you fingers on the necklace charm.
“Thank you so much Spencer, I love it.”
“You’re welcome.” he smiled. “I hope Mitch doesn’t mind you wearing it.”
You couldn’t help but laugh.
“We broke up.” you didn’t bother to correct him on his name. “A few months ago.”
“Oh.” Spencer tried not to look too pleased about this. “Do you mind me asking why?”
“I think you know why.” you stepped a little closer to him. “He wasn’t the right man for me.”
“Oh.” he squeaked a little. “That’s uhm...I’m sorry to hear that.”
“No you aren’t.” you laughed, stepping even closer to him.
You placed your hands carefully on his shoulders and you felt him practically melt into your touch.
“Anyway I’m the one that should be sorry.” you whispered.
“For what?” he croaked, feeling weak at your proximity.
“For choosing the wrong man. I should have known better.” you wrapped your arms around his neck, your body so close he could feel your warmth. “I don’t know if I’ve ever told you this before, but I have a guilty pleasure for rom-coms.”
“You’ve definitely never told me that before. I would have remembered giving you a hard time for that.” he laughed a little and so did you.
“Yeah, I figured as much.” you nodded. “Anyway, with my extensive knowledge of rom-coms I should have known.”
“Should have known what?” he swallowed a lump in his throat.
“That the girl always ends up with the best friend.” and with that you pressed your lips against his.
Spencer immediately took hold of your face in his hands and deepened the kiss.
You didn’t care that your whole team was probably watching. You didn’t care the whole bar could have been watching. All you cared about was Spencer.
When the kiss broke you both had tears in your eyes. You kept your arms around his neck and he wrapped his around your waist to keep you close.
“I never want to have to think about someone else touching you the way I do again Y/N. I want to be the only person who gets to touch you.”
“Ok.” you smiled brightly at him. “But only if I get to be the only person who gets to touch you.”
Spencer laughed, kissing you again.
“That my love,” he smiled. “Is all I’ve ever wanted.”
Is it okay?
That I don’t want
Anybody else touching you like I do

headcanon: “when the svu boys knew they were in love with you”
created in conjunction with @hurricanejjareau.
1. rafael barba -
his head’s on the desk, and he’s fairly sure any coherent thought has long since fled his mind. rafael’s breaking down, slowly, and somehow you know. you always know. you have to get a text, or something, a call from whoever decides to unload the weight of the world on rafael’s shoulders. oh, don’t worry, carino, your boyfriend is simply working himself to death again.
because you always show. and this time, it’s in the nick of time. he’s about to collapse, perhaps quite literally as he leans against his window for what he’s calling a break, when you push open the door to his office with a... look. it’s not angry, not even disappointed, just the perfect mixture of concerned and amused and exasperated that makes him feel so incredibly loved.
loved. in love. in love with the way you walk over with a decaf coffee to remind him of the taste, give him enough energy to drag him back home and make sure he cleans up before collapsing into bed next to you.
rafael barba loves you, and falls asleep before he can overthink it. an ultimate blessing, because the last thing he really processes is that he’s got his arms around the love of his life, and he’s unsure if that’s a feeling he’ll ever get over.
2. sonny carisi -
sonny realizes he loves you at the exact moment he says it.
it’s not premeditated. it’s not thought out. it just happens. he’s watching you try your hand at cooking (”it’ll never live up to you, sonny carisi”), and he can’t help but come up behind you and kiss your temple as you tell him about your day. he’s watching your hands move a little as you speak, watching the way your brow furrows and your eyes widen as you describe your day, laughs with you but quiets so he can just hear your voice as you speak. it doesn’t matter what his day was like (long and boring and tedious) because you make it better just by being there. and before he can think about anything else, he’s thinking it and he’s saying it.
“i love you.”
and of course you freeze, of course you do. and sonny goes bright red, because that’s how sonny carisi works - his face lights up like a goddamn fire hydrant, and he’s stumbling to take it back, to apologize. because holy hell, he loves you, and he’s looking at you and blinking, eyes wide, as it hits him all at once.
you smile at him, though. and that’s what matters in the end. smile at him, offer him a taste of what you’ve been stirring, and he knows that it’ll all be okay.
3. nick amaro -
nick doesn’t doubt you’ll like zara and gil. he has no reason to.
hell, he’s almost positive zara will love you, in her both arms open and gripping you tight kind of way. and gil will adore you, in his shyer ask you questions until you’ve bared your soul to the kid kind of way. they’re good kids, great kids, and you’re incredible in the way that makes him smile when he thinks about you.
what he doubts is that everything will truly slot into place. because maria is halfway across the country, and cynthia is still holding back that little bit of her life that she absolutely has the right to, and nick is so damaged that he’s unsure he even has the right to ask you into his life at all.
but because you’re you, you come in like a little bit of a wave. a gentle rush of warmth over everyone. and you woo maria with your grin, and you charm cynthia with your gentle teasing, and zara and gil have just as much fun racing you on their bikes as they do fielding grounders from him. and he’s watching you, your hair in the wind looking wild as the three of you laugh ahead on the path, knowing that the warmth in his chest won’t ever go away.
he loves you. he really loves you. and he can’t help but hope that maybe he can have it all. just this once.
4. mike dodds -
mike’s in the hospital... again. because of course he is. he’s pretty bad at staying out of it, if he’s honest. and all he can think about is you.
he’s been in enough of hospital rooms to know they’re not the greatest places in the world. he’s very aware of every part of him that’s hurt and busted, but all of that takes a backseat. because all he can think is how your face must’ve looked when the doctors called you, how your eyes must’ve narrowed, how your jaw must’ve clenched. you’ve been with him through a lot, so he knows your eyes roll with the frustration before telling her you’ll be there as soon as you can. he knows you better than he knows himself.
and when he hears your voice outside his door, everything else fades away. because even though you come in, exhausted, glaring, arms crossed over your chest, he knows exactly what you’re thinking. even in the face of your frustration he gives a bright, wide smile. one you return, despite yourself.
“you’re impossible, mike.”
“i know.”
mike dodds is really lucky, he realizes, in that moment, to be so in love with someone so special. he’s in love with you, and nothing else matters. and he knows that no matter how many time he ends up in this exact spot, watching you walk into a hospital room, you’ll always be there.
5. peter stone -
peter gets home before you, for once, and it feels a little bit like a miracle. one he’s determined to take advantage of, as he shrug out of his pullover and gets to work.
there are things that fall apart as the both of you dive into your work weeks - things like the dishes, the living room, the bedroom. there’s a lot of going, going, going, and then the week is gone. but peter is home early, and he finds himself diving in without thinking.
he doesn’t exactly know why he does it - maybe because he knows that your shoulders will sag in relief as you come through the door and realize the weekend can start exactly how it’s meant to, with relaxing against him on the couch with a show pulled up you can both finally finish. maybe because you love the feeling of clean sheets after a shower in the evening. maybe because after everything this week has thrown at you, you deserve to come home and not worry about a thing.
and then it hits him as he’s turning down the bed, folding the comforter back so it’s perfectly laid out so you can crawl right in if you want to - he loves you. he loves you, and so things like this are the easy option, and he smiles to himself as he finishes up the bed, smiles even wider when he hears the jingle of your keys outside the door.

Your heartbeat grew louder with each passing second as Mike abused the door with one too many knocks. You didn't know if you could talk, or breath or do anything other than vomiting though this time from the anxiety building at the pits of your stomach and not due to your very recent event of morning sickness.
"Are you alright in there?"
You choke on your own voice as you try to huff a single response. It's not really up to your judgement of you're alright or not but rather in the small white object's that rests between the thumbs and pointer fingers of each of your hands. You contemplate if there's a way to not raise any more suspicion to the blond male, you're at his house for all that matters. Nanaba called you to take care of their their twins and you happily complied to your half sister's pleas because Mike had a very important job interview. Life had taken a toll on him lately, they couldn't afford a babysitter and he was just recently fired due to his company having to cut down expenses thanks to the pandemic. Amidst this pandemonium he had to find a way to provide for his family and help Nanaba with at least a short monthly salary. So babysitting your beloved niece and nephew wasn't much of a problem. Not until now.
At first it hadn't bothered you that your period was late, you had accepted the pcos lifestyle the hard way ever since you first got it. You would track down your period in hopes you could ever predict when it would come again but it always seemed to surprise you. Sometimes it would come in a months notice only to take four months to do a full circle. At twenty three, this was the most positive outturn as a resolution to your problem. Levi was pushing you to eat healthy and exercise to get a better grip of your situation, even though you knew it was in vain. And thus, overall it didn't bother you that you hadn't had your period still, fatigue and breast inflammation were also common problems due to hormonal abnormalities so you chose not to pay any attention to those early signs either.
