so today i’ve received the reading pensum for my literature class (”queering the canon”) next semester, starting in october, and i am honestly so excited already and can’t wait to start reading (already picked the books up from my local book store!)

El día de hoy se ingresaron notas a coac (base datos de notas de mi facultad), ya esta listo el ultimo curso, el ultimo que me faltaba, por el cual me quede el año pasado, ahora cuento con los 74 cursos aprobados en total, ya no mas penas, nervios, angustias y enojos, soy pensum cerrado.

El odio por algunos profesores creo que nunca va a desaparecer, pero hoy estoy tan contento, me da igual ya la facultad, toda su corrupción y catedráticos que o hacen su trabajo desde hoy me da igual, ya no afectara mas en mi formación académica.

Se cierra una etapa en mi vida, no puedo decir exactamente si buena o mala pero lo que si puedo decir es que es un nuevo inicio, y como cada inicio hay cierta sensación de temor y nervios debido a lo desconocido, me mantendré al tanto a mi mismo de todo lo que pueda pasar, por el momento me quedare viendo ese 78/100 que aprueba mi curso.

Und bis dahin, möchte ich euch einen Song mitgeben, der mir mitten im Schreibprozess begegnet ist und so sehr diese Geschichte ist. Dieser Song lief schon on repeat beim Schreiben, über Kopfhörer, über Bluetooth-Lautsprecher, seit ich weiß, dass es ihn gibt. Ich kenne es, dass Songs mich zum Schreiben inspirieren, ständig, überall, aber das einer auftaucht und scheint, als wäre er erst für meine Story geschrieben worden, das ist irgendwie nochmal was anderes 🎶😌

IMPORTANT LIFE UPDATE // PSA

My darlings, August is almost upon us and with that my drastic life change. Can't believe so many months have passed since being accepted into the dual study program that I am about to start it already, but here we are. Today was my last shift at my old job as a full time employee. I will sporadically help out there on the weekends for extra money, but I am no longer a manager. Nonetheless, here are some basic facts about the next 3 years of my life that will basically be a 180 change to what I have been doing now for the past 10 years in hospitality.

I will have a 42h work/school week & work my second job on the weekends for some extra money, because even though I work full time/study full time, I only get paid a very small amount that will basically plunge me into poverty for the next 3 years, but I hope it will be worth it

School & work start much earlier than my job atm, so I will have early wake up calls, can't stay up long anymore for writing & have longer commutes to school and work

I will have home schooling weeks when I will be solely at home and hopefully have more time on my hands, but from what I have seen with my bestie, who is one year ahead of me, the work pensum is very intense and she basically had no life since she started

That being said, I have the upcoming week off and will use it to get everything on track here. In August we have to do voluntary service, which will be 42h per week as well, but at least there will be no homework and hopefully little stress, bc we know nothing and they can't expect much from us :D

Anyway, that is the update. I have no information so far about the internship in August and even less about the first 8 months of school, so I will update this as we go. WHAT TO EXPECT: this will be a great adjustment for me in every way possible, so please bear with me. I cannot promise my activity will be as it is now and there will be phases from now on when I am too tired or too busy to write. Writing is my greatest passion, however, so I will do what I can to be around and stay on track here, but it might not always be possible with a 50+ hour work week. Thank you for understanding <3
