Bo Burnham has been found...at the premiere of Kate in Los Angeles! 👀
Not a huge surprise since he's the director of Kate Berlant's one-woman play, but at least now the death rumors can be put to rest. And it seems he was there with Phoebe Bridgers per the article.
Bo lives, people—no bomberanian mishaps! 🙌
In other news, that list of celebrities in attendance is wild! I've got some photos that will help explain their friendships/connections with Kate and/or Bo:
Molly Shannon was in Promising Young Woman with Bo
Olivia Wilde and Bo did an interview together and were at the same red carpet events during his Eighth Grade era. Also Kate was the always-pregnant neighbor in Don't Worry Darling.
Kumail Nanjiani and Bo are good friends, dating back to Kroll Show and the Meltdown. And of course they are both in The Big Sick!
Nathan Fielder and Kate did an interview together and were photographed at the GQ Men of the Year party
Abbi Jacobson obviously knows Kate from A League of Their Own (RIP...such a wonderful show, and neurotic Shirley was the BEST)
Reggie Watts and Bo go way back, and Bo cited him as one of his favorite comedians in his 2010 list (which I will eventually finish analyzing lol). And of course Kate and Reggie have done improv together for years, even including Kate appearing with Rory Scovel in Reggie's comedy special Spatial!
Chelsea Peretti and Bo are friends and her Largo show was one of the only live events he has done since Inside
Here's hoping we get some new photos of the celebs in attendance! 🤞🏼

OMITB season 4 — cast announcements
OMITB season 4 — cast announcements
More cast news for season 4 of Only Murders in the Building, acting as a timely reminder I haven’t really cracked on with season 3 yet! Deadline reports Eugene Levy will be playing a recurring character, alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez as well as new recurring players Molly Shannon and Eva Longoria and returning Meryl Streep.

Here's a hot take on something that maybe no one else has a hot take on: the 2008 remake of Kath & Kim did not suck and well on its way to establishing itself as its own thing separate from the Australian original. If you read reviews of it from back in the day, many dismiss it as something no one would want to watch because of its focus on these two women who are tacky as hell and mean to each other half the time. But I would say it was ahead of its time. During the one season this was on NBC, Real Housewives became a franchise and Drag Race debuted, and both series traffic in the same sensibilities seen in the U.S. Kath and Kim.
Last week on my podcast, Gayest Episode Ever, we talked about the original Australian version, so this week we looked at the American remake's treatment of the same basic episode. And while it's not perfect, there's a lot of promise here.
Also? More than one review knocks Selma Blair for being too pretty to be funny, basically, and that's not only such a weird statement to make but it also makes it easier to see how preconceptions about how women should be/should act played heavily into the way this show was judged.