What had driven you to urge Levi to drop you off to the drugstore next to Nanaba's house though was that you've been having symptoms of morning sickness for almost a week now, that you had tried to push aside for Levi not to notice. He would quarantine you on your on your own and go stay with Erwin and Hange had he any suspicion of you being down with the stomach flu. The stomach flu though didn't feel like that and you knew, you had been through it one too many times, this was something different and yet you cursed at yourself for overthinking it. You had bought the pregnancy test as something that was supposed to turn out negative, as a positive resolution that you weren't pregnant and that you should quest for whatever it was that was making your stomach turn and twist every morning.
Upon finally opening the door in an attempt not to delay Mike who wanted to attend his interview, the blond male inspected your form with a harsh gaze. "You shouldn't push yourself if you're sick. We could call my mother to watch over Eli and Blaire."
"No." You pushed it off. "I'm fine Mike, it's probably that weird mushroom soup I ate yesterday, Levi insisted on not buying it but I didn't listen."
"I see." Mike said scrunching his nose at the process. Sometimes you hated that he knew you so well that he could even smell you lying, but he was Nanaba's childhood friend before her mother married your father and had you; you had practically grown up with the blond duo so for all you knew, even if he was certainly aware that you were lying he didn't push things further. He simply placed a hand on your shoulder, the brother like nature of his touch as assuring as one can be. "If you need anything call me, I'll answer as soon as possible, drink lots of water and don't wear yourself down."
You bore your eyes into his and nodded simply. Mike greeted the twins with reluctance and let out a sigh before fixing his suit perfectly on his shoulders. The small kids smiled bubbly in return and waved at their father enthusiastically. As soon as the door closed and their father got out of sight both children jumped on you with loud giggles. The act alone was enough to curl your lips into an upward position.
By noon you had fed and lulled the kids to sleep, earning some significant time to sink into the crevices of the feathery soft sofa before Nanaba came back from her shift. As tiring as Eli and Blaire were you enjoyed their teeny company. You didn't mind their lack of ability to form full understandable sentences yet, you loved how they didn't even try to spare a second thought on what they bubbled on about and you did your best to provoke them to speak correctly. They would open their arms for you, their tiny palms signaling you to take them into long affectionate hugs as they called a baby spoken version of your nickname and you would melt at it every single time. Everyone knew you much you loved the chubby cheeked sweethearts, as much as it contrasted with your usual demeanor. There was something that truly made you feel like the best version of yourself when you were around them.
Babies seemed to be a hot topic in your group of friends for a couple of months now, ever since you started helping Nanaba in the house before Mike got fired. Levi seemed very unbothered by the subject in a way that saddened you almost; sure, you might have talked about it in the past, being that he was a little older than you and he might have understood that you longed to be a mother one day, but that was as far as that one conversation had gone. He still had that bored, stoic gaze that slipped off of yours when you would encounter a baby in the street, whereas you would basically make heart eyes and weird grimaces to any infant he would just click his tongue and avert his gaze away, to any other direction as if he disapproved off your fondness.
That memory alone left you hollowing inside as you recalled of the two very much pink lines on the screen of the test this morning. Naturally you would check with a doctor before jumping to conclusions, there still was a chance that the test was at fault and you wanted to bet on simply that. If the case was that you were actually pregnant though things were more complicated than you wanted them to be. For instance you were still in University, for your last year at that, but you had excessive amounts of studying to get your hands on your degree and Levi was cornered and ready to be squished by his job for being a vice president, which was unfair as he worked for Erwin. You understood the situation though as Erwin was struggling to keep the company going especially through these rough rough times. There was also the fact that you were terrified of Levi asking you to put the baby down, with pcos wearing your system down you were panicking that you wouldn't have a chance to conceive a baby later on. What if this was your only chance? You've always longed to be a mother so it didn't matter that it came to you this early right?
The sound of the front door clicking open shook you off your thoughts immediately. For better or for worse it was Nanaba that had finally returned, eager to strip herself of her clothes and face mask and run to the bathroom. She offered you small greeting to which you only nodded, your tired mind ordering your eyes to find comfort at small shapes in the ceiling. You didn't know how long your sister took in the bathroom, but judging by the lack of giggling coming from the babies' room you supposed it wasn't for long.
"You want to wait for Levi to come pick you up or should I give you a ride home when Mike's back? He should be home soon!" She spoke as she poured water in a red metallic boiler.
"I'll just walk. I need some air."
Nanaba emitted a soft hum in response "Are you alright? You seem off."
"Oh no." You brushed her off "I was just thinking about what I should wear at Erwin and Hange's anniversary dinner next week, and what gift to buy Levi now that his birthday is coming."
"Good, I see, just don't stress alright?"
___
The way home was longer than you had initially remembered, whether it was for your inability to walk with a steady pace or mostly because it was already getting dark and cold. You wondered if Levi would be getting home by now as you neared the apartment complex the two of you resided in. By the looks of your illuminated window he was already home as expected of him this certain hour. It probably was one of those days when he didn't have a strict deadline to attend to, which, under normal circumstances, only meant more cuddles and kisses for you. Yet, tonight was different.
"Hey Levs" Your voice lingered in his brain the moment you stepped inside.
"Hey brat, welcome home." The kiss you left on his cheek as you hurriedly headed to the bathroom was different, off almost, and he picked up on it immediately. "Did Nanaba drop you off? I had asked Mike to come by tonight, he said he'd bring some tea leaves he bought for me."
He leaned at the frame of the door as he watched you wash every crevice of your face thoroughly, paying enough attention to the insides of your outer nasal cavity. He was pretty meticulous about hygiene and especially at times like these with a hole pandemic going on he wasn't taking any chances, you knew, plus you were kind of disgusted of germs lately yourself, you thought you finally understood where he was coming from. He took a few steps ahead, away from your body in search of a clean face towel to hand out to you when you were done. You have it to him, even if he seemed cold as stone that domestic lifestyle was mesmerizing to you.
"Thanks baby, you're the best." You half smiled.
"You good?"
At this point you wondered if you seriously we're so easy to read. You supposed you were off, but you were always off and unresponsive to many things so what exactly was it about today that made everyone know you had a conflict in your mind.
"Yeah I'm just tired, I walked here."
Levi clicked his tongue at that "Nanaba's home is very far away from here, have a shower and I'll rub your legs and feet." With eyes that never left yours Levi watched as your face lit up a little more, he gave you a tiny of a smile on return.
"You prooomise Levs?" You knew teasing with him could only lead to one thing, yet you did it shamelessly.
"Tch, of course, hurry up, I'm making pancakes with eggs and bacon."
Normally at the very sound of this particular food your eyes would water and your mouth would drool but the unresponsive nature of your expression only sent a new wave of worry through Levi's chest. As much as he had wanted to convince himself you were just tired, he couldn't, not after this reaction to your favorite snack. He decided not to push you into saying anything you didn't want to though. Maybe it was that enormous amount of notes you had to memorize for your next exams in addition to your fatigue and any hormonal altercations.
"Yeah" you trailed off "babe, about that, can we have cocktail shrimp? And maybe fried rice and fries? Pretty pretty please?"
Ah, there it was. Although it was a rare occasion for you not to be in the mood of his infamous pancakes, you could still have a few different cravings from time to time. Levi let out a sigh of relief as he proceeded your order trying to figure of where he should order from, last night's mushroom soup had messed your stomach up, that he knew, but you seemed to be fine now so in theory that should be enough to prevent him from whining out his concerns.
As he closed the door to the bathroom he hummed his favorite tune to himself, softly enough as not to disturb you with your bath. He picked up his phone from the kitchen table with ease before collapsing on the couch, there was a limit to what his body could take and he had surpassed that by far these past few months. Endless deadlines that took turns one after another and extra hours at the office had been killing him, mentally and physically, making him a little more grumpy than usual. In great addition his back ached, his fingers were sore and his mind felt like canned alphabet soup every single night. Perhaps, seeing him in this state was taking a toll on you as well; you were always so protective over him, almost like a mother to her child, despite being younger, and he if he had to, he'd admit he enjoyed it a little too much than he should have.
When you came out of the bathroom he gazed over you briefly, you were sitting before the end of the dresser, standing in front of the full body mirror, examining your form. He seemed to be puzzled by your demeanor once again. Normally, or up until yesterday, you would have immediately shot out to where he was seated at to plough into his arms with wet hair, only to slightly irritate him for getting him wet, not that he didn't enjoy to smell your fresh scent anyway, but it was a game of routine for you by now. It was almost as if you were seeking to be scolded at for not rushing to dry your hair. He always wanted you as healthy as ever.
You couldn't shake off your head how soft Levi's chest is. There probably wasn't a reason as to why he's sleeping shirtless tonight, your apartment was very warm, given that it was the start of December already, but you didn't complain. The feeling of creamy, milky soft skin, perfectly excused by any coarse hair was slowly putting you to sleep. You loved how Levi was so soft everywhere you touched, it was so unlike what the world perceived of him, maybe your baby's skin was going to be as smooth and perfect as his and not as dry and oily as yours. Of course the baby's skin was going to be soft, ugh and those little arms and legs, you couldn't lie to your self, deep down you were just a tad excited to have a baby, if it meant that it would look like Levi you wouldn't want to give up on it for the world.
"Levi, does Kenny keep baby pictures of you?"
"What?" The onyx haired male raised a brow at your inquiry but didn't give you enough time to repeat yourself before he answered. "My mother had so many pictures of me so I guess that it's natural that he has some and well there probably are a few pictures from after my mother's death, I'm not that sure."
In response, he only earned a hum.
"Tch, can I lay on your chest? I want you to play with my hair." His eyes pleaded with you in the darkness. Of course you could never say no to such thing, you loved it even more when he was the one sleeping on you. Another sentence left his lips, this time with a yawn as he shifted himself on you, cooing like a small child. "I'll call Kenny tomorrow, sleep now I know you need it."
____
Under any other circumstance you would have loved seeing everyone's dumbfounded faces stating at you as if they had seen the dead rise from their graves. You had to pinch your arms to remind yourself this was indeed serious and you shouldn't let out a single chuckle.
"Please tell me you're joking" Nanaba pleaded, placing her hand on yours in disbelief.
"I'm going to screeeeeam! Shorty can't even hold it in, ghaaaa!"
"Hange he will hear you through the restroom."
Hange blinked her eyes rapidly at the sound of that. "You haven't told him?" She immediately seemed to lose her enthusiasm, something you hadn't intended to happen, especially at such a night, but you knew you didn't have a say in other people's emotions.
"Hange he never seemed too fond of the idea, why would I complicated things for him?"
Mike's eyes widened in disbelief. There was no way in hell he was having this. You were practically his little sister, seeing you so tormented as you were in the moment when you spoke those words ravaged his last nerve, causing anger to clench his hands into fists. He watched as you took a small bite of your food giving the rest to Eli who was comfortably sitting on your lap, tapping his little hands on the rim of your plate. Other than the fact you broke out such news to him, Nanaba Hange and Erwin and had expressed your fears on informing your significant other, you seemed quite bubbly. Children really did bring out such a soft side of you, he knew that was for sure.
"Hange" you spoke, unphased as ever "Levi's coming please stop screaming at me, i love you but it's only making me dizzy."
It felt as if a thousand pairs of eyes were burning holes through his whole body, his head, and everywhere around his personal space bubble. Levi could feel his pulse tense just a tad, Hange's unnerving gaze and her crippling smile were fixated especially on him, making his nose itchy. There was something very different in the atmosphere around him; Nanaba wasn't eating anymore, she was more fixated on her daughter than anyone else, Erwin was nervously staring between him and you and you and Mike were trying to clean Eli's hands from the food he had just touched. When the scenery wasn't something irregular, none of you dared look eachother in the eyes, beat it that Hange was staring only at him.
"Oi, what the fuck is wrong-"
"Levi, shorty! Does Eli look like he's enjoying himself in (y/n)'s arms?" Hange turned her sweetened gaze on you, making you choke on your words, you shot her an atrociously strict glare. "Remember when Nanaba gave birth? What do you think about babies? Maybe you think they smell a lot? But what about ackerbabies?"
"Way to be discreet Han, thank you!" Your lips puckered in anger as you brought your arms to cross under your chest.
"Wait what's going on shitty glasses?"
"Yada Yada shorty, you're not getting a word from me, my lips are sealed" Hange spoke and shut her eyes to emphasize the significance of her words.
You sighed in a pathetic attempt to relieve some tention of your chest. A tight knot had formed due to anxiety, fog had clouded over your brain and you were feeling so faint and exhausted that you just wanted to get it over with. You didn't mind standing there like a fish out of water after breaking the news to him, the tention in the air was in fact what was making you suffocate in your seat. With wobbly hands you pushed Eli off your lap, not caring about the moan of disagreement he made and you shot up from your seat, announcing you had to take some fresh air. Levi had to stop Nanaba mid tracks to be able to come after you, fast enough to be there when you got out.
Naturally, you stood seated at a bench that neared the restaurant. Your hands were covering your face scratching softly through your hair, probably in attempts to calm your self down. He approached you without any second thought, this time determined to know what was it with you. Your behavior these past week had been unnerving and overly concerning to say the least. Carefully he sat himself down next to you, his right arm come around your frame comfortingly while the left one came to caress underneath your cheek.
"You should probably talk to me."
Your voice came muffled from between your palms as you still hadn't dared to look him in the eye. "Levi, I'm, I'm so sorry it's just... I'm very anxious."
"I think I figured that, brat." His voice was so soothing, it felt as if he was speaking to you in the comfort of your private room, not on a bench outside a semi fancy restaurant
"You know when Hange talked about ackerbabies she uhm, she might have had a particular baby in mind."
Levi blinked erratically for a single second before his mouth, unable to compel to his brain's orders, formed the shape of an oh. Of course, in the moment it was hard to click with any other even but he attributed that to his lack of knowledge over the situation. Had he any clue or suspicion that you could be pregnant he would have been able to realise that it wasn't that your stress had been messing with your stomach every morning and that your extreme fatigue couldn't possible align with the erratically swift rhythm of your palms. Of course, of course it wasn't a thermometer that you had disposed of in the toilet, he wanted to slap himself for being so naive as to believe that. He was strict with recycling rules, you wouldn't have just straight up there s thermometer in the trash. Fuck now's not the time to think about recycling.
With the soft, chaste kiss at the top of your hair you finally decided to turn your gaze to him. Watery eyes met with an adoring grey gaze, a gaze you've never seen at this extreme before. "I love you, you know." Another kiss meant your head got to lift a little more, just to get closer to him. "I don't say it often but you don't have to worry, I'll try to tell our kid more often."
Your eyes shimmered with adoration at his words, despite the cold weather you couldn't bring yourself to feel not even a little tingle, Levi was keeping you so warm with his words. "Really? You want this?"
"Tch why wouldn't I, you thought I'd ever let you go and leave me lonely? I've always thought you knew we're sharing the same future."
Your lips attacked his in fiery passion. It was a natural reaction to his words, an ice melting kiss, a promise for the future. There were many reasons as to why you lived Levi but maybe the fact that you would have a little stoic faced baby running around your feet made you love him a little bit more.

So obviously there’s Supercorp in medieval times AUs
(trust and believe I’ve read and loved every single one they never get old)
But what about a Supercorp at Medieval Times AU…
Lena, is the reigning Queen:
She started working there in high school because she needed an excuse to get out of the house and because she knew Lillian would frown upon such an establishment
(She stayed because the joy of the kids that come through is just too sweet a high)
Lena started as a serving girl, entry level and easy enough, but quickly set her eyes on the prize: The Throne
The Queen at the time, an undeniably irritating woman, Siobhan, makes it almost too easy for Lena to usurp her
Siobhan has multiple reviews from guests for her lackluster performance, as well as numerous complaints from coworkers for being a menace to work with
In the end, Siobhan all but hands Lena everything she needs
Siobhan is late for the start of the dinner show, on a busy Friday
Lena isn’t the one to find her, but, if pressed, she’ll admit to making sure the manager was
The show needs to get started but they absolutely will be having a conversation later about the fact that she was just caught fucking one of the squires in her changing room
(It does not go her way)
Suddenly the Throne is open and there’s another show tomorrow and the manager is scrambling because how will we find a queen in less than a day
And so Lena makes her move; stops by the manager’s office and offers to cover the role until they can find someone permanent; she knows the show from watching it everyday and, best of all, she already fits the current wardrobe
And so her reign begins
Kara, is determined to be a Knight:
She starts about a month after Lena becomes Queen
Her best friend, Winn, a jester who does a pre-show act as people are being seated, gets her an interview to be a stable hand
A lifetime of riding horses makes her more than qualified
Kara is feeding one of the horses the first time she sees Lena, already dressed for the dinner show
(She almost loses a finger in her distraction)
They don’t get a chance to talk for a few days, as far as Kara can tell Lena is pretty aloof and unsociable
It’s two days later when Kara finds Lena grooming one of the horses after a show and she finds out that it’s just been a bad week for Lena
In addition to some personal family stuff, the knights in the show have all, at one time or another, tried to ask her out and a couple really don’t know how to take “no” for an answer
After seeing her work with the horse, Kara tells her she’s always welcome in the stables with her
She wields her broom like a sword, promises to protect her from any and all unsavory knights, and finishes with a deep bow in hopes of making her crack a smile
She gets a deep belly laugh, head thrown back and cheeks dusted pink, and a smile that almost blinds her instead
She feels her heart trip over itself in her chest and knows she must become a knight so she can at least pretend to fight for the love of this incredible woman
A few months into working there, Lena catches her practicing with a sword between shows
A few too many call outs meant someone was needed to polish the gear and Kara got distracted™️
Lena just picks up a sword of her own, with an elaborate flourish, and they spend half of their lunch break having a duel
Both are very impressed by the others swordsmanship and also very turned on by the whole thing
They both keep that bit to themselves
Lena starts plotting her next show shake up
A few months later, there’s drama™️ in the arena during the knights practice jousts, which is to say, Morgan is in a huff because Lena turned him down, again, and Maxwell can’t help but taunt him by bragging that she’ll “totally say yes" to him when he asks again
Mike and James try to calm them both down but Morgan’s horse gets spooked and throws him off
He doesn’t break anything but the way he’s whimpering you’d think he did; either way he can’t perform that night
Before the manager can start to panic, Lena suggests Kara take Morgan’s spot for the night
He’s hesitant about putting a female in the role but his options are limited with their back up on vacation
Kara is shocked that Lena suggests her but quickly jumps to her own defense
It’s already known she’s great on a horse, and her time working with them (and in the gym) mean that Morgan’s gear will work well enough for her to be comfortable and still in control
It’s too close to the doors opening for anything else so Kara dons the armor (and if she can’t stop smiling well then that’s just too bad for everyone else because she’s ecstatic)
As they gather to determine the winner for that night’s show, Lena looks almost as excited for her as Kara is
The Queen and her four Knights gather around and Lena blindly draws a beanbag from the dark box in front of them: Red will be winning tonight
She replaces the bag and mixes them up a bit before the knights all draw their own
Kara draws blue; Lena thinks it’s fitting for her first show, considering how bright her blue eyes are shining in excitement, even if it means she’ll be coming in second that night
Mike gets red and all Lena can think is at least it’s not Maxwell again
The show goes better than most have in weeks
Kara’s joy is palpable and the Blue section is, at times, deafening
Even though she comes in second, when Kara removes her helmet and reveals herself to the crowd, the entire arena erupts
Lena, from her place on the throne, can see little kids all over the crowd in awe of her
(Shortly after Lena had become Queen, she had suggested adding a sort of meet and greet after the shows, a chance for the younger kids to meet their heroes of the night
As is her own custom, Lena is with the winning Knight, seeing as they had just fought for her hand, after all)
Most nights the knights are greeted by kids from their own section, but tonight, from where Lena is standing with Mike, she can see kids in crowns from all the sections eager to meet Kara
Kara, absolutely cannot stop beaming and is told more than a few times that she needs to make her interactions quicker
(She does not go quicker)
When she finally does get through all the guests waiting for her, the manager offers Kara the role permanently
Morgan had quit when he heard Kara was replacing him and there’s no denying the popularity of her as a knight
It feels like an eternity (it’s been two weeks) before Kara finally draws the winning color for the night: Green
She thinks it’s fitting, just like Lena’s eyes as it were
Lena, for her part tries desperately to not show how excited she is that Kara will finally be her winning Knight
The show goes exactly as it always does, everything running without a hitch, but Kara can’t help but be a nervous wreck as they get to the end
She has the flower crown in hand, she knows what comes next but she can’t help but feel jittery in her saddle
She knows she needs to trot past her section in victory
She knows she needs to ride to Lena in the Royal Box
She knows she needs to place the flowers on her head and crown her the “Queen of Love and Beauty”
She knows Lena thanks her winning Knight with a kiss on the cheek
She knows all of this but she didn’t know ya know
She finds she’s distinctly unprepared for Lena’s face to be anywhere near her face
All Kara can do as she approaches Lena is hope desperately that she doesn’t look as nervous about a kiss on the cheek as she feels
(Alex never let’s her live it down after she hears the story)
Kara stops her horse next to the Royal Box as Lena rises to greet her
She’s sure it’s a trick of the lights that showed a flash of nerves across Lena’s face as well
Kara can feel her hands shaking as she places the crown on Lena’s head; she’s shocked her horse hasn’t picked up on her nerves as well
It’s only when Lena’s lips finally make contact with her cheek, close enough to the corner of her mouth to be felt, that Kara realizes she hasn’t been breathing
Kara sees the nerves clearly now, as Lena straightens back up to finish the show, so she does the only thing she can think to do in front of a packed arena
She catches Lena’s hand off the railing that separates them and plants her lips firmly to the back of it, blue eyes locked on Lena’s own green
The smiles they send each other would outshine the sun if given the chance before Lena shakes herself out of her daze to finally actually finish the show
After the show, after greeting the guests with their hands as good as glued together, they finally get back to their shared changing room
(An unexpected blessing and curse once there were two females needing a place to change for the shows)
Lena is barely in the door before she’s very much pinned against it by her very happy and very beautiful knight
They don’t outright tell anyone about the shift between them
James is the first to realize that when Kara wins, the kisses get closer and closer to real; he catches them both after a show and gives them a quick “congrats” and a wink before heading to change
Mike doesn’t clock onto the difference for when Kara wins but when he eventually finds out they’re dating he gives them a “right on” and high fives them both
Maxwell doesn’t notice anything because he doesn’t pay attention to parts of the show that don’t involve him; they very pointedly tell him absolutely nothing about themselves
If this was a real story and not me stream-of-consciousness-ing then Nia and Brainy would work at the gift shop
Also this is how I pictured Lena for the entirety of this:

i made a rough plot for straighttma, do with this what you will
S1- Sasha has a crush on Jon; Jon thinks he’s too good for her. Tim is a massive twink; subtle feelings for Jon are shown. Martin gets made fun of a lot. Jane Prentiss tries to seduce Martin. Angry that he spurns her, she attacks the Institute. Michael is nonbinary and portrayed as predatory. Elias is a misogynist. (idk why this is super undetailed compared to the other ones)
S2- Sasha is replaced by the not-them who is way more attractive than her; Jon falls for her. Martin gets made fun of a lot. Tim grows strangely depressed and begins to act out of character. (I feel like his parents come to stay with him or something and start making fun of him for being gay so he tones down his queerness.) This makes Jon suspicious of him. Helen comes and gives her statement and Jon cheats on Sasha with her. When he finds out that Michael ate her he is full of manly rage. He still is with [not] Sasha tho. Jon is devastated when he finds out that Sasha was killed by the not-them since he loved her all along. Daisy and Basira are still suspicious of Jon, pretty much business as usual with them. Also, Jon finds out that Elias and Gertrude were married and he is the product of Gertrude’s affair with Leitner.
S3 - Jon goes to stay with Georgie and Quincy. Georgie is a kindergarten teacher. They start off rocky until Elias realizes that Quincy has inherited some of Jon’s eye powers and kidnaps him (to use him for the apocalypse, though Jon doesn’t know this.) Jon and Georgie bond over saving their child and fall in love again. Then, Jon is kidnapped by Nikola and when Michael comes to kill him, Jon is so clearly enraged about Michael eating Helen that Helen is able to take over Michael through the power of love. However, Jon is disgusted by Helen’s new monstrous form (she just has red eyes and really long fingernails) so he reluctantly travels through her door, telling Helen that he doesn’t believe it’s really her anymore. After this, Jon realizes that he must protect Quincy and Georgie by returning to the Institute. Basira and Melanie still get tricked into joining the Institute. Also, Melanie ran a ghost-themed youtube channel rather than a ghost hunt one. When Jon goes to visit Jude, he brings Melanie along and there is weird sexual tension between them. Later they are shown fxcking. When Jon visits Mike Crew instead of Mike Vasting him, they get in a physical fight. Then Daisy comes and takes Mike by surprise. She realizes that since Jon was fighting Mike he must be good so they go back to the Institute together where the Elias scene happens. Also, when Tim finds out that Jon was kidnapped by Nikola he vows to get revenge and is shown being super dedicated to stopping the Unknowing. He lies and says that he had a brother who was taken by them so no one suspects his feelings. At the Unknowing, Nikola says she’ll kill Jon if Tim doesn’t confess his feelings so he does. Also, Gertrude comes to Jon the same as before (she looks super young for an old lady) and says she’s disappointed in him. Same with Leitner. Daisy kills Hope and is put in the Buried by Breekon but this is portrayed as her being strong but just not strong enough. Then Tim sacrifices himself to save everyone.
S4 - After watching Jon nearly die, Basira realizes she loves Jon. She visits him in the hospital everyday. Then Ophelia (Oliver) Banks comes and goes into Jon’s dream to bang him which wakes him up. At first, Basira is really jealous and acts hostile to Jon but their feelings finally culminate and they kiss. Meanwhile, Peter Lukas--who is bitter because Gertrude rejected him--asks Martin if he wants revenge on the archival staff for making fun of him all the time. Martin says yes and turns evil and starts working for Peter. It turns out that when the Flesh attacked, Melanie got a slaughter bullet in her bc Jared just happened to be using a slaughter gun. The only reason Basira and Melanie are alive is because Helen saved them (same as before except in this one Melanie is incapable and weak.) After Jon removes the slaughter bullet from Melanie she realizes she loves him. Jon has some conflict but he decides he likes Melanie better. They are together for a while but ultimately break up because Melanie is too much of a SJW. Breekon delivers the coffin and Jon ceaseless watches him in rage at him having Daisy in the coffin. He goes in there. He and Daisy frick in there and now they are together. Jon asks Daisy to give up the Hunt because obviously he knows what’s best for her and she does it. Then they go to stop Manuela together. Meanwhile, Melanie tries to find out Peter and Martin’s plan. She and Martin start to bond over being weirdo outsiders. When Daisy and Jon find Manuela she is a cold, sexy-but-traumatized femme fatale. Jon starts to know her to death or whatever he did to Breekon because he is struggling with his humanity but then Daisy begs him to stop. Helen shows up and eats Manuela. Daisy and Jon get mad at her for this because it’s evil or whatever. Then they return to the Institute. Jon starts being suspicious about Annabelle Cane so he goes to Hilltop Road alone. Annabelle Cane is there and she’s Russian and wearing all leather. She says she’ll tell Jon her plan if he fricks her. Jon wants to say no but the Web compels him to do it (this is portrayed as hot rather than as rape.) Anyway, so Jon and Anabelle Cane frick and then Anabelle gives Jon her statement before leaving stealthily. When Jon returns, Melanie says there’s tapes from Martin on her desk. Martin apparently was having second guesses about being evil because of his newfound love for Melanie. Trevor, Julia, and the not-them show up so Daisy kisses Jon and sacrifices herself back into the hunt to stop them. Basira is killed in the mix. Who knows what Melanie is doing. And Jon goes to the panopticon to stop Peter and Martin. Meanwhile, things go down as usual except Peter has kidnapped Georgie in order to lure Jon. He chucks Georgie and Martin into the lonely. Jon goes in there to save them but is only able to bring Georgie back but he does manage to destroy Lukas. Jon asks Melanie to take care of Quincy so that Quincy can be safe from anything that follows Jon. Then Jon and Georgie go to the safehouse together and frick a lot. Jon starts the eyepocalypse or whatever idk.
S5 - Jon and Georgie begin to travel through the apocalypse. In each domain, Jon kills the avatar, thus freeing the people. However, Jon knows that there’s too many domains for him to reach each one so he has to destroy Elias to destroy all of the domains at once. Helen follows Jon and Georgie around like in the real thing. They go to the hunt domain where daisy is and Jon sees that she’s monstrous so he kills her. As Daisy dies in his arms, she says she still loves him and she kisses him. Georgie is jealous and this leads to conflict. When they get to Salaesa’s they find out he was controlling Annabelle all along. Annabelle keeps trying to seduce Jon and Jon rejects her but Salaesa gets mad and kicks Jon and Georgie out. Georgie doesn’t believe Jon was innocent in this. Then when they get to Martin’s domain they find that Martin has been protecting Melanie and Quincy there all along and Melanie and Martin are completely in love. When Georgie sees how excited Jon is to see Quincy, she realizes that she can’t stay mad at him and she loves him so they frick and make up. Melanie and Martin agree to take care of Quincy until Jon and Georgie save the world. When Jon and Georgie make it to the Panopticon, Elias is there. Elias is sad because even though he is immortal and all-powerful, he doesn’t have love like Jon and Georgie do. Jon defeats Elias--who is weakened from his remorse--in an eye-power battle. Jon wins and somehow killing Elias restores the world exactly to normal (but the fears are still there.) Everyone forgets what happened except for Jon, Georgie, Melanie, and Martin. Jon takes over the Institute and runs it except now it’s good that he’s collecting people’s statements because he’s severed his and the institute’s connection with the eye yet he still has eye powers. He and Georgie move to the suburbs, marry, and raise Quincy together. Martin and Melanie continue working at the institute and also get married. The last line of the show is some lame joke at Martin’s expense.

HSMTMTS 2x11: Let us pull up a chair as the dining room proudly presents... the reason for my next mental breakdown
I can't believe myself, honestly. Oversleeping on the one day of the week that I've got something exciting to wake up for? Oh well, I'm up now and I'd better go ahead and do this before my dashboard has showered me with spoilers. I mean, I have never really minded spoilers, but when it comes to this, somehow I do. Though I do wish something had forewarned me about last week's snap ending (get it, 'snap'... I'll see myself out). I'd better dive in already.
Yes, Mr Mazzara, that's what I've been saying for a while! Ok, maybe I haven't been very vocal about it, but it was in the foreground of my mind that they should have asked for Mr Mazzara's help re: transformation! I'm just glad he pointed it out. Not that he could have done much while he was busy playing therapist for his beloved Miss Jenn. Oh well.
Were those Ash and Ricky doing actual paired-up warmups? That is what they should have been doing for weeks now. That and having actual off-stage interactions, too. But I still subscribe to the theory that the gang had some good rehearsals off-screen — otherwise there's no way they could have been this good on stage as we saw in the previews. I said it last time and I'll say it again — not everything is for us to see.
Wow. The one time our leads are in unison, and it is about both being injured. The East High drama club must be cursed — they can't have one production run smoothly and without what can only be described as pure unbridled chaos.
They don't have any understudies? That explains some things... but also how? But also, I'm so happy Ashlyn is going on. No way she would have missed her first (first of many, right?) chance of being the lead because of some 'minor' injury.
Ricky and Nini still can't talk to each other properly. Oh well. Take your time. It's not like I care about this pairing anymore.
Did EJ just use the word 'dig'? Boy, the boy's got it baaaaaad. Also, what is it going to take for these two to realise they're in love? For all we know, they might have that big kiss we're all dreaming of and still be like 'nah, it's nothing, we're buddies'... give me a break! But I mean, at this point they might just be turning into Redlyn 2.0, where even a kiss doesn't define things. But hey, if they do follow in Redlyn's footsteps, that only means good things in their future, right?
What did that fake French git do to my boy Carlos? He's not supposed to look this inanimate until right before the climax of the play! Well, I mean, at least Seb serving as his interpreter means that Seb gets more lines for a bit. Too bad he can't go on for someone with more lines in the play.
Miss Jenn's 'words of inspiration' were less than inspired... yeah, this show's going down. Or it would, if it depended solely on her. Let's hope the kids do better. I mean, I know for a fact they will... at least for about 5 minutes of the thing. There is still room for things to go wrong and I'm scared.
Oh, my sweet boy... I wish I could jump in there and do something to help him feel less nervous. Thing is, if I were there, I'd probably be the most nervous of them all, even if I were playing Townsfolk #3 or something, and everyone's nervousness would rub off on me, and I would be making things worse instead of helping. So yeah, I'm kind of glad I'm not there.
Ahhhh who called it? @redlyncentral was it you? Ash got flowers for her Biggie! And there's a card whose contents we've yet to see. But that doesn't seem to be helping either. My sweet, sweet Reddy... I hope and pray he'll be alright.
Well this is awkward! Who told Mike to show up and shake everything up right now? Miss Jenn is literally on the brink of exploding, and now she's stuck in this completely unnecessary love triangle. She needs some space. And a quiet place to breathe, thanks Mr M for suggesting it.
'Did we forget to build a mote around the school or...' Yeah, you tell her, Rick! That girl whose name I never want to pronounce (because it makes me think of much nicer people and she's making me hate it) has no business being there. She's not... being given a redemption arc, is she now? Some people just don't deserve it. And if hating her is an unpopular opinion now, well, I never did care much about having popular opinions. I can live with that.
'Lily, scram!' Yes, thank you, Natalie! I've always wanted someone who would voice my thoughts in a way that the characters can hear them. Make this girl a main next season, won't you? (Just so we're crystal clear, I mean Natalie, not the other one.)
OMG Mr M is in the play! In a way... I love that!
I love, love, love the way they did the prologue. 'Repulsed [the prince makes an over-the-top gesture of repulsion] by her haggard appearance [the witch shows off her face to the audience]...' I love this. I would pay a lot for a chance to see their entire play, you know?
Oh dear, somebody give my boy Reddy some sort of... medical aid against all the throwing up! I've got a nice pill that helps me with my bad cases of motion sickness. Hey, so maybe I could have helped if I were there after all. Great, now I feel bad. But also, is all the throwing up an excuse on the writers' part to keep my boy off-screen for the majority of this episode? Because it's a really lame excuse.
Gina's 'Many questions' continues to be a mood. What exactly is Miss Jenn expecting from the kids? Last-minute adjustments? No way. This spells disaster.
Was Carlos on vocal rest or something? Because he shines like the star he is... despite all the very obvious nervousness backstage. I mean, I wouldn't have it any other way, but... oh well, I wouldn't say it's unrealistic. In my personal performing experience, the most nervous ones perform the best. (So... what is that saying for my boy Reddy? Good things only.)
I've already had the opportunity to geek out about Be Our Guest yesterday, but... I mean, just look at them! Carlos doesn't need actual candles to be on fire, Ashlyn is stealing the scene without any lines in it, Gina is absolutely gorgeous, and don't even get me started on EJ and Big Red looking at their girls in absolute awe! This is everything!
Aww, look at them! Gina and Ashlyn dancing together, I mean. They're sisters and it really shows. And I love them both so much.
Kourtney is an absolute show-stealer! I'm still upset about some casting choices (one of them is in this scene, doing his absolute best with the crumbs he has been given), but she is absolutely perfect. I think I'll rewind and watch this entire scene again before moving on with the rest of the episode.
I'd just like to point out that Frankie's voice in his lower register is everything!
'You absolutely dusted that stage'... Not EJ making a pun so punny even I could not have thought of it... boy is absolutely smitten!
Not me tearing up when Jordan Fisher appeared as Gina's brother... like, I knew it was happening — I knew it even before it was announced. And I still teared up because, well, it's emotional in-universe and out.
Awww, my boy Reddy is so in love with Ashlyn... I mean, who wouldn't be... but — not Ricky saying Lily might not be as mean as they thought. Especially not to Big Red of all people. To him, she was just as mean as they thought.
'Side hustle project in the south hallway'? Ooh, what is it, I want to know now!
Why do I feel like things are a bit too awkward between Kourtney and Howie? Not that I'm too invested in their relationship, but if it bothered me, imagine how it must feel for the stans.
No, Ash, you absolutely do not need to add any fancy riffs to the song! Especially not just because L... well, that girl did it. You're unique and lovely and a literal Disney princess inside and out. That girl? She's just a wolf in a sparkling golden dress.
Awww... Big Red literally lowers Ash's blood pressure! Those two are such an amazing couple! (Full disclosure, though, he kind of does the same for me too; the other night I had this horrible nightmare, and I woke up in cold sweat in the middle of the night, and then... ok, getting too personal there.) The point is, if even the fantasy of a Big Red hug makes me feel better, imagine what his actual presence would do for Ash at that moment. Where is my boy? Everyone seems to be looking for him.
Oh... guess they took my advice to give the poor boy something for his vomiting issue. Good for whoever thought of it.
And we're back to the Porter siblings... forgive me if I still can't wrap my head around calling Gina's brother Jamie. I don't know about you guys, but thanks to my lovely new friend Paz he will always be Theodore to me. I guess we can headcanon that as his middle name. Anyway, I love it that they made a joke about the hilarious height difference between him and Gina because, well, it's the only thing I can think about when I look at the two of them. It reminds me of me and my little cousin who has been taller than me since she was 10, and is still growing taller now at 13. But, I mean, it's not very hard to be taller than me, since I'm so, so short... ok, this is not about me. Moving on.
Was I the only one who actually laughed out loud at Ricky drinking from the bowl as the Beast? I mean, that part has always made me laugh in the original movie, but something about Ricky's take on it makes it even funnier.
Meanwhile, my girl Ash is absolutely killing it as Belle. Not me having the very same expression as Big Red while watching her... gosh, I love both of them so much! Also, no offence to the rest of the cast, but Julia really is the best vocalist out there. Out of all of them. I said what I said.
My apologies to Ricky, but his voice is just not it when it comes to playing the Beast. Still, with the other option being him putting on that fake deep voice from the audition, I'm glad he didn't.
Ahhhh Portwell nation you ok guys? Since we didn't get them singing Something There, this is very much the next best thing... and boy, is it good!
Those glances between Kourtney and Howie, on the other hand... what on Earth is happening there?
Ok, so you all know just how strongly I feel about Seb's casting as Chip, and yet... boy had one line and absolutely ate it up! Give him an actual singing role next time, Miss Jenn!
EJ being starstruck by Jamie not because he's a big music producer, but because he's Gina's brother... excuse me while I sob!
Excuse me, what!!!! 'A big brother figure'? Boy, this didn't turn out the way I thought it would... now I'm scared.
Way to ruin things, Jamie! And I don't even mean the fact that his name is not Theodore. It doesn't matter what his name is anymore. He might just have put a spanner in the works of Portwell, and they were just doing so well! Ugh, I'm so frustrated. I wish I'd never boarded — what did I call it — 'the majestic S.S. Portwell'. What if it doesn't set sail now?
And there goes another disappointment... Carlos' 'the orchestra hasn't vamped this much since Bop to the Top' line had nothing to do with Seblos, and everything to do with what might still be the downfall of this show. I am not ready.
No. Miss Jenn did not just say that. She did not just tell Ricky — who, may I remind you, not that anyone's forgotten, just fell off of a high place last episode — to 'jump off of something high'. I realise she's under all the pressure, but that is not an excuse. Well, at least she heard herself.
Oh my gods... Nini — well, Nina, actually — did not just call him 'Richard', did she? That's it, that's the point of no return. And well, I kind of wanted them to reach it.
Told you, didn't I? I told you that-girl-who-must-not-be-named was evil! I always follow my intuition and it has not once deceived me. Redeem that, if you can! Guess what? You can't. We've just reached another point of no return.
Wait, a bloody cliffhanger? I cannot handle this. I physically cannot handle this. If you need me, I'll be sitting on my bed in shock, trying to process everything that happened. I'll need a while to get a grip on myself.

Hiiii! UGH I LOVE YOUR WORK. May I request a Levi angst? Where Levi and reader are dating, and Levi is talking to Erwin or Mike about the reader and putting up a front about his feelings but it hurts the readers feelings so she starts acting distant until he confronts her and he finally expresses his true feelings to her.
warnings; cursing but not too much. (like maybe 3 times)
Hello, I’m happy you enjoy it! Please enjoy~🍰
*******************************************************
Tumblr media
“You two are ridiculous“ Levi said as he massaged his temples
“It’s true Levi ever since meeting her you’ve been...softer.“ Mike chuckled “What happened to the cold captain everyone feared?“ he teased making the short man click his tongue. although it was true, he had gone a bit softer after dating you.The both of you have been together for about 6 months now and his feelings have only grown since then.
coming up the way he did he never truly knew what it was like to love someone, or be loved by someone. When he meant you he felt something he never did before, it was something so foreign yet addicting. The day he asked you out he was a mess, he wasn't acting like himself and it was only you that had this effect on him.
Even his co-workers have been noticing an obvious change. He doesn’t mind the change, especially if it was for you. But in no way has he changed as a captain.
“Still the same nothing has changed“ he said starting to get irritated
“Well the way you’re going I’ll expect a wedding by next week“ Mike urged on
“Mike I think that is-“
“Just admit it, she made you soft, she’s the reason you changed. She brings you tea, helps with your work.“
“Damn it, I told you she’s done nothing for me! I don’t know what you see but some girl who waltz into my life won’t change the bastard you’ve always known.“ he stands from his seat making his way to the door “I can let her go without a second thought and I’d be just fine.“ he opens the door and instead of finding the hallway, he find you.
Eyes full of tears about to spill, your lip between your teeth. In your hands a pot of tea and a few cups.
“Y/N...I..what did you-“
“Everything...I heard everything!“ you finally let out as the tears fall down your face. “If you felt that way you could have just told me!” Dropping the tea the cups shatter and the tea spills as you dart down the hall away from him
“Y/N, please I can explain!“ you didn’t stop and kept going “..wait..“ he mumbled. He turns back into the room and slumps on to the sofa pinching the bridge of his nose
“I fucked up...big time...“
“Yes you did“ Levi sends a glare toward Mike and Erwin sighs
“I told you to stop Mike, as for you Levi, you need to make it up to her“ he stands from his seat “Just because you love someone doesn’t make you any weaker.“
Eyebrow was right, he had to make it up to you, and fast
------------
You couldn’t believe he really felt that way..how could he keep that? You loved him with all your heart and you could have sworn he did too. Was it all a lie? Were you just not good enough for him?
A knock came to the door. You wipe your eyes and walk to the door. Opening it it slightly you see it’s Levi. You groan as you open the door
“Yes captain?“ you said without meeting his eyes. Using captain instead of name stung his heart.
“I’ve told you to call me by my name“ he said as softly as he could
“I’m just trying to gain your respect, captain. I’m not feeling good at the moment, so please I’d like to be alone..“ you said as you close the door but stop as Levi puts his foot in the door
“Y/N, please let me explain what happened. What I said was-“
“I get it Levi, I’m obviously a burden and I’ll just be extra weight..“ your voice cracks a little which makes his heart ache. He wanted to protect you, love you, not hurt you.
“Now please...“ he wouldn’t make the situation worse so he lets you close the door. He leans his forehead against the door, completely frustrated with himself. He needed to find a way to apologize, before he lost you.
----
The next three days were restless. You were in your old room instead of sleeping in his arms. You avoided him as much as you could, only interacting when needed. He missed you making tea for him, how you would make the day’s stress melt away. Mike wasn’t wrong though, he did have a soft spot for you. How could he not? You made his entire life so much brighter.
He did want to propose to you...he really did. To be able to call you his for the rest of your lives was all he wanted, but he just had to screw it up with his pride.
He was just leaning against the wall as he contemplated about everything. Suddenly a flick came to his forehead
“You’re an idiot ya know“ spoke a very familiar voice
“Hanji what the hell?“ he said rubbing at the red spot
“She’s really hurt and all you can do is sulk? At least make a few attempts“
“I have..“ he said almost embarrassed “I bought her flowers, books, art supplies..nothings worked”
“She doesn’t want material things she wants you to comfort and apologize“ she flicks him again causing a groan to escape again.”Here“ she gives him a small piece of paper
“Just be there when everyone has cleared out.” saying no more, she leaves. Reading the paper it says
Rooftop at midnight.
Four eyes better know what she’s doing.
-------------------
He sat on the edge of the roof looking up in to the night sky. Gazing at the beautiful moon as it lit up the sky. The glow made your surroundings look surreal, almost like a dream. You would have stayed there all night and watch the moon, until someone cleared their throat.
Looking to your left there stood Levi. You stood straight with no expression.
“Y/N...“ he spoke softly with a hand full of flowers. You simply look at the ground “...Hange set this up huh?“
“Y-yeah she did..“
Damn it! That was too awkward, just be...straight forward
“Listen..I really need to explain my self“ he walked to you “I never meant a word I said. i love you and you know that, nothing in this world means more.“
“...then why did you say it?“
“I was...I..I couldn’t..“ he was struggling and tripping over his words
“You..what?“ you asked expectantly hoping for an answer you’d like
“I don’t want anyone knowing you’re my weak spot..... I don’t mean that in a bad way. You know I will do anything for you, even rest my own life. I don’t want people to use you against me and possibly get you hurt.” He came closer “ and it’s true you have changed me. I’m not the same man I was before. I’ve changed and I’m so grateful that you’ve made me change. It’s one of the many things I love about you”
He takes your hands in his ans stares deep into your now tears eyes. I felt your heart throb as he explained himself and confessed his true feelings.
”We’re living in a shit world and you’re the only life that I ever had. Please know that everything I said wasn’t true.... in case you don’t believe me I brought this with me...”
he pulls out a small silver band from his pocket “,this was for after we eradicated the Titans, but if it means I have to prove my love for you then I’ll do it now. I’m sorry...for everything I’ve said and done.”
Honestly you just want an explanation. But this was much more than you anticipated. Do you want yourself onto him wrapping your arms around his neck. He stumbles and falls back with you in his embrace
”Yes Levi! W-well..I’m sorry too for being stubborn I just-” Levi stops you with a kiss
“ don’t apologize, you never needed to.” He pulls you into another hug, only your clothes leaving layer layer between you both. His lips capture yours once again. If you’re pulling away he takes a hold of your left hand and slide the ring onto your ring finger.
“ now I get to rub this in Mike’s face” he smirked
*******************************************************
I hope this was OK, I’m not feeling too well at the moment but I hope this is what you were looking for❤️

Anon: after your last imagine I can't shake college Damian off my mind, can I request one about him and his s/o in college? I don't really have an specific idea but something like walking them to class, studying together, getting each other coffee and just overall taking care of each other. Notes: I didn’t get to cover everything in the request because there are too many scenes and I didn’t wanna turn this into a bullet point fic. Hope you like it though! Words: 2,774
     “No.”
The girl that approached the table looked forlorn and her friends slowly helped her walk away.
“Ugh,” Will groans. He’s one of Damian Wayne’s friends and their varsity is currently doing charity work for Gotham Academy. Will took a brilliant idea from the internet where they set up a table offering people to walk them around campus if they feel bullied or generally unsafe.
“You can’t keep saying no to people, Wayne. That’s not how the charity works.”
Damian clicked his tongue. “I know exactly how this works, and those girls did not need assistance.”
“Yeah. In the bedroom, they did,” Mike laughs and tries to fistbump Will who just stares at him until he puts his hands down.
Damian’s attention is already taken by you. He kicks back his seat to leave.
“Where are you going now?” Will whines.
“Helping someone who actually needs it.”
You’re walking to your next class while looking over your shoulder every now and then. To Damian, they’re simple signals of someone who feels like they’re being followed. So he stands right in front of your path in the middle of the quad where there is a multitude of people around. You almost bump into him but he quickly takes a step back to give you your space.
You know him. Everybody on campus knows him. He’s the greatest player the football team has ever had. Too bad he left halfway through his first semester and joined the swim team instead.
Damian is staring down at you from being almost a foot taller. Then something catches his eye and he looks at someone behind you who quickly hides behind a statue.
You see a small snarl on the corners of his lips before he starts taking steps around you. You stop him immediately.
     “You can’t--”
     “Why not?” Damian quickly asks.
“If you-- if you get in a fight again, they’ll kick you off the team.”
Damian raises his eyebrows in thought, “That doesn’t sound like much of a loss to me.”
“Please don’t.” You grip his arm tighter.
He stares at you, “Why haven’t you reported him?”
“He-- he hasn’t done anything. He’s smart. He keeps his distance and no one has actually noticed him following me around.”
     “I did.”
And you want to thank him for that. This whole semester has been a nightmare for you. It started with your survival instincts kicking in, always warning you that you’re in danger. Your gut has never failed you so you listened. But this stalker is so good that he’s hidden himself well from all of your friends. Friends you’ve lost because they deemed you too paranoid and anxious.
“Come on.” Damian’s voice saves you from your thoughts. “I’ll walk you to your class. Spanish, right?”
You’re stunned, “How-- how do you know that?”
He rolls his eyes and then points at your books. “It’s the one on top of your pile. Lucky guess.”
You suddenly feel assured and laugh a little. “You’re quite the detective.”
His eyes widen at the comment and he slowly turns back to you. “You have no idea.”
Damian walks you right up to the door of your classroom. As soon as you thank him, he leaves and heads for his own class. When it’s time for lunch, you’re surprised to find him standing against the wall outside of the room.
     “You’re here.”
Do you have another class?” he asks you while his eyes roam the hallways.
“No, I’m about to have lunch.”
“Okay. Let’s go.” Without giving you time to respond, he starts walking to the cafeteria and you try to keep up with his strides.
So far nobody has paid attention to the two of you. But when Damian carries both of your trays to your table, the staring and the whispers start. There are even some flashes from cameras that almost blind you.
“Sorry,” he mutters under his breath while concentrating on his food.
You shake your head as you watch the lines on his brows and the irritation on his face. “It must be hard being a Wayne,” you say.
He grins at the thought of what it’s like to be a real Wayne beyond what the gossip columns say. “I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s all this stupid attention that I hate.”
“That’s probably why you don’t date, huh?” Damian looks up and stares at you with a raised eyebrow. You quickly wave your hands, “It’s just that-- my friend-- well my old friend-- she asked you out once and you said you’re not interested. We teased her that maybe you’re just not interested in her but--”
A sudden flash hits the side of your cheeks and Damian is quickly leaving his seat and marching over to another table, the table where your stalker is sitting with a camera pointed at you. You wince at the sight of it.
Damian grabs the man’s camera still strapped around his neck. “What? Did you think you could hide your flash among these paparazzi wannabes?” Before he could say anything, Damian takes off the camera and starts flipping through the pictures.
     “Hey, man! That’s mine!”
Damian scoffs. “Really? That’s good then. You can get it back from the cops.” Damian turns the camera around and shows the stalker a picture of you in the girl’s shower. His eyes widen and quickly tries to run but Damian grabs him by the collar and slams the side of his head against the table.
You watch all of this go down from your table. People’s murmurs are louder, trying to figure out what’s going on. When word reaches you that Damian is calling the cops, you feel a new kind of relief wash over you. Suddenly, your shoulders felt lighter and it’s easier to stand up straight.
Damian stays with you the whole time. Whenever the officers and the stalker’s voices got too loud, your voice would falter and Damian would speak for you, authoritatively holding everyone’s attention.
Once the stalker was detained and all evidence tagged, you and Damian walk back to campus.
     “You seem… happy.”
You didn’t even notice you’re smiling until you touch the upturned corners of your lips. “I feel kind of free… like a bird.”
     Damian snorts to himself, “Yeah.”
You mull something in your head and speak your thoughts out loud, “You planned that, didn’t you?” Damian stops walking and he’s looking at you when you turn around. “You knew he wasn’t just following me, and that he wouldn’t pass up the opportunity you created.”
Damian’s brows furrowed, “I apologize for using you as bait--”
“No!” you interrupt and hold his hands, “I was just thinking that it’s ingenious. Forget being a detective, you’re almost as good as Batman.”
Damian smirks. You suddenly see a whole new side of him probably no one on campus has ever seen. A playful one. “Just almost?”
When you reach the dorms, Damian walks you right up to your door. He takes a quick look inside to make sure you’re roommate is already there. Before you let him leave, thinking this will probably be the last time you’ll be together again, you gather up the courage to hold his arm, stand on your toes, and kiss him on the lips. “Thanks. For everything.”
Damian gives you a look before he nods and leaves. You watch a small shade of red reach the tips of his ears as you cover your own blush.
The next day, Damian Wayne is back at the table with his varsity friends. You walk by and only mean to wave at him before your next class. But as soon as he saw you, he shrugs off Mike’s arm from his shoulder and gets up to leave.
“Dude, no. You’re bailing again?” Will whines.
“You have more than enough people here. Just message me.”
Will slumps down in his seat and crosses his arms, “Yeah right. It’s not like any of us has your number.”
“They don’t look too happy about you leaving,” you tease as he approaches you.
He shrugs nonchalantly, “They’ll live.” He gives you a long look before he raises an eyebrow in curiosity, “You seem happier today.” You quickly blush and immediately think of the kiss from last night. “You’re thinking about the kiss, aren’t you?”
You stare at Damian with wide eyes. You wonder if he’s either a real detective or you’re just too obvious. You laugh, “You, too. I mean you’re actually teasing me. Where is the always-reserved Damian Wayne of Gotham Academy and what have you done to him?”
He smirks and points ahead to the direction of your next classroom, World History. You look down at the top book in your pile and roll your eyes. Definitely the detective. Definitely obvious.
After class, there’s no Damian standing outside waiting for you. You try not to feel the tiny pang in your chest and walk to your Figure Drawing class. As soon as you walk in, you come face to face with a very naked Damian Wayne.
When Damian returned to the varsity table, Will had given him punishment for bailing twice in a row and volunteered him to be the model for a class. Damian has absolutely no problems with appearing naked in front of anybody. To him, this was just a chore he had to do to live up to his civilian identity.
But as soon as he sees you walk in through the door and your eyes roam from his head all the way down to his toes, he grits his teeth. “I’ll kill him.”
“Y/N, please. You’re already late. Take your seat.”
Your lecturer’s voice jolts you back to your senses and you quickly take a seat on the far side of the room. It’s one of the most grueling classes you’ve been in since you got to the academy. Damian avoided your eyes the whole time.
     “Y/N, wait for me.”
Damian calls out while he put on his clothes. You’re already standing by the door and a lot of people had stayed to continue to watch him. When they heard him call out to you, they instantly turn and glare.
As soon as he reaches you, he puts his arm around your shoulder and you walk out together. You can feel the heavy weight of his arm rest on top of you.
“Do you have another class?” he asks. You shake your head, still unable to speak to him because you keep seeing him naked inside your head. “Good. Let’s have lunch in the city.”
Damian takes you to a small diner hidden in a corner between the business district and the Narrows. The lunch rush is already over and you find yourselves in a corner booth.
“Wow,” you say. “I never expected you to eat at a place like this. You’re more down-to-Earth than I thought.”
     “As opposed to what?”
“Oh, I don’t know. Being a rich kid? Everything handed to you on a silver platter?”
“Trust me, Y/N. Nothing was ever handed to me. Everything I have-- everything I am, I worked for.”
You prop your elbow on the table as you look at the once menacing Damian Wayne. The past two days, you’ve spent with him have completely changed your opinion about him and a little of the ancient Wayne family.
     Speaking of.
“My family’s here,” Damian mutters as he scoots over until he’s sitting next to you, freeing up his side of the booth. A group of four walks into the diner and start heading for your booth. “Damian!”
     “Good morning, Grayson. Cain.”
Two of the four, nod their heads at you. While the shortest boy, who is still taller than you, crosses his arms. “Rude. What about us?”
Damian doesn’t pay him any attention. You watch as they enter the booth in a single file.
     “Late night?” Damian asks.
The one he called Grayson gives a long sigh as he sits next to Damian. “You have no idea. Would’ve been faster if Rob-- Ow!” The tallest of the three elbows him and nudges his head toward you. “Oh, hello there.”
“Are you on a date?” asks the girl he called Cain, smiling.
     “Yes.”
“We are?” you ask right away. You tried to keep your voice low but from the way their eyes widen, you know they heard you.
They look at each other and smirk. “Looks like you forgot to inform your date,” teases the tallest one.
Damian smirks to himself before replying. “Y/N can’t think straight at the moment. Still a little flustered after seeing me naked.”
Damian pulls you closer to him to avoid the spray of water from one of his siblings. “We really shouldn’t be letting you loose into society without a harness, Drake.”
“It was for figure drawing class,” you chuckle to break the tension, and try to appease their wide eyes with your waving hands. “I’m Y/N by the way. I go to GA, too.”
“I’m Dick,” one of his siblings reaches around Damian to shake your hand. “These are Cass, Jason, and Tim. We’re Damian’s siblings--”
     “Adopted.”
Jason looms over the table and grabs Damian’s head to harshly rub his knuckles into his hair. “You don’t have to say that every time, demon.”
     “Todd-- Stop it--”
Dick tries to pry them apart but ultimately fails and accidentally gets punched by one of Damian’s flailing limbs, making Jason laugh. “You may have gotten bigger, but you’re still a runt!”
     “Not-- as much-- as Drake--”
Tim, who’s sitting at the outer edge of the booth across from you, apologizes for his brothers with a sigh. “I wish I could tell you that we’re not always like this.”
You smile at the thought and finally realize why Damian is always so reserved on campus. He’s the youngest of such a big and lively family. Dick and Tim are familiar, too. You’ve seen their faces on the Legacy Wall of the academy. You’ve seen a few pictures of Jason and Cass, too but not as much.
This is what Damian meant when he said he’s worked hard for everything in his life. It must be hard living behind so many giant shadows.
When Cass finally intervenes and disentangles the boys, you place your hand over Damian’s as he sits back down. He turns to you and you give him a supportive smile.
He smirks and raises an eyebrow, “You keep getting into a better mood each time I look at you.”
You blush a little because who would ever expect someone to just say things like that. “Maybe your company just does that to me,” you tease back.
You hear a quick snicker from Dick and both of you turn to him. He’s visibly whispering to Cass but it’s audible enough for you to hear. “They’readorable.”
After that, Damian never took you back to the diner again, not wanting to let his siblings see the two of you together. But on campus, you are almost always together.
“Stop! Stop!” you laugh and try to protect yourself from the whirlwind of water Damian is sending your way as he shakes his head. He had just finished training and met up with you at the stands where you’ve been studying while waiting.
Damian leans down and kisses you on the lips. Your eyes widen before they slowly close as you let him lead. You hear catcalls from his teammates and you can already guess that Damian’s flipping them off.
“Okay. Come here.” You break the kiss and pull down the towel he had draped around his shoulders. You use it to properly rub his head and dry off his hair. “You must be tired. That ran longer than usual.”
Damian tries to look at you as you keep drying his hair, “Competition’s next week so we’re doing last-minute checks on everyone’s forms. Did you wait long?”
You nod your head like a child. “Been here since morning. It’s so hard to date a varsity,” you groan.
Damian takes the towel from you and rubs your face with it. “Think that’s hard? Try dating a vigilante.”
You giggle as you try to fight Damian for the towel, “I wouldn’t mind that. Batman seems to be getting hotter these days.”
You’re only teasing him and he knows it. But you don’t know that the mantle of Batman has been passed down to him. So he laughs out loud and it’s one of those rarest moments you want to treasure but you also can’t resist the urge to just kiss this happy and carefree version of Damian Wayne.
